The Spyro reignited trilogy is lance and Keith’s favorite game! Why you ask?
Yep. There are kissing fairy’s and bipedal hippo fairies in Spyro reignited trilogy.
Lance: seriously though! How cool would it be to get kisses from pretty fairies that give you super powers?! 😁
Keith: Nevermind the fairies. The hippo people are the draw here!
Lance: but Keith! Their fairies!
Keith: ….. you wouldn’t even try beating the game would you? You’d spend all your time getting kisses from the fairy over and over again wouldn’t you.
Lance: …….😐
Keith: yeah that’s what I thought. 😒

Carl's Cool Kids and Hardee's Cool Kids Meal Toys (part 1/?)
Hello all,
Not too long ago, I made a post about the Cyberchase toys that were available from Carl's Jr. and Hardees back in 2003. This was a tiny part of the Cool Kids promotion that was shared between the two restaurants. The Cool Kids promotion itself lasted about 18 years, based on the archives that I have seen. It started with a "Cow and Chicken" promotion back in February of 2000.
The last promotion is unknown, as the links for November 2017 through April 2018 are missing their graphics, and their target pages are broken. The last one that has its image archived was an August/September 2017 promotion for "oddbods".
For the most part, I am going to stick to the "past promotion" pages, as those give us images and names for all of the products all in one image. If this is missing, then I will attempt to use the set of images from the "toy closeups" page. However, I will need to skip some of these promotions entirely, as I was unable to find images from them.
The year 2000
For February and March of 2000, we have a set of toys from the legendary old Cartoon Network show "Cow and Chicken". I remember watching this sometimes when visiting my grandma, who had cable. I don't really remember it though.
For April and June of 2000, was have "Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot". I have never heard of this before. It ran on Fox Kids in 2001, so I am a bit surprised that I didn't see it alongside other shows I watched back then.
For June and July of 2000, we get a version of Tom and Jerry that was airing on cartoon network. What can I say about these two that hasn't already been said? I remember watching a few incarnations of Tom and Jerry. I think this is the one with William Hanna and Joseph Barbara. It doesn't look like the Chuck Jones variant from what I remember.
For July and August of 2000, we get some superheroes from DC. One thing I notice about these toys is that they don't have a consistent art-style. Wonder Woman is a particularly obvious outlier. They don't seem to be associated with a particular cartoon incarnation.
For September and November of 2000, we have "Brothers Flub". My only opportunity to watch Nickelodeon was visiting my grandma. I don't think I ever saw this show. Apparently the brothers are space couriers.
For October of 2000, we get "Monster Buckets". This picture is grainy, so I cannot make out all of the art. I wonder if this was custom-made, or if this was pre-existing art.
For November and December of 2000, we get "Tiny Toon Adventures". I've only seen bits and pieces of this myself. I know it has a huge following that endures to this day.
For January and February of 2001, we got toys for "Godzilla: The Series". This is another one that aired on Fox Kids back when I watched that channel. However, I don't remember ever seeing this series.
For March and April of 2001, we got "Max Steel". I had never heard of this series before. Apparently, this kids gets attacked by the villain and nearly killed by nano-bots. In an effort to save his life, he is given T-Juice, which saves his life and gives him superhuman abilities.
For April and May of 2001, we get "Monster Rancher". This is not a franchise that I am familiar with, but it is apparently pretty big and ongoing.
For June 2001, we get Crash Bandicoot. He's kind of a big deal. And Spyro is here as well.
For July and August of 2001, we got Wallace and Grommit. This was before the "Curse of the Were-Rabbit" film, which was probably my introduction to the franchise.
And now, we reach a gap. In September 2001, there was a Nascar promotion. And then, in November and December of 2001, there was an "Olive the Other Reindeer" promotion. I couldn't find any official photos for these promotions.
2002
In January and February of 2002, we got Phantom Investigators. I find this promotion fascinating. The series only ran for 13 episodes, between May and August of 2002. These are probably the only toys that were ever released for the series. They may be the only merch of any sort released for the show. I need to sit down and watch it, as the art style is something really special.
For February and March of 2002, we get a Pokemon promotion with little cups topped with Pikachu, Totodile, Mewtwo, and Charizard.
