Sorry for taking so long is that it also took me a long time to make this fanart of the Quarang ship of Miles Quaritch and Varang together... I hope you like it but remember that if you don't like it I won't bother at all... and I really thought it was adorable the idea of making a fanart in which Varang was tickling Quaritch when it happens that during his lessons so that Miles learns to be a Na'vi and also learns to live in it with the clan and Ash Na'vi including her then it happens that he couldn't concentrate because he constantly thought about his son Spider and that by worrying him made him not pay attention to what then Varang would give him a punishment ticklish him to pay attention to pay attention to his lessons

In addition to the fact that I really like to imagine that shortly after Quaritch left with his Ikran, when his son Spider left with the Sully Quaritch, he decided not to return to the RDA and then left until he arrived at the Ash Clan and then met Varang and after she accepted him into her clan, she will begin to train him herself and during his training, Quaritch learned to use the bow and arrow (like his son Spider) and, although apparently he stumbled, apparently he finally managed to dominate him. But at the same time that it happened, it happened that Quaritch would also begin to fall in love with Varang a lot, they decided that he would become a true Na'vi to be able to be by his side. In the quiet, sterile halls of an RDA facility on Pandora, the hum of machinery reverberated faintly, signaling life within its metal walls. It was here, far from the vibrant wilderness, that Miles Quaritch had led Spider, an unwitting prisoner to his curiosity and twisted sense of control. Spider’s wrists and ankles were strapped to a cold metal table in the center of a small interrogation room. The ominous silence was broken only by the occasional beeping from a console nearby, where Colonel Quaritch stood, his blue-skinned Avatar form towering over the machinery. His eyes glinted with a mixture of amusement and menace as he adjusted the controls, bringing the room’s centerpiece—a strange, multi-armed tickling machine—slowly to life.

The machine was a marvel of RDA engineering, designed not for traditional torture but for what they termed “behavioral compliance.” It had been created to target the sensitive nerves and involuntary reactions in a subject, wearing down their resistance through overwhelming physical sensation. Quaritch had found the device left behind in a dusty storage bay and, intrigued by its unorthodox purpose, had decided to see just how effective it could be. And what better test subject than Spider? The boy had proven stubbornly loyal to the Na’vi, a loyalty that Quaritch was determined to break, if only to prove his power over the kid.

As the machine powered up, Spider eyed Quaritch with defiant suspicion. His breathing was shallow, but he kept his expression as steady as he could manage. “You really think this is gonna make me talk?” he scoffed, trying to mask his apprehension. His tone was brave, but a flicker of doubt betrayed him.

Quaritch chuckled, a low, mocking sound. “Kid, you’ve got no idea what’s coming. Pain’s easy to resist—you know that. But this?” He leaned closer, his expression a mix of amusement and dark intent. “This is something else entirely. Let’s see how long that mouth of yours stays shut.”

With a press of a button, Quaritch activated the machine. Several mechanical arms descended, each tipped with a variety of instruments: soft brushes, feathered attachments, and small, nimble fingers designed to move with precision. The first two arms positioned themselves by Spider’s ribs, the soft bristles twitching slightly in anticipation. Spider’s eyes widened as he felt the gentle touch of the brushes against his sides, a sensation so light and teasing it seemed to mock his helplessness.

As the brushes moved in slow, deliberate circles over his ribs, Spider’s control began to falter. He fought the urge to laugh, biting down on his lip to keep silent. But the sensation was relentless, the tickling arms working in rhythmic motions, intensifying with each passing second. Before long, a reluctant chuckle escaped him, and then another, until he was laughing helplessly, his defiance cracking under the gentle yet maddening assault.

“Haha—stop! Come on—haha—this is ridiculous!” Spider’s laughter echoed through the small room, filling the sterile air with a sound that was both genuine and panicked. The tickling was unlike anything he had ever experienced—no sharp pain or immediate agony, but a slow, creeping sensation that rendered him vulnerable and completely out of control.

Quaritch crossed his arms, watching Spider’s reaction with a smirk. “What’s the matter, kid? Thought you were tougher than this.” He adjusted a dial on the console, and the machine responded by extending two more arms, each tipped with soft, flexible feathers that began gliding over Spider’s stomach and underarms. The sensation doubled, and Spider’s laughter grew louder, his body writhing in a desperate attempt to escape the tormenting touch.

“Please—hahaha—this is torture!” Spider managed to gasp between bursts of laughter. His muscles strained as he twisted against the restraints, but they held him firmly in place. The machine’s tickling arms moved with a precision that seemed almost human, as if it knew exactly where he was most sensitive, targeting his weakest spots with unerring accuracy.

