Makomo and Sabito were in the same class, literally always together at school and were very very very good friends since… always?

So the girl walked silently through the school corridors, after classes were over.

Sabito was in the garden, looking at some animals that were there.

Makomo giggled and approached, extending his hands to silently reach his friend's sides and then squeeze them!

"Surprise attack!" She exclaimed.

But something didn't go as planned.

Sabito turned quickly, grabbing one of her arms and knocking her down with his leg on the ground, of course being very careful not to hurt his friend.

"What were you trying to do?" He smiled at her.

"Catch you by surprise!" Makomo laughed on the ground. "And tickle you, your face gets so funny and cute when you’re being tickled, Sabito."

"Funny, huh? Let's see if you find this funny." Sabito sat down next to Makomo and before the girl could complain, he dug his fingers into her sides, making her exclaim and start giggling.

"Hehehehey! Nohohoho! Please!"

“Isn’t that what you wanted? Tickles?”

“Buhuhuhut I wahahanted to behehehe the tickleheheher! Ahahahaha!”

Makomo shook her head from side to side, kicking her legs as her brain thought of some way to get out of there

“You keep catching me by surprise, maybe this will teach you a lesson about stopping bothering me~”

“It’s fuhuhuhuhunny!”

“Do you still find all this funny? Let’s see what you think now~”

Sabito raised his hands and placed them under the girl’s armpits, Makomo let out a snort and started laughing louder

“What was that? Did you snorted?”

“AHAHAHAHA NOHOHOHOHO! *snort*”

“Oh… that’s cute~” Sabito smiled, which made the girl blush

“STOHOHOHOHOHOP”

The boy obeyed, knowing that even though his friend sometimes liked being tickled, she asked him to stop when she was really out of breath

Makomo continued laughing for a few more seconds, trying to get rid of the phantom feelings that the tickling left

“If you don’t stop bothering me this week, I’ll do double” Sabito said, with his normal more serious expression

“Bleh” Makomo stuck his tongue out at him, quickly standing up and squeezing the boy’s sides, making him scream and jump forward to defend himself “you’ll have to catch me first!”

Makomo ran away, Sabito smiled and chased her, even though he knew that Teatcher Tomioka would probably give them both a hard time for running around the school, but playing with his friend was a lot of fun.

And even with his serious demeanor, Sabito loved to have fun, and he loved his relationship with Makomo.

Even though she really got on his nerves sometimes.

Sabito sighed as he saw Makomo walk past him, but met his best friend's angry gaze. 'What did you do this time?'

'Hehehe...Well...', Sabito laughed nervously, it was the 5th prank he played on him that week, it was a 'war' and a 'game' between them.

'I put a beetle in her bed and when she woke up, the beetle was about to kiss her,' Sabito laughed loudly as he remembered Makomo's scream to the sky and how she did a dance to try to push the beetle away.

Giyuu shook his head, but something behind Sabito caught his attention, he tried to warn him, but failed. 'What's wrong Giyuu? Laugh with me!'

'Ohh, I will definitely laugh now...Sabito...', Sabito froze and didn't dare to look back.

You could have done it and maybe saved yourself! But since he didn't, Makomo threw him to the ground and sat on his ankles, smiling as Sabito denied and tried to negotiate with her.

'Oh Sabito...Nothing you say is going to change my mind. You never keep the promises you tell me...'

'M-Makomo! No! Is seriously!'

'What's happening? You always tell Giyuu to act like a man. So...Take tickling like a man...', well Sabito, Makomo is definitely right.

Giyuu smiled when Makomo winked at him and quickly started scratching Sabito's sole. 'MAHAKOHOMO!!! NOHOHO!! AHHH! GIYUU!! GIYUU PLEHEAHASE! HEHEHELP!! NOT THERE!!'

'As soon? Let's go Sabito! Giyuu lasts more seconds than you!', well, it was partly true.

Sabito stood up and tried to hit Makomo's back, failing when he felt Makomo's fingers brush against his toes. 'Oh oh~ looks like someone is in trouble!'

'You're right Giyuu! Ready Sabito?', the answer was very obvious, but Makomo didn't care one bit about Sabito's pleas. Sabito tried to curl his toes but Makomo's small fingers prevented him.

'MAHAKOHOMO!! I'M SOHORRY!! NOT THE TOHOHOES!! YOHOU WIHIHIN!!'

'Hmmm...I don't know. What do you think, Giyuu?'

Giyuu looked at his friend's pleading eyes, but then he remembered the times he had made the same eyes and Sabito simply ignored them. 'He can endure much longer! Continue Makomo!'

