Reveal Your Watch & Rewatch List
woke up to lovely @gooseras tagging me so here’s my list! you can usually find what i’m watching on the desktop site as well, it’s up on the leftmost corner.
watching:
gap: this is the one series i watch immediately when it comes up these days
tvn mine: slowly making my way through because i’m also giffing it when i have time; i’ve also written my first fanfic because of this show. it’s insane.
if you don’t mind me plugging in my other side blog, i’m also watching & giffing leverage redemption
soshi tamtam: already missing summer and the girls
choco milk shake 😭
between us: i find it incredibly funny because i haven’t seen the sequel, but it’s also such a quiet little show it’s nice to watch to wind down
rewatching:
kinnporsche: nothing gave me the high that was kinnporsche airing this year and i mean. i’ve done really interesting stuff this year, not the least of which is getting into grad school. nevertheless, gap is becoming a close second, which reminded me of kinnporsche, so i’m rewatching.
oban star racers, something that resurfaced from my teenage years. they recently released the blu-ray version with the local dubs on their kickstarter page.
plan to watch: i’m not sure to be honest, whatever strikes my fancy. the only certainty is i’m going to watch work later drink now season 2, which premiers tomorrow. it looks like they’re going camping this season, it’ll be hilarious. the golden spoon has yook sungjae and choi wonyoung duo from mystic popup bar which i loved so that’s on my list. I’ll probably watch summer strike at some point. i’ll definitely check out may i help you? because of lee hyeri. cheer up looks really uplifting and fun. and yeah, whatever else strikes my fancy!

Ok this is kinda random question because I ask about unrelated stuff, but:
1. Anyone has a way to watch the movie Victory where Lee Hyeri starts? Miyeon has a cameo on it and as a part of my deep dive I want to watch it.
2. I am full aware this movie was just released but is there a way to watch You are the apple of my eye? I want to watch the debut acting of Kim Dahyun.
3. This movie was released on August but we still don’t have a proper way to watch Uranus2324? This movie was iconic and as a new fan of Thai gl I think is important to watch them.
The website I usually watch k dramas don’t have any of this movies so I wonder.

THE RETURN OF SUPERMAN | Lee Jihoon
Author’s Note: In the last part of TROS Jeonghan, I had mistakenly labeled Yuna as Lee Jihoon’s daughter. Please forgive me! I already edited it to lessen confusion haha. Yuna will be coming out in the next story as another member’s child, as edited. Please watch out for it, and I hope you come to love Lee Jihoon’s family in this AU, too!
NEW SERIES ALERT! While reading this fic, you will have a clue as to what series is coming next on this blog. Please watch out for it and if you see the clue, you can comment it down! :D
HYERI YOU’D BETTER READ THIS ONE!
Genre: ABSOLUTE FLUFF with traces of good ol’ angst but this is definitely a happy story so go ahead and read it!
Word count: 5,896
Lee Jihoon always had a plan. It wasn’t always written on paper or formulated to the dot (you were the one responsible for that end), but it was always there. He felt a lot better if he had things under his control. And so when he decided to enter the Return of Superman show with his friends, he wasn’t going unprepared.
Because, as he stared across at the table (mind you, sudden shivers were coming up his spine as he looked at the young toddler who looked oh so innocent—for now)…
…One could never go unprepared with Lee Yeseung.
“I mapped it out carefully, love,” he told you over breakfast. “I mapped out every single activity I am going to do with him. He’s not an easy kid, but—“
“—Who isn’t easy?” you innocently asked, eyeing your son fondly. He had his father’s eyes and the gentleness of your facial features. His pale-white skin was also his father’s, but the color of his eyes, black with a hint of brown in them, were yours. “Yeseung is a good boy, aren’t you?”
Yeseung smiled sweetly at you and giggled his cute, toddler giggle.
“You know, this child doesn’t come from my side of the family,” Jihoon taunted you as he ate. “My Yeseung is too much like you. Like mother, like son.” Jihoon was laughing to himself, pleased at making you feel pissed off early in the morning. It was a ritual he was having a hard time to break, even after five years of marriage. But when Jihoon turned his eyes to you, he stopped mid-laughter.
“What?” he said, raising both hands. “It’s true!” He pointed at his son. “Look at him! He’s hyper!”
“You are uncharacteristically talkative today,” you replied to him, your eyes narrowing. “What are you up to?”
Yeseung stared up from his bowl at his father. He was holding the bowl to his face with his hands, doing his best to quietly finish his breakfast as you had sternly told him to do. He had understood your husband’s words, and now he dropped the bowl, cereal flying all over the place as he bawled.
You stabbed your fork at a hotdog and glared daggers at your husband. “Lee Jihoon!”
Jihoon turned back to his meal. “I love you both, and I’m…” he sighed, getting up on second thought and disappearing behind to the kitchen for a minute. “I’m going to get the dishcloth.”
“I wasn’t hyper this time,” Yeseung sobbed, rubbing his eyes and putting cereal on his face. “He called me hyper again. I wasn’t hyper this time.” He wailed louder. “Why does he always call me hyper?”
You sighed and scooped the child in your arms, forgetting your breakfast. You were hoping for a quiet morning, but Jihoon just had to upset your baby again. “No, appa was just joking.”
“Yeseung-ah!” Jihoon deftly scooped up Yeseung from your arms and began smothering him with kisses. “Appa was just joking! Like we always do!”
Yeseung looked up at his appa, with tearful eyes. “I’m not hyper, right? I’m a good boy, right?”
“Exactly. A very good boy who will help appa clean up the table!”
“What activity planning were you talking about?”
Jihoon smirked at you and peppered his son with kisses. “I’m nervous, Y/N,” he said quietly, as he looked straight into your eyes, his face going serious. “That’s why I was being talkative. I rarely do this with others, except you.”
You felt your whole face flush. “What activity planning were you talking about?” you repeated your question again.
Jihoon smiled nervously. “It’s for the Return of Superman show.”
INTERVIEW WITH LEE JIHOON, 30:
JIHOON: Hello everyone, my name is Lee Jihoon. I am known by many as SEVENTEEN’s Woozi. This—(he hoists little Yeseung up his lap)—is my three-year-old, Lee Yeseung. Say hi to the camera, Yeseung-ah!
YESEUNG: (Smiles at the camera shyly and then burrows into his father’s jacket.)
WOOZI: (Smiles at his son’s shyness.) Sorry, he’s still a bit camera-shy. But we’re really looking forward to enjoying ourselves on this show! And—(Laughs self-consciously and hugs his little boy close to him.)—I hope I learn more as a dad!
Q: This was asked to the other members as well: How does it feel to have a child of your own?
JIHOON: (Laughs nervously and pats Yeseung, who was squirming on his lap.) Actually, it’s nerve-wracking.
(Silence.)
JIHOON: (Looks down at his son.) You always have to brace yourself with little Yeseung here.
Boy, were we to find out.
NARRATOR: *We are now here at the Lee residence! (Cameras pan around the lavish but minimalistic penthouse of the Lee family.) And it is a beautiful morning, with no clouds in the sky to signal any rainfall. What will this day bring for Lee-appa and little Yeseung?*
6:50 A.M.
A flutter of what seemed like paper floated into Jihoon’s face. Startled, he opened his eyes and struggled to get up quickly out of bed.
Another piece of paper—no, poorly-made paper plane—floated into his face.
He closed his eyes. Took deep breaths. Tried to shake the feeling of sleepiness and called, as calmly as he could, “Yeseung-ah, where did you get all these papers?”
A giggle and a high-pitched squeal of delight was all the answer he could get.
“LEE YESEUNG!!!”
Lee Jihoon jumped out of bed the moment his eyes caught the paper. Groggily, and feeling a little bit off because it was still early, he reached out and snatched a paper plane zooming in toward him. When his eyes had adjusted enough, he looked at the paper. Oh, cool. His baby boy was making paper planes. What an artist! He smiled sleepily, and was about to say a word of praise to his little artist when he looked at the paper again.
Panic and stress, too early to be felt in the morning, seized his heart. He was suddenly wide awake.
Aishh, this kid!!!
Lee Yeseung, his son, was making paper planes out of his music sheets.
HIS LIFE’S WORK. HIS MUSIC SHEETS.
His mind going insane, he bounded across the room with uncharacteristic quickness (it was still early in the morning, mind you), and flung the door open. He was already beginning to panic internally. He was sure he had locked his office at the den when he went into bed at 3 a.m. He was very sure. He wouldn’t have forgotten. But he followed the paper trail—Breathe, bruh, breathe, he kept telling himself, not stopping to look at which song sheet got ripped by his little troll—and with utter disbelief, stared at his wide-open office door.
He distinctly remembered what folks kept telling him about this penthouse. “The doors, cupboards and the built-in closets are definitely (emphasis on DEFINITELY) childproof. You won’t have a problem, even if you get quintuplets running around and playing horse.”
Now, Lee Jihoon knew better. For his kid, even if he just has ONE Lee Yeseung, all the childproofing in the world would not be able to work.
“Yeseung-ah,” he gently chided, as he stared helplessly at the door and the little boy on the floor, surrounded by headsets, pens, papers, song sheets, and other stuff that he had religiously put into what he had considered “safe zones”. Now, he would be much more cautious when dealing with his boy. “What did you do?”
“Paper planes!” the kid squealed in delight, throwing another newly-made paper plane into the air. Jihoon forced himself to look away from the plane circling above them; he forced himself not to see that that was his FIRST finished lyric sheet for “Adore U”. This kid knew how to pull triggers to make his dad crazy, that’s for sure. Jihoon was doing his best not to freak out. He loved his little baby more than the song sheets. He kept telling himself that HE LOVED HIS KID MORE THAN THOSE SONG SHEETS THAT HE’D STAYED UP NIGHTS FOR. YEP. NOT FREAKING OUT.
“That…that was a piece with sentimental value…” the cameras caught Jihoon’s internally-freaking-out-I-don’t-know-how-to-handle-this-mess face, picking up the sheets that he could still salvage. The cameras also panned at the safety latches that were expertly unlatched (some were even unlatched with what looked to be like bite marks and SCISSORS), and the outlet caps that were—you guessed it—uncapped. Nothing closed remained closed. It was a good thing, though, that Jihoon’s treasure chest of other composing mementos was one with a padlock. Nothing beats a good, old padlock, he thought to himself with a sigh of relief. Not even childproof crap compared to it.
NARRATOR: *Oh, no! It looks like little Yeseung has made quite a mess! And with his dad’s most precious music sheets!*
“You won’t have a problem,” they said. “Childproof,” they said. Wow. Even with quintuplets, huh?
It took only one Lee Yeseung, Jihoon thought to himself, to unlatch three “safety” latches on his office door. Just one, bright, hyper, adorably troll-like little boy with an adorable giggle that was making his heart melt right now, wearing nothing but a T-shirt and his nappie, and holding a ripped-up song sheet entitled—OH NO.
“LEE YESEUNG!!!”
INTERVIEW WITH LEE JIHOON, 30:
JIHOON: (Holds his head in his hands for a few seconds before sighing deeply). He tore up my latest work. My little boy tore up my latest work. This is so…(groans and laughs at the same time) Seriously, I don’t know what to expect of my kid anymore. He just keeps doing whatever, and…it’s…(Laughs softly now.) I don’t know how my wife manages to keep him at bay. They’re together basically fifteen hours everyday, right after work, and she always manages to teach him how to do this and that without freaking out. Now I’M freaking out. That song sheet he’d ripped up had taken me hours to write, and I’ve only finished it right before I went to bed today. I don’t know if I’d still be able to salvage it. (Looks at the camera shyly and smirks.) But this is okay for the most part. Kids sometimes do this. (Laughs sheepishly at his excuse for Yeseung’s paper plane incident.) He’s probably doing payback because I called him a “hyper kid” yesterday.
