How to Relocate to Canada From Nigeria An Overview of the Process
In February 2020 shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic, the Canadian government released data that showed that the number of Nigerians who immigrated to Canada tripled than the year before. This ranks Nigeria 2nd to India among leading countries with successful Canada Express Entry citizenship. Right now, Nigeria is the fourth-leading source country of new immigrants to Canada, behind India, China, and the Philippines. In 2019, about 12,595 Nigerians got Canadian permanent resident permits. Similarly, about 11,985 pursued their education in Canada.
Data shows that the following categories of people have the highest and easiest immigration to Canada.
a foreign skilled worker/artisan
an international student
a skilled professional or
a person sponsored by a family member who is a Canadian permanent resident or citizen.
Why is Canada Looking for Immigrants?
Canada has one of the highest immigration rates of any country. The flood of new arrivals – which stood at more than 300,000 per year before the pandemic – was slowed by health-related travel restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the resumption of immigration into the country this year has seen an increase in the number of immigrants. In June 2021 alone, Canada recorded 35000 PR immigrants into the country.
The rationale behind Canada’s encouragement of immigration is laid out on a government website (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/campaigns/immigration-matters/track-record.html), which says, “Immigrants contribute to our economy, not only by filling gaps in our labor force and paying taxes but also by spending money on goods, housing, and transportation.”
Canadian cities and rural areas depend on immigrants to keep their populations growing and to support their labour markets. Canada also has an aging population, and without a robust system of immigration, Canada’s economy will be threatened because productivity would reduce due to a large number of aged people. Fortunately, Canada embraced immigration and that has allowed them to maintain a large proportion of the population in prime working age, between 25 and 54.

Why are Nigerians Trooping to Canada?
Canada has many immigration policies which are favorable to Nigerians. Canada offers employments opportunities in sectors that are appealing to Nigerians. Nigerians in Canada enjoy a higher quality of life with better job and education opportunities and not to mention free healthcare. The cost of living in Canada is cheaper than in most other first-world countries. We have an article that extensively exhausted reasons Nigerians choose Canada above other countries for immigration (link)
Likelihood of Success to Immigrate to Canada From Nigeria
The Covid-19 pandemic last year brought a temporal halt to the immigration of Nigerians to Canada. However, the year 2019 showed an immense number of Nigerian immigrants to Canada irrespective of the reasons for relocating. Over 12,000 Nigerians immigrated legally to Canada in 2019. The number of Nigerians issued permanent resident permits has tripled since 2015.
Canada presently has no limit on the number of people who can apply for a visa, as long as an immigrant passes the requirements contained in their policies. These policies seem to be very favorable to Nigerians. The growth rate outstrips some of Canada’s biggest sources of immigrants. For instance, this includes India, China, and the Philippines.

Options For Immigrating To Canada From Nigeria?
There are many ways in which Nigerians can immigrate to Canada. However, we have stated broadly the surest and likely ways immigration to the North American country is done. Broadly, the options are:
Through Express Entry
The Express Entry is the most popular, fastest & leading immigration path for skilled Nigerian workers who want to live and work in Canada. The application process takes just six months to achieve. This is also referred to as Federal Economic Class. The Express Entry System has three main categories, i.e.
Federal Skilled Worker Program: this is for skilled workers applying for PR visa, who don’t have any prior job offer from Canada. Currently, there is a total of 347 occupations applicable under the FSWP.
Federal Skilled Trades Program
Canadian Experience Class
The goal of the Express Entry is to get an ITA for permanent residency. This works according to a points-based assessment known as the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
How Can You Get an ITA?
Express Entry applicants are scored against criteria such as their age, years of work experience, language proficiency, level of education, etc. The highest-scoring candidates are sent ITAs during bi-weekly Express Entry draw rounds.
One of the best ways to increase a CRS score is to get a job offer, which can be worth 200 or 50 points depending on the skill level. Achieving a provincial nomination that’s equal to 600 CRS points is a good way of increasing your chances of getting an ITA.
Achieve a Provincial Nomination
Early in 2021, Canada announced it is welcoming between 64,000-81,500 immigrants through the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). Canada is extremely large with 13 provinces and territories of which 11 manage their provincial immigration programs; there are about 80 programs between the participating provinces.
Tumblr media
Transition From Temporary To Permanent Residence?
Increasingly, immigrants are coming to Canada as temporary residents and transitioning to permanent residents. This is a popular route for candidates who do not immediately qualify for permanent residence when applying from Nigeria. Time spent in Canada as a temporary resident counts towards a permanent residence application. Some of the ways a person can transition from temporary to permanent residents are:
Work in Canada as a Farmworker or Caregiver
Canada has an ongoing demand for farmworkers and caregivers and welcomes foreign workers in these occupations to work in Canada through special work permit programs. If you have been working in the country in an eligible farming or caregiving position, then you can apply to immigrate to Canada through the Agri-Food Immigration Pilot and the Home Care Provider Pilot. All you need is about one to two years of work experience in Canada and a permanent job offer from your employer.
Student Permit – Qualify for a Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP)
Studying in Canada with a student visa does not directly lead to permanent residency but it’s an effective stepping stone that can greatly improve your chances of success when you graduate. Remarkably, if you study an eligible program that’s longer than eight months in Canada, you could qualify for a Post-Graduate Work Permit. The PGWP allows you to stay on and work anywhere in the country to gain work experience after your studies.
Obtaining a Canadian qualification like a certificate, diploma, or degree counts in your favor because it weighs more than foreign credentials on your immigration application. Canadian work experience plus education is the ideal formula to achieving permanent residency in Canada from Nigeria.
Work Permit
Applying for permanent residency through a work permit is the most common and can be done through Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
Visitors Visa
It’s very rare to successfully adjust your temporary status to permanent residency with a tourist/visitor visa but there are some exceptions. Usually, the only way to do this is to qualify as a refugee or have a partner that is a Canadian citizen.
Family Sponsorship
Family sponsorship is a category of immigration available to the family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents who are 18 years and above and can support the dependents financially. This means that a Nigerian can easily immigrate to Canada through his/her family members who are either citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Family members eligible to sponsor include:
Legally married Partners
Dependent child (adopted or biological)
Parents and grandparents
Brothers or sisters, nephews or nieces, granddaughters or grandsons who are orphaned, under 18 years of age, and not married or in a common-law relationship.
Business Immigration Program
One of the ways Nigerians can immigrate to Canada is through its Business Immigration program, which attracts entrepreneurs and investors. This includes:
Self Employed Program
Start-Up Visa Program: for applicants who have a business idea and need someone to fund it.
Investors Entrepreneurs
Immigrant Investor Venture Capital (IIVC) Pilot Program.
Humanitarian and Refugee Immigration
One of the ways Nigerians can relocate to Canada is to seek Asylum through the Humanitarian and Refugee Immigration scheme. Canada has an international reputation as a leader in accepting new refugees and other immigrants for humanitarian and compassionate reasons.
Those eligible for this are individuals who have fled their home country with a well-founded fear of persecution due to race, religion, social group, political opinion, gender, sexual orientation, etc. They will also undergo biometric, biographic, security, and criminality checks before they can be granted refugee status in Canada.
A significant portion of Canada’s annual immigration target is dedicated to admitting refugees.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a person Work Anywhere in Canada?
Once a person has Canadian permanent resident status, they have the authorization to live and work anywhere in Canada. If a foreign immigrant does not have Canadian permanent resident status, then they must have a Canadian work permit.
Can I Bring My Family to Canada?
Certain immigration programs allow people to immigrate to Canada with their family members, though it depends on the immigration program. For example, those immigrating through Canada’s Express Entry system are eligible to include their spouse and dependent children on the application, but not their parents.
However, Canada has family sponsorship programs enabling Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their spouses, dependent children, and parents/grandparents. To determine whether or not your family members may join you, first you must determine which immigration pathway you choose to pursue.

Immigrate To Canada With Low IELTS Score And Without Proof Of Funds. Get A Job In Canada From Your Country Of Residence Right Now. The Ultimate Guide 2021.
Tumblr media
Hi there. I am sure that by now you must have heard about the various relocation options to Canada.
You have probably heard about the two most common yet difficult relocation options most People are going through right now to legally relocate to Canada, which are:
1. The Express Entry Program.
2. The Provincial Nominee Program. (PNP)
If you don't know what the above terms mean, here is a brief explanation. They are point based immigration programs. You score points for your education, age, proficiency in English language (IELTS TEST), work experience, sibling in Canada, employment offer in Canada, etc. So there is a cut-off point set and you are required to meet it, that's how the Express Entry goes.
The Provincial Nominee Program is a bit more complicated. You apply to a province, the province selects you if you have the required criteria/points. For example, if you have family members in the province or work experience in the field they need. Once you are selected or nominated, you then apply at the federal level. Usually, the province gives you enough points to scale through the federal level cut-off.
If either of this two has not worked for you, then I have something that will make it possible for you to see yourself in Canada in six months time from now if you take action now.
Before I go on, I have some questions to ask you.
1. Would you like to know about a more straight forward relocation program you can start working with today and be in Canada within the next 6 to 9 months?
2. Have you been having difficulty with your Canada relocation process and simply stuck?
3. Would you like to learn more about an easier route that is now available as a means of getting your Canadian Permanent Resident Visa?
If your answer to all this questions is yes, then read this article to the end.
You see, a lot of people have used this program am about to share with you right now to relocate to Canada without stress.
Reasons Why You Should Relocate To Canada.
Tumblr media
1. Canada is that first world country that is inviting and welcoming immigrants with the broadest open hands at the moment. Why are they doing this? Well it is because they need people, they are underpopulated. They need people to fill in their work force and other aspects of their social-economic space.2. Canada has one of the worlds best (free) health-care and education systems.3. Canada prides itself in being one of the safest and secure countries. Very low gun deaths when compared to places like the United States.4. Canada is a country with one of the worlds highest human rights index. They are also very immigrant friendly.5. Canada's economy is sound, and her unemployment rate is very low.6. To sum it up, Canada is fun. Remember that this gate will close soon once their immigration quota is full. I see it slowly happening because the cut-off points are higher than it was a couple of years back. Again, you may have heard of the Express Entry, or the Provincial Nominee Program and have applied and it was not successful. It is because the cut-off is high, yes higher than it was before. More people are applying as the awareness is much more than before. The yearly quota is reached quickly as there are more applicants now. If you want to relocate to Canada, there is  something you must bear in mind
:Canada's immigration policies changes from time to time. What this means is this. The information you currently have and working with could be outdated. And unless you have the right information, and know precisely what the new changes are, you would most likely fail at your application.
As more people apply and try to get into Canada, the policies get tighter. The minimum requirement that got people into Canada two years ago wont get you in today. You can ask around or you could just google search the cut-off marks for the past two years and observe the steady increase. My advice, ACT NOW.
