Chemistry between actors was amazing, but the storyline tho... in KDrama
Kang Sora as Oh Hara and Jung Seungjo as Goo Eun Beom in Strangers Again: the story ruined everything
Tumblr media
Lee Jaewook as Baek Kyung and Kim Hye Yoon as Eun Dan Oh in Extraordinary You:only if Baek Kyung wasn't written as a red flag by the manhwa writer
Tumblr media
Jeon Doyeon as Gil Bok Soon and Koo Kyo hwan as Han Hee Seong in Kill Bok Soon: the storyline was good for a crime thriller but unfortunate for them
Tumblr media
Moon Sangmin as Lee Jihan and Jeon Jong Seo as Na Ah Jung in Wedding Impossible :they get happy ending but the storyline was messy imo
Tumblr media
Lee Jaewook as Han Tae Oh and Choi Hee Jin as Kang Hee Joo in The Impossible Heir : yall know why. Everything in this drama was messed up except the chemistry between these two actors
Tumblr media
Ki Do Hoon as Yangcha and Kim Ji Won as Tanya in Arthdal Chronicles: basically Kim Ji Won has chemistry with everyone she acts alongside
Tumblr media
Lee Jae In as Lee Yoon Seo and Cha Woo Min as Ko Kyung Jun in Night Has Come: honestly I didn't even consider them before I saw all those edits on YT
Tumblr media
Go Youn Jung as Jung Jisoo and Seo In Guk as Kim Seong Hyeop in Death's Game: even the smallest moments between them was enough to establish how beautiful chemistry they had
Tumblr media
Lee Dohyun as Go Chang Myung and IU as Jang Man Wol in Hotel Del Luna: one of the best pairings in a KDrama to exist

So far, I have scanned and translated the SFH scriptbook up until episode 6 (yea I’m going slow, sorry about that 😅😅😅😅) and one thing I have noticed is, Moon Jo and Bok Soon’s relationship is much more tense in the scriptbook. Bok Soon doesn’t miss a single chance to taunt Moon Jo. Like 1 small thing, here and there, and she’ll be like “are you sure you can do stuff ?” The series edited out some scenes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For example, whenever Bok Sook is in his vicinity, Moon Jo’s behavior and body language changes. He either starts reading book loudly (he usually doesn’t. He reads silently most of the time), or he clutches the book harder, clutches the chair harder, things like that. Moon Jo tries hard to mask his annoyance and rage for Bok Soon but he also knows he needs to stay calm.
Tumblr media
If you have read the webtoon Bastard, it’s kinda similar. From my POV, Moon Jo and Bok Soon’s relationship is kinda similar to the relationship of father and son in the webtoon Bastard. Moon Jo’s behavior is quite similar to how the son behaves in that webtoon, except Jin is a teenager, so he’s more aggressive and makes mistakes whereas Moon Jo is adult and probably been through sh*t and seen sh*t. So he’s calm. Or at least, he has learnt to mask well
Tumblr media
I just wish they kept those scenes. I wouldn’t have minded if SFH had 1-2 more episodes to be honest

yesterday I watched Kill Boksoon and let me tell you Gil Jaeyoung is a lesbian girlboss and now I’m in love. She is: ✔️ so unapologetic for being queer (as she should be) ✔️ almost fatally wounded a whiny anchovy who threatened to out her if she did not agree to date him ✔️ lowkey always ready to throw hands (or to stab someone) ✔️ realised her mum is a contract killer and handled it like a pro ✔️ threatened her shitty ex gf in the middle of class as a parting gift with the line I thought about it a lot…should I kiss you right here right now or should I just kill you? (extremely attractive if u ask me) ✔️ on her way to ditching her lame ass school she mocked the guy she had stabbed ✔️ cute as hell

KILL BOKSOON
GENRES: Action
SUMMARY: YOU try dealing with teenager drama during the day and then having to be an assassin at night and see how well you manage.
THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Teenage smooching, casual assassin drinking, tteokbokki, questionable family relationships, samurai swords, sleepy yakuza, spinach banchan, child prodigies, fake passports, prosthetic hands, and duels to the death.
HOT TAKE: I will admit that on average I consume more Korean series than movies, but damn, this movie has great John Wick vibes and it's a great way to spend a few hours with your favorite assassin/mom/banchan shop owner.

“What? Can’t see my next move? Regardless of which of my hands was injured, I won’t let it become my weakness.
-I already know what your weakness is.
Hmm, what is it?
-Me. Gil Bok Soon. But when did it start?”