Q: Will you still be able to write that song down because he ripped up that one? We know that you also have deadlines to meet.
JIHOON: (Nods confidently.) It’s a good thing that I always put files on backup. I never write without saving data, because accidents like this could happen. But still I have to tell Yeseung (Bites back a smile) not to mess with my work again. Even though my heart just bursts when I discipline him, I really have to do it so he learns that it’s not okay to rip up sheets and make paper planes out of them. (Nods again, as if still not quite believing what happened.) Paper planes. Wow. I didn’t teach him that, but he sure knows how to make one.
NARRATOR: *We are now entering the Lee playroom, where Jihoon-appa is going to talk to little Yeseung! What will happen here? Let’s find out!*
7:00 A.M.
A very repentant little Yeseung was escorted inside the playroom. His eyes, very much like his dad's, were now looking pleadingly at his father, who was having a very hard time keeping a stern face with his son. Because he felt like bailing out on this “scolding session”, as he liked to dub it, Jihoon avoided his son’s eyes, and the cute pleas that followed as he set two little chairs facing each other.
“Appa,” Yeseung called out to him, his baby voice quivering along with his lip as he spoke. “I’m really, really sorry for making a mess. Appa. Appa.”
“I know you’re sorry,” Jihoon answered, leaning down to pick Yeseung up and to set him on one chair. Then he tried to look inconspicuous and stern as he sat down on the other one, trying not to mind the cameras and the cameramen who were watching the scene with smiles on their faces. “But we still have to talk about what happened. Now, Lee Yeseung, what did you do? Why is Appa upset?”
There was silence for a while. Jihoon wondered for a few seconds if his kid even knew what was wrong about what he did.
Then, just as he was about to give up, Yeseung, whose eyes were by this time zooming in on his train set, was scratching his head. “Um…because I made a mess?” He whispered, his lisp making the question comical. He looked at his dad questioningly.
Jihoon, looking at Yeseung, found the expression so similar to yours whenever you would look up to him to ask a question. The similarity of the expression struck him that he couldn’t help but become benevolent towards this cute little tyke. “Exactly. What kind of mess?”
“I knew it.” Suddenly, Yeseung sniffled. His bottom lip was trembling, and Jihoon was panicking again. He was NOT allowed to cry. He had ripped up his dad’s song sheets, a vital part of his dad’s source of income! Jihoon was aghast as the little boy sobbed uncontrollably. “Did I make too many paper airplanes, Appa?” He began crying uncontrollably now. “I…I thought you would like them. Th-that w-w-was wh-why I…I made them.” Yeseung hiccupped between words, his tears streaming down his red cheeks, his eyes squeezed shut.
This kid is MISSING THE POINT! Who cares if he makes a thousand of those? I wouldn’t care. I’d love it even. But the material he used to make them…Jihoon took a deep breath. “Don’t cry, Lee Yeseung,” Jihoon warned, an edge to his voice, like he had heard you do whenever you would scold Yeseung. “You messed up Appa’s office. What did Eomma and Appa tell you about messing up Appa’s office?”
“You…” Yeseung looked at him with eyes that mirrored hurt. “You…” Hiccup. “Don’t…” Hiccup. “Like…” Hiccup. “My…” Hiccup. “PAPER PLANES!!!”
“No! I like them!”
At that point. Yeseung bawled like the baby he was. “I’m…” Hiccup. “Sorry!!!” He cried again.
“It’s true. I like them!”
You were supposed to be scolding him, Lee Jihoon, Jihoon could hear you chiding, NOT giving in the minute he cries like this.
Of course, Jihoon knew that. But he just sat there, speechless for a few seconds before coming down on his knees and consoling his baby. He really couldn’t be upset with this one for long, hard as he might try! “Hey, I liked your paper planes,” he whispered gently, rubbing his boy’s back and scooping him up into his arms, walking to and from one side of the room to the other. “You did great! I liked them.”
Yeseung looked up from Jihoon’s now-wet shirt where he had burrowed his face in to study his appa’s face. “Really? You…” Hiccup. “Really…” Hiccup. “Liked it…FOR REAL?”
Jihoon nodded, relieved to see that Yeseung had stopped sobbing his hurt little heart out. “I did. But what I didn’t like about them was that you made them out of my music sheets. What did Eomma and I tell you about that?”
“I…” he sniffled. “I wasn’t supposed to tear it up like I did.”
“But you did. Now, are you going to do that again?”
Yeseung, bless his heart, wiped his tears and shook his head. His eyes, now hopefully alight again, were looking at his father. “Not ever again.”
“You promise?” Jihoon looked at his little boy with a twinkle in his eye.
“I promise,” Yeseung solemnly replied.
“That’s my boy!” Jihoon kissed him on the cheek. “How about I get the ‘I Love You’ kiss to be sure that we’re friends again?”
Yeseung’s face lit up just like that. Using his hands wetted by tears, he held his father’s face on both and kissed Jihoon on the nose to start. He began to chant this unique family ritual in his irresistibly endearing, sing-song voice. “Appa, appa, I love you!” Left cheek kiss. “I love you!” Right cheek kiss. “I love you!” Nose kiss.
Jihoon laughed and did the same. “Yeseung, Yeseung, I love you!” Left cheek kiss. “I love you!” Right cheek kiss. “I love you!” Nose kiss.
“There!” Yeseung looked at him cheekily and patted his face, as if consoling him, as if his dad were the one who did something wrong. “We’re friends again now!” Then he burrowed his face into his dad’s shirt and said something that sounded like, “I wuv youuuu”.
Jihoon just stayed like that, as if time became suspended for him. Never had he felt these unexplainable emotions inside him right now. And, as was characteristic of him, he couldn’t say a word. This feeling, with his baby boy tucked into him so snugly, was too precious for words.
Soft laughs could be heard from the cameramen, breaking his awed reverie. He smiled shyly at one camera, and exited the room, still carrying his early-morning troublemaker.
And so father and son became reconciled after the paper plane incident, happily playing around with each other and laughing, the way they always do whenever they are together.
INTERVIEW WITH LEE JIHOON, 30:
JIHOON: (Smiles shyly.) I’m really happy that I got to be a part of this show. Being part of an idol group is amazing, and the companionship and the effort each of us put to make SEVENTEEN survive the challenges and achieve milestones cannot be compared to anything…but it’s true that we sometimes miss out on family life. The tours, the training, the endless engagements and other things that work requires us to do, are often at the expense of our time with our personal and family lives. I’m really thankful for shows like this, where the line between career and personal lives could be blurred for a few enjoyable days to show people that we, too, have families, and we want to spend time with them as much as we could. (Shows a picture of Yeseung.) This was taken during Yeseung’s second birthday party. He had just gotten his front teeth then, and you could see that there (points at Yeseung’s grinning mouth in the picture.)…he’s cute, isn’t he? (Laughs shyly again.) But the reason why I was showing this is because I would like to tell you that this was one of the times when I wasn’t able to make it for an important family event. It’s a good thing that my wife understands enough, loving enough, and patient enough to go on and do things even when I am not there. She has never resented me for having less time with them as I’d like. (Smiles briefly.) But here I am, and I promise myself that I will enjoy these moments with my baby.
9:00 A.M.
NARRATOR: *Little artist Yeseung is going to daycare today. Will he enjoy his day with friends today? Let’s find out!*
“THAT’S NOT A STAR!!!”
Yeseung’s eyes started to water with tears as he looked at Eunha, his girl crush since forever, glaring at him with her tiny arms crossed around her chest.
The daycare toddlers had been told by their teacher to draw shapes with different kinds of crayons and pencils, all neatly laid out on the tables. The kids, sitting patiently on their chairs and putting their creative minds to work, were seated three by three on each table. But the cameras were zoomed in on Lee Yeseung and Jeon Eunha’s table. They were supposed to have another classmate on their table, but a friend of theirs wasn’t able to come to daycare today. Cameramen smiled as they panned swiftly to Lee Yeseung, whose lower lip had started to tremble, a sure sign that he was about to cry. Again.
Beautiful Jeon Eunha, Jeon Wonwoo’s bright little baby girl, dressed in a white dress and baby blue cardigan, would not stop telling Yeseung that he had made an unusual drawing of a star. Therefore, it could not be a star.
A cameraman zoomed in on the artwork in question, and he had to agree. The huge yellow-and-orange blob in the middle of Lee Yeseung’s paper did not look like a star at first glance.
But how could we say that to such a cute little boy who looked even cuter in his navy trousers, cream-colored sweater and round-rimmed glasses? How?
“B-but it is a star,” he sobbed as he pointed at his artwork with a yellow crayon. “See? It--it even looks like it’s burning bright!”
“It’s not a star, Lee Yeseung,” Eunha insisted, her beautiful chin arched up imperiously. “Stars do not look like that!”
Yeseung cried. “Don’t fight with each other, Yeseung and Eunha,” Yoon Jae Eun wisely shouted from the other table where she was also drawing shapes with the Choi twins. “Don’t cry anymore, Lee Yeseung!”
Eunha saw that she had made Yeseung cry, and she stopped crossing her arms and sat down next to him. Embarrassed because he could not stop crying, she awkwardly patted his shoulder.
“Don’t cry,” she softly consoled, “don’t cry.”
“No I don’t wanna cry,” Choi Seungjae sang from the other table. Soft laughter emanated from the cameremen’s different perches. Seriously, Choi Seungjae?
NARRATOR: *Aww, the argument between Lee Yeseung and Jeon Eunha is now ending with a warm gesture from Eunha! How cute these two are!*
“I’m sorry for making you cry,” Eunha whispered, her braids swishing as she leaned close to Yeseung. Her pretty, almond-shaped eyes, which shone fiercely a few moments ago, now looked kind. And Yeseung, seeing that his friend was being nice to him again, gave Eunha a wobbly smile.
“I can show you how to make a better star. May I?”
Yeseung nods, his eyes filled with unashamed wonder again at Eunha.
Watching from a floor-to-ceiling window facing the tables, Jihoon and Wonwoo stood watching their kids.
Lee Jihoon groaned and put his hand to his face. “Wow.”
Wonwoo looked over at Jihoon and grinned. “I told you: let’s match them up.”
“Stop that! They’re so young!” But Jihoon laughed and pressed a hand to the windowpane, his watchful eyes never leaving his son, who was now coloring with Eunha. “You’re right, though. My Yeseung likes Eunha very much.”
Wonwoo nodded wisely, very much like his daughter. “I guess he liked her from the very moment he met Eunha.”
INTERVIEW WITH LEE JIHOON, 30:
JIHOON: (Rubs his chin thoughtfully.) When Yeseung was about two years old, my wife and I noticed that he was having a hard time trying to speak. I thought we were just both paranoid parents since he was our first baby, but when we relayed our concerns to our family doctor, he immediately referred us to a speech-language pathologist, who confirmed our fears. This pathologist told us that Yeseung had the beginning stages of a “speech sound disorder”. Yeseung checks the box on the symptoms that this disorder is known widely for: not using consonants when babbling, using mainly vowels or resorting to gestures to communicate even at age 2...we were really--how do I put this--distraught, that our little boy could have that kind of speech impediment. But the doctor told us not to worry, and said that because we found out about Yeseung’s speech disorder earlier, we could treat it with a higher chance of success.
(Short pause as Jihoon takes a drink.)
