Song of The Day - August 18, 2017

Lee Minhyuk (BTOB) - Purple Rain ft. Cheeze

[C] Man, I keep being destroyed by these boys, I love this whole new song a month thing especially because they’re all releasing solo tracks. I can’t get over this song Cheeze is a nice addition to it but I almost wish Minhyuk would have done the whole thing himself, I love his voice singing or rapping he sounds awesome. The little bit he does sing is what I live for and just makes me want him singing it all even more maybe one day. Hopefully. I have kind of been binging this song all for Minhyuk this last little bit with the solo releases has made me get into BTOB more than I was in the past and I’ve learned quite a bit about the members.

[S] I am still not so patiently waiting for Sungjaes turn to release a song and I swear cube is trolling me and it is never going to happen. HOW MANY MEMBERS OF BTOB IS THERE?! WE HAVE TO BE ALMOST THERE NOW! I am anticipating song so much I feel like i might not be giving the other members tracks a fair chance. I am really just blinded by the lack of sungjae in my life. XD

Right now i think this song is ok. it is nothing crazy and is pretty chill I cannot say I am a fan of the girl’s voice and I wish we actually got to hear more of Minhyuk in his own track.

[M] Soon S, soon. Eventually Cube will give you Sungjae, but until then breathe, calm down and enjoy another piece of BTOB. Minhyuk has a beautiful singing voice, after hearing how he raps and then the switch to his singing voice caught me off guard. He as a beautiful voice. Cheeze reminds me a bit of Suran when she was featued on So Far Away by Agust D. However I find Cheeze almost is more of the focus of the track than Minhyuk. The rap verse right before the final chorus is probably my favourite part as it is so much more aggressive than the rest of the song and I love that contrast between the emotion in that part to how delicate the rest of the song is.