But Quaritch wasn’t satisfied yet. He increased the intensity, adding two more robotic arms that targeted Spider’s knees and the sensitive area around his hips. The brushes swirled in relentless circles, and Spider’s laughter became breathless, each gasp for air punctuated by helpless giggles. His face was flushed, and tears of laughter pricked at the corners of his eyes as the machine continued its unyielding assault.

Quaritch leaned over him, his voice cold yet filled with twisted amusement. “All you have to do is talk, kid. Just give me what I need, and this all stops.”

Spider shook his head, his voice hoarse from laughing. “Never! I—haha—I won’t tell you anything!”

Quaritch narrowed his eyes, a look of irritation flashing across his face. He turned a knob, and the machine responded by intensifying its efforts, the brushes and feathers moving faster, their touch now bordering on maddeningly unbearable. The hands near his ribs began to poke and prod rather than glide, digging just enough to send jolts of ticklish agony through his body. Spider’s laughter grew desperate, each breath catching in his throat as the machine found new ways to exploit his sensitivity.

“Haha—no, please—hahaha—stop! I can’t—” His pleas dissolved into hysterical laughter, his body exhausted from the strain of resisting. The relentless tickling was wearing down his mental defenses, leaving him vulnerable and struggling to hold onto his defiance. Each new touch, each change in rhythm, kept him on edge, preventing him from adapting or dulling the sensation.

Quaritch observed him, his expression cold and calculating. He didn’t necessarily enjoy the boy’s suffering, but he saw it as a means to an end. This was a test, a way to break down Spider’s loyalty to the Na’vi, to show him that resistance was futile. And if a bit of laughter and discomfort could do the job, then so be it.

“Still holding out, huh?” Quaritch mused, raising an eyebrow. “You’re a stubborn kid, I’ll give you that. But everyone has a limit.”

With a flick of his wrist, he activated two more arms, these equipped with soft, vibrating pads that pressed gently against Spider’s underarms and ribs, adding an even deeper layer to the tickling. The vibrations sent shivers through him, amplifying the sensation to a point where his laughter became almost silent, his body shaking as he struggled to breathe through the overwhelming ticklish onslaught.

Tears streamed down Spider’s face as he gasped for air, his voice weak and trembling from the relentless laughter. “I—I can’t—please, stop—” His voice was barely a whisper now, his willpower nearly broken by the unending torment.

Quaritch watched with a hint of satisfaction. He leaned down close to Spider, his voice low and taunting. “Just say the word, kid. Give me what I want, and this all ends.”

Spider took a shuddering breath, his mind racing. He wanted to resist, to hold onto his loyalty to Jake and the Na’vi, but the tickling was breaking him down bit by bit. His body was exhausted, his laughter now reduced to silent gasps as the machine continued its merciless work. But even as his will began to crack, a spark of defiance remained.

With the last of his strength, he managed a breathless, “Never,” his voice weak but resolute.

Quaritch’s expression hardened, his patience clearly wearing thin. “Suit yourself,” he muttered, adjusting the controls one final time. The machine intensified to its maximum setting, each arm moving with renewed vigor as it targeted every ticklish spot on Spider’s body with unrelenting precision. The brushes, feathers, and vibrating pads worked in perfect harmony, leaving no inch of his torso, sides, or legs untouched.

Spider’s laughter became a choked, breathless sound as he surrendered to the overwhelming sensation, his body completely at the mercy of the machine. His mind drifted, his thoughts scattered, until all he knew was the sensation of ticklish agony that consumed him entirely. The room around him faded, his only reality the endless, merciless touch of the tickling machine.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Quaritch signaled the machine to stop. The arms retracted, leaving Spider limp and breathless, his face red and his body drenched in sweat. He lay there, too exhausted to move, his chest rising and falling as he caught his breath.

Quaritch regarded him with a cold smile. “You’re tougher than I thought, kid. But don’t think this is over. I’ve got all the time in the world.”

With that, Quaritch turned and left the room, leaving Spider alone in the silence, the memory of the tickling machine lingering in his mind. The ordeal had tested his limits, but somehow, he’d held on. For now.

I beg you to watch District 9 by Neil Blomkamp (2009)

If you love anything Sci fi and aliens and human-alien interaction then this is something you should have watched or need to immediately!

This movie along with Avatar and INTERSTELLAR have been my favourite for years. ( Also realising The fact that this movie came out in the same year as Avatar 🤯)

In a way it reminds me of the Avatar franchise. The human-alien conflict, evil corporation, human military, xenophobia, physical changes, both movies deal with real world issues, villains on a redemption arc.