JIHOON: We took him to a lot of individual therapy sessions for the first few months, but there were no changes. We took less hours from work as much as we could to spend more time with him. Yeseung was a bright kid. He knew that there was something wrong and I could see that he wanted to help us make him better, but he could only do so much.
(Looks lost in thought for a while.)
JIHOON: I remember thinking during that time, “My baby boy is about to attend daycare and then preschool--if we don’t have success in therapeutic treatment, he may have a hard time at school.” (Looks at his hands.) I remember nights when I would carry him in my arms at night, rock him to sleep, and then go to my wife, who would be crying silently. I would hold her close, too. Where words sound empty, gestures fill. (Smiles sadly.) It was a very hard time for her because the both of us had demanding jobs, and there are particularly hard days at work, which adds to the pressure of making sure that our child gets the love, care and attention that he needs. Sometimes, as a parent, you feel so inadequate because even though you love your child with all of your being, it’s...it’s not enough. And you have to learn to accept that you aren’t enough, and that you have to learn harder to wait. I learned that as we helped Yeseung overcome his speech sound disorder.
JIHOON: (Pauses for a while, then suddenly smiles.) Things took a turn for the better when Wonwoo and his family visited on a Monday. My wife was at work and I was the one with Yeseung then, because it was my day off. Wonwoo brought Eunha to Yeseung, and I could still remember Yeseung’s face (Gestures wildly with his hands, eyes smiling.), all bright and cheerful and all smiles--he only had his four front teeth, then! I remember that they played together a lot, and Wonwoo and I talked all afternoon about...dad stuff. (Laughs lightly.) Who knew, right? Who knew that we’d get to this point. We got married at about the same time, we had kids that are separated only by months--it was an amazing conversation that I still recall fondly.
(The cameraman nods agreement at Jihoon’s comments about how fast time flies. Jihoon gives him a high-five.)
JIHOON: But what amazed me was when we ended the day and I was carrying Yeseung, as we waved goodbye to our visitors, Yeseung shouted out, “Jeon Eunha, bye-bye!” (Looks at the camera, smiling incredulously.) If anyone could have seen my face when he said those three words. He said it clearly, without any sign of the impediment he was being treated with. I tried to make him say it again, but he looked up at me and I knew that I had to wait a little longer for him to speak clearly on his own. I didn’t have to wait longer. During dinner later that night, my wife and I were surprised. He suddenly said, “Jeon Eunha. I like Jeon Eunha.”
(Wonderment from the background of the interview. Jihoon nods, smiling and then shakes his head in disbelief.)
JIHOON: (Looks at the camera again, smirking his FAMOUS SMIRK.) To everyone who is watching, yes, it’s true. Yeseung’s first clear sentence wasn’t about his parents. (Shakes his head again.) It was about how he liked Jeon Eunha.
12:00 P.M.
“LEE YESEUNG!!!”
Jihoon’s piercing cry of alarm could be heard all around the whole daycare center. Cameras panned at him quickly, standing, distraught and in shock, as he watched his toddler tumble down the supposedly safe slide at the playroom, head first.
As fast as his feet could carry him, Jihoon was beside his son at once. He cradled Yeseung’s head on his lap and he checked for bumps. His heart raced inside so fast he felt like he was about to faint. He recorded today in his mind: Lee Yeseung’s first slide accident. He wanted no more accidents in the future.
“Why did you slide down like that?” he chided worriedly. He kissed Yeseung’s head over and over again and hugged his boy close to him. “You’re not allowed to slide that way again, are we clear?” When he did not get a response from the little tyke, he repeated, more firmly, “Are we clear, Lee Yeseung?”
“Hehehe.”
The gurgling giggles that only four-year-old toddlers can produce vibrated in Lee Jihoon’s chest. Surprised, he looked down at Yeseung in his arms.
Lee Yeseung wasn’t crying.
Lee Yeseung was laughing.
As in bursting to the seams with laughter.
“Lee Yeseung, I didn’t hear you reply to me. Are we clear?” Jihoon intentionally made his voice sound sterner than usual. “Are. We. Clear? Or do I have to make you face the wall like your Eomma does?”
The little lip trembled again. Jihoon thought Yeseung was about to have another crying session, but something different happened.
The trembling lip was a moment’s hesitation, in a toddler’s language.
Yeseung reached up, cupped his father’s face in his small hands, and kissed him on the cheek.
“Lee Ye--”
--another kiss on the cheek. Followed by a giggle.
“You look funny when you’re mad, Appa,” Yeseung giggled again. “Funny, funny, funny!”
“Lee Yeseung,” Lee Jihoon groaned. Again, he received a kiss on the cheek.
“Don’t be mad at Yeseung anymore!”
“LEE YESEEEUNNGGGG!!!”
With that, Lee Yeseung bounded away, towards the direction where Choi Seungjae’s voice came from. His playmates were calling again.
And Lee Jihoon--while charmed and red-faced by his son’s “kiss-on-the-cheek diplomacy”--still watched worriedly. He had felt a huge bump that he knew would soon grow into a humongous one later. He knew that you would be furious the moment you see that bump on Yeseung’s forehead.
Sighing and completely resigned to his fate as a worried dad and soon-to-be-interrogated husband, he watched as Yeseung played tag with his hyper friends.
Oops. He had to remove that word from his vocabulary. He mentally slapped his head. Yeseung doesn’t like being called hyper. Yeseung won’t like it if Jihoon described his friends as hyper, too, he knew.
“I love my son,” he repeated over and over. “I love my son. I love my wife. This will be a great day.”
And of course it will be!
8:00 P.M.
NARRATOR: *We are back at the Lee Residence! Looks like little Lee Yeseung is telling his mom about his day while they are playing with his Legos. Let’s look at what they are doing!*
It was a rule in your house that Lee Yeseung will only be allowed to play with his iPad for a certain amount of hours, and with parental supervision. Nights were reserved for non-gadget games and quality time as a family.
Which is why, after dinner, cameras slowly zoomed in on Yeseung’s bedroom, where you, Jihoon and Yeseung were all sprawled on the padded floor, helping the little one play with his Lego blocks. You, of course, had your face blurred on the cameras for privacy purposes. On his small bed, tidily decorated and loud with Toy Story designs (Woody was Yeseung’s favorite cartoon character), were Yeseung’s pajamas and socks, folded neatly and waiting to be worn by their owner when bedtime approached.
You helped Lee Yeseung build a ship with his Lego blocks, and Lee Jihoon sat on one side, pen and paper in hand. He had been trying to salvage what he could still remember about his latest work, which had been torn apart and made into paper planes, now hanging on the ceiling above. Yeseung had insisted, and you had overruled Jihoon’s protestations. Jihoon had given in and helped you and Yeseung hang the paper planes onto the ceiling with different colored strings.
“Eunha and I had a fight,” Yeseung dutifully reported to you as he skilfully attached a Lego to complete the hull of the ship.
“Aww. Now that’s a story I haven’t heard about.” you said consolingly at your son before turning to Jihoon, whispering fiercely, “Was this before or after our baby got a bump on his head?”
Jihoon stopped writing. “Ouch. That hurts. I was watching him all the time when he slid the wrong way, love!”
You made faces at Jihoon and turned back to Yeseung. The ship was almost completed. “Why did you have a fight?”
“She told me that my star did not look like a star.” Yeseung’s face twisted again when he mentioned what happened, but he did not cry. “But it was a star, Eommai! I even made it burn brightly.”
You were taken by surprise at the reason for the fight and decided to be gentle. “Well...we learned about what stars look like, right? Remember? You and Eomma made stars together?”
Yeseung nodded and looked up at you with sad eyes. “I remember.”
“So…” you purse your lips. “What did your star look like?”
Yeseung immediately got up and skipped to his small drawing table, where he picked up a piece of paper. “Here, Eomma! And I promise you, it’s really a star!”
You looked at the blob of yellow on the paper and could not speak for a moment. Ah. Maybe they were learning about shapes earlier, and to everyone in the classroom, this did not look like a star shape. But you knew how Yeseung was thinking. You glanced at your son appreciatively, smiling at him.
“It is a star,” you confirmed, and Yeseung beamed at you.
By nine o’clock, after tucking Yeseung in to sleep, cameras were still trained on you and Jihoon, sitting next to your toddler’s bed.
Jihoon cleared his throat. “So...is it really a star?”
You looked at Jihoon quickly and laughed softly. Then you reached for Yeseung’s iPad on the bedside table where you were leaning.
“See for yourself.”
You opened the iPad and showed Jihoon a recent video that Yeseung had just watched. It was about the solar system and the stars.
No stars shown on the video looked five-pointed. All stars shown were balls of fire, burning brightly.
“Eunha was right when she showed Yeseung how to draw the star shape that we use in art,” you said softly, closing the iPad, “but Yeseung was thinking differently. He was picturing a real star. He knew what they really looked like and he wanted to draw it well.”
“Hence the blob.” Jihoon was holding Yeseung’s artwork. “He’s a genius.
You laughed again. “Yes. Hence the blob of burning yellow.”
You both laughed, and watched Yeseung’s deep breaths. Then you turned off the lamp. “Let’s go. He’s asleep.”
“Remind me to get padlocks for my office.”
You laughed again.
Cameras panned away from Yeseung’s room as you and Jihoon retreated to your bedroom. But, faintly, just before the scene was completed, Jihoon was heard speaking in low tones.
“Remember those thirty nights we spent together, love?”
“Shhhh! Lee Jihoon!”
Mercifully, the scene had already been completed. Lee Jihoon’s teasing laugh and your noises of protest went unrecorded and your bedroom door closed.
So there ended another night at the Lee residence.
3:04 A.M.
Or so we thought.
The soft patter of footsteps and a little figure in pajamas could be heard quietly sneaking into a forbidden part of the house.
Click.
“Let’s make boats for Eomma,” a voice sang in the dark.
An automatic light came on in the forbidden room, followed by the sound of paper being ripped. Rip, rip, rip. And singing! But you and Jihoon did not hear all the commotion happening. The cameras, though, recorded the sneaky action.
You better hope that ripping sound is not coming out of your books…
…because Lee Yeseung is about to make you a lot of boats.