WHAT TO DO TO RELOCATE TO CANADA IN SIX MONTHS
This is where we all need help and guidance, and that is why i put this article together to help as much people I can help. And to show people what worked for me. How I and eight of my friends were able to get jobs in Canada even when we were still living in our own country. And how we were able to relocate there successfully without stress. The bottle neck associated with the Express entry program or the Provincial Nominee Immigration programs are:1. High CRS score required.2. High proof of funds required.3. High IELTS score required.4. No employment offer to boost your CRS score.5. Age factor. The older you are, the lower your point for age.6. Education. etc Many applicants find this hurdle too high. This is why this new program just released by the Canadian Government is apt for you. The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot. It was announced in Q1 2019 and opened in November 2019, and it provides a better pathway for you. Here is a brief overview of The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot. Canada is a country well known for accepting high numbers of Immigrants. However under the current Immigration system, the vast majority of immigrants choose to live in major cities like Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot seeks to change this by helping smaller communities to attract new-comers and support their settlement. The communities accepted receive support from the Federal Government to help them identify and select new candidates for permanent residency. The new comers are expected to have a positive impact on economic development. This program includes communities in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskat Chewan, Alberta, British Colombia, Nunavut, The North-West territories, and Yukon.
HOW IS THIS PROGRAM BETTER THAN THE EXPRESS ENTRY OR PNP PROGRAMS?
1. You require a low IELTS score.2. You get a job in these communities. There are many jobs available, and employers are willing to higher. This guide will show you how to get an employment offer fast. These job offers are Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) exempt.3. Age does not matter.4. You only require a two years post-secondary education. Eg O.N.D. This will be impossible via the Express entry or Pnp route.5. Settlement funds required is way lower than the other programs.6. The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot is not a point based system. All you need to do is meet the essential criteria and you are in Canada. A detailed step by step guide on how you can apply for The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot from start to finish have been put together by Immigration experts Daniel Ola and Nike Johnson, and with this detailed guide, you do not need to pay any visa agents. The information in this guide is the most detailed and informative you can find on this Brand-New pathway to Canada, which is The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot. If you want to successfully relocate to Canada, get this step by step guide first. Here is why:-It shows you the practical process to go about The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot from start to finish. And in this guide, you will learn the following:1. How to get a job offer from one of the participating communities while you are still living in the country you live in at the time of application.2. How to get a Canadian phone number while in your country.3. How to pass the IELTS exam. IELTS prep guide.4. The most important thing you need to know about sending your transcript for verification, so it does not get delayed or lost in transit.5. How to get a community recommendation.6. How to get your medical and police report.7. Step by step guidance on how to submit the entire application all by yourself from start to finish until you bag your Canadian PR status without giving a Dime to any agent. Note: I have seen people spend over $5000 on this.8. It will prepare you for life in Canada. All this value and even more for a little token of $50 or if you are in Nigeria 20,000 Naira. “Lovers of Islam, Force These Demonic Creatures Out!” Muslim Persecution of Christians, May 2019
Tumblr media
by Raymond Ibrahim
The Slaughter of Christians
Burkina Faso: A number of fatal Islamic terror attacks on Christians and their churches took place or were reported in May:
On Sunday 26 May, armed Muslims stormed a Catholic church during mass and opened fire on the gathered worshippers; four were killed and several others injured. killing four and injuring others.
On May 13, armed Muslims attacked a Catholic procession, slaughtered four Christians and "burned a statue of the Virgin Mary."
On May 12, approximately 30 armed Muslims stormed a Catholic church, slaughtered at least six worshippers—including the officiating priest—and then burned the church to the ground.
On Sunday, April 28, Islamic terrorists stormed a Protestant church and killed six worshippers, including the 80-year-old pastor and his two sons. According to a local, "The assailants asked the Christians to convert to Islam, but the pastor and the others refused." So "they called them, one after the other, behind the church building where they shot them dead."
On April 5, Islamic gunmen entered a Catholic church and murdered four Christians.
Nigeria: On Sunday, May 26, Muslim Fulani herdsmen ambushed and slaughtered as many as 30 Christians as they walked home after church service. The Muslim tribesmen also torched approximately 20 Christian households as part of their planned "Islamization" of Nigeria, said a local pastor, adding, "These targeted attacks on innocent Christians are unacceptable, particularly with confirmed arrests of over 30 Christian women [who work as] fruit and food vendors by soldiers ... after the attack." Separately, on May 18, Islamic gunmen killed a Christian and kidnapped two others at a Baptist church.
Central African Republic: An elderly Christian nun of Spanish/French origins who spent her days teaching young girls how to sew in the African nation was beheaded by a militant group representing and partially composed of Muslim Fulani herdsmen; around the same time the group massacred at least 26 people, in what one report refers to as "one of the biggest single losses of life in the Central African Republic (CAR) since a February peace deal."
Turkey: The murder of an elderly Christian man is believed to have been a hate crime. According to the report, the "86-year-old Greek man was found murdered in his home with his hands and feet tied. He was reportedly tortured":
Zafir Pinari's death on May 14 comes just five days before the commemorative anniversary of the Greek Genocide. This genocide was conducted from 1913-1922 by the Ottoman Empire and was the systematic killing of Christian Greek citizens. By the time the Ottoman Empire collapsed and modern Turkey formed in 1923, most of the Greek population were either murdered or had fled the country. A wave of killing of Greek Christians again occurred in the 1960s.
A suspect has been arrested in this case and three others are under investigation. It is not yet clear as to what motivated the murder. However, given the historical context, local press covering the incident are labeling it as a hate crime.
Pakistan: A Muslim man kidnapped and tortured his Christian employee to death after he tried to quit his job. Javid Masih, 45, worked as a livestock farmhand for Abbas Jutt. According to a source acquainted with the case "Masih wanted to quit because he was often subjected to discrimination and religious hatred." The deceased's widow confirms:
"We had been experiencing religious hatred from [Jutt] and his colleagues, however, we had no courage to register this with police. We are poor and belong to a downtrodden segment of society. Therefore, we are never heard. Jutt has damaged our lives and we have nothing to live for now."
Egypt: A Muslim employee murdered his Christian supervisor on May 7, "because of his Christian faith" notes a report. Surveillance footage from a nearby building captured the incident. While passing each other, the two men speak briefly, before the Muslim man returns with a knife and butchers the Christian, who leaves behind a wife and two boys aged 15 and 9. "The Islamic holy month of Ramadan began nearly two weeks ago," the report adds. "It is common for Christians to suffer increased violence and harassment during this time. Persecution is a constant theme of life for Egyptian Christians, as they are already viewed as second class citizens in this Islamic nation."
Syria: Islamic militants bombed a Christian village; five children and a 35-year-old woman were killed. "The kids went out to play after some days of calm" near a monastery, said a local priest, when a rocket struck near them, "instantly killing five and wounding others... the woman was killed in a nearby street by a separate rocket."
Iraq: On May 13, Islamic militants joined with the Shia group, Shabak, which is supported by Iran, broke into the home of two elderly Christian women, a mother and daughter, and stabbed them. Although the mother's age is unknown, it can be surmised considering that her daughter—who was last reported as "struggling with death" and "in critical condition"— as around 69. According to one report, "The women were repeatedly stabbed with a knife and their gold and money were stolen. The two victims were then hospitalized in Mosul. The daughter, who sustained a violent head injury, remains in critical condition." Although the women were robbed, local Christians say that plunder was not the primary motive:
"The attackers tried to deliver a message of threat.... I don't think it was a robbery because they stabbed the daughter on her head by a knife which means the criminals tried to kill them.... You know who could be the ones who may attack Christians. Everyone knows them. But no one can give you the names since they are supported by the militia."
Separately, in an address delivered in London, the Rev. Bashar Warda, Archbishop of Irbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, accused Britain's Christian leaders of indifference to the genocide of Iraq's Christians. Parts of his comments follow:
Christianity in Iraq, one of the oldest Churches, if not the oldest Church in the world, is perilously close to extinction. Those of us who remain must be ready to face martyrdom.... Our tormentors confiscated our present, while seeking to wipe out our history and destroy our future. In Iraq there is no redress for those who have lost properties, homes and businesses. Tens of thousands of Christians have nothing to show for their life's work, for generations of work, in places where their families have lived, maybe, for thousands of years.... Will you continue to condone this never-ending, organised persecution against us? When the next wave of violence begins to hit us, will anyone on your campuses hold demonstrations and carry signs that say "We are all Christians"? And yes I do say, the "next wave of violence", for this is simply the natural result of a ruling system that preaches inequality, and justifies persecution. The equation is not complicated. One group is taught that they are superior and legally entitled to treat others as inferior human beings on the sole basis of their faith and religious practices. This teaching inevitably leads to violence against any "inferiors" who refuse to change their faith. And there you have it—the history of Christians in the Middle East for the last 1,400 years.
Attacks on Churches
Nigeria: Muslim Fulani herdsmen stormed a church during evening choir practice and kidnapped 17 Christians on May 18. "As we were in the church, Fulani herdsmen numbering over 20 just surrounded the church and started shooting," a church member recalled.
"Everybody was terrified, but there was no way we could run because they had already surrounded the church. They were asking for the pastor's house, and they threatened to shoot us if we don't show them the house. Some of them went to the pastor's house while others kept watch over us."
Kenya: On May 17, a rampaging mob of Somali Muslims destroyed the properties of four churches—Kingdom Gospel for All Nations Ministry, Evangelical Victory Church International, End Time Army Church, and Kale Heywot Church—and injured several Christians. On the previous day, locals had called police on an outdoor Islamic event because it was getting too loud and rowdy. Citing "public disturbance," police responded by pulling the plug on the event. On the next day, "a group of Muslim adherents stormed our church building armed with stones, machetes, and petrol," the pastor of one of the destroyed churches said.
"They broke into the church and damaged everything; from chairs to sound equipment. They also attempted to set the church on fire, but police arrived and contained the situation.... After they destroyed the chairs and equipment of this church, they split into small groups and went around stealing from the nearby shops operated by Christians. This was outright persecution of the people that subscribe to the Christian faith."
Another pastor of an attacked church said:
"Our freedom of worship has been violated and we can only pray for a time when the Muslim community will allow Christians to worship without fear of being attacked. Our members are now scattered and ... we have received notes at our church warning us against going to church, praying and preaching."
"The influx of the Somali people who are majorly Muslims has posed a great danger to the churches," said the leader of another attacked church. "They have erected four mosques and are looking for portions to build other mosques. They have been threatening churches to leave so that they can build mosques on those plots."
Turkey: On May 21, police interrupted a baptismal ceremony while raiding and subsequently shutting down an unauthorized church composed of Iranian Christian asylum seekers. "Turkey does not have a pathway for legalization of churches," the report adds:
Many are instead forced to register as a foundation or association, and most even then will not be allowed to open a church building. For this reason, many like the church in Bolu are forced to exist in apartment buildings. It is common for Christians to report harassment and intimidation by the police who monitor their church services. For Iranian Christians, they are often challenged in that as asylum seekers, they are usually housed in extremely Islamic areas who do not want a Christian presence.
