Wiping away the accumulating tears running down their face, the Kitsune noticed his pause, the mask being waved at them dropping to the killer’s side. They had never thought this conversation would end up effecting the eldest legion in this manner, one of their ears subtly twitching as they picked up on his tone. The fox couldn’t even bring themselves to be upset at Frank’s rebuttal to their apology, seeing how utterly hurt he was from all of this. Standing up from the couch, trying to remain eye to eye with the tattooed man.

“You can believe I’m lying all you want.” The kitsune’s eye contact faltered, trying to find the right words to soothe their companion, their ears falling back flat against their head. Wanting to reach out to comfort him, their paw wavering before being stuck back in their pocket, wanting to keep him from leaving. Ultimately, Kitsu knew they were powerless if he really wanted to go. “I have never lied to you, Frank. I hope one day, eventually, you can see that.”

With a sigh, the fox looked back up at him, a soft yet sad expression on their face. “I wish I knew what you were thinking so I can ease those fears, that… hatred you have in your head. If I could take that from you so you wouldn’t hurt anymore, I would, without another thought about it.” Kitsu carried many burdens with them as it is- what was one more added to the list of many?

“…Let me at least give you my love, then… Before you go.” The Kitsune proposed, sitting down at the edge of the couch, their back against the armrest. One of their legs was propped up on the cushions, the other off to the side as they patted the worn sofa, trying to coax the killer into sitting with them, albeit quite a bit closer than before.

The vulpine knew perfectly well he didn’t have to accept their offer, and walk off to continue having it as it had always been- killer and survivor. Every time he would leave, there was always the worry that it would be the last time they would see each other like this- something that the fox knew was a possibility. They just hoped that if he did walk away, this wouldn’t be the last time they would meet like this again.

(To Frank ->) “ Even if i did have feelings for you, what would it matter? you don’t feel the same way about me. ”

WHAT A FUNNY THING...A CONFESSION.

The tall Legion member turned his head towards the direction of where the distressed tone of the other was coming from. His expression hidden beneath the smiling mask he was usually wore but his body, it spoke for him. Bandaged fists clenched tightly. Shoulders back and tensed. FEELINGS? For HIM? Funny...There were SO MANY INDIVIDULOUS he had met that had fallen for him. And KITSU was right - he DIDN'T feel the same way about them - he didn't love anyone regardless. What made them special?

"You're RIGHT...It DOESN'T matter to me. You aren't the first to go spilling your heart to me like that..." He began to push up the dirtied mask, pierced brows furrowing as he frowned. "Making yourself so VULNERABLE because you want me in bed...You dream of it, don't you? Having me NEXT to YOU? CARESSING you? TOUCHING you?" He laughed mockingly. "It's awfully pathetic..."

LOVE...it was something he didn't believe he himself deserved - he had done so much bad shit, BORN into bad situations, what had he one to earn it; earn TRUE LOVE? Nothing. He did love once, however. With JULIE. But she was a tale that he didn't like thinking back on. Even SHE had been toxic to him, hurting him, breaking him down. Thinking about loving someone else just didn't feel plausible.

He took a brief pause. Watching. Thinking about something. "You WANT someone to LOVE YOU...But it WON'T be ME..." He lowered the mask down over his face, crossing his arms tightly over his strong chest.