notes: word counts are included with each individual answer! completed for +5 tracker points.
assuming your muse has changed in some way, be it internally or as a result of a change of the external factors around them, how is your muse different? these can be as small as an opinion on a song they hadn’t released previously or as big as a major change in their background. word count: 261.
minhee’s childhood prior to becoming a trainee is pretty much the exact same as before the restructuring. dance prodigy says fuck u crazy dance mom, i’m not gonna be maddie ziegler, and ends up becoming an idol. she started training a year earlier than before though, so she had a slightly longer training process! i think the most obvious change to everyone else is her faceclaim, which is now lee hyeri. buuuut if you take a look at her pages or app or anything else, you’ll see that she’s now a main dancer, lead vocal & rapper, rather than being a main dancer, lead rapper & vocal! this was sort of a selfish change on my part, because i wanted to open her up to some opportunities for solo work that wouldn’t have suited her before because of her position, but that would’ve fitted more along the lines of what i initially imagined for her image than the options actually available to her. she’s also been a lot happier for a lot longer, because instead of debuting with a concept she hated, minhee got to debut in ... an age appropriate group! if you look here, you can see some examples of what i thought of when thinking of minhee’s ideal group and ... yeah, lily lines up with that pretty well. not perfectly, but pretty well. she’s still dealing with her issues surrounding her family, her sexuality and her fear of aging, but for the most part, minhee’s a lot more settled, or even satisfied, in terms of her career.
what does your muse think of their company and their group? word count: 255.
let’s start with lily, minhee’s beloved. she loves her members, she loves the overwhelming majority of their songs, and she’s proud as hell of the legacy they’ve built up for themselves so far. to be honest, sometimes she it just hits her that oh shit, she’s minnie from lily! and oh shit, they’re basically the biggest girl group ever. no one tell her that candy inherited nation’s girl group or that ultraviolet are taking over the world, let her be dumb. no, but genuinely, she can’t believe the scale of what they’ve achieved sometimes. she doesn’t totally feel like she deserves all the love she gets. then there’s the company behind it all; bc entertainment. she wonders all the time if her mother would’ve went along with everything if it was any other company that minhee came home with a callback from. probably not. for that alone, she’s thankful. she sort of dislikes being portrayed as perfect and untouchable -- more silly and down to earth than a lot of her peers under the company, but still. it’s just part and parcel of bc’s status. the reason it gets to her is that she’s very much not that perfect girl next door that the company wants her to be, and she puts a lot of pressure on herself to live up to it. as such, minhee probably doesn’t take advantage of all of the resources being under bc allows her access to as much as she should, choosing instead to just grin and bear it.
is your muse on their first contract or their second? if they’ve renewed, what were their feelings around that at the time and what were their hopes for their second contract? if they haven’t renewed, what are their current thoughts on the end of their eventual first contract? word count: 260.
minhee is on her second contract. she renewed with bc in 2019 for a further seven years, which doesn’t feel like that long of a time. seven years seemed like a liftetime when she signed her debut contract in 2012, but it went by pretty fast for her. finding out what the rest of her members were doing was the most important thing for minhee when choosing whether or not to renew. with lily’s status in the industry, the money she made over the previous years, and the wealth belonging to her family, she felt confident that she’d be okay no matter what happened. a safety net. but her preference was always going to be to continue with the rest of lily if possible. she wouldn’t have forced the issue if the others didn’t want to though ... at least not on purpose. knowing minhee, she probably would’ve been crying all over the place and ended up messing with everyone’s plans like that. maybe she would’ve put out an ad like, “nation’s girl group in search of new agency. must be willing to take in four fully grown women and meet all of their demands.” as for the terms in her second contract, minhee was looking for some more royalties and some reassurance that lily would continue to receive the levels of resources and investment that they were already receiving from the company, as well as more opportunities for her to grow as a soloist. she didn’t want them falling by the wayside. she’s too young to be washed up!
what are your muse’s goals and motivations? word count: 259.
in terms of her career, minhee actually has some pretty lofty ambitions. her top two focuses are solo music and modeling, and they’re basically split an even 50/50. she wants to continue releasing upbeat solo songs, but as for the music itself, aside from some dabbling in lyrics, she’s happy to leave it to the professionals. her primary interest, aside from the obvious performance and promotion aspects, lies in developing her own choreography. for her own songs firstly, but also for lily’s songs, and maybe even others within the company. outside of bc remains to be seen. she’s been really inspired over the years by a lot of the dancers and choreographers that she’s worked with, even from before entering bc, and she’d like to inspire someone else some day too! and modeling ... i can’t lie, minhee just likes looking pretty and getting free stuff, so she’d like to do some more of that.
as for her personal life ... messy as hell! she still really wants to find love but still only goes looking for it with fuckboys. she wants to get closer with her dad and her extended family, but is finding it difficult to pull off while also keeping her mother at arm’s length. she also can’t help antagonising her mother because she’s a dumb brat. i don’t think minhee realises it yet, but she’s slowly coming to a place of self acceptance too. when she does realise it, i think that’s something that will really motivate her to be the best she can be.
what is one conflict, internal or external, that your muse is currently dealing with, has recently dealt with, or will need to deal with in the future? word count: 262.
i’ve talked in depth about minhee’s conflict over her sexuality here, which all still holds true, but i want to take this opportunity to talk about something else very close to my heart concerning minhee that i’ve mentioned once or twice in passing but never explicitly. minhee is autistic. she just doesn’t know it yet. some fun mun trivia is that i’m autistic! but, as is typical for a lot of afab people, i was basically an adult by the time it was diagnosed. you might say, hey sucy, stop projecting on your muses, but i say no! write what you know and all that. it’s kind of ironic though, because not even i realised minhee could very well be autistic until i’d written her for two years, and deciding took me another. and now she has to go through the diagnostic process again in character, smh me. anyways, yeah, minhee is probably going to have it suggested to her pretty soon while seeking some help for her anxiety about aging, and after that she’s gonna have to recontextualise her whole life because it’s truly like a lightbulb moment for a lot of people, myself included. suddenly everything that was weird to you growing up makes sense. it’s kind of a lot to wrap your head around, and would be for anyone, so writing about that for minhee is going to be interesting. i mentioned above that she’s been kind of moving towards self acceptance anyways, and i think this will be a very big turning point for her on that journey.
if your muse has established career claims, what are their thoughts on their career so far? if they do not, how do they feel about not having individual activities yet? what would they like to do in the future, if anything? if they don’t have ambitions for individual activities, explain why. word count: 277.
she does! her individual activities consist of modeling jobs and a couple of variety show cast positions, because i felt that these were the avenues she would’ve been pushed down up until more recently in her career, when her interest in choreographing for herself would’ve really taken off. minhee has really enjoyed her career so far. she feels settled within the entertainment industry, and that type of security is so sexy to her. the less chance that her mother can say i told you so the better.it’s kind of a big difference for her in terms of character actually, but this incarnation of minhee likes being on variety shows! she’s actually confident appearing on them! this is because of the difference in concept between lily and lipstick. lipstick’s minnie’s confidence took a long time to build up. lily’s minnie’s didn’t. she’d like to be on more variety shows in the future, especially something competition based, like dancing with the stars ... or masterchef, for a laugh, because she’d be the first person eliminated. and then, there’s the modeling. as mentioned a couple of questions ago, it’s something she wants to focus pretty tightly on going forward. her favourite brand that she’s been the ambassador for so far is crocs. she loves her crocs. she has, like, five different colours. crocs, please sign minhee again. working with etude house and kloud was pretty cool too though. sometimes she’s still able to swing free beers when she goes out. so, going forward, she wants to continue with those types of gigs, as well as pursuing more solo music and developing her skills as a choreographer, like i mentioned earlier!
#famedrstask1#yes i did this instead of getting dowoon's intro ready!!! but ... now i'll go do that please love my silly middle child's changelog!!#yep . minhee's now the middle child of my kids that's crazy

Moonlight Melody - chapter 2
Word Count: 4,758 previous chapter, next chapter
Moonlight Melody masterlist.
semi-proofread. anyways, the second chapter introduces Irene (Joohyun)’s and her relationship with Park Bogum as well indirectly meeting Jessica and then applying to get her revenge through a site. happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~
"Ma, you have to make sure to take your medication, okay?"
Joohyun reminded her mother, Jiwoo, as they waited for the bus to arrive after visiting the hospital for Jiwoo's weekly check-up.
"Dr. Nam said you have to watch your stress level. You're not getting any younger."
"Psh. Stop fussing about me."
Her mother dismissed with a nonchalant manner while shooting her daughter a look.
"You should be worrying about yourself. You should be married by now with grandchildren for me to care for."
"Ma."
Joohyun knew where this conversation was headed while taking her mother's arm and leading her onto the bus as it arrived.
"Bogum and I haven't even talked about marriage let alone having children, Ma."
She helped her mother settled into a seat before taking the one next to her.
"If it happens, then it happens."
Jiwoo made a face upon hearing her daughter's words.
"You and Bogum have been dating for ten years, but nothing. Is he even serious?"
Joohyun remained calm while patting her mother's hand.
"First of all, it's six years, not ten, but don't worry, Ma. I'm sure the day will come soon. Just you wait."
Joohyun recalled seeing a tiny black velvet box in the backseat of her boyfriend's car the other day when he had picked her up for work that morning. She glanced at her mother who still seemed reluctant to believe her daughter
"Soon, Ma. Just be patient a little longer."
~~~~~~~~~
Later that night Joohyun readied herself to celebrate hers and Bogum's sixth year anniversary. She wore a very stylish white top over black skinny jeans, and cute black and white Converse heels to match. Joohyun believed tonight would be the night where her long-awaited vision of marriage would come true. At first thought she was too average and maybe weird for someone like Bogum, but their time together over the course of six years had changed her view of that. Or so she believed.
Upon arriving at the high-end restaurant, Joohyun couldn't believe her eyes due to the fact that they were at the Skylight Terrance where it took months or even a year to even make a reservation. The anticipation of what tonight may lead to had her heart thumped rapidly against her chest as she was overcome with anxiousness and silent excitement. Joohyun tried to remain tranquil as possible as she didn't want to get a head of herself now and possibly ruin what could be one of the greatest moment of her life.
The evening went wonderfully and beyond Joohyun's expectations of it. Bogum was charming, attentive, and complimented his girlfriend here and there with lots of small kisses to her knuckles every so often. She was a cute mess and she nearly forgot about the whole proposal until their date was coming to an end. Unfortunately, nothing happened of what Joohyun assumed was going to occur that night. No special dessert, candlelight mood, or musicians playing a special song. No Bogum getting up from his seat to kneel on one knee in front of Joohyun ready to propose to her and spend the rest of his life with her.
There was no tiny black velvet box presented in Joohyun's sight to gasp at the item inside. Instead, she was sent home with a quick kiss to the lips, and left feeling like it was just like any other date that they had in the past. Bogum didn't even mentioned their anniversary. She hoped that he would say something as she was the one that normally said stuff concerning their status and the likes. Joohyun felt that in every romantic expectation, the guy would take the lead and that night it made her realized that her boyfriend of six years had never done such things in their relationship.
Of course Bogum showed her that he care when others were around and doing this and that whenever she invited him over to visit her mother. Then again she realized that she had never met his parents yet or that the topic itself wasn't ever brought up. Joohyun shook the thoughts away while letting out a slow breath as she entered her house and up the stairs to her room in a quiet manner. Almost like she was on auto-pilot, Joohyun went about her nightly routine like normal as if nothing affected her.
While settling into her comfy bed with the covers pulled close to her chin was when her mind started thinking. Joohyun soon wondered if she was just overthinking everything and maybe had missed the times when Bogum was quite romantic and cared for her in those aspect without others around. When it was just the two of them he was as affectionate as to when it wasn't just the two of them. She couldn't quite recall clearly, but still the inkling feeling of what she maybe have suspected all of this time was now edging itself to the front of her mind. A lonely feeling settled around her.
Not wanting the loneliness to creep upon her Joohyun got out of bed while taking a small blanket, earbuds, and her phone as she headed out to the balcony connected to her room. Settling herself upon the chair she had set up long ago with the blanket wrapped tightly around her Joohyun plugged in the earphones and let the music consumed her. If she could separate those parts of her from her real self, then maybe reality wouldn't hurt so much in the end. Still though deep within her Joohyun knew that you could only keep the reality away for so long before reaching your breaking point.
~~~~~~~~~~
It was a late sunny Tuesday afternoon and Jessica was photographing for the brand, MOLDIR, in the company's courtyard, but wasn't feeling the model despite the excitement coming from the company's secretary and the model's friends to the dismay of Jessica. Her friend and boss, Tiffany, accompanied Jessica to play peacemaker for the company's sake. The annoyance continued when the model's friends kept joining the photoshoot which irked Jessica even more after telling them she just needed the model. When it happened for the nth time that day and within the hour since they started, Tiffany intervened knowing Jessica was about to call off the shoot any second now.
"Let's take a break." Tiffany suggested while stepping in front of Jessica. "We'll try this again in fifteen minutes."