For April and May of 2002, we get the legendary magical girl anime Cardcaptors, based on the manga Cardcaptor Sakura.
And now, we get another gap. I couldn't find any official images for the June 2002 Spider-man promotion.
For August 2002, we get some Digimon toys.
For September 2002, we get "Jackie Chan Adventures". I loved this show growing up. I didn't get to see it very often, but it was good.
For October 2002, we got some Spider-man Halloween buckets.
For November and December of 2002, we go back to the classics for Peanuts, specifically "A Charlie Brown Christmas".
2003
Before we get into the 2003 promotions, let's bring back Cyberchase for a moment. While surviving bags of the togs show that they were released at Carl Jr's and Hardees in 2003, we don't know exactly when they were out. They were never given a promotion of their own. Instead, they were the backup toys when the currently running promotion was sold out. I'm not sure why they didn't give Cyberchase its own promotion.
For January and February of 2003. we got a promotion for the original Ice Age.
For March and April of 2003, we got a promotion for Cubix. This was a South Korean production that got a 4-Kids English dub. I don't remember it.
For May and June of 2003, we get a promotion for Dragon Ball. I hope I don't need to explain what this is. It's kind of a big deal.
For July and August of 2003, we get a promotion for "The Martians".
Now, hold on a second, I don't remember a cartoon called "The Martians" from back then. And I cannot find a cartoon by that name. Wait a minute...
Yeah, I guess Carl Jrs. and Hardees weren't comfortable with the original title of "Butt-Ugly Martians", so they renamed it to "The Martians" and re-did the logo. I couldn't find anything on the Wikipedia page about the show being renamed for different broadcasters or countries, so this may have been just for this toy release. How bizarre.
For August and September of 2003, we get a promotion for everyone's favorite mummy movie.

Nana Crie'Cai: Warlord of The Fractured
In the chaotic, fractured realm known as The Spaces Between, where time glitches and reality shatters, there emerged a warlord whose war-horn still echoes across the Skylands. Nana Crie’Cai, a towering, muscle-bound powerhouse with a loud, reckless personality and a booming voice, built her fearsome reputation on the battlefield. She led her troops not from the safety of a command tent but in the thick of the fray, her laughter ringing out as she mucked around in the dirt or drank her soldiers under the table. She was as likely to win a battle with her fists as with her strategy, her sheer physical might and blunt charisma earning the loyalty of her shadow-forged army, the Crie’Nai.
Her right-hand, Loris Foe’Dei, was equally formidable but quieter and more calculating. Together, they were an unstoppable force of chaos and destruction. Their relationship focused more on strategy and conflict, but that doesn't stop two idiots fooling around—a dynamic that eventually resulted in their daughter, Little Foal. A surprise to both of them, Little Foal was disregarded by the soldiers and was never truly prioritized by her warlord parents, who were too consumed by their campaigns to offer much in the way of nurturing.
The Conquest of Light and Dark
Nana Crie’Cai believed herself the rightful ruler of both the Spires of Light and Dark, claiming her mastery of their intersection in The Spaces Between as proof of her destiny. With her Crie’Nai at her back, she launched devastating campaigns against both realms, leaving a trail of destruction in her wake. Her armies’ fracture-forged creatures, born from the chaotic energies of The Spaces Between, were unlike anything the Spires had faced before. Nana’s victories seemed inevitable until her enemies did the unthinkable.
The forces of Light and Dark, usually bitterly opposed, formed a fragile alliance under the leadership of Master Strix, Commander White, and the legendary Skylander Council. In a climactic battle, the coalition outmaneuvered Nana and her forces, using enchanted seals forged from both Light and Dark Traptanium to imprison her and her loyalists within The Spaces Between. Loris, ever loyal, shared her fate. Little Foal, still a child, was taken in by the Skylanders to ensure her safety.
Betrayal and Rebellion
The instability of The Spaces Between eventually eroded the seals binding Nana and her forces. Freed once more, Nana and Loris began rebuilding the Crie’Nai, this time with the aim of consolidating their power before resuming their conquest. However, their efforts caught the attention of Kaos, who sought to recruit them for his own schemes. When Kaos demanded their allegiance, Nana laughed in his face, amused by his arrogance. Loris, however, saw an opportunity. She argued that aligning with Kaos could bolster their resources and hasten their return to power.
