julian's birthday party!!!

this is a really, really, REALLY cute set. i've never had any of the animal crossing lego sets before, but this one definitely has the attention to tiny adorable details you would want from something with the animal crossing logo on it.

the radio even has an actual mechanism for turning the rose-shaped dial, and the cherry tree is hollow for you to put a little branch in there that rattles around when you shake it!

julian's party hat is just adorable, but the best part of it is that, like many sets, there were a lot of duplicates of the tiniest, most loseable pieces, so julian has more than one hat option...

For real though, speaking as someone who's really tired of Lego neglecting making original properties in favor of just crossing over with everything, Lego and Animal Crossing is such a good fit for each other. And I'm glad most of these sets are fairly inexpensive (at least by Lego standards) Actually kinda excited for this.