Jessica quickly put down her camera with a relieved look while the said model, Hyeri Lee, went to fix her hair and makeup along with her gaggle of friends. The secretary turned out to be Bogum stepped up to Jessica with an eager look.
"So what do you think, Ms. Jung? Hyeri's wonderful, isn't she?"
Jessica hid her facial features by wearing a face mask that conceal the lower half of her face. This was mainly to obscure the way she wanted to feel in front of the client so that they didn't see her true feelings. Jessica feigned a polite smile to reach her eyes that didn't appear like she was gonna throttle the model and her buddies.
"Yeah, totally." She curtly replied as nicely as possible.
"Wonderful. I'm thrilled of the turnout." Bogum exclaimed happily. "To be photographed by the one and only Jessica Jung of Twinkle Memos."
"Yeah, totally."
Bogum didn't catch the sarcasm in Jessica's tone this time around as he turned to Tiffany.
"I'll check up on Hyeri first, Ms. Hwang, and then we can sort out the rest."
Bogum rushed off leaving the two women behind with eager steps. Jessica rubbed her temples to ease the tension as she shook her head with a tsked before going through the photos. She let out another tsked indicating that she was seriously not satisfied with any of the images she had taken. Tiffany noticed her friend's frowning face.
"What's wrong?" Tiffany cooed as she lightly shoulder bumped her friend to pick up Jessica's mood.
"Nothing." Jessica simply replied.
"Yes there is."
"There isn't."
"I know there's something or someone wrong."
Jessica didn't respond and Tiffany cast her a knowing look.
"You're not happy with the turnout and it's either because of the setting or the model."
Tiffany leaned closer to Jessica so it was only heard among the two of them.
"I'm gonna go with the model and her giggling friends."
"Oh, god, yes. She's not working for me and neither are her annoying ass friends that take this like it's some personal photoshoot or something. Besides, why can't she just hold and wear the items for a solid minute without changing positions every five seconds."
"You do know she's a rich man's daughter, right?"
"So?"
"She's rich. Like super deep money rich."
"I still wouldn't care as she's not the one paying me. Her father or mother could be super rich, but it's not her money. Anyways, the real thing is that if she doesn't work for me then it just not going to work out at all. Neither are her friends either. They're just as bad as she is."
"Yes, I know."
"Do I look like a social media clout photographer to you?"
"A social media photographer, yes. Clout photographer, no."
"Exactly. Also, this isn't her accessory line or company. The creator of MOLDIR is the one that requested me, not her."
"Yes, I know. Besides, you have the say of what photos are kept and are deleted for the finishing results."
"True, but shit. I wish the others could have taken this one instead."
"I could try to see if Sunny is free."
Jessica brushed it off with a shake of her head.
"Nah, I should be fine as long as she gets her shit together or it's just not gonna work out at all."
Tiffany glanced at her friend with a weird face.
"What?" Jessica inquired as she debated on deleting the photos or not after seeing her friend's hesitation.
"Well, you're gonna have to play nice because I think Ms. Lee is Mr. Park's girlfriend or at least it seems like it."
Jessica groaned.
"If that's real Tiffany, then that's even worst because he really has no interest in the integrity of the product or the company, but of his own personal interest isntead. Honestly, I would prefer someone else."
Tiffany patted her friend on the back.
"Well, you're gonna have to deal with it unless there's another way to go about it."
"I guess."
Jessica sighed still upset about her model as her eyes wandered until she caught sight of a person that caught her eye better.
"Ohh, her. I like her. She fits better."
Tiffany's eyes went to where Jessica was looking at and nodded in agreement.
"She's cute. A little plain and slightly above average, but more down to earth. What makes her a better fit than Ms. Lee?"
"Because that woman's aura is way nicer than Ms. Lee and her three friends combine."
~~~~~~~~~
A few days passed and Joohyun hadn't heard from Bogum since their date. She sent him good morning and good night texts, but no response. She was left on read countless of times, but now she was desperate for a response. Bogum also hasn't picked her up for work either and she just resorted in taking the bus like usual as to not pester him about it. Joohyun knew he was a busy man with being a secretary to his boss, but even then he found time to reply to her. Now, it just felt weird and out of place. Like Joohyun couldn't stop feeling that inkling feeling from that night of their date. It looked marvelous and felt wonderful at that moment, but once it was over it just seemed lifeless and lacking any real warmth.
That feeling hadn't faded completely like it usually would, but lingered around longer than she had liked. So Joohyun decided to check up on her boyfriend after work although she's only ever done this a handful of times. The last time she visited him, Bogum wasn't particularly happy about it. She had interrupted him during an important meeting. He had rushed her out of the company as quickly as she had entered. She told herself she wouldn't do it again unless she notified him. Well, today she wouldn't and there was something within Bogum that nagged at her and she just couldn't suppress it. It's been six years, but she felt like everything wasn't as blissful as she had originally thought all of these years.
When Joohyun entered the courtyard she was mesmerized by the absolute beauty of the garden on this beautiful day. She didn't realize that the courtyard of MOLDIR was so lively and colorful this time around as she assumed summer time didn't bloom nicely. It always seemed basic and neutral when she visited the place before. She spotted the colorful variety of gerbera daisies, snapdragons, and alstroemeria along with the lovely hues of peonies and lisianthus mixed in. It was truly a lovely sight for the season. While admiring the flowers on her way to Bogum's office, Joohyun bumped into someone which caused the other person to drop their belonging. Joohyun faced the woman who turned out to be Tiffany and helped Tiffany pick up her item.
"I am so sorry." Joohyun apologized while picking up a very expensive looking bag.
"I'm sorry this is all dirtied now."
"It's fine." Tiffany assured her while holding out the black bag towards Joohyun with a nod of approval.
"Wow, she's right. You do vibe better with this."
"Excuse me?"
"You really complement this product."
"I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I understand what you mean."
Joohyun took a few steps back hoping to not cause a scene like last time.
"How would you like to model for my friend over there with this bag and a few other items?"
Tiffany motioned towards Jessica as Joohyun's eyes wandered over to the partially masked woman who already had her camera placed in front of her face ready to go with the flow. Of course Jessica had taken several images while she was at it, too, and was getting a better vibe with the new so-called model even if Joohyun was unaware of that fact.
"A model?" Joohyun asked surprised with a shake of her head.
"Oh, no, no. I don't think th-"
"Oh, don't be so modest and shy. I think you'll do wonderful. Here."
Tiffany practically shoved the bag in Joohyun's hands while telling her to just look at Jessica and act natural standing amidst the colorful garden. Joohyun believed herself to be honestly anything, but natural. She felt awkward and tried on multiple occasions to return the item, but Tiffany kept shoving it back to her and even exchanging it with another color from time to time. Eventually, Joohyun ended up being maneuvered around the courtyard by Tiffany and had her photos taken here and there within the beautiful surrounding much to her dismay.
Joohyun thought it was just the one bag, but soon enough she found herself holding zip half around wallets, monogram passport cases, and even a few scarves. She was surprised, but eventually she was having fun and actually enjoyed herself without realizing it. Jessica loved it and had snapped so many images in a short amount of time compare to earlier. She even had Tiffany gather some of the flowers to use as props fitting Joohyun. Although it didn't last long, but Joohyun felt much happier and cheerful than she had these past few days. Tiffany immediately handed her a business card shortly afterwards.
"If anything, then please do contact me." Tiffany informed her with a smile and handed Joohyun a tri-color totebag with a gold plate accessory.
"Take this as a gift due to my friend and I for taking up your time."
Joohyun tried to reject the gift.
"Oh, no. I don't think I-"
"I insist."
Tiffany insisted with a reassuring smile.
"Please."
Joohyun reluctantly accepted the tri-colored burgundy-gray-dark gray MOLDIR vivid tote bag that she wasn't aware was not even out yet and of a limited gold plate edition as well.
"Thank you."
"No, thank you, Ms....?"
"Bae. Bae Joohyun."
"Well, thank you so much, Ms. Bae."
"What about your friend?"
Joohyun turned her attention to look for Jessica, but Jessica had already packed her belongings and left.
"Oh, she's gone."
"Yeah, she does that a lot." Tiffany commented with a chuckle.
"Anyways, don't mind her. Do you think I could have your contact information so we can discuss further about some things in legal matters?"
Before Joohyun could provide Tiffany with her information the pair were interrupted by Bogum who hadn't even noticed his girlfriend.
"Ms. Hwang, where is Ms. Jung?"
"She left." Tiffany answered while turning her attention onto him.
"Why would she-," Bogum stopped in mid question upon seeing Joohyun standing there, "What are you doing here?"
"I came to see you." Joohyun explained, but felt like she had came at a bad time once again.
"I don't have time for you right now."
Bogum dismissed her as he focused his attention onto Tiffany.
"Now wh-"
"Bogum." Hyeri called for his attention as she came up to him.
Joohyun noticed how cozy she looked against him and so did Tiffany.
"Ms. Hwang, about Hyeri's photoshoot?"
Bogum focused his attention onto Tiffany and ignored Joohyun.
"Let's talk in your office, Mr. Park."
Tiffany opted believing this would cause less of a confrontation between the whole group and just wanted to get down to business. Tiffany wasn't sure how to tell Bogum that Hyeri was not a perfect fit for Jessica, but that Joohyun was. Luckily, Bogum agreed to talk elsewhere.
"Fine. Let's all go to my office."
Bogum led them to his office, but not before telling Joohyun that he had business to do and that he'll call her later. Joohyun dejectedly watched after them and the heaviness from earlier just grew when she noticed how his arm wrapped around the woman named Hyeri.
~~~~~~~~~
A few more days passed, but Bogum still hadn't called Joohyun like he said he would. By now she had grown anxious and nervous about where they stood in their relationship since that night and that day. The lingering of that void continued to bother her and she made up her mind in confronting her boyfriend. So after work on Saturday, Joohyun went to visit Bogum at his home since she knew he always had Saturdays off. She gave him no notice that she would be coming over and didn't want him to find excuses in not seeing or talking to her.
Joohyun inputted his passcode and let herself inside like she's done countless times before. At first she was going to announce her presence, but she heard music playing softly in the distance as she entered the apartment further. Joohyun quietly walked further inside as her eyes took in the scenery before her. The dinner table was set for two along with two wine glasses half-empty. She spied a familiar looking tiny black velvet case, but it was opened this time and she tentatively made her way towards it with shaky hands.
Joohyun slowly reached out, spun the item around, and spotted an emerald necklace encrusted by smaller diamonds. She slightly bit her lips as her eyes slightly gazed over still not wanting to accept the reality that was unfolding before her. Looking down, Joohyun noticed pieces of clothing leading towards his bedroom. Knowing that this would answer her questions, she still wondered if she should follow it to see it for her own self. Without knowing her legs were already moving on their own and she finally realized the scene before her when she pushed opened the door.
Right then and there Joohyun caught her boyfriend in bed with another woman, but not just any random woman. The same woman from a few days ago. The one that seemed too cozy with Bogum the day she had dropped by to talk to him, but had to talk some business. The realization sunk in as Joohyun knew he was seeing someone else beside her. She was aware of the signs that he was cheating, but she just didn't want to accept it. She didn't want to believe that the love they had for six years would turn out to be like this.
More importantly, Joohyun didn't have the courage to confront Bogum about the issue. Didn't have the strength to confront him when another woman was involved and not wanting to know if she knew he was with her. So Joohyun quietly retreated from the scene and just sat on the sofa in a calm manner and just waited for Bogum and the woman to finish their business. So when her boyfriend emerged from the room with just a pair of boxers he jumped upon seeing Joohyun sitting there in his living room in the same state she had been since placing herself there.