The disagreement escalated into a bitter conflict, splitting their forces into two factions. Loris and her loyalists joined Kaos, while Nana and her followers were driven from The Spaces Between. Enraged by Loris’s betrayal, Nana stomped across the Skylands, her once-mighty army reduced to a ragged band of warriors.
Spyro's Offer
Nana’s rampage eventually brought her face-to-face with the Skylanders once again. Though their initial encounters were hostile, Spyro saw an opportunity. Weary from years of war, Spyro understood the value of a powerful, if unruly, ally. He offered Nana a deal: the Skylanders would recognize her as the rightful Warden of The Spaces Between, granting her authority over its chaotic energies and ensuring no one else could exploit the realm’s instability. Additionally, Spyro promised to help Nana reclaim her forces and strike back against Loris and Kaos.
There was one condition: Nana had to take responsibility for Little Foal, who'd been raised by the Skylanders. Nana, who had never seen herself as a mother, initially balked at the idea. But the prospect of revenge, combined with the chance to reclaim her fractured legacy, ultimately swayed her. Begrudgingly, she accepted the deal.
Nana’s integration into the Skylanders has been anything but smooth. Loud, brash, and perpetually testing boundaries, she's a nightmare (pun intended) to manage. She drinks too much, fights too often, and treats rules as suggestions at best. Yet her strength and strategic mind constantly prove invaluable in every operation she's involved with. Her interactions with Little Foal are equally chaotic. Nana has no idea how to parent, but hopefully over time, she'll learn to bond with her daughter in her own rough-edged way.
-Gold
Nana was - to date - one of the most difficult designs for me to draw! I suck at drawing horses, so when someone's a half horse... Ugh! It was rough, I couldn't get the fucking legs right for so long!
*long suffering horse-themed sigh*
Anyway, time to gush! Despite the issues, I think they came out perfect! I managed to give her a more bulky build to fit her war-lord backstory. Her mane and coat were fun to mess around with, but I really like the grey and white of her body contrasted with the dark cerulean of her mane and tail.
Her armor was a fascinating blend of cool grey marker and violet pencil. With some extra gold accents thrown in. Their lance is based off of the ones used in jousting, as is the rest of their entire concept.
(Gold told me the lance looks like a dirty traffic cone, I told them to fuck off)
Oh, and the crest was fun to design, I literally just took a black colored pencil and started scratching like I was in kindergarten again, and I love it!
Nana’s status as a Demi-girl is my own personal headcanon, I’m not sure what Gold actually has written for them. But hey, they didn’t stop me!
Btw Nana has a scottish accent, nothing can change my mind on that.
Hope you like her!
With love
-Cherri

do y'all have video games on gallifrey? are there wacky 4– or 5-dimensional video games?
Do Gallifreyans have video games?
Gallifrey isn't exactly a place where you'd find kids kicking a football. In fact, playgrounds are non-existent. Time Tots are constantly forced into a very educational environment, designed to shape them into the time scholars and guardians of the universe. So no, you won't find Gallifreyans playing Spyro the Dragon.
🌀 The Gallifreyan Labyrinth Game
However, Gallifrey isn't completely devoid of video games. One legendary game stands out: the Labyrinth Game, as (possibly) the only 'video game' on Gallifrey. This is a multi-dimensional multiplayer puzzle in which you need to get your opponents hopelessly lost in a dimensionally transcendental(?) maze while subtly manipulating their movements.
Maze of the Mind: Unlike Earth’s simple mazes, this labyrinth is a shifting, evolving construct.
Subconscious Manipulation: Players employ subtle telepathic nudges to guide opponents into making specific turns.
Street Corner Spectacles: At the peak of their popularity, Labyrinth games were on every street corner and even in the Panopticon.
While Time Lords have the technology and intellect to create such games, their amusements tend to be more cerebral and less reliant on virtual realities. The idea of a Time Lord sitting down to a round of Mario Kart is as likely as a Dalek on Twitch (though, I'd subscribe to that).
🏫 So ...