Iran: Authorities directly under the control of the Supreme Leader raided an Assyrian Presbyterian Church on May 9. They tore down the church's cross, changed the church's locks, and made it clear that worship was no longer be permitted at the church. Apparently the church's crime was that it used the Persian language alongside its own Assyrian language; because the overwhelming majority of Iran's Muslim population speaks only Persian, conducting church services in that language is seen by the Islamist regime as a seductive threat to the Muslims' faith.
Algeria: Citing a law that requires special authorization for non-Muslim places of worship, authorities shut down another church and its Bible school on May 22. "I am sad to have to face this injustice," its pastor said: "We prayed for those authorities who are persecuting us, as our Lord Jesus Christ commanded." The church had filled all other prerequisites for legalization, and had been waiting since 2017 for approval, which never came. This is the latest of several churches to be closed in recent years. According to the report, "Officials have yet to issue any license for a church building under the regulation...
Several churches have since received written orders to cease all activities, and authorities have closed a number of them for operating without a license. Islam is the state religion in Algeria, where 99 percent of the population of 40 million are Muslim."
Egypt: Authorities closed down another church in response to Muslim disapproval. "This is a very hard situation," said one local Christian. "You can see kids praying in tears because of their feelings of fear ... that is very painful for us as Christians personally. I don't trust in the government promises, but we have to continue praying for [a] reopening [of] the church." "Many years ago we were praying in our houses with the priest because there was not an [existing] church," said another local Christian.
"Now there are more than 400 Coptic persons in our village and the number of us increases day by day... During the last feast days (Orthodox Easter) many Copts prayed and the police had secured the building, but then the police asked Bishop Georgius to close the church because some Muslims in the village disagreed."
In a separate incident, an American professor teaching at Cairo's American University was fired for refusing to emphasize Islam over other religions during his Religions of the World Class. According to one report:
Professor Adam Duker has taught Comparative Religions at the university since 2016. His dismissal reportedly comes after a conflict with Saudi billionaire Tarek Taher, who maintains close ties to the university. Taher had requested that Professor Duker focus more heavily on Islam. When Professor Duker refused, his contract was terminated effective October 2019. Professor Duker says that Taher asked him to encourage non-Muslim students to convert to Islam and that Taher wanted his lectures pre-approved before teaching. [A more detailed report on this development appears here.]
Pakistan: "A pastor ... received a letter on May 1 warning him that his church would be the site of a terrorist attack unless he paid a ransom of more than $3,500.00," notes a report. "The threat has many church leaders in Karachi on edge and calling on local authorities to provide their communities with protection....The letter also warned that if Pastor Azeem went to police, there would be consequences like the recent terrorist attacks on churches in Sri Lanka."
Separately, 38 Christian graves at a Pakistani cemetery were desecrated; the unknown assailants also defaced several crosses fixed to the graves.
Attacks on Apostates and Blasphemers
Uganda: Muslims burned the home of a former Muslim convert to Christianity and his large family (when still a Muslim he had married three women who gave birth to 14 children). Most of the family was indoors and barely made it out in time before the charred roof collapsed. "We thank God that no one was physically hurt but emotionally are very hurt as we continue receiving threatening messages warning us of a possible attack," the father said. "The pressure from the extended family and radical Muslims is really troubling my family, and we cannot risk going back to our houses." Problems began once Muslims learned the family had embraced Christianity; local Muslims, on the same day they saw the family attend church, began stoning their home. Muslim villagers and the imam of the local mosque also began insulting and harassing the family, with one villager remarking , "If you do not come back to Islam, then expect something unusual to befall your family." "Since then," the father said, "my family became vigilant, and we even hired a guard to take care of the family during the night, but the stone-throwing continued in one of the houses while the guard was on patrol on the other side of the homestead." Even after being made homeless, the family continues to receive threatening messages. These include: "The burning of the house was just warning. If you continue hardening your hearts and fail to return to Islam, then expect a worst thing that you have never seen before." The father concluded,:
"We sincerely need prayers and financial support... My family is scattered, and the children are unable to go to school. We gave our lives to Jesus and here we are living a troubled, restless life. The law should bring these perpetrators to book."
Pakistan: On May 15, a Muslim mob attacked a Christian family accused of allegedly blaspheming against Islam. The incident began after a Christian man asked a Muslim who was loudly cursing on his phone near the Christian family home to move away. The Muslim responded with a derogatory, anti-Christian slur, which led to a physical altercation, until the Christian family managed to separate the two men. That night, the local mosque's megaphones started blaring out against the Christian household, accusing its members of blasphemy and adding: "All the lovers of Islam must gather together and force these demonic creatures out of this village." A family member explained what happened next:
"This was a horrifying moment for my whole family and other Christians. We felt totally helpless. In our panic we started to get ourselves ready to flee our homes and get far away from the village, however, we were all to slow. In no time we start to hear Muslims gather outside our home—even the children. The violent mob surrounded our home and all of them had weapons including guns—which were being shot in the air, sticks, axes, poles and farming tools. Even the small children had weapons [and] we feared for our lives. The mob began shouting outside our home asking for our family to exit our home and receive divine retribution for our sin. It did not seem very divine—we just saw raging evil violent people ready to kill us."
Seven Christian family homes were attacked before the mobs dispersed.
Sexual Abuse of Christians
Indonesia: A May 23 report says that " a new form of persecution is on the rise—Christian girls are being targeted by Muslim men... Influential leaders are literally training young men to target Christian girls to impregnate them":
They target them to try and sort of diffuse the spread of Christianity because the family of the Christian girl is so ashamed that...they're forced into marrying that daughter into a Muslim family.... The family, because the shame is so overwhelming, they agree to that... and the Muslims who are being trained to do this, they understand that. That's why they're doing that. They're taking a Christian into a Muslim family so they can influence [her]. Once girls are married into the Muslim families, they're often cut off from or abandoned by their families and they face even more difficult circumstances. In some cases, girls are the second or third wife of their persecutor and they have few freedoms.
Pakistan: Neha Pervaiz, a 15-year-old Christian girl, was raped, forcibly converted to Islam, and married to a 45-year-old Muslim man.
"I was taken by my aunt, a Muslim convert, to her house on April 28 to help her look after her sick son," recalls Neha. "But there I was asked to marry a Muslim man named Imran. When I refused, they beat me up and threatened to kill my minor brother who was with me." She was then forced into another room and raped by Imran. "They then pressurized me to convert to Islam and marry Imran." Over the following two days she was forced to convert, renamed Fatima, and taken to court where she was illegally married to Imran. She eventually managed to escape back to her parents.
Egypt: Muslims reportedly kidnapped a Christian wife and mother of three near Cairo. Her family has since received threatening messages saying that unless the woman embraces Islam one of her sons will targeted for slaughter. After the family took the matter to the authorities, the police refused to open a case. They suggested that the woman had left her home of her own free will.

About this Series
While not all, or even most, Muslims are involved, persecution of Christians by extremists is growing. The report posits that such persecution is not random but rather systematic, and takes place irrespective of language, ethnicity, or location.

Caption: A mob of four South African men cast underneath a shadow physically attacks a foreigner during a protest. Capturing this moment shows the intense violence that xenophobia produces and the brutality of groupthink. Why is no one stepping in to stop the beating? One woman (far left) appears to be begging the men to stop, but there are more people watching who could intervene than people participating.

Longari, M. (2019). Xenophobia: Nigeria tell South Africa say 'enough is
     enough.' Retrieved from https://www.bbc.com/pidgin/tori-49555576
I chose this image because it shows xenophobia in varying degrees. The image centers on a group of men beating up a foreigner, but what it also displays is a man in a yellow suit calmly walking by and an even larger group of people doing nothing to help. Other than the woman on the far left who is demanding that the men stop what they are doing, no one seems to be willing to go against the mob. Because of their inaction, I imagine them as being part of the mob as well.      In the U.S., we appear to be becoming more xenophobic, partly because of the increased need for assistance. The Syrian refugee crisis is the largest of its kind, so that, in combination with other global crises, has resulted in more people needing relief. Thus, dissenting voices are also increasing in number. People are afraid of what helping others will do to their own families and are less concerned with the good that they can do. Truthfully, I would argue that this seemingly ‘new wave’ of xenophobia has always existed. It is just emerging out of the waters now because of misinformation and approval of xenophobic language from government figures.      Some important ways to combat xenophobia are to speak out against it in our spheres of influence. These include our friend groups, homes, and social media. In addition, we can combat xenophobia through formal writing and signing petitions, as these steps also show marginalized groups that we stand with them.      The government’s role in addressing xenophobia is to clearly and directly address what it is, that it exists, and America’s position against it. Political rhetoric can get quite confusing and is even more so difficult to comprehend when unfamiliar legal language is used. For xenophobia, there should be no need to use such language. The government should be willing and able to address the fact that xenophobia exists and that it will not be condoned through intentional speech and initiatives so that Americans will have no uncertainty about where we stand as a country.
As a public health professional, my role is to support the above initiatives, to listen to community groups, and to share information on how we can better solve whatever core issues are exacerbating the problem. Whether these issues be from the economy due to a fear of losing jobs, or a struggle for resources or security, we can do something to address them all. For instance, we can work to figure out new opportunities for job growth and campaign for raising the minimum wage. We can devise programs to redistribute resources, helping to dispel the myth that we do not have a sufficient amount of food for everybody. We can conduct research that shows the truth behind the value of having refugees, immigrants, and other displaced persons in this country and clear statistics on the low crime rate within this population. We can remind people that unity has always been better than segregation.

Brittany Kaiser’s work with Cambridge Analytica helped elect Donald Trump. She’s hoping the world will forgive her.
By Craig Timberg and Rosalind HELDERMAN | Published August 02 at 1:13 PM ET | Washington Post | Posted August 2, 2019 7:40 PM ET |
Brittany Kaiser first emerged in last year’s Cambridge Analytica scandal as a seemingly nefarious figure, an insider steeped in the dark secrets of a new kind of voter manipulation powered by Facebook data. To make matters worse, news reports also raised questions about Kaiser’s mysterious dealings with WikiLeaks mastermind Julian Assange at a time when he remained holed up in the Ecuadoran embassy in London.
For Kaiser — at the time a 30-year-old Democrat from Texas who’d become business development director for Cambridge Analytica, a firm created to elect Republicans — the massive wave of critical news reports about the company threatened to deliver catastrophic damage to her reputation and even made her fear possible arrest.
So she did something drastic: Kaiser fled to Thailand, and she let a crew of filmmakers tag along.
What followed was a highly public — and still unfinished — quest for moral redemption that has played out across the globe and, now, in a Netflix documentary called “The Great Hack,” released July 24. It includes images of Kaiser up to her shoulders in a giant pool under an impossibly blue sky in Thailand, uncertain what to do. And it later depicts Kaiser, in a far more determined frame of mind, testifying before the British Parliament about the many unsavory deeds of her former employer and warning of the ongoing privacy threats posed by Facebook, whose dealings with Cambridge Analytica resulted in July in more than $5 billion in U.S. fines.
