I may not be known for my fashion sense, but I do know that The Jean Paul Gaultier Fashion Freak Show at @southbankcentre is awesome, and that it runs through August 2. It’s fashion and theatre and circus wrapped in one, it’s hilarious and touching and every second is an explosion of creativity. The soundtrack curated by Nike Rodgers is killer - the highlight being a version of Chic’s “I Want Your Love” sung by Catherine Ringer of Les Rita Mitsouko, narrating the Love dance of young Jean Paul and Francis Menuge. The models - in all shapes and sizes - managed to show off mad skills while also making you feel like they were just there to party like you in the audience. So I recommend it, and I celebrate this dude and his “all are welcome” spirit tons.
