Knowledge Is Power

Word is getting out that technology from Atlantis is continuing to trickle from the city into New York. New devices beyond the ones used in transportation. Rumors of machines used to switch bodies, disable super human abilities, or even biological weapons designed to keep our numbers in check. These stories are worrying. The best weapon we have now is our numbers. It’s time to use that in any way we can. Anyone who has information on such devices or technology should make contact with a member of the Resistance immediately. Time is of the essence if we are to combat the worse that the new rulers throw at us.

Good evening Legend! We have a little update concerning our bios. We have been working on updating them to reflect the events of the last plot drop and have decided to do a little something different with releasing them. 

We have narrowed our open characters down to the ten most important plot wise and will be releasing them soon. Once we have a majority of them taken we will then release another set.

Shields are down. The Originals are storming the area. Take cover. 

Many have fled in an attempt to find safety with the Resistance. There is no word on how many have made it. Our chain of command has been completely dismantled. Many of our leaders have been taken into Original custody. Be safe. Survive at all costs.

All forces are being called back to Lower Manhattan. The shields have fallen. Our enemies are now defenseless. The area is now on lock down. Any unauthorized persons leaving without permission from an Original must be destroyed. Proceed with caution.

Event 30a: Rally Point

With the Original’s forces filing out of the city it is safer to get some much needed work done. Many government agents have entered our territory. These people were our allies, but our peace was a tentative one. To ensure the safety of our group and the security of our borders we ask that every agent in the area make themselves know to us. 

Supplies and possible housing arrangements will be available at secure locations throughout the area. With winter looming we’d like to have a place for everyone before the end of the year. To do so, we need help from everyone in clearing old properties. We can not survive without cooperation.

For this event the Resistance will be clearing more properties in their territory for the new recruits. They also will be trying to get the name of every agent in the Upper East Side and determine if they are a threat, if they’ll be trouble, or if they are just trying to survive. The Resistance members will then share that information, so they know who to watch out for. 

This event begins immediately. It has no set end time, so feel free to plot as you’d like. Since there are two different events happening at once please clarify where your character is in the tags. Have fun!

Winter Supplies

As the weather grows colder we will be increasing supply availability for essentials to help you make it through the winter. If you do not have enough credits to afford the supplies you will be enrolled into a mandatory work shift at one of the Original’s facilities to cover the costs. 

Anyone that has been chipped will have access to these supplies. Second Generation do not need to worry about costs. If you would like to have your character get involved with a job please message the main and we will work out a plot.

First Aid/CPR/AED courses

Description of the Plot:

While Orman is not known for his sharing nature, nor for his need to teach, the good doctor is willing to give anyone a chance to survive and help others survive in this world, mostly to cut his load of work during the next crisis.  Joke aside, notifications on each chipped person’s tablet has been sent and flyers are hanging in any commercial area that there will  free First aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and AED (automated external defibrillator) courses lead by Doctor Orman in the evenings. Learning how to respond to common or traumatic first aid emergencies can save a life and make a true difference. As any soldier, one has to learn to fight but also to survive. 

Description of What You’re Looking For:

Those welcomed in those courses are second generations and humans  allied to the Originals, but also neutral or even possibly members of the resistance that are still undercover in City Spire. It is meant for any character that has not reached the special ability of healing yet and wishes to do learn something useful. This is as well for characters who already have medical knowledge or beginners, as I will follow what they teach you at the red cross, but mix it with Original knowledge and technology (the AED part for example, or certain drugs, or portable devices that can be useful for reanimation). So may it be to refresh the character’s knowledge or gain basics , anyone is welcome.  Oh, any big mouther, can be pushed to be test subject.

As for logistics.  this will probably be taking place in a chatzy room, as it is easier.  It will be classes of 4 maximum per session , simply so I can work with you all.  I will do this several times a month, and will always announce in advance when the chatzy will be held and what the subject will be. The first 4 to respond will be part of it. If there is more interest in these chatzies, I will do them more frequently to allow everyone to experience the Orman method. 