Gallifreyans don't have the kind of video games humans are familiar with—they're far more regimental. The Labyrinth Game is probably the closest you'll get, as a multiplayer game.
Related:
What sports and games are there on Gallifrey?: The (lack of) physical sports on Gallifrey and other games.
What are young Gallifreyans/Time Tots taught?: Detailing what the kids of Gallifrey are taught.
Do Gallifreyan children have toys?: Describing the very limited supply of toys for kids on Gallifrey.
Hope that helped! 😃

How I would fix the Legend of Spyro Movie
I remember seeing online people reading the script for the cancelled Legend of Spyro Movie and yeah, it's bad, the the juvenile jokes, fetish fuel, and annoying characters like Spark and Pox. Here I want to think of ways to improve the script to actually make it good, so here is the plot of my draft of the Legend of Spyro Movie.
The film starts with Ignitis looking after the eggs like at the start of A New Beginning, only for Malefor's minions to break in a steal or kill the eggs in order to save the egg of the legendary purple dragon. He sets the egg on an escape raft which is picked up by dragonflies who raise the egg as one of their own. (Unlike in the script we got, there will be no baby montage) Spyro being a dragon and not a dragon fly is considered a social outcast all of the dragon fly kids except one, his brother Sparx. Sparx in this film will not be annoying, in a way, I picture him being a bit like Dave from Kipo and the age of wonder beasts where he is cocky but still has a heart for the people he cares about and is willing to stand up for Spyro. One day as Spyro and Sparx are playing, apes and elemental creatures kidnap Sparx and Spyro and Spyro, in a moment of panic breathes fire for the first time, scaring off the apes and elemental creatures. As Spyro gets back to his home, he spots a giant black dragon that flies by and attacks Spyro, Sparx and their parents. Luckily, Ignitis stops by and fights the black dragon off. Spyro has many questions so Ignitis explains to Spyro that he is a dragon, not just any dragon, but a legendary purple dragon that is capable of being able to learn all elements. Ignitis takes Spyro back to his castle to train him. After that scene, we cut to the black dragon, who we later find out is named Cynder, she returns to Malefor, revealing him to the audience for the first time. He is disappointed in Cynder for failing him. Cynder apologizes and promises that it Won't happen again. After that scene we get a training scene that also introduced the audience to the other elemental guardians who teach Spyro how to wield the other elements. One two month time skip later, we get to the next big attack, being Cynder and other Malefor troops attacking a nearby cheetah tribe. A fight between Spyro and Cynder ensue with Spyro barely winning. With Cynder down, she becomes severely wounded and loses access to her corrupted powers and is locked up by Ignitis who hopes to get rid of the influence Malefor put in her. During this time in the film where Spyro and Cynder start interacting, at first hating each other but over the course of a few months, they start to warm up to each other and even become friends. Soon Cynder escapes and goes back to Malefor as even though she grew close to Spyro, she can't let her master and father Malefor down. Soon, Hunter approaches announcing that Malefor's goons are attacking the moles, so Spyro and the elemental guardians set off to battle. During the battle, Spyro sees Cynder and is stunned by her betrayal to the point that he doesn't notice the projectiles coming towards him to then have Sparx block them, losing his life in the process. Ignitis also ends up in a scrap that severely injured him and he dies from his wounds. The battle ends up with many casualties on both sides and Spyro is distraught by losing his mentor who was like a father to him and his best friend/brother, both he and the other guardians are severely injured and are forced to retreat. Malefor upon finding out Cynder didn't kill Spyro sees that she has grown soft and drains her of all her dark powers and attempts to kill her. Cynder manages to escape severely injured and get back to the elemental guardian hideout only for no one to trust her for good reason, so they lock her up. 5 months of training later, Spyro thanks to Hunter finds out that Malefor is summoning the destroyer to destroy the world, luckily, Spyro, Hunter, and the remaining elemental guardians form an army to fight back. Cynder escapes as they leave. During the final battle, Spyro encounters Malefor at the center of the destroyer and fights him. Spyro is nearly overpowered until Cynder appears and uses her wind powers to even the odds, as Cynder is injured again, Spyro in a fit of rage, unleashed his final element, Aether. He blasts away Malefor as well as the heart of the destroyer, saving the world.