The main human character (Wikus van de Merwe).... isn't good. He isn't the big bad villain (no that's the MNU), but he's a person in the system, listens to authority. He definitely is xenophobic, ignorant, and just very irritating. An all round ahole.

The main alien character (called Christopher Johnson by the humans) is a dad and his boy is with him on earth. And Chris is on a mission to get his son and all the aliens out of this hellish situation.

I'm not gonna say more for obvious reasons.

But Listen as a girlie who likes terrible and dumb dudes who are going to get hurt and possibly question everything, you know this would be a favourite.

To this day I'm still waiting on a sequel. District 9 is one of those movies you think to watch for fun...but then it exceeds your expectations. You will go back to again and again.

Oh and if you dare, read the book 'Cotton Wood' by R Lee Smith. It's inspired by this movie and it's a..um a romance 👀

Do you have any ideas about what the adult life of Spider, Kiri, etc. would be like in your modern au? Mainly focusing on Spider, what stage was his life at when he reconnected with Quaritch?

I can see him doing something creative - either artwork or music or maybe working in movie making. Perhaps he writes comics. He definitely words in the arts in some capacity, maybe while training for something else on the side, or doing some sort of apprenticeship.

If you want hard answers, I think he could be a concept artist/graphic designer for movies and tv shows. He would be so awesome at creating sketches that eventually make the big screen. Kind of like John Howe and Alan Lee for Lord of the Rings.

As for Kiri, she's definitely running her own business focusing on health and wellbeing. Maybe she has a yoga business or maybe she creates products that are sustainably sources while lobbying the government as a side hustle.

IF YOUVE NOT SEEN AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER PLEASE IGNORE

This is more related to the canon series than custody, but if you’ve ever seen avatar the last airbender,  what element would you think spider would bend? This is if the avatar characters were inserted into the ATLA universe, not regular old pandora with people that can bend. I feel like every element (or non) has at least a few good talking point.

fire bender - firebenders are evil 😈in ATLA, so it would make sense if Spider was a fire bender. I think quaritch would be a non-bender no matter what nation he’s from, but Spider could very well be a non-bender from the fire nation as well. I feel like if Spider was a non bender from the fire nation he’d defiently go full blue-spirit with dual dao (or some other) swords.

water bender - specifically southern water tribe. This is mostly bc quaritch has blue eyes and you don’t see that in any other nation. I also feel that southern water benders are more fierce than northern. They also tend to bend smaller amounts of water in ways that augment their body which I feel fits Spider quite nicely (I’m imaging him like ming hua from korra, only with the tentacles being made of ice and on his back), whereas northern water tribe act more like a rock in a stream, bending the water around them and diverting its flow. It also matches spiders stripes to be blue. I feel like since the northern water tribe is more “advanced” than the southern one, that Quaritch would be from there and Spider would have been raised in the southern tribe.  I could totoally see water tribe non bender spider rocking a wolf tail and boomerang

Earth bender - Spider as an earth bender is probably my #1 on this list. In this little AU (that I’m legit developing while writing this), people in the eastern earth kingdom are equivalent to forest na’vi. And the western earth kingdom (which is heavily influenced by the fire nation due to its location) is home to people like Jake, norm, maybe wainfleet idk. If Spider was an earth bender, it would defineoty be on his mothers side, with quaritch being fire nation - stationed at the western earth kingdom capital and in charge of expending the fire nations territory further east. I feel the eastern earth bending style would definitely include seismic sense as a way of hunting. And instead of chucking boulders at one another, earthbenders would mold the ground at their feet like it’s clay. Whereas western earthbenders would totally be the Chucky rock type.

As an earthbender, I think spider would be incredibly happy that he bends the same element as the people he lives with - every sully is a non-bender except for Kiri…… (she’s the (unrealised) avatar shhhhh don’t tell anyone), but the Omatikaya has many earthbenders. But his style of earth bending would be very different to the Omatikaya. He would also be the Chucky rock type, but with smaller amounts - as his bending style is very reminiscent to fire bending. (He was so happy he didn’t end up being a fire bender). I don’t think he would be a non-bender from the earth kingdom, as I cant find a fighting style/gimmick that suits him well.**

*NEVERMIND - CHI BLOCKER SPIDER WOULD BE EPIC. (But i feel like it’d be too OP - maybe he’s not quite Ty Lee level, but he’s good enough lol)

And finally - air bending spider. Being an air nomad definitely aligns with spiders morals. Quaritch would be fire nation non bender again, but he would have inherited his airbending from his mother - bc she’s a pilot, this idea works quite well. I would imagine she’s a descendant of the air nomads/has many air nomads in her family line. (She’s a non bender in this also, maybe like how people think ty Lee is a descendant of the air nomads. But Paz is totes raised in the fire nation). When Spider was born maybe they had a sage or something to predict if spiders gonna be a bender or not, maybe midwife’s are trained in that or something spirity. And it says he’s gonna be a bender. Imagine their surprise when he lets out a gust of air when he’s a kid instead of a plume of fire. 