"Um, hi. What are you doing here?"
He asked in a shaky voice already knowing that he had been caught, but tried to remain cool and even turning a bit hostile.
"Why didn't you call? You know how I hate surprises. How long have you been here?"
His eyes shifted towards the bedroom, but returned them onto his girlfriend.
"Why don't you go home and we can talk later, okay?"
"Bogum, I forgive you."
Joohyun suddenly said in a calm tone while looking at Bogum with a smile.
"It's okay, Bogujm. I forgive you for what you've done, but I'm willing to look passed all that so that we can continue our relationship like before."
She smile while standing up and making her way to her boyfriend.
"Wait, what?"
Bogum backed away from Joohyun as she looked at him hurt.
"I said I forgive you."
"Why?" He asked in a harsh tone while pushing her away.
"This is why I did it."
"What do you mean?"
"You're so basic, Sooyoung. So normal and average."
He began to explain while motioning at her whole being despite calling her by the wrong name.
"You have nothing to offer and just do things out of pleasing others and have no something."
He finished lamely not sure what he was trying to explain to her and just pointed at his door.
"Just get out. Sooyoung, we're done."
Joohyun disregarded the fact that he had said her name incorrectly twice.
"Bogum, just give me a ch-"
Bogum interrupted Joohyun by shoving her towards the door as the female tried to stay and talk to him.
"But, Bogum, I love you!"
Joohyun cried out to him while clamping her hold onto his arms despite being forced out of the apartment.
"We've been together for six years. Bogum, listen to me. You can't just throw that away like it meant nothing. You can't throw us away like this!"
Joohyun tried to reasoned with him, but found herself slightly tossed to the other side of his apartment and bumped into the walls of the corridor.
"Just leave, Sooyoung."
Bogum told her with an apathetic look as the reality reminded that he again called her by the wrong name.
"You're causing a scene. Don't message or call me anymore. We're through."
He closed the door on her as Joohyun flung herself against the door in a desperate plea. "Bogum! Please!"
Joohyun tried to input the passcode, but she was denied. She tried again, but it didn't unlock. She tried again several more times, but it didn't work anymore. She cried harder as she slid against the door while softly knocking on the door for Bogum to open it until she eventually collapsed to the floor. A few minutes later Joohyun slowly picked herself up while using the door and walls to keep her balance as her now ex-boyfriend still ignored her. Not sure what to do from here on out, Joohyun almost in a trance-like state and operating on auto-pilot, she just started moving her legs to wherever it led her.
She found herself on the streets of his complex and not in the mood to return home or be comforted by her mother so she began walking around aimlessly into the cool summer evening. Joohyun couldn't remember for how long she walked or where she was headed, but it soon turned dark and she snapped back to reality when a car honked at her. Joohyun looked left and right of her and wondered where she was. She rubbed her arms to keep warm as the night air turned chilly than normal. Joohyun sigh while walking to find some sort of shelter. While walking her eyes noticed she was by the seaside, assumed it the air was due to that, and headed down to the shore as the moon was glowing brightly.
It's light reflected upon the water causing fresh tears to form and Joohyun cried her wounded heart out once again. Her knees sank into the sand while her tears mixed with it along with the water from the shore. All types of thoughts rushed through her mind as she couldn't think as to why this had to happen to her. Six years they've been together. Six years of her devoting her time and herself to a man that betrayed in the end. Six years of a love she thought was true. Her eyes glared at towards the moon. Even though she wasn't normally like this, but something within her had awaken this side of her and she couldn't help but let it overtake her.
"My name is JOOHYUN! Not SOOYOUNG! BAE JOOHYUN!"
She screamed loud and long until her voice became hoarse. Her sad tears were soon replaced by angry tears as she thrash sand all around her to let out her frustration since her voice had already done it's part. While doing so, the only thought to form in Joohyun's head was getting revenge on her ex-boyfriend for treating her this way when she had been faithful and good to him throughout their relationship. Touching the small necklace she was currently wearing, Joohyun instantly ripped it off and flung it towards the gleaming ocean as it was something that Bogum had given her in the beginning of their relationship.
She wanted nothing to remind her of their good times. All she wanted was to be reminded of the most was how he had just treated her earlier and that she was now nothing to him. So she wanted him to be nothing without her. After that thought processed in her head her eyes returned to look at the glowing moon with an indifferent look as a soft sound played within the distance. For a second she thought she saw a face of an elderly man within it, but shook her head and blinked a few times before looking at the moon again. There was no male's face upon it and the sound from before faded away.
A second later Joohyun's phone notified her that she had just received a text message. Sighing, she tiredly pulled the device from out of her bag. When the screen lit up she happened to see a notification pop-up with an animated mini grim reaper holding a scythe icon in the corner which was moving its scythe up and down with the words, 'Get your wish to come true. Click on the link below to be directed' flashing in red font. No longer caring about anything at this point or how something like this could appeared out of the blue with how she was feeling. To Joohyun, it just felt like fate was in her hands this time around and so she instantly pressed the link as it re-directed her to a website she never ever heard of before.
"Welcome to Reaper Correspondence."
Joohyun read the name of the site out loud in a coarse voice. She coughed a few times to ease her throat so she could read the rest. Before she could fully access the site further and read all about it, another pop-up window suddenly appeared with the same animated mini grim reaper to inform her to make a user account if she wanted to continue to browse the rest of the site. She shrugged as she did so and in an instant once she created her username, pinkbaechu. Once the handle was made did the site re-direct her a moment later and she saw the words, 'ACCESS GRANTED' in bold red lettering.

lemon coke,
only lee donghyuk could turn a failed blind date into something more.
blind date au, fluffyish // 1.94 k words
author’s note: working on like four 3/4 done drafts, one mark, doyoung one and one renjun! they will be longer ones so i will not be that active until i finish one of them. i am not that satisfied with this one, but when am i ever happy with anything i write. ;;; the ending was a bit ehh.. because i don’t know how to end things. but please enjoy it though < 3
p.s i love ryu jun yeol! (THIS WAS A PSA. THANK YOU)
pathetic.
the single word clouded your once happy thoughts as you sat at a restaurant table alone. the noise of the light chatter and the clicking of plates had faded into silence as your attention was now on a staring match with the glass of water in front of you. surely you wouldn't win it, but trying to not let the tears that were welling up in your eyes to leak on your cheek was something you were forcing yourself to win. your grip on the glass tightened as a single tear rolled down your cheek, betraying you in the process. with a shaking hand, you wiped the wetness off your face.
your friends said it would be fun. sending you on a blind date with a guy would finally get you away from your room and away from your laptop for once to socialize because apparently, you didn't get enough of that at school. you, of course, being the proud single "i am married to my studies" type of a person did not fully agree to this, but you still had a bit of excitement inside. your friends all had significant others already and you were edging the age of nineteen with a tracklist of no boyfriends and no first kiss. although academics were always first in your mind, years of reading romance novels and k-drama had spurt some type of feeling of loneliness within you.
so you agreed to this setup. his name was junsu or something of the sort. your friends had excitedly explained to you how good looking he was and that he was perfect for you, something you doubted. no one could ever replace ryu jun yeol in your heart, even if he was dating hyeri. nevertheless, you arrived five minutes early to the restaurant, your eyes darting around the restaurant for someone who looked like the description that your friend gave you.
your ounce of excitement was shattered as one minute of waiting turned to two to five to ten to twenty. every passing person was just another disappointment that walked by. you could feel their eyes as they glanced from the empty seat across from you to you, pity clouding their eyes. too embarrassed to leave the restaurant without ordering anything, you decided to save whatever sliver of reputation you had left by just sitting and waiting.
"if you are going to hold that glass any harder, you might break it miss." a familiar voice from in front you rang out in a joking manner, yet you couldn't place a name on the voice. his tongue clicked against his teeth as he slid into the empty seat across from you. he grabbed the glass out of your hand, placing it just out of your reach. you, not expecting him to sit down, just stared at him wide-eyed as he adjusted himself and his stuff on the chair.
"you are my blind date, right?" he placed his elbows on the table and his face on his hands, gazing at you expectingly.
"i.. you..i." you could only stutter out in shock as it finally clicked in your brain who he was. lee donghyuk or as most people knew as haechan. the mischievous troublemaker of his friend group called dreamies, one of the popular friend group in your college. everyone seemed to love him, male and female species alike. even professors doted on the boy that always had a twinkle in his eyes. you had never interacted with him, him being a completely different major than you and the major building positioned almost the opposite side of campus. you had heard some here-say about him, but that was about it. never did you expect that donghyuk was on a blind date too. never did you expect donghyuk to be here with you.
"sorry that i was a bit late. mark was hassling me about cleaning my room." he muttered something under his breath before he smiling at you, the edges of his lips turning upwards. "i will make it up to you, i promise!"
you didn't reply back to his comment though. a single thought clouded your mind, distracting you from answering. his smile was so pretty. even though you had never met junsu, you bet that his looks would cower in the presence of donghyuk. as your brain registered this thought, you instantly cursed yourself for having such foolish thoughts. as if that would matter anyway. a red tingle slowly grew on your cheeks, embarrassment heating up your face. luckily, it didn't seem that donghyuk noticed as he was too busy fidgeting with his fingers.
silence fell upon the table as you stayed quiet stirring your straw in your glass of water and he awkwardly adjusted his tie from one side to the other, only the clicking of the ice cubes against glass could be heard. donghyuk would frequently look up at you, grazing your face. you, feeling his gaze would look up and meet his eyes, only to quickly lower your eyes back to stare at your glass once again.
a waiter, not noticing the awkward atmosphere, almost skipped to the table. the smile on his face seemed permanently plastered on his face to the point that it seemed too rehearsed.
"good evening. what would you like to drink on this lovely night?" the waiter's sickeningly sweet voice rang out.
"lemon coke." your response made haechan's nervous expression turn into one of pure confusion as he stared at you, surprised at your choice of drink.
"cherry coke." haechan affirmed, crossing his arms. you raised an eyebrow at him, still perplexed by his sudden change of attitude.
"you do realize that lemon coke is one of the worst coke flavor ever." the tone of his voice was the most serious that you had ever heard him, but by the slight sparkle in his eyes, you knew he was just teasing you. the awkward atmosphere of the table dropped immediately as the single statement dissolved the once quiet table. light bickering ensued due to the random topic, causing you to giggle out loud. his eyes widened at the sound of your laugh.
"hey! i finally made you laugh."
" no, it was because of the drink. you aren't funny at all, cherry coke boy."
this bickering continued as the dishes were served and, sarcastic remarks were exchanged after each bite full of food. question after question was exchanged as topics from favorite color to if it was okay to chew yogurt filled the conversation. the memories of the disappointing blind date quickly faded from your head.
only donghyuk remained in your mind.
the walk from the restaurant back to your respective places was silent. each one of you just minding your own, your shoulders and hand occasionally brushing against each other. it was a comforting silence, though. you took deep inhales of cold night air in, letting the cold air settle into your system. a heavy warmness on your shoulder made you turn your head to the side as donghyuk slipped his jacket onto your shoulders. you could only merely smile at him, avoiding his gaze.
"i never had a blind date." donghyuk remarked curtly, his sentence cut through the comfortable silence of the night. he must have seen the confusion cloud your eyes as he continued quickly, not leaving you any time to respond. "i am interested in you."
you whipped your head away from him. your eyes now finding the cracked sidewalk below more interesting than ever before.
"no in that way.. yet at least. " a red tint blossomed on his cheeks as he waved his hands frantically to deny what most would assume the phrase had meant.