What You Want to Gain: 

This will not make your character a trained surgeon or medical prodigy , but it will allow him to gain knowledge about what to do when someone is hurt or he/she is hurt herself. It will allow you to be able to explore plots with character hurt, and even change the odds during upcoming events who knows.  For humans, this is a chance to learn with a second generation and experience advanced science.  For second gen,  it’s the opportunity to get more familiar with Original technology and scientific knowledge, but also substances and what not. Ultimately it should make your character adaptive and be complementary to his/her combat skills.

Event 31: Happy Halloween!

Hang the cobwebs and release those nightmarish ghouls, for it is Halloween! All around the city people are dressing up and celebrating this night of mischief and mystery. Who will you be when the possibilities are endless?

Event 30: Bachelorette Party

It’s time once again to take a break from the city! Those lucky enough to receive an invitation from Queen Mina have been asked to join her on a trip to Thailand. Enjoy the warm temperatures and beautiful scenery as the rest of New York prepares for winter at home.

The week long excursion will be highlighted by different events and parties. Remember that you are entering another clans territory, so when you venture beyond the Beletum and Shubure’s accommodations that you must obey their rules. Anyone showing disrespect to our host clan will immediately be shipped home.

Have fun and relax! Leave all your troubles back at New York while you celebrate all that this country has to offer and the official start of our royal family’s new life.

Event 29: The Abbey Re-Relaunch & Afterparty

Come one and all! It’s finally time to bring some entertainment back into our lives. The Abbey theater is reopening with a celebration to capture the imagination of all ages. Our host, Ivan Malkovich, will open the festivities with an original piece sure to have a little something for everyone. And the party won’t end there! After the show join your host dancing and drinking the night away at Avalon.

Plot Drop: Three Year Anniversary

The human government has fallen. Only a small pocket of resistance remains. As we begin to rebuild more sections of the city and look forward to the future, your continued compliance will be appreciated. 

Anyone living outside the designated zones will be moved to a more secure part of the city. The police force will continue to patrol lower Manhattan in an effort to maintain peace. This area is now off limits to civilians. Please see your nearest representative for information on relocation.

A reward for the criminal Evan Kantor has been issued. Information leading to his capture or proof of his death should be immediately shared with your local Original representative. Remember that this man is extremely dangerous and considered an enemy of the new order. Anyone caught assisting Evan will be severely punished. Any member of the organization calling themselves “The Resistance” will be offered impunity if they turn themselves over immediately. This offer will only stand for the next two weeks. After that time, any member of this Resistance will be declared criminals and fugitives of the new law.

All government characters have fled to the upper east side of Manhattan. The Resistance is currently attempting to recruit these people.

The government leaders were taken into custody and being held at Madison Square Garden.

A Special Thanks

Normally I don’t do these sorts of things but the anniversary has me feeling a bit nostalgic and so I really felt the need to write up a very special thank you to one of our members. I’m so grateful for all of our members, but this one will always hold a special place for me.

Misty has been with me here at Legend from the very beginning, the first round of acceptances, through admin change overs, slow times, plot drops, you name it. She is always there ready to welcome new members, to throw plot ideas our way, to jump into any plot, and to volunteer her character when we are in need of someone to help move the plot forward. 

Thank you so much Misty for not only taking a chance on us but for sticking with us through the good times and the bad. Its rare to find people as dedicated as you are! For kicks, here’s Misty’s acceptance from our first weekend open!

                                CELEBRATING THREE YEARS

The battle for supremacy has been won. The Originals reign victorious, and the entire framework the humans had established over thousands of years crumbled in a few short weeks. Atlantis has risen from the depths of the ocean, bringing the ancient Originals hidden inside for centuries to the surface. With an entire world to rule, the Originals have decided that it is time to put their differences aside and attempt to coexist with humanity. They were the dominant race, and humans would learn their new place in the changing world. All attempts to fight back were crushed, leaving most of humanity no choice but to comply. But after centuries of domination, some factions of humanity refuse to bend the knee. Fighting alongside the Original's own children and gaining powers of their own, the human government has carved out part of New York for themselves. The Originals were kept at bay by their own technology, but only for so long.