This is kind of dark. But in this AU (obvs the world is VERY different for plot reasons) Kiri is the next avatar after korra - however there’s no fancy machinery and the Industrial Revolution hasn’t fully happened yet. Imagine the events of avatar aang happened 200 years before they actually did. 

Onto the dark bit. So, airbender start popping up everywhere after harmonic convergence. And spider happened to be on of those who is born an airbender. The white lotus gets kind of corrupted, and they see the best course of action is to “buy” (or steal) airbending children and raise them in the air temples to “bring back” and raise a new generation of the air nomads. Spider gets kidnapped, no clue who his parents are or were he came from. I feel like this scandal would get out after Chief tonowaris non bending daughter (princess Tsireya) gets taken at the age of 10 because she bent a bit of air. (Tsireya and Spider r bffs in this).

Spider’s vibe would totally match airbending cultural clothing, and I feel as if he would invent some really dumb airbending technique and get his tattoos early like aang did (this is bc I want him to have the blue tattoos - they match the stripes so well). Another reason for that is I want him in this AU to be a master, so he can be like Tsireya’s mentor or airbending teacher or something. He would also defo ride his air glider like a skateboard. Being an air nomad also matches his personality quite well.

Another note - I don’t think spider would be an EXCEPTIONAL bender or anything, I think he’d just be creative. If he was gonna be OP at something, it’d be the fire nation non bender idea - with the swords.

For the sort of layout of the world

Tomowari - chief of the northen tribe (it’s like still north, but not directly in the icy bit. It’s near underground hot springs so it’s a tropical area)

Princess Tsireya 🚫 equal Princess Yue

Jake = non bender from western earth kingdom

Neytiri = non-bender from eastern earth kingdom

Mo’at = earthbender

Quaritch = non bender no matter what AU, allegiance to the fire nation even if he’s water tribe (maybe only half water tribe, raised in the fire nation)

Paz = non bender, earth kingdom or earth kingdom with air nomad ancestors. Always raised in the fire nation

Aonung is a water bender. He also sucks at it.

Kiri is the avatar with no clue she’s the avatar. She can “sense” ravaa instead of Eywa.

Grace Augustine is fire nation.

Mansk, z dawg, ja = fire nation

Lyle, norm, prager, fike , Walker = western earth king one.

Don’t ask me what the northern and southern earth kingdom are like.

Events of avatar aang happened in like the 1600s, he was born 1600, hundred years pass. He lives till 60. 1660, korra lives till 80. Means that kiris time is 1740-????

The northen tribes stronghold is under the ocean in a massive coral reef. The southern tribe actually allied themselves partially with the fire nation to protect themselves.

Animals are a mix of pandora and earth animals together. Instead of something like platypus-bear it’d be like thanator-tiger.

Ok. I’m done. This was literally just meant to be “if you’ve ever seen ATLA, what element would spider bend :3” type ask. But I got carried away. Dw I’m not asking for u to write this 💀 I just want ur opinion and to share my idea <3

Aha I love this 😂😂. I have often thought someone should do an Avatar x Avatar crossover and you might just be the one for the job!

So I did read the whole thing whether I'm qualified to or not. The truth is I watched it a bit as a kid. I don't think I saw a ton of episodes and I'm a lil hazy on the plot (like I knew the Fire nation was bad and the general concept of the Avatar and Zuko redeems himself, right? But not much beyond that). A friend of mine wrote a BTSxAvatar fic which was fantastic but I believe unfinished and I have seen the bad movie too. So before I answer your question, just know I am not qualified to lol.

I think... for me anyway, Spider's character doesn't suit Fire. I don't even think Q's does, though I get the Fire guys are the baddies. I also don't think Spider would have a special power, which rules out air as I'm pretty sure the point of ATLA was that the air guys were wiped out? (or were they just supposed to be lol). Watching Spider sleeping calmly and peacefully brought opposite feelings to his father. Miles was sure that the boy hadn’t had many good nights of sleep in his life and he was very guilty of that. Now, with his son close by, Miles was determined to keep his word to take care of him. He just didn’t know exactly where to start.