"you always sit in the corner of the library.. near the history section with your duck pencil bag. my friends would go there and i would always see you. i.." he stuttered. it was a sight that only a handful of people could ever see. donghyuk at a lost for words. "i would wonder what you were doing there everyday. yeah. that."
he inhaled deeply, letting out a shaky exhale before continuing.
"i saw you at the restaurant." his voice now trembling slightly, a habit you picked up on that only happened when he was nervous. "and you looked lonely and thought.... it would be a great opportunity to finally meet you."
you hummed a response that was a mixture of not knowing what to say and also not needing to say anything. your expression was have been of disbelief and confusion, one donghyuk couldn't read. the rest of the walk was once again silent. a contrast to the noise of thoughts in your brain. donghyuk would nervously dart his eyes from the sidewalk to your face and back, not again meeting your stare. no words were exchanged, only hidden stares and filled hearts.
"i am glad you came." your comment made him perk up from whatever state he was in. the once nervous expression dissolved from his face. his lips lifted once again to display that smile that you came to love. you hoped that he would be able to show it more to you in the future.
the closer you got to your house, the heavier the saddening feeling grew in your chest. it was inevitable. school was tomorrow and, you would be off, back to your own lives. only if your house was a bit farther away from the restaurant, maybe you would have had more time.
he led you up the steps to your house and up to the door before facing you. his arms were back behind his back and, the pre-dinner awkwardness had once again set in.
"we should do this again."
"definitely." his face seemed to almost glow as he tucked his hands back in his pocket.
"bye, cherry coke boy."
"bye, lemon coke girl."
he turned away, giving you one last wave as you watched his figure disappear into the shadows.
the memories of date seemed to replay in your mind as you walked through campus, ignoring your surroundings as the noise of the crowds seemed to silence by your own thoughts. two weeks later and you hadn't had any contact with him, not even a sight of him on campus. it was a nice memory that you would cherish for a long time, but next to that, that was it. but yet, you kept your head down just in case there was a chance that he was around. even the thought of him made your heart beat a little faster than it usually did.
you knew nothing of your relationship with donghyuk had changed. he would be laughing away with his friends, while you would be in the corners of the library, tucked away in your book. but something did change. he was no longer was an afterthought or a whisper in the wind.
your route to your lecture room was stopped by a pair of shoes. looking up at the figure, you heart dropped a bit at the sight of a person who wasn't donghyuk.
it was jaemin, one of donghyuk's friends.
"there you are."
a look of confusion was cast over your face. he pushing a familiar looking bottle in your hand with a knowing smile on his face. sprinting off before you could ask him what that was all about, you could only watch his figure dissolve into the crowd of people that littered the hallway. you turned the slightly wet glass bottle around to see a post-it note, tapped to it.
"to my lemon coke girl. cherry coke is still better."
only cherry coke boy.
you smiled.

Soribada- I Luv Her (Lesbian themes; guy has dreads though; also slightly nsfw)
Girls Day- Female President (teased kiss between Minah and Hyeri)
10cm- Help (Gay couple; implied internalized homophobia; implied homophobia; also the mv is very bittersweet)
Heechul and Kyunghoon- Sweet Dreams (Gay themes; be warned this mv is a joke)
Seventeen- My I (the dance is gay don’t fight me on this)
VIXX LR- Whisper (Red string of fate between them)
Sleeq- Liquor (Its a bit ambiguous but I’m 90% sure it has a lesbian couple)
Yves- New (Lesbian themes)
Chuu- Heart Attack (Lesbian themes)
Gowon- One And Only (Lesbian themes)
Spica- Tonight (Under most circumstances, I’d put this under possible, but if you watch this and don’t see lesbian themes you gotta be straight)

Alphabat- Get Your Luv (slight gay themes)
Infinite- The Eye (slight gay themes)

Sistar- I Like That (Again; it’s probably not gay but the last part of the video looks gay)
SONGS WITH LGBT+ LYRICS
Orange Caramel- Catallena (has an MV, but there is no LGBT themes in that; the song is about a girl)
IU- Peach (written about Sulli)
IU- Red Queen (again, written about Sulli)
BTS- Cypher pt 3 (Suga has line which includes 'whether guy or girl')

Melody Day- Magic Castle (Lyrics use the term 'princess' for the subject)
Jungkook & Rapmon- I Know (lyrics talk to both a boy and a girl)

14, 24 & 27: Producer S.O.S. (Woozi)
“When someone loves you, the way they talk about you is different. You feel safe and comfortable.” ― Jess C. Scott, The Intern
Words: 2496
Somebody help me from this 2k+ curse. I need to chill hahahahah
I am back with another Woozi scenario, this time with a cute fluff requested by @milkteafairy-hyeri! Well I need to be honest here, you guys need to feed me fluff and stuff because I want to make better fluffs hahahaha anyway I hope you guys will like this! Enough tears for today and let's fall for the music fairy!
Seventeen's dorm was at a very peaceful moment, wherein the boys sat in the middle of the living room and had their time, playing Uno cards and dunking cookies in their glasses of milk. The deeds for the day were done, and everyone was supposed to be taking a nap or strumming a string or two, leaving Woozi to compose. But Dino had other plans as he carried cards and board games on his hands. Soon, everyone was immersed in their small get-together, completely forgetting that their music fairy was locked in his own musical wonderland.
As Vernon and Seungcheol struggled to fight for their last cards, a knock on the door was heard throughout the room, startling the others who checked some videos online. A cold wind passed every member and no one was willing to get up and check whoever it was. Seungkwan then brushed the dust off of his bottom and strolled casually to the door.
The door creaked open, but their eyes were fixed on their winning cards and cellphones. Vernon had a taunting grin at the leader, who was wearing his triumphant smirk as well. Seungcheol kept a glare on his opponent as his dimples appeared on the side. "Hey Seungkwan, who is it?"
"Woo."
"Woo? Who? Spill it Kwan."
Woo."
"Woono!" Vernon smashed his card on the top of the pile as laughter escaped his lips, and out of the blue, a body fell on the floor with a heavy thump. Seungcheol rose to his seat as quickly as he could, only to see Seungkwan lying there with closed eyes and Woozi who had a sullen look on his face, painfully pale and weak. His lips were chapped, shoulders scrunched over and he resembled a possessed gnome rather than a fairy.
Their eyes were huge, almost to fall as the stressed man walked to where the kitchen was. Heads turned while his fingers took a hold on a banana and a bottle of coffee, forgetting the fact that he was the center of attraction for his co-members. And when Woozi turned his sight to them, he saw gaping mouths here and there.
The bottle popped open and he took a quick sip on it, amused at what he was seeing. "How long are you guys going to stare at me like a prized possession?"
"Hyung are you okay? You look-" Dino thought carefully of the words he was about to say, not wanting to get a hit from his hyung. But the gag trio was merciless and everyone prayed for their souls as they committed their crimes.
"-like you woke up from the dead?" Seungkwan muttered while being fanned by Jun.
Seokmin, who was sitting at the corner, raised his hand with his signature smiling eyes "-like he was mugged by a bunch of gangsters on the street?"
"Like a baby who had his candy taken?" Hoshi said with a tiny wag on his tail, innocently tilting his head. A pair of dog ears seemed to appear on his head. Everyone anticipated for the fairy to break the bottle into bits and send the three to hell, but Woozi just blinked and turned his attention back to his moment, sipping the coffee again and giving off a satisfactory sigh.
"Aren't you going to hit these three?" Wonwoo spoke while adjusting his specs on the tip of his nose.
"Why should I?"
Now they were perplexed. Woozi was not really doing well. Mingyu stood up and walked to confront him without any hesitation, his fingers pointed at the culprits who were already on their knees with shocked expressions. "Hey, you always chase them with your hands when they tease you!"
"Hey Cheol."
"Yeah?" His shoulders were tense as he heard his name coming from Woozi's mouth and they could all see goosebumps on his skin, the color fading from his cheeks. Seungcheol was motionless and frozen, almost resembling a block of ice. Woozi strolled in front the door while carrying his piece of banana and twisted the doorknob, exposing the small cave where he will be spending his time again, away from the world. They were all on the edge as they waited for him to respond.
"I need you to make some lines on a certain part of the song. I'll send you a copy of it on your email," and with that, the door shut with a minimal bang, the boys left with nothing but worry, not for their lives but for their composer. Woozi was in a bad condition, even if he'd say he was okay for the millionth time, the boys knew better.
"Kids, our music fairy is facing a crisis. We must do something," Joshua faced the team as they tried of thinking ways on how they could help. They knew they could do nothing. Unless they had to involve someone who knew how to press his buttons.
"How about... Her?" Jun said, smirks appearing on their cheeks as they remembered that your presence alone could do a lot for him. "For once can you guys stop smiling?"
"I can't believe that Woozi is in a relationship," Minghao sighed beside him.
The team heard a tsk from Jun. "Relationships are for nerds."
"At least nerds fall in love. How about you?" Oohs and ahhs were heard at every corner of the room and they saw how the two bowed at each other with respect.
"Who's going to call her?" A yawn escaped Minghao's mouth as he spoke, tugging their heartstrings for a second. Jeonghan's hand slid inside his pocket and fiddled with the phone. Scrolling up and down, he saw your name in his contacts and pressed call on the screen.
You clasped the USB between your hands, realizing that the whole song was finally complete. The desktop awed at your presence while you leaned back on your chair, sighing with a winning grin imprinted on your face. And as you reviewed the lyrics of the newly-composed song, a blush blossomed on your cheeks, remembering that your boyfriend was your inspiration to compose it from the start. Then the door swung open, the maknae of your team holding your ringing phone and almost throwing it square on your face.
"Someone's trying to reach you for a while now. And please don't forget to bring your phone with you always!" She exclaimed and shut the door with a sturdy bang as you focused on the thought that someone will be receiving a sermon after the call.
You glanced at the screen, only to see Jeonghan's precious selfie. You swiped answer and settled it on your ear. "Yo Jeonghanie?"
"Hey Y/N! I think we have an emergency?"
"Emergency? What do you mean?"
"Woozi looks like he-"
"Rose from the dead-" Seungkwan's booming voice echoed in your ear and you had to distance yourself from the phone. A fist will be meeting a prince-like face later.
"I'm trying to talk here," you heard a sassy tone on Jeonghan's voice and you could almost see him roll his eyes to the child. "Anyway, he looked very sickly and tired, so we thought that maybe you could pay him a visit tonight."
You let your legs hang on the side of your chair as you leaned further back. Your tilted head stared at the ceiling while the USB twirled on your fingers. "Tonight? Isn't he busy? Like shouldn't he be composing for the next album?"
"Well he is, but you know, he's dealing with too much stress and the boys only know that you're his stress reliever."
"You flatter me too much Jeonghanie."
"We really want to help him, but we need you to do so. Will you come for your boyfriend's sake?" Jeonghan held his breath, waiting for your reply with the boys crowding beside him. You giggled a little as your eyes fell on the folder full of finished compositions in your desktop. A smile curved on your face while walking in front of the closet.
"Okay then, I'll be there shortly," you said as you ended the call and grabbed a beloved hoodie and track pants, settling the black mask on your face and dialled for takeouts.
The dorm was still in a state of shock as they waited on their seats, hearing the ticking of the clock on the wall. Sweat trickled on their foreheads and their eyes shifted here and there. Woozi's door had a dark aura and nobody dared to come closer to it. But when they heard a knock on the front door, the boys welcomed you, jumping on their feet as they felt their anxiety fade away. You were finally there with 6 steaming boxes of chicken and bottles of soda in your plastic bags.