But two important elements are missing from the film. The first is Kaiser’s private meetings with British and U.S. prosecutors, including those from then-special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s office, which she recently detailed in interviews with The Washington Post. In these she also explained her visit with Assange in 2017 and how close she came during the hottest days of the Cambridge Analytica scandal to turning over the entirety of her hard drive to WikiLeaks for publication online.
The second missing element is a decisive moment of reckoning for Kaiser, during which she fully acknowledges her role in matters she now regards as wrong and possibly illegal. She repeatedly calls herself a “whistleblower” but viewers of the film may wonder: Why didn’t she blow the whistle a little sooner — ideally before Cambridge Analytica’s misdeeds had become front-page news worldwide?
It’s a question, Kaiser told The Post, that she still struggles with herself.
“I used to make so many excuses to myself,” she said. “I used to make excuses to my friends and family on why I was there and that it was okay to be working with these people and that what they were doing wasn't all that bad, and I was just doing my job. I look back at some of it, and it's shocking.”
Kaiser’s efforts to wrestle with this legacy in such a profoundly public way shoots a charge of emotional electricity through a film otherwise devoted to distinct heroes and villains. She occupies a middle ground of moral complexity while she seeks to emerge from what she now depicts as a fever that consumed more than three years of her life.
“She knew before the story blew up that the rights of Americans had been violated,” said David Carroll, an associate professor of media design at the New School in New York and a hero in the film for his dogged legal battle to gain access to the data Cambridge Analytica had collected on him. He is among those who would think better of Kaiser had she spoken up about her qualms with Cambridge Analytica before the scandal erupted.
“Once that’s out, it’s hard to be a whistleblower,” Carroll said. “You’ve missed your chance.”
But whistleblower or not, Kaiser’s story is a compelling one for the insights it offers into the dark heart of Cambridge Analytica, the unregulated market for our personal data and also — and perhaps most importantly — what happens when questionable decisions get thrust to the center of the world’s white-hot gaze.
A JOB OFFER IN THE U.K.
Kaiser was a graduate student in international human-rights law at Middlesex University in London when she met Alexander Nix, the now-disgraced chief executive of Cambridge Analytica. The company had been created by Republican strategist Stephen K. Bannon, who served as the company’s vice president, with money donated by conservative financier Robert Mercer. And while the parent company, called SCL Group, meddled in elections across the world, Cambridge Analytica had a more specific brief — to use the emerging science of Big Data to help Republicans win U.S. elections.
Like the company’s well-known whistleblower, Christopher Wylie, who helped British journalist Carole Cadwalladr of the Observer expose Cambridge Analytica’s misdeeds, Kaiser was no conservative. She had dabbled in Democratic politics and at one point had aspired to work for Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016.
Nix, who appears in the film and in much of the news coverage as a particularly skilled manipulator of his fellow humans, lures Kaiser to join his company with the unforgettable line: “Let me get you drunk and steal your secrets.”
Kaiser, whose parents suffered serious financial troubles that led to the loss of their home the same year she started working at Cambridge Analytica, appears to fall hard for the unmistakable scent of money and power that wafts through the conservative political world Kaiser soon inhabits. The film shows her in a series of exotic locations, dressed in pearls with a champagne glass in hand and on shooting weekends with her new associates. During this phase, she even joined the National Rifle Association, a group seemingly at odds with her traditional political views.
“The Great Hack” also details how Cambridge Analytica gathered up data on a massive scale, using an online app to collect information on tens of millions of Facebook users — everyone who used the app and all of their friends — and also from data brokers. The goal was targeting them with messages designed to work on voters’ underlying psychologies. Perhaps the most appalling moment in the film comes as SCL Group orchestrates a voter suppression campaign in the Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago that succeeds in helping a candidate of South Asian descent triumph when poorer, darker-skinned supporters mysteriously fail to cast ballots.
SCL Group reportedly also had a role in an operation in Nigeria in which an Israeli firm obtained private emails from that nation’s president, Muhammadu Buhari, when he was a candidate for office in 2015, according to Cadwalladr’s reporting that also tied Kaiser to the effort. (The article appeared in the Guardian, the sister paper of the Observer.) Those emails, like those of Democrats working to elect Clinton in 2016, mysteriously emerged online during the election season, hurting Buhari’s candidacy. Kaiser told The Post that she won the account for SCL but did not have a direct hand in the collecting or deploying of the emails.
But these events have kept Cadwalladr from regarding Kaiser’s efforts to redeem herself as entirely convincing, especially given that Kaiser decided to flee to Thailand shortly after the article about SCL’s meddling in Nigeria appeared, naming her. “I think it’s hard to know if she’s sincere or not because of the circumstances in which she chose to blow the whistle: the day after we revealed her role at center of particularly problematic election,” Cadwalladr said in an interview.
Kaiser has repeatedly portrayed her actions after leaving Cambridge Analytica as well-intentioned, driven by rising revulsion at the things she’d witnessed and a determination to speak out — classic whistleblower motives. Now that some official investigations are wrapping up, Kaiser says she’s eager to tell the full story. On Tuesday, Parliament released new documents that she had furnished on Cambridge Analytica’s role in the early days of the Brexit campaign, underscoring the importance of her cooperation.
That all of this coincides with the release of a largely sympathetic film and a Kaiser memoir, to be published by HarperCollins in October, only makes Cadwalladr warier — though she also praised Kaiser for providing evidence to authorities and said she wished others from Cambridge Analytica would follow Kaiser’s example.
“The problematic thing for me is her monetizing and exploiting this role, essentially,” Cadwalladr said. “There is this sort of hero-ization of her as a character, and that’s tricky given the many important still-unanswered questions.”
A MOMENT OF CLARITY
Kaiser said she began turning away from Cambridge Analytica and its sharply conservative, Fox News-driven world the night of Trump’s victory, which came as both a surprise and a shock to her political and moral sensibilities. For all of Cambridge Analytica’s claims about the power of its precise voter targeting, nobody knew how well it would work in the U.S. presidential election.
“I was then, like, ‘Wow, I was part of something that I shouldn't have been part of. I never thought that the campaign is actually going to win. Oh my God.’ He actually won through this, you know, racist, sexist rhetoric that has divided a country that was actually doing quite well,” Kaiser said.
Soon after, she found herself in a conflict with her bosses over her role in the company. A promotion she sought to Cambridge Analytica’s executive ranks didn’t come through. A hoped-for job in opening the company’s offices in Mexico City went to somebody else — a man — reactivating her feminist sensibilities.
“That's when the disillusionment really sunk in. And I realized these people could be doing a lot more than I know about, because they're cutting the corners that I see, and I'm not an executive of the company. So what else is going on?”
This dawning realization, however, was gradual enough that Kaiser still found herself hobnobbing around victory parties the night before Trump’s inauguration in January 2017. She dropped by one hosted by Britain’s Brexiteers and even made what she said was a brief appearance at the Deploraball, an event including members of what was then called the alt-right, who reveled in the strident, racially charged rhetoric of Trump’s campaign.
Inside the event, Kaiser said, she recoiled at a painting of George Washington wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat.
“It was so offensive,” she recalled. “I went in there. I recognized some of the people around. Once I got inside and recognized some of the people that were there … I had to leave.”
She watched the inaugural the following day, at another party, atop the W Hotel overlooking the White House with a cocktail in her hand.
A MEETING WITH JULIAN ASSANGE
The event that would make Kaiser herself newsworthy happened a few weeks later, in February 2017.
She had a long-standing admiration for Assange and, in 2011, had donated about $200 worth of bitcoin to the group in honor of its work revealing a secret trove of U.S. military files related to the Iraq War. Kaiser had cited its work in her master’s thesis on war crimes.
But what ultimately brought Kaiser and Assange together was the death of well-known human rights lawyer John R.W.D. Jones, who was hit by a London train in an apparent suicide. Kaiser considered Jones, who had represented Assange, a mentor. When a mutual friend suggested that Kaiser and Assange meet to commiserate, she agreed in concept but was unable to arrange a meeting quickly. The Jones death happened in April 2016, as Cambridge Analytica’s campaign work was accelerating. In the aftermath of Trump taking office, with Kaiser increasingly questioning her life choices, the idea of meeting Assange gained traction.
But first she had to get through Assange’s gatekeeper, a gray-haired British man whom she knew only as “James.”
He and Kaiser met over tea at Harrods, the iconic London department store. The next day Kaiser visited with one of Assange’s lawyers for a second round of vetting. The third day, Kaiser, in the morning before heading to work at Cambridge Analytica’s London offices, walked up to the Ecuadoran Embassy, suddenly aware that she almost certainly was being watched, her name entered into the files of at least one government’s intelligence agency.
She also entered with full knowledge of the allegations that Assange had worked with Russians in manipulating the U.S. election but, at the time, dismissed the claims as hyperbole.
“All of this, to me it sounded, I hate to use the term, but it just sounded like ‘fake news.’ It sounded like a way to discredit what could have been credible information,” Kaiser recalled. “And so, unfortunately, the information bubble that I was in, actually being surrounded by Republicans and being surrounded by conservative messaging all of the time, looking back on it, I realized I was a lot more affected than I would have liked to believe at the time.”
By this point, Assange had been in the embassy, avoiding arrest, for more than four years and would be there for two more before authorities rousted him this past April. Kaiser, encountering him for the first time, was immediately struck by how pale he was — somehow paler even than the white, buttoned shirt he was wearing.
Yet despite his appearance — and a rambling conversation she recalled as mainly devoted to Assange monologues on several geopolitical subjects — Assange mustered enough charisma to calm Kaiser’s rising unease about the role Cambridge Analytica had played in electing Trump. Assange assured her Trump was a better choice than Clinton would have been, referencing some of the decisions she had made as secretary of state. “The one who didn’t have blood on his hands won the election,” Assange told her, according to her recollection.
The comment succeeded in soothing her, at least for a time. “I kind of viewed that as, well, Julian knows more than I do,” Kaiser said. “So maybe I should be calm about that.”
FLIGHT TO THAILAND
But Kaiser was decidedly not calm, more than a year later, when the Cambridge Analytica stories broke in the Observer and the New York Times, triggering a global scandal. A few days later came the story, under Cadwalladr’s byline, about the SCL operation in Nigeria and Kaiser’s role in landing the contract.
James, her WikiLeaks contact, messaged that same day, through an encrypted app, wanting to talk, she said.
She was visiting San Francisco at the time and getting worried that authorities in both the United States and England might be looking to talk to her. She knew a lot about the role Cambridge Analytica had played in Trump’s election and also in the first phases of the Brexit campaign. But she wasn’t sure the official inquiries would be friendly. With the possibility of arrests in the back of her mind, Kaiser headed to the airport and off to Thailand for an unplanned vacation.
Kaiser agreed to meet with James a few weeks later when she was back in London, feeling a bit less in immediate peril.
In this second meeting, James made an intriguing offer: Why not turn over her laptop computer for publication online so that journalists, investigators and anyone else searching for the truth could simply crawl their way through the data and reach their own conclusions? Kaiser was desperate to clear her name. James said this was the best way to do it.
“He said, ‘Well, we can help you with that, but we publish indiscriminately,'” she recalled James saying. “'Nothing will be held back. Nothing will be redacted. We’ll publish the entire thing. Your whole hard drive.'”