Trying to clear his thoughts, he left Spider’s room, letting the boy rest without his somewhat dark presence. By the sea, the former colonel sat on the sand, watching the waves, trying to leave his mind empty, his tail still moving restlessly, despite his efforts to clear his mind.

A sudden touch to his ribs put him on alert, grabbing the malefactor’s wrist, which he quickly recognized as his wife’s.

-Careful, sweetheart - he relaxed a little - you shouldn’t try something like that in his conditions.

-I’m not a less efficient warrior because I’m pregnant - Varang quickly replied, in the same proud and haughty way as always.

-You understood what I meant - he soon closed his expression again.

Varang, instead of feeling intimidated, just found the situation even more inviting. With a sideways smile, she quickly glanced at her husband and sat down in front of him, like a stubborn child. Despite being serious, Miles waited to see what would come next.

Her delicate hands went straight to his defined abdomen, drumming quickly, trying to tickle her husband. When the attempt didn’t work out very well, she just opened her mischievous smile even more, moving her hands to his chest, but not lingering there too long. In a cunning way, Varang tickled his armpits, knowing that they were exactly his weak spot.

She got a low laugh from Quaritch, which she seemed pleased with. He suddenly wrapped his arms around her, keeping her still there.

-What do you want, woman? Why do you disturb me so much, Varang? - he kissed her ear when he finished speaking - that wasn’t what I wanted in return for loving you.

-I know you love my teasing - she hummed back, but soon became serious - what ails you, Miles? Just tell me.

-Spider is my problem - he admitted - problem might be the wrong word, he is my responsibility, I’m afraid that he won’t adapt to the tribe, or that I’ll never be enough for him.

-It could be so - she didn’t deny his statement - there’s no way you can completely control Spider’s opinion of you, but your attitudes can count in your favor. I am living proof of that.

-Does that mean I didn’t win you over right away? - Miles looked at her directly - what was it that made you change your opinion about me?

-Your survival instinct - Varang replied calmly, leaving the games aside for a moment - your desire to adapt, despite anything, took a while for you to open your heart to me, perhaps this will harm you in getting closer to the boy , but if you’re always true to him, you’ll be the father I know you already are.

Before any trace of doubt appeared on Miles’ face, his wife took one of his hands, resting it on her belly. Feeling his child move, the consort her gave a smile, overflowing with what his wife understood as love and protection.

Varang trusted him to keep his promises to care for and protect his entire family, which included Spider. Grateful for his wife’s advice and wisdom, Quaritch kissed her sweetly. Varang, somehow, took his fears and anxieties far away.

🔥 If you request a character that is quite young in the fandom, I will typically age them up to at least the age of a young teen or young adult (12-20) for a dating/romantic X-Reader (if it’s for a platonic or familial X-Reader they can be their canon age). Though how far I age them up depends on what “activities” they are doing. Some examples being if you ask for when they first grow crushes on each other I would probably keep them their canon age or just a tiny bit older. For a soft first kiss scenario I’ll age them up from 12-15. Or if you want something like a make out session, they will be aged up around 16 or older. And of course, for anything NSFW related they will aged up to 18+. The only exception to this rule is if you specifically ask for them to be older than their canon age to fit your story as long as it is fit their actions.

I absolutely loved these beautiful Avatar 2 Fanarts of the characters of Miles Quaritch and Spider Socorro together and above all because I won't lie to them at all this is really adorable to see between them 2 together and above all because I really love the fact that in the first fanart we see Quaritch and his son Spider Socorro are doing a challenge of control and personal domain in which Quaritch is tickling his son to see how much he can stand it and due to the fact that he still remembered when he was human the fact that his son had a lot of tickling in his feet when he was still just a small baby and then he decided to tickle him there to see how much his son could stand already as a teenager and then in the second fanart we see Spider Socorro calling his dad for the first time "Dad" while he laughs out loud without being able to withstand the attack of tickling on his feet while Quaritch without being surprised by his reaction to the tickling before he let him go to what Spider Socorro once recovered immediately calls him "Old Man" to which his dad asks him what he had called him while it seems that he is going to teach him a lesson for that and I really won't lie to them I really would have liked that we could have had a scene just like this one in the Avatar 2 movie between them 2 together to be able to see them have moments together... I don't know about you but I really want to see them together again in the next movies of Avatar of James Cameron and that then we can see them again... sincerely