"Where is my perfect-except-for-his-height boyfriend?" You spoke while the young ones took the bags from your hands and placed it all on the coffee table. The boys seemed to push you somewhere, not even offering you a seat or coffee.
"He's in his hideout," Joshua said with a grin, pointing his fingers to the door.
"You mean his studio?"
"Well yeah," he stopped on his tracks and knocked on the door three times. You lifted an eyebrow when you saw him take a step back and crashed himself with the others. They looked like scared puppies, tucking their tails under them. "Good luck Y/N. Please make him better!"
"Who's there? Come in," Woozi replied as he heard someone knocking. The right earphone fell to his chest, but he was too busy on merging layers and fixing some tunes, fingers cramping on the process. He didn't even take the moment to see you enter his silent haven.
"I just finished composing a song Mister Lee, would you like to hear it?" His head turned at your direction, fixated on the little smile you had. He felt his heart work on the caffeine earlier and the redness came back on his lips and cheeks. With just your presence, you had cured your beloved boyfriend. "Hello my sweetest Woozi!"
He removed the earphone hanging on his ear and fixed in on his table, saving his piece before anything happens to the computer. "Hey Y/N! What brings your here? Weren't you supposed to be in your own studio?"
"You don't want me here?"
"What? No no, it's not that. I'm just really happy to see you. You're like a cure or something," he immediately turned his back to you and blushed in front of the desktop. "Anyway, I thought you were going to finish the tracks for your groups's album."
"Well I already did, plus I wanted to relax with you for a second," you walked to him and startled his brain when you gave him a kiss on the cheek. You sat on the small seat beside him and observed his static expression. "And you, my dearest Woozi, need to relax for the night."
"Okay first, what a sly attack Y/N. You got me. Second, for the night? I could finish the last two songs tonight."
"Just for a night. Don't get so worked up sweetie. The boys are worried for you outside."
"I really can't, I just want to finish this. You can wait for me with them."
He clicked his tongue, making you proceed with plan b. You pouted your lips and tucked your arms to your chest, not letting your eyes meet him. "He doesn't have any time for me. Oh what should I do? Oh my oh my."
"What are you doing? Are you using aegyo on me?"
"He wants me to wait. Oh you know how impatient I am, right mister?" You pointed your fingers to your cheeks, and with that, he sighed with defeat. You knew his only weakness was your aegyo, heck you could even make him kneel with your high-pitched voice and glittering eyes. And now you've won again.
You took your USB from your pocket and inserted it in the CPU, clicking the folder open and pressing play on the song you just finished. The slow music flowed inside the room, along with your co-members' voices, the melody you had made sounded heartfelt and full of emotions.
Woozi closed his eyes, letting himself drown in the song that his girlfriend had made. The two of you were producers of your own groups, and you both knew the joys and pains of producing music. You saw passion that you had in his eyes, and you fell for him and he did so too. You two made a piece only the two of you can sing. A duet meant for the you and Woozi.
He opened his eyes when he heard your soothing voice sing the lyrics, and he couldn't stop the smile forming on his lips. You turned to him, locking your eyes and trying to convey that everything about the music was for him. The beat up to the notes, they were all for Woozi.
The song ended with Woozi pinching your cheeks. A tint of red appeared on your face again, his touch making you feel tingly inside. "You made another masterpiece Y/N, I'm proud of you."
"You were in my mind when I made that. It sounds cheesy, but I'm honest. You were all that I could ever think of at that moment."
"Hey Y/N I'm the guy here stop being the man," you laughed at him while he locked you in his arms. The scent of your hair intoxicated him, dizzying him into a romantic frenzy.
"Can't you tell I'm trying to impress you?"
"Stop impressing me then and let me love you."
"Do you want to eat chicken or not?" the doorknob clicked and Jun's head poked through the small space. He wore a straight look as he saw the two of you being lovey-dovey with each other. "Hey Coups-hyung Woozi and Y/N are doing something here."
Both of you flinched when you heard Seungcheol's roaring voice just outside the door. "Tell them to stop! They're too young! I'm too young to have grandkids!"
"We're not giving you grandkids anyway!" You responded jokingly while standing from your seat. Woozi shut the PC off and followed you, connecting his fingers with you as he went outside the studio for the fifth time today. But it was different now, the light was somehow warm and inviting like the smiles of the others.
"So how was is doctor?" Vernon asked as he gnawed on a chicken wing. You turned to your boyfriend's face, then to him again.
"Bring back Woozi to life is a success!" They cheered with cups on their hands, and Woozi had a confused look on his face. But the night was well, everyone indulged themselves in the meat and chitchat, and Woozi was glad that you were there. But maybe for tonight, just beyond the fizz of the soda and the laughter in the room, he might see you, and realize that he might write a song for you too as well.

Upcoming Horror Movies in November 2020: Theaters, Streaming, and VOD
https://ift.tt/3eSvxiF
New original films have been popping up via streaming and video-on-demand all throughout the reign of the coronavirus. They continue to do so even as many theaters around the country have re-opened and are doing their best to lure customers back. Some titles are trying their luck with physical theaters first before heading online.
While October predictably saw a glut of horror releases during the lead-up to Halloween, November has a decent share of the scary stuff as well. Horror has historically been a reliable genre both at the box office (under normal circumstances) and in the digital space, so it probably makes sense that even in these compromised times, scary movies are still coming at us hard and fast as we approach Thanksgiving and the year-end holiday season.
Below is a round-up of fresh horror releases arriving either at your local multiplex (and we urge you to keep the risks of going to the theater in mind) or right in your living room. As we’ve noted before, even in decidedly unnerving times, scary movies can still be a hell of a lot of fun — and may actually take your mind off the troubles of the world around you.
Blood Vessel
Available On Shudder November 5
1945 and a life raft drifts in the North Atlantic, its occupants the survivors of a torpedoed hospital ship who are running out of hope. The arrival of a German minesweeper which at first appears to be deserted looks like it could be their last chance. This comes from director Justin Dix who made half decent action horror Crawlspace, and at first glance it looks like it might just be a Nazi vampire movie.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
The Dark and the Wicked
Available in theaters, on digital and on demand November 6 (US only)
We caught this — the latest film from writer/director Bryan Bertino (The Strangers) — at the online Fantasia Fest last month, where we once again marveled at Bertino’s ability to craft utterly skin-freezing filmmaking. Siblings Louise (Marin Ireland) and Michael (Michael Abbot Jr.) return to their family’s rural farmhouse to help their mother as their comatose father enters his last days, only to encounter a frightening presence. The atmosphere is thick with dread from start to finish, and the images shocking and nightmarish. This genuinely unsettling watch will also show up on Shudder later in the year.
Saban Films
Mortal
Available in select theaters, on demand and on digital November 6 (Out now in the UK)
Andrè Øvredal (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark) directs this thriller, set in a sleepy Norwegian town where an American backpacker is arrested after witnesses claim that a teenager died after touching him. The backpacker warns a local psychologist that he has supernatural powers and that anyone who gets too close to him dies. The psychologist tries to determine the truth: is the stranger a freak of nature, an angry god or a renegade member of the X-Men? Okay, maybe not the last one, but you get the idea. Øvredal returns to his Norwegian roots for this wintry tale starring Nat Wolff (Hereditary).
IFC Films
Kindred
Available in select theaters, on demand and on digital November 6 (US only)
Kindred is being promoted as the debut feature from commercial director Joe Marcantonio, although we’re not sure if that’s supposed to mean something. In any case, the movie is billed as a psychological thriller in which a mother-to-be named Charlotte (Tamara Lawrance) collapses after hearing that her boyfriend has died and wakes up in his family home, where his mother (Fiona Shaw) and stepbrother (Jack Lowden) apparently have plans for both Charlotte and her baby. The trailer hints that something possibly supernatural may be afoot, and looks atmospheric enough to perhaps be worth a watch.
Dark Star Pictures
Koko-Di, Koko-Da
Available in Virtual Cinemas on November 6 in Los Angeles, New York and other major cities, with VOD to follow (Out now in the UK on BFIplayer)
We last wrote about this spine-chilling, twisted fairy tale back in September when it came out on VOD in the UK, and we’ve been waiting for an official North American release since it was first bumped back in March. This tale of grief-stricken parents tormented by demonic beings in a forested time loop is opening in “virtual cinemas” — you order tickets online and direct a portion of the sale to your favorite local arthouse cinema or indie chain. It sounds like a great way to support the smaller exhibitors who are hurting as badly as the AMCs and Regals of the world. And the movie is thoroughly unnerving.
Universal
Freaky
Out in theaters November 13
Freaky is the latest concoction from Blumhouse Films and writer/director Christopher Landon, who scored a big hit together with Happy Death Day in 2017. That was a mash-up of Groundhog Day and Scream; this one serves up generous portions of Freaky Friday and Halloween. Kathryn Newton plays Millie, a high schooler who finds herself trading bodies with a hulking serial killer called the Butcher (Vince Vaughn). We’ll see if Landon can skillfully bring the laughs and the scares in equal measure, while playing both a soulless murderer and a teenage girl seems like Vaughn’s biggest stretch yet.

Shudder
Lingering
Available on Shudder November 12
Presented as a Shudder Original, Lingering (a.k.a. Hotel Lake) is a South Korean horror film about a young woman who confronts a ghost at the hotel in which her mother committed suicide and where her younger brother is now staying. This is the first feature for director Yoon Eun-kyoung, and based on the trailer it looks like it checks off the boxes for good old creepy K-horror.
Exhibit A Pictures/Shudder
Leap of Faith: William Friedkin on The Exorcist
Available on Shudder on November 19
Some 43 years after its release, there is still so much to say about The Exorcist. And no one has talked about it more than the film’s director William Friedkin. The latter is the subject of Alexandre O. Philippe’s documentary, which explores “the uncharted depths of William Friedkin’s mind’s eye, the nuances of his filmmaking process, and the mysteries of faith and fate that have shaped his life and filmography.” The Exorcist remains our favorite horror film and we never get tired of watching or learning about it, so we’re looking forward to this — as should all students of horror cinema.
RLJE Films
Monstrum
Available on demand and on digital November 17 (US only)
More South Korean fun, this time a monster movie and period piece in which both a plague and a monster are laying waste to a kingdom, with the king bringing his most trusted general out of retirement to get rid of the creature menace at lease. Sounds like a combo of action and monster mayhem with lots of historical flavor, if done right. Woo-sik Choi of Parasite stars along with Hyeri Lee, In-kwon Kim and Myung-Min Kim.
Allen Fraser/Hulu
Run
Available on Hulu November 20 (US only)
The director and writers of the striking 2018 suspense film Searching return with this Hulu original thriller about a young woman named Chloe (newcomer Kiera Allen) who has been raised in total isolation since birth by her mom Diane (the great Sarah Paulson). Chloe finally begins to learn that there is something unnatural about the way she has grown up, and soon discovers the secrets her mother has been keeping from her. Searching was a terrific little thriller, set completely on computer screens and smartphones, so we’re intrigued to see what this filmmaking team has come up with now.
Possessor
November 27 (UK Only)
Brandon Cronenberg’s follow up to 2012’s Antiviral is a sci-fi horror thriller which sees a convert corporation develop tech that allows agents to inhabit other people’s bodies and carry out assassinations. Andrea Riseborough stars as the star operative who finds herself getting lost in one of her quarries, while Jennifer Jason Leigh is her handle. Possessor already played the festival circuit and was scheduled for a UK theatrical release at the end of November until a second lockdown was announced. Now the movie will be released on UK Digital Platforms.