So tempted was Kaiser by this offer that she made arrangements to take that step remotely — from wherever in the world she happened to be when she made the decision.
“I left a copy of my computer in London in a safety deposit box,” Kaiser recalled. “I had trusted people that had the password. And I knew that if I did make the decision, that someone in London would be able to pass it” to James and WikiLeaks.
And this is where the filmmakers, having trailed her all the way to Thailand and back, played a crucial role.
TELLING HER STORY
The team behind “The Great Hack” are Jehane Noujaim and Karim Amer, a married couple who already were working on a film on the dangers of modern technology when the Cambridge Analytica story broke, giving them an ideal frame for telling the story. They found Kaiser quickly upon her emergence in the coverage, and it was Amer who put her in touch with a contact he knew at the FBI.
That connection, which eventually brought her into contact with Mueller’s investigation and other ones in the United States, ultimately provided the most convincing act of redemption in Kaiser’s story.
“Her story is one that’s about power, about how power seduces and how power shapes us,” Amer said.
What he finds redemptive is the decision, however belatedly, to speak up.
“She didn’t need to do any of the things she did” in cooperating with authorities and the film. “She could have just walked away into the wilderness and never been heard from again, like so many people did at Cambridge Analytica.”
Kaiser sat for many hours of interviews with Mueller’s staff, as well as joint visits with investigators for the FBI, Securities and Exchange Commission and Federal Trade Commission. Kaiser talked about Cambridge Analytica. She talked about Facebook. She talked about WikiLeaks and meeting with Assange and the donation. She even gave investigators the number she had for James, which she presumed no longer worked.
The FTC and the SEC together levied more than $5 billion worth of fines against Facebook, and the FTC also sanctioned Cambridge Analytica’s Nix and the app developer from whom Cambridge Analytica bought the Facebook data. The British Information Commissioner’s Office, meanwhile, is in the final phases of a year-long investigation, with the help of Kaiser and others. She also turned over her laptop computer to U.S. investigators — and not to WikiLeaks — along with hundreds of thousands of emails and other documents.
Cambridge Analytica, meanwhile, dissolved in infamy.
The extent of the danger to Kaiser was underscored not long after she first established contact with the U.S. authorities. Another article came out — again by Cadwalladr — about Kaiser’s meeting with Assange.
The story was not a flattering one, and Kaiser disputes the characterizations in it, if not the basic facts. The article reported that Kaiser and Assange met “to discuss what happened during the US election” and that Kaiser claimed to have “funneled money” to WikiLeaks.
In her interviews with The Post, Kaiser said the election barely came up in her one meeting with Assange and the only thing that may have qualified as “funneling” was the bitcoin donation in 2011, before Cambridge Analytica was founded.
Cadwalladr, in speaking to The Post, said of Kaiser’s criticisms, “We sent her a formal right to reply which set down specifically and in detail what we knew and were planning to say and gave her the chance to respond and she didn’t. We therefore based the story on what we knew. We updated it later to reflect her later statements.”
All of which brings back the question of Kaiser’s reputation, which she has worked so hard to rehabilitate. What of it now?
Kaiser wants to be remembered more for what happened after Cambridge Analytica imploded — for working with investigators and, in the interest of not disrupting investigations, holding her tongue on sensitive matters until they could conclude their work. Some questions about her actions, she said, would have been clearer sooner if she had felt free to speak out. That was part of the price of working with authorities, she said, and that price was worth it to her.
“I definitely made the right decision,” Kaiser said. “A lot of the investigations are still ongoing. So I’m really hoping that we’re going to have a result where if people did commit crimes, that they are held to account. As of right now, there are multiple people that I think should be held to account that haven’t yet, and so we’ll see where that goes.”
As for what happened before, she sometimes speaks as if it were another person — or another version of herself — that fell so deeply into a world she now openly despises. The fever, she knows, held her far longer than it should have.
“It started to break down gradually,” she said. “I’m sad that it took me so long to erode this outer shell that I had developed from working there.”
If that falls short of the abject apology that some viewers of “The Great Hack” may crave, she offered this in her interviews with The Post:
“I’m incredibly sorry about letting the wool be pulled over my eyes,” Kaiser said. “I think of myself as intelligent and strong and principled. And look what happened. If it happened to me, it could happen to anyone.”

#OnlyOnOneNETnews: Betting and Earning Apps in the Philippines becomes a reality to make money online with the integration of GCash
DUMAGUETE, NEGROS ORIENTAL -- When you feel unemployed, needing for an extra income, or even a job with less experience during the post-Pandemic of Coronavirus Disease-19 (CoViD-19)... Our selected news employees at OneNETnews have discovered some of the best betting and earning apps per integration with your mobile payment partner in our country.
GCash is the first cashless system in the Philippines by Globe Telecom in October 2004 offering SMS-based domestic money transfer nationwide that does not require bank accounts or credit cards considering 115.6M people in our country's population were unbanked or underbanked this year in 2022. This was now a parent company called Mynt (Globe Fintech Innovations Inc.) and tops to #1 mobile financial app according to App Annie where you can virtually send money, pay the utility bills, topping up the telco loads in any networks and other benefits.
Betting apps for the unregulated virtual casinos in every mobile application such as Diamond Game, Aurora Game, Phoenix Game, Thor Game and Kabibe Game which all of these have not part of the gambling regulators of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
While SunPower and APower combined, these are all real and trusted legitimate paying apps in this generation today. It was founded in 1985 where the headquarters of SunPower located in San Jose, California, United States of America (U.S.A.), with a regional office in Nigeria and right here in our country's branch in mid-March 2004 -- offering virtual Solar Products for a clean and more efficient energy into cash.
APower is also located in Silicon Valley, the same city of San Jose in 2019 offers shared power bank services in the West Coast of America. It's like a charging rental station for your emergencies to your smartphone in case the Negros Oriental Electric Cooperative 2 (NORECO II) are having a scheduled or unexpected local brownouts for the Negrosanons. Today in our same country, the company has expanded here in the Philippines in May 2022.
Both of the earning apps are fully regulated by the Philippine government officials and GCash is supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as according to the Telegram chats and a report from the Manila Bulletin.
The advantage with a purpose of both worlds are in endless possibilities. You get the most benefits to cash out with the responsible gaming first and the right to invest. Not only with your money that suits you the best, you can make an online purchase legally such as GCash, PayPal, Netflix, Physical Cash in real life and even pay most of the Utility Bills, Government Payments & Philippine Banks. Everything is safe and secured when needed to.
Disadvantages of gambling and invest the same both worlds are at risk for scammers, losing money without anything knowledge or in isolation for nothing. Some people were wasting more time and less effort which are hard to understand without a background check first.
It is a very good idea to research anything first in every tutorial and a lot of data mining before you sign up to make money online with your verified GCash account.
Earning money via a mobile application isn't really easy, which is the same thing to buy a lottery ticket when you beat the odds right. It takes a lot of patience until you succeed it the right way.
SHORT SIDE NOTE: We are not fully sponsored for SunPower and APower as of this writing. Think about as a strategy guide from our news team of OneNETnews where you can help you decide to either earn and invest yourself a big personal income or lose it all to gamble. It's up to you to change your life to make money the most professional way possible.

I would have won the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria - Gernot Rohr
Nigeria sacked Gernot Rohr as coach this week after a record-breaking five years, four months, and ten days in command of the Super Eagles.
In this extended interview after being fired by the Nigeria Football Federation, the Franco-German opens up to ESPN about his time with the team and his firing, and claims that if he had been allowed to stay in charge, he would have won the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, having finished third in Egypt in 2019.
ESPN: What do you make of the timing of your being fired?
Gernot Rohr: It was not necessary to do this so close to AFCON. After what the team did, and after what the team had achieved with [reaching] the targets... but it happened, and we are realistic people. We handled the situation but it was not necessary. All the fake news, all the comments of an uncertain situation, for the past month; this is not professional at all.
The word is that the NFF has to pay you out. What is the situation with your contract?
My contract is running until the end of next year, and the contract has been broken. And now I'm waiting not only for the [unpaid] salaries but also for the salaries until the end of the contract. This should now be handled by my lawyer. He will do everything for me. I'm outside now of these questions. The legal situation must be cleared.
What has been the most difficult part of this for you?
To say goodbye to the players. Most of them called me already; we were family and we had to leave each other. And it's not so easy.
The other problem -- the money problems -- I was always very cool about it. I have the record for longest time as the coach in Nigeria, but perhaps also I have the record for the coach with [most] non-paid salaries.
But I'm proud to do the job all the time with professionalism and this efficiency, and with a good relationship with everybody in my team. When I say my team, this is the players, it's the staff, the technical staff, the backroom staff; we were a big family and even when outside there were problems we were strong together and we could even have reacted on some difficult situations but we choose to be quiet to do the job as a family.
You have just said that you met all your targets and that is fact. What was the reason they told you why they let you go?
They're searching for some reasons, of course. I hear everywhere that the performances were not good enough, but we have the statistics. Especially in the last games, because they took the last two games to say we are not in good shape and we are not playing well.
But the statistics are here: We had much more chances to score than the opponents, we had much more possession of the ball, we had much more shooting on the goal. So, it's really difficult to understand and to accept that. The facts are that we reached all the targets despite all the problems we had. It was not easy for everybody.
We did what we had to do... everybody knows the results, everybody knows that we are close to the AFCON, and I think this team should win it because this team is built to win matches, important matches, decisive matches.
And also, what was the big problem for me is that I qualified the team for the playoffs of the World Cup, and I could not accept that they could possibly come after and tell me to leave after AFCON so that they will go to the World Cup with another coach.
After the match against Cape Verde, I got this information that they want me to go and I was waiting for the written confirmation. The [NFF] president only gave me the verbal confirmation the next day. And I had to write to [the players and team staff] myself to know what's happening.
It's not really a professional situation and this uncertain period was not good for anybody. The players didn't know what was happening. I continued my work of monitoring the players. But when I wanted to go to Nigeria to watch the [CAF] Confederation Cup games or African Champions League, they told me to monitor the players in Europe. That's what I did. Still, we stayed ready. We put our list together of 37 players before [Nov. 16]. The job has been done until the letter last Friday [Dec. 10].
Did they ask you to go to the Africa Cup of Nations then leave for someone else to come in?
The target in the AFCON was for me to reach the final. So if I don't get to the final in the AFCON, they could have a reason to sack me.
I'm sure that I would have got to the final but of course it's not 100% sure. I believe we could have had a good AFCON and also prepare for the World Cup through these six or seven weeks where we are working together, and the team can come closer and have more complicity, more harmony, and better football.
And this would be very good preparation because the most important thing is to go to the World Cup.
I'm sure that the team is able to do it because the team is getting better and better. We have one of the youngest teams in African football, and that is what I told [the NFF].
I was also sure that Victor Osimhen would try to come back with us even if his injury was a big one. We saw Osimhen already playing very well against Cape Verde beside Odion Ighalo. With two goal scorers like this -- one young one, one a little bit experienced -- the young one will become better and better if they stay together.
I'm sure that this association can bring good results. One can score goals and on the side with the quick players, quick wingers, we could give them very good balls. Our strategy was clear but I think that a lot of people did not recognise it.
Do you think you could have won the AFCON given you are sure this Nigeria team would have reached the final?
Of course! Last time we made third. We had a good AFCON, we lost in the semifinal in the last second. This time, I'm sure it would have been better because the team has been growing together for five years and we had our different strategies, and the tactics were becoming more and more efficient. And I think even without me, they will do it, they can do it, because this team is young, is intelligent, and they can fight. They love their fatherland and they will be able to do very well at the next AFCON.
How have your players taken this news?
I spoke with some players and some of them told me they don't want to continue. But I said to them: "You have to continue. Now you have Nigerian coaches and you have to do well for your fatherland." So, I think that [interim coach] Austin Eguavoen has only to continue in the same spirit to be successful and the AFCON title will be in Nigeria.
Some of the criticism against you is that you stick to certain players too much, and do not invite in-form players such as Emmanuel Dennis or Taiwo Awoniyi; and when you do, you don't give them enough minutes to play so there is no competition in the team.
We have tried so many players. Awoniyi has been invited; he played 45 minutes against the Central African Republic. He was unlucky, but he would have been invited again. Dennis has been invited also. He came in twice against Sierra Leone. And all the other ones have been invited or would have been invited. We have so many strikers that you cannot invite six centre-forwards.
I know that all Nigerians are passionate about football, and everybody has his own favourite for this. And I understand that everybody wants to see their favourite players. What is true is that perhaps I didn't follow the suggestions or the advice of the officials to invite certain players. That is possible because I wanted to do the choice with my technical staff and not with people from outside the team.
You are saying officials wanted you to invite certain players?
Yes.
I got a lot of suggestions but I always wait. I understand that the officials want to do well -- everybody wants to bring in his advice, his opinion -- but in the end it was too much and it was difficult to work in these conditions.
Did anyone ever offer you money to invite a player?
No, never.
They know me in Africa and in Europe for a long time that I'm part of these people who can never be corrupted. My reputation is there. To take one player to help him in some clubs is something we did, but only in the interest of Nigerian football, only to help the players, and never for money.
If I was in Nigeria for money, I could have left a long time ago. Instead, I proposed a 20% cut in my salary because of the pandemic. But even then, the salary is not always coming -- and still not coming.
I'm surprised to see how Nigeria treats their coach. It's not only for me, it's also for other coaches. We're not paid and we're sacked.
You saw the NFF president's interview saying that he had to act before disaster happened, and that you had lost the dressing room. How true is that?
This is ridiculous. Everybody knows it. The dressing room was always with me. All the players are writing to me and thanking me for my professionalism, for my independent work, for my presence.
The dressing room was 100% behind me. And I hope it will also be 100% behind the new coach.
I think they already had this prepared. They brought the new coach [Eguavoen] one year ago, so he could have a look. He would ask for the technical reports because he was Technical Director and Paul [Aigbogun], his assistant, was doing for me the work of scouting the opponents.
But I wish them all the best because I want my players to succeed, to win the AFCON. I want Nigeria to go to the World Cup, and I'm sure that they will.
Do you have any regrets from your time in Nigeria?
No regrets.
We did all we had to do in the interest of Nigeria, and we are proud about that. We found young goalkeepers who will be here for perhaps 10 years. We found young wingers, we found new defenders. We helped our captain [Ahmed Musa] get the record of more than 103 games for his country. We produced the top goal scorers in the last AFCON and the qualifiers also.
So, five wonderful years and four months, and I thank [NFF president] Amaju Pinnick, who gave me the chance to work in this country. I will forget the end. What happened this last one year was not easy, but now I hope that everybody will be correct and can live like friends.
You set the record of being Nigeria's longest-serving coach. What would you like to be remembered for as your legacy?
Opinions are not all the same but everybody will see the facts. The facts are that we came from No. 67 in the world to No. 36. From No. 13 in Africa to No. five. And we will be in the top five [in Africa] for the World Cup draw, which is very important for the playoffs.
We had a wonderful professional relationship, and the human relationships also will be forever.
What was the most difficult challenge you had to face as Nigeria coach?
The most difficult challenge was when we had to go to Lagos to play under certain conditions. When we had to keep the players quiet and professional when they didn't get their bonuses paid.
And what would you say was the highlight of your time?
The best thing was always the qualification for everything. What we achieved in difficult groups with Cameroon, Algeria, Zambia for the World Cup, and then finishing first for the AFCON qualifiers. We never lost a competitive game for the qualifiers away. Never. We only lost two at home in Nigeria.
There are different reasons for that. Because at home, there are sometimes distractions that make it more difficult. They have family waiting for them, they have friends waiting for them, it's not easy for them to concentrate. And it's only Uyo where we can play well. That was the best one all the time, but we couldn't go there any more for different reasons.
I wish that Nigeria can get good infrastructure. They need to develop football. And they need solidarity between the sports minister and the federation. That was unfortunately not the case in these five years.
There was a report of a party by some of your players before the Cape Verde game. What really happened there?
Nobody had a party. Can you imagine having a party before the game? Maybe they were on PlayStation a little bit later than 11 p.m. together in another room with another player. But I can tell you that these players are 100% professional and they're doing very well, and nobody did what this crazy social media sometimes can say and it is shameful to see something like that.
If Nigeria asked you to come back at some point in the future, would you accept the offer?
I learned to love Nigeria, because it's a country of passion, a country of good people. Like everywhere, there are good people, and me, I remember only the good people. And that's why, why not?
If you have a message for the Nigerian people, what would that be?
The message would be to be optimistic now for the future of their football. The team is a young team and will only get better. There is no problem, no division inside the team, and the future will be bright. I want to thank all the people who supported me, who supported the team. I can understand the critics. Everybody wants to have the best for Nigeria; they want to have beautiful football and good results.
Sometimes it's not easy to do these two things; to have the results and also to make a big spectacle and to play a beautiful game. The thing that is very important, the first one now must be the result and that is what we tried all the time to do. But all the time also with good offensive spirit and good scores.
I'm not angry. I'm happy to learn about this country, and I will come back to see my friends, of course, and I hope all the best to the players and the new staff for this coming AFCON and to win it.
Finally, what now for Gernot Rohr?
I will take a good rest until the end of the year, and then perhaps I will come to watch the AFCON -- some games to be a pundit, like I was already sometimes.
I already got some calls, but I'm not ready for the moment to take another team. I will be the No. 1 supporter of my players in the next AFCON.

S.O. Discusses Heritage & Inspiration For Larry Ginni Crescent Album
Tumblr media
S.O. took advantage of the pandemic like most artists and used the tim to get closer to his muse. In this instance that well of inspiration came from his young daughter who he wanted to make sure would be aware of her cultural roots as a child with parents from Ghana and Nigeria but now living in Texas after spending time in the UK. S.O.'s previous Augustine's Legacy from 2019 was harder and more stateside in its sound which contrasts the genial and worldly approach to the just released Larry Ginni Crescent album. The choice to delve into Afrobeats was a practical one because of the genre's mismatch of Black pop from around the globe. S.O. wanted to connect all of his family experiences in song as a musical playbook for his daughter's heritage. The album is like a sonic equivalent of honey and iron with its ambrosial melodies and words of gratitude and determination. In the following interview the rapper explains the how he planned the new music and the importance of knowing one's history.
"The first thing somebody thinks about Africa, one of the first things is the child who's hungry with the fly in their eye where I could take you to Lagos and this looks just like New York."
So I see that Larry Ginni Crescent is the name of the street you lived on during your childhood in Lagos, Nigeria. What are some of the things that you remember most about that time?
That's a very good question. Things that I remember is just the community aspect of it. So you know Larry Ginni  when we got there we were like one of the few houses that were there. So as families started moving in and everybody kind of knew one another it's kind of picturesque.
If you think about the movie when they go to a neighbor and hey can I borrow some milk? And I brought some sugar or hey, I'm going out of town for a little bit can you make sure that the house has been you know  like looked after. There's no strangers.  I think that like a community aspect was like one of the main things.
I remember one time my neighbor's dog gave birth in our house and so we had the puppies at our house. I have fun memories. Dad, my mom, my sisters, you know, like all of this stuff you can think of, like growing up in Nigeria in Lagos in the early '90s at that time that's the stuff that I was experiencing.
Who  was Larry Ginni Crescent?
I have no idea who he is. My assumption is that Larry Ginni is the first person to build a house in that area. I actually don't know. I'm going to ask my mom who is this guy? Crescent is the road that my house was on.
So the main thing that I'm hearing is the sense of community. How does this music reflect that feeling ?
I think that the music the intention of it is to get those who are in the diaspora. So like someone like me who was born in Nigeria raised in Nigeria and then moved to London and is now living in Texas like I'm part of the diaspora. So always, always having a sense of wanting to go back home wanting to connect to where I'm from you know what shaped me.
A lot of my friends are Nigerian. A lot of them are Ghanian and so we know what village we're from we know our village name so on and so forth but there's also like on the other end for my African-American brothers and sisters who like you know since being in America.
As I was creating the music I was thinkin how can I create songs? Sonically, maybe not topic-wise, but sonically that will at least encourage some of my brothers and sisters in the states to be like hey man let me go find out more about this Afrobeats sound or more about this language that you'll speak.
What is Yoruba? but what's Larry Ginni Crescent? Where is that? Can we go there? Like, you know what I mean? Like stuff like that. And so there was still that sense of community but it's more on a global scale trying to make people hearken back to where they're from so that they can appreciate it more because I was around when being African wasn't cool. I still remember that or the teacher will pronounce your name incorrectly and the kids would be laughing.
Why was it so important for you to get back to your African roots? And also, why did you make the choice to use the Afrobeats sound this time? listened to Augustine’s Legacy and it’s very different.
It's multi-layered man so I think another thing that happened is I had a child and I said I never want her to not know where she's from. So what can I do to ensure sh stays grounded and rooted in where she's from and the culture that raised her mom, raised her dad and will ultimately raise her as well. I had a kid and saw that I can't speak Yoruba all that well I need to go learn it so that I can teach my daughter or you know we,we do great with the food, the culture, the dress, all that stuff. But that language you know what I'm saying, the language is necessary, you know? And so like one of the ways I've tried to do that is like if I'm singing it on certain songs she can sing along with me. She can understand hey this sound  this is from your dad's land. This  picture that you see on the front cover of Larry Ginni Crescent this is your dad's and your sister and your auntie in their house in Lagos like we can I can literally take you to this place.
Like my, most of my friends are either immigrants or first generation so there's still that connection. People go home every year every other year twice a year. There's still that sense of  hey we know where we're from how can we continue to pass this on to the next generation so that it doesn't get lost as they remain in the Western world?
Was your daughter born in Texas?
Yeah. She was born in America. She was born in Texas.
How long were you in the UK before you moved to the United States?
I just moved to America five years ago. As I started to do music a lot of my audience I start to realize was stateside and so between like 2011 and 2015 I was coming to America like every year, twice a year, so on and so forth. One day I was coming back into the states and you know  if you have a bridge four hours across what you're allowed to come into the US on a visa waiver so you don't need a visa. I was perfectly legally coming in but then they detained me. They detained me and said hey don't come back until you have a proper work visa. And so when I acquired that work visa then and I just moved cause I know this is a place where the music is being consumed majority wise. And so this is a place that I need to kind of be to build and continue doing what I'm doing.
Tumblr media
When did coming from Africa over here become cool, but first of all, what is the difference in how you were received over in the UK versus in the US?
I think because the majority Africans in the UK can trace exactly where they're from my one family member or two at the most that's different, right? Because the language is still being spoken to you. The cultural intricacies are still being that the food, the dress on us, like it's even down to the musicians right now in the UK. Most of the Black musicians are either African or Jamaican and they know exactly where they're from. They’re speaking the language and the music they’re intertwining it with the sound. So it's like in the UK  to be African at least in this new era isn't anything to shy away from.
Me and my mum had the conversation all the time. I'm like yo like you know why did you move me and my sisters from Nigeria to the UK. Like, why didn't we just stay there?  Why didn't we just remain as a family there and then come here and then go there. The reality of it is like there was this idea that the west America, UK and Europe was better both economically, financially, educational wise. And to a certain extent that is true. There is a level of truth in that but imagine what would have happened if we just remained where we were at and developed our countries.
So going back to the original question, it's like yeah. Knowing where you're from having that sense of connection with where you're from is a lot little easier to be connected in the UK as opposed to being in the US where, you know, like for the majority of the black experience the connection has been lost, right? But what I've tried to do since being here it's like how can I extend like some of my experience or my knowledge to people? One of the things I think is the easiest way to get people engaged is food.
What is the dish that always gets them?
Jollof Rice because they used to that I feel if you've eaten like Mexican food, they’re distant cousins is enough for that. Um, but then if you want to like go deep, deep, like pounded jam and spinach stew you could see like, sometimes we'll make some of that for people but yeah like food and music.
Are there other ways for African-Americans to connect to Africa?
It's difficult to acquire from someone sometimes. They didn't grow up in. So probably if I go to my African American family, like, Hey man, you should really go back and give back to where you come from. Like, bro, I don't come from that. And I can't fault them for that because they don't like, you know what I'm saying? Like, I can't be like, Hey man, you should really go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's everywhere. Just get on a plane. Let's just go to Ghana, Nigeria, like yo, because of everything they've seen on TV, because even though Black Panther is there, you still have the years of false information about the continent. That the content undeveloped the people live in bushes there you fight lions.
I can’t fault someone because of how media has portrayed Africa.  Media has done a terrible job overall.
In more recent years they've been doing better, but overall they've done a terrible job at conveying Africa. The first thing somebody thinks about Africa one of the first things is the child who's hungry with the fly in their eye where I could take you to Lagos and this looks just like New York.
We already have shared experiences. We just call them different things. I'm going to the cookout in South Africa. That's a brie that's the same thing. Like, yo, I'm going to this it's the same. We have the same experiences. We just call them different things. And so he would go there and realize Hey, these people aren’t as different from me as I thought they would be it becomes a lot easier to be connected.
Did you see the parallel with rap music?
Yeah. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that the rap music and Afrobeat. Like think there's music coming from struggle. Like music, like hip hop was just what, 40 something years old. I think it just turned 40 something. Yeah. 48 years. Music birthed from struggle to speak against what is going on that's what is being created that is what's being made. If we look at what Fela Kuti was doing with Afrobeat he wasn't just making you know songs about girls. And he was specifically speaking against the political powers that be and so like things like that. There was so much connectivity like so much parallel that you know if we just kind of like stop pitting one another against each other like oh, you're this, you're that? And I've been guilty of doing that too. We can learn from one another.
So were you saying earlier that now in 2021, it's easier to be African in America? Now what's going on that, like, when did you see it?
Wakanda Forever.
Black Panther. Did it?
Yeah. Black Panther.  That was the straw that broke the camel's back in a good way. That was the one that made people go, yo. Okay, cool. What's this mean even though it's fiction. Even though it's not real people still felt like a level of connection. From that to the year of return in Ghana that was like a big thing. If you remember like in that Black Panther era people were wearing the dashikis to the suits to the movies.
And then I would also say like the influx of Afrobeats, um, like, especially in this go around, you've had like a first go around, but because of how the internet is now, it's a lot easier. Um, so easy to be like, Hey man, I want to listen to a Burna Boy song or who is Burna Boy. And how streaming has kind of helped level the playing field.
Artists can collaborate with other artists. I just saw Wizkid has a song with Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber is the biggest artist in the word. Afrobeats has also helped them play the part in that. And I'll say the internet has definitely made the world smaller so people can go and find out about other cultures without having to go and visit there.
What's the most personal song for you on this new project?
My most personal song I think is “Good to Me”  is probabl the most personal song.  This album is dedicated to my grandmother who passed away last year due to COVID. So like kind of looking at stuff like that seeing what's happening in the world you can easily lose faith. You could easily lose faith and be like, God, are you real? God, are you there? You know, so on and so forth. But once you kind of look at things from a different perspective, you start to realize even though my grandmother passed away.  She was sick and my granddad passed like maybe two or three weeks after that. But they had been married for over 60 years. Great.  They've had a wonderful life. Things of that nature where you could you could look at the negative but always having to look at the positive and say hey  God you are good to me regardless of what's going on around the world.  Because what would have been worse really is for her to pass away and then for him to still be alive now because he had dementia his health was depleting and so it was actually better for him to go than to remain on earth.
I look at things like that and I'm like good to me. That's my favorite song on the album. It just kind of like hones in that message in like just looking at my life and just thinking about where I came from and where I'm at now. Like there's no way I can’t say that God hasn’t been good to me.
I really liked “Prosper.”
“Prosper” is one of those songs where I probably be performing that for a long time., I think maybe like a week after I heard about my grandmother, I wasn't able to like, create anything, you know, like I just was like, man, what is going on in life? Like what is in the next verse just, you know, just kind of stuck with me. Like no weapon formed against you will prosper and thought this sounds like an anthem for people going through COVID going through, you know, life in general, like things that, that you don't even know will hit you. Like, Hey man, we could be singing this and this could be our jam together. Like as well as with dancing, like pray, no weapon formed against you will prosper.
We've been down so long. That was time to prosper. You know what I mean? Like, and, you know, as I was writing that, it just came to me. So yeah, that's it, that's the chorus right there.
You know, a great survival anthem.
You know, there you go.
Is  that actually your wife and the video for “Kinda Love?”
That is her. She is no video vixen but she's beautiful. You know usually she's really like heavy hands on with like some of the design and things like that. So I had to get her involved. Love & Basketball references as well. You've got the basketball scene. If you see the Love & Basketball DVD cover they put the basketball up and they're both kissing. We recreated that scene. So we wanted to like show like iconic Black love.
youtube
It just really feels like great music for the summer. Do you feel you conveyed what you were trying to do by bringing the Afrobeat ssound and having more of a sense of the diaspora. Do you feel like the music really expressed that?
Yeah, absolutely. Man. I think that the other I think it expresses, I think that the response has been that too. Yeah, I think that anything with melody always work, you know because it crosses generations. We went over to Maryland and I was playing, playing some of the songs like one of my aunts she was like I really like this. And I play one of the songs for one of my cousins who's like in his twenties and he’s  ike yo, I'm really digging this. So generation to generation singing and melody always works always hits and you know no one can be like Hey what are you saying? because cause if the melody's catchy enough they’re going to remember it.
I think people are going to be playing this project be it if you're of the diaspora, even if you're not from the diaspora, like you're going to just enjoy good music with universal themes about love, faith, prospering and surviving.
And so, you know, I’ve got to ask you about your producers.
TBabz is a young producer from Nigeria. I think he produced three of the songs. Um, obviously he's produced Travis Greene and Da’ Truth but you know, I think with this project I was working with like one of my main producers name is GP he’s Grammy nominated.
He's produced the majority of my stuff from 2011. But with this one I was looking for like younger guys that can you know feel in tune with the sound that's going on in Nigeria and around the continent. That can pull me in and like school me on some stuff and help me like I think about the last song “Wonder.”
And that's very pianoesque and I've never made like piano before but TBabz was like yo check this song out watch how they're doing it. Like send me the vocals. I'll chop up your stuff. He was really instrumental and stuff like that. He's like super, super talented man.
I'm super excited for his future. Steve Rod who made your favorite song “Prosper” again I heard that song I was like yo, I need this beat. Like I need it don’t sell it. I just thought dope. Don't do anything. Just send it to me right now. I'm going to see GP that's my friend brother for life.
He produced three of the songs as well. It was just good to have that. Having the project mixed by one of the members from Team Salute who produced like probably one of the biggest Afrobeat songs, Adrugbar. He was supercritical, super pivotal in helping me, um, Like singing and the melodies and even like how I would do certain things like, Hey man, that's too wordy.
And you know, like I'm never the guy to be like, nice one to do it myself. I don't want, I don't want to create, I think it's just always good to create a community, even if it's a small community that you're able to like share stuff with share ideas and be like, yo, what you think? How can it be improved?
Are there any plans for any more visuals?
Yes. We have a visual for “Want You” that's dropping September 10th. I'm toying with either shooting a video for “Prosper” of “Corner (O Ti De)” but for sure September 10th for the “Want You” video. We have a few remixes we’re dropping to continue the momentum.

Effects of gender discrimination on mental and physical health
New Post has been published on https://tattlepress.com/health/effects-of-gender-discrimination-on-mental-and-physical-health/
Effects of gender discrimination on mental and physical health
Tumblr media
Gender discrimination has a significant impact on mental and physical health worldwide. It can limit peoples’ access to healthcare, increase rates of ill health, and lower life expectancy.
While it is true that women live longer than men on average, they experience higher rates of ill health during their lifetimes. It is likely that gender discrimination and inequity contribute to this.
In this article, we look at what gender discrimination is and include specific examples. We then explore the effects of this discrimination on mental health, physical health, and healthcare.
Gender discrimination is any action that excludes or disadvantages people based on their gender. It includes actions that are deliberately unfair and actions that are unintentionally unfair.
Gender discrimination is fueled by sexism, which is prejudice based on sex or gender. In most countries, sexism devalues women and femininity and privileges men and masculinity.
Because gender relates to how someone feels, rather than their biological characteristics, anyone who identifies with a gender that their society deems less valuable can experience gender discrimination. This includes trans and other gender-expansive people.
Learn more about different types of sexism.
Gender discrimination can take place in person-to-person interactions, as well as at an institutional or state level. It can occur:
In the workplace: Deciding not to hire or promote someone, treating employees differently, or paying them less based on their gender are all examples of workplace discrimination. Peers can participate by excluding women colleagues from important meetings, for example.
In schools: Preventing or discouraging girls and young women from participating in traditionally male-dominated fields, such as science, math, and sports, is an example of gender discrimination. Schools may also enforce gendered dress codes, punish those who do not conform to gender norms, or fail to punish bad behavior on the basis that “Boys will be boys.”
In relationships: People who prevent their partners from doing things on the basis of their gender are also acting in a discriminatory way. This might include stopping women from working, managing their money, and driving, for example.
In public: Sexual harassment and catcalling are unwanted, and they are forms of discrimination. These behaviors can make people feel unsafe, and they can restrict how people use public spaces. This limits a person’s freedom.
In institutions: Organizations, governments, and legal and healthcare systems can enact policies that discriminate against certain genders, either intentionally or unintentionally. Examples include laws that allow gender-based violence to thrive, that punish people for expressing their gender, or that disadvantage certain groups financially.
It is important to understand that discrimination based on gender can be coupled with discrimination based on race, class, disability, and sexuality.
Read more about the effects of racism on health.
Gender discrimination is a source of stress, and like any other stressor, it can directly affect mental health.
Research from 2020 refers to a study in which women who reported experiencing gender discrimination in the past 12 months scored more highly than others on a depression screening tool.
Depending on the situation, facing discrimination can also result in anxiety and psychological trauma.
The authors of the research paper argue that discrimination plays a key role in the “gender gap” in rates of mental illness. Women experience higher rates of most mental health conditions, including:
Women are also 1.5 times more likely to attempt suicide than men, although men are more likely to die by suicide.
For people assigned female at birth, biological factors may play a role in these differences. However, studies have found fewer gender differences in the rates of mental illness in societies with more equality among men and women. This suggests that inequity and discrimination play a major role in these disparities.
As the World Health Organization (WHO) notes, gender inequality is also a risk factor for gender-based violence.
Thirty percent of women worldwide have experienced physical or sexual violence at some point in their lives. The rate is higher, 47%, among trans people, and even higher among trans people of color and those who have done sex work, experienced homelessness, or have a current or past disability.
Experiencing any type of abuse or assault can lead to a mental health condition, as well as further complications that are traumatic in themselves. For example, if a person survives sexual assault, they may become pregnant, contract a sexually transmitted infection, or become excluded from their community.
Gender discrimination has direct and indirect effects on physical health. These include:
Illness
Some research suggests that experiencing discrimination is correlated with worse physical health.
For example, a 2018 study found that women who experience discrimination at work are more likely to report ill physical health, and particularly women who have experienced sexual harassment.
Stress from any source can also contribute to many chronic conditions, including chronic pain, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
Less healthy living conditions
Gender discrimination can also lead to a person having worse living conditions and less access to the things that they need to survive and thrive.
For example, in the United States, the gender pay gap means that women earn less than men overall — even when performing the same jobs. The pay gap is wider for women of color.
Women also have higher levels of student debt, lower savings in retirement, and higher rates of poverty, in comparison to men.
Not only does this cause more stress, it also reduces a person’s ability to afford fresh food, safe housing, and health insurance. This results in health inequity — avoidable and unfair differences in the health of marginalized groups, compared with privileged ones.
Learn more about health inequity.
Injury and death
Discrimination in the form of violence also directly impacts health. Female genital mutilation (FGM) is just one example of this.
FGM is unnecessary surgery to remove part or all of the genitalia of young females, who are typically younger than 15. Communities that practice FGM may believe that it will make girls more pure and suitable for marriage, and less likely to have extramarital sex.
People who survive the procedure can experience severe pain, bleeding, infections, and lifelong sexual health problems. Some die as a result of complications.
Gender discrimination has a profound effect on healthcare, reducing the speed, accuracy, and quality of treatment. It affects diagnosis and treatment in many ways, including:
Dismissal of symptoms: According to a 2018 review, doctors are more likely to view women’s chronic pain as psychological, exaggerated, or even made up, in comparison with men’s pain. This can leave people without support or treatment.
Incorrect or delayed diagnoses: Prejudices about gender can result in people getting incorrect diagnoses or having to wait for years for any diagnosis. For example, a 2020 article found that it takes doctors 6.5 months longer to diagnose moderate hemophilia in females than in males, and 39 months longer to diagnose severe hemophilia. This is despite the fact that females are more likely to notice symptoms of bleeding disorders, such as hemophilia.
Withholding care: Research from 2017 found that doctors routinely deny cis women access to birth control until they undergo annual pap smears. This form of manipulation is unethical and harmful, as it denies a person the ability to choose what happens to their body when.
Obstetric violence: This involves forcing medical interventions onto a person who is giving birth, without their consent. The term also refers to verbal and physical abuse during labor. A 2019 study found that out of 2,016 observed births taking place in Nigeria, Ghana, Guinea, and Myanmar, 41.6% of women experienced obstetric violence or abuse.
Gender discrimination also affects healthcare workers, the majority of whom are women. For example, a 2019 report on the British Medical Association found that the organization engaged in widespread discrimination against women, including bullying and sexual harassment.
In the face of this discrimination, doctors who are women are just as capable as doctors who are men. A 2017 study, for example, found that patients of female surgeons were 4% less likely to die within 30 days of a procedure, compared with patients of male surgeons. Each patient in the study had undergone one of 25 types of surgery.
Learn more about gender bias in medical diagnosis here.
Sexism reduces the health and well-being of everyone. If a person experiences discrimination and this damages their health, it has a knock-on effect on their family, friends, and the wider community.
A 2017 report notes that gender inequality contributes to unemployment and poverty among women and has adverse effects on child health and development.
Indirectly, sexism also harms men. The need to live up to masculine stereotypes can result in men not seeking medical help when they need it, behaving in ways that damage their health, and becoming involved in violence.
The economic cost of this is huge. Research from 2016 found that institutional gender discrimination costs the global economy $12 trillion, or 16% of the world’s total income.
Everyone has a responsibility to learn about and help end gender discrimination — it directly or indirectly harms everyone. People can learn more from:
UN Women, a United Nations entity that provides educational resources about the rights of women and girls
the WHO, which publishes reports, fact sheets, and articles about the impact of sexism on health
Birth Monopoly, Human Rights in Childbirth, and ImprovingBirth.org, which are working to educate about and end obstetric violence
SisterSong, which focuses on healthcare and maternal mortality among Black and Indigenous women
The Trevor Project, which works to end suicide and provide crisis intervention and other support for LGBTQIA+ youth
The effects of gender discrimination are global. This discrimination harms mental and physical health, leads to poverty, creates and enforces cycles of abuse and violence, and restricts access to healthcare.
Anyone can counter gender discrimination by learning about its causes, manifestations, and effects — and by taking action to stop it.

Specific Ethical Processes and Policies Affected
As the world becomes smaller and faster and companies adapt their practices to fit new conditions, the core of business ethics that guides corporate behaviour remains the same, directed, as always, by shared values and morals as well as legal restraints. A firm establishes a Code of Ethics that vividly enumerates the guidelines and expectations concerning the behaviour and practices of every professional individual that is part of an organization. Each is held accountable for full compliance with the Code especially to any issues that are within the scope of control. The key requirements of the Code that are significant to this discussion are: 1) to act in accordance with the highest standards of honesty, integrity and fairness and expect the same in their relationships with others while maintaining a work and business climate fostering such standards, 2) to avoid any relationship with a contractor or supplier that could compromise the ability to transact business on a professional, impartial and competitive basis or influence decisions to be made by any Shell company; and 3) consistent with the scope of his job responsibilities, ensure full, fair, accurate, timely, and understandable disclosure in regulatory filings and in other public communications made by Royal Dutch Shell (Shell, 2020).
Business leaders play an important role in setting the standards and expectations of every business activity to be performed in a sound, ethical and responsible manner. The primary purpose of business ethics is to guide organizations as well as their employees by stressing out a  manner of behaviour that proactively determines and executes the right actions to take, ones that avoid lapses in judgment and deed (Byars & Stanberry, 2018). However, as all would hope to see this in every firm in the business world, there are still companies who still might need to work on with their corporate culture and behaviours, including Royal Dutch Shell. The previous section discussed in greater detail the issues that Shell was faced with, which brought negative consequences to the community, to the environment and to the firm itself.

Perhaps one striking scandal caused by Shell that altered the public’s perception is the oil spills in Nigeria. Nigeria was one of the largest oil exporters and due to this, it was subjected to exploitation. The incident resulted in thousands of oil spills, human rights violations, environmental destruction, and corruption. Nearly one and a half million tons of oil have been discharged into the Delta's farms, forests, and rivers since oil drilling began (Shah, 2010). The rain forests have been tremendously destroyed because of the petroleum sipped within the soil, thus damaging the roots and overall growth of trees. The fish population has also been negatively affected by oil drilling, in that hundreds of species have gone extinct because of it. The oil spills in the Niger Delta also have negatively impacted the health of the locals. They could only grow crops on small portions of land unaffected by oil spills. Food was not enough and that led to increased hunger in families, making the country predominant of malnutrition. The Ogonis, a minority group of people in Nigeria, felt that they should receive greater benefits from oil operation. Shell’s unethical decision brought devastation to the environment, livelihood and health of the local citizens. Clearly, this scandal caught the unwanted attention of the public, environmentalists and concerned organizations. It even denied the allegation of environmental problems. Even then, the senior staff already knew of the leaky pipelines but still proceeded with the operations. One staff resigned due to inability to defend the firm’s environmental record without sacrificing his personal integrity (Amnesty International, 2020). If only the exploitation and extraction were carefully planned and executed, this disaster would be brought to a minimal, and it could still be in partnership with the locals in trying to alleviate the situation.

Amnesty International, a movement promoting human rights and freedom from discrimination, filed a case against oil giant Shell for committed violations including murder and torture. Alongside the pollution, there is evidence that Shell built a personal network and had several meetings with Mayor Okuntimo, former head of the Rivers State Internal Security Task Force, responsible for many massacres. The former requested the assistance of a paramilitary police unit to deal with peaceful protesters at one of its facilities. The police attacked the village with guns and grenades, killing 80 people and burning approximately 600 houses. This incident did not cease here for yet again, the firm asked for assistance from Okuntimo, and the troops opened fire on community protests. Shell presented itself apologetically for the incident and attempted to distance itself from Major Okuntimo. Okuntimo deemed Shell ungrateful because he was risking his life to protect Shell’s oil installation. This is putting its interests above all else. Shell compromised its ability to transact business on a professional basis but instead became the root cause of multiple deaths of others through the military forces merely to put a stop on domestic disagreement and unrest (Burger, 2011).
Certain activist groups demand Shell to cut down its greenhouse gas emissions. Even decades ago, the management of Shell knew that burning fossil fuels would result in the planet to warm and, once climate change became a crucial global issue, their firm would need to change. While all these claims seem to be true, it is undeniable that the demand for oil kept on increasing to fuel the economic progression and expansion and somehow consumers showed little concern on emissions. That is why Shell proceeded with its usual operations. Under the view of individualism, their actions align with their business strategy in achieving huge profits. However on the utilitarian standpoint, their business practices are unethical because of their violations in the environment and human rights  (Robinson, 2019).