'GIYUU DAHAHAMN TRAHAITOHOR!! YOHOU'LL SEE I'LL TIHIHICKLE YOHOHOU NON-STOOHOP WHEHEHEN I REHEHELEHAHAHASE!!'

squiggily my love how are you, i feel like it's been forever since i crashed in your ask box 🖤 i hope the universe gives you the queen treatment you deserve and i will just humbly leave my present in your courtroom and then show myself out to watch from my evil tower of evilness how you open the box and find *drumroooooll* a kny modern au scenario because i'm BACK BABY (moderately so i still need to write job applications but i'm back that's the point)

so anyway the scenario. and it needs to be modern au because. people are alive there.

i've been having some sabito brainrot and he would just be SUCH a horrifying ler, i know it. he knows exactly what teases get to his victim, he knows all their spots, he's agile enough to dodge attacks and strong enough to pin people down, he just has the full package. taking him down is literally impossible.

giyuu tries it. epic fail abort mission the absolute worst day of his life and he's had many of those so you know it's bad.

tanjiro tries it. EPIC fail, sabito is a substitute coach in urokodaki's dojo after all and he knows ALL of tanjiro's moves, it's hopeless.

nezuko tries it. failfailfail because yeah she's cute and dangerous but sabito is a teacher, he knows of the danger that comes from small people and once you see where kids stick their hands you become kinda immune to any kind of cuteness.

giyuu ropes his friends into it. some of them only need a little nudge ("i've been wanting to kill that guy for years" - "SANEMI"), some of them need extra encouragement ("and what's in it for me?" - "fun? exercise? come on kyo..." - "listen if you want this to happen you better treat me to some quality burgers because i won't risk my life for nothing") but in the end they do indeed end up trying their luck. emphasis on trying.

kanae and kyojuro fail spectacularly and publicly because they thought it was a smart idea to ambush sabito on campus. tengen and mitsuri fail embarrassingly because they have all this strength and at the end of the day it really does nothing. sanemi and obanai refuse to talk about it and akaza isn't sure whether he should be absolutely fuming at the defeat or ecstatic that he actually found someone whose martial art skills are on par with his own.

(shinobu and gyomei are smart enough to stay out of the mess and honestly good for them)

except there is one person who can actually take sabito down and that person is makomo. and getting the intel from her was always out of giyuu's pay league (she's EXPENSIVE) but now that sabito has humiliated all of his friends, tengen and his disgusting off-shore untaxed bank account are happy to chip in. and the trick is really just that sabito has one really weird spot but once you get that the rest of his spots sort of unlock like bonus levels and then it's bad. if you're just one person, getting the spot might be hard but well. they're eight now.

that's it i don't have any details after it i just wanted to share the setup. have the most lovliest wonderfullest day and stay hydrated, i will now go rewatch sk8 as i yearn for the ova they announced 🖤🖤

Makomo knows her worth like a true girlboss and I love her for it whsnwnsnwn TENGEN ABXBNWHSJS He’s not ashamed- Sabito took his built like a building down so fast whsnnwnsns I love the idea of Sabito having such a unknown spot qjsnnsnsns (I don’t know why- I’m thinking elbows; like- just above the joint if you squeeze it with the right pressure it’s like an on switch) He gets all giggly and then shocked cause “Wait that wasn’t supposed to happen” and now everyone’s looking at him like 👀👀👀😈😈😈 and he’s RUNNING!

It goes down in history as the greatest fox hunt of all time- Shinobu took pictures and everything (she needs blackmail for future endeavors) and now Sabito has to get even more creative with his tickly attacks to avoid said antics 🤣🤣🤣 God this AU is so GREAT!

i recently saw art of the demon slayer characters playing musical instruments and was wondering what instrument you think the characters would play

ooh very good question! music is not my field of expertise but i can try to organize my few thoughts - also if i mention an instrument that didnʼt exist during that time in that area (which i will) just imagine it's a modern au ^^'

also: i did include canon musical skills but only those i could think of off the top of my head so there might be some stuff missing or just plain ignored lol

okay so we know that zenitsu plays the shamisen and the koto (which apparently originates from the chinese guzheng even tho my former japanese neighbors have been trying to tell me otherwise but what do i know lol i just thought it was funny) and i think his talent would expand to other string instruments as well, he could probably learn how to play the guitar, bass guitar, maybe even violin etc very easily

i can also picture sanemi with a guitar because @trans-ace-lee established that in the modern au and also i think it would be really sexy 😌 which is why i declare it canon

genya would try and copy his brother but he'd be really bad at it and switch to another instrument that's more his style, i'm thinking maybe drums. at first he does it to look cool and then actually having fun is a nice bonus lol

tengen "canonically" plays the harmonica, tho i can see him being a natural at most instruments he picks up. in the au he's been playing piano since he was a child because his dad wanted him to but he actually ended up loving it, he also had to learn hichiriki (a type of flute) and also i made him a music major so he probably plays a ton of instruments a little bit

speaking of flutes, we know that gyomei plays the shakuhachi. given his supreme hearing i'm sure he could learn to play other instruments as well but i don't really see him doing that tbh? like he has his flute and he's very contempt with his flute, the same applies to yoriichi

and nakime obviously plays the biwa in every universe, nakime and her biwa are inseparable

Kocho apologized for the times she jokingly commented that no one could stand him, Tomioka indicated that it was fine and thanked her for apologizing. The hashira came closer and gave him a hug, Tanjiro then noticed Tomioka's uniform, he noticed the side with the figures. 'I've seen that design before', he thought and quickly remembered that the last time he saw it was on Sabito.

He reached out his fingers and began to caress the soft fabric, but his fingers began to trail down until he accidentally pressed Tomioka's hip causing a squeal from him. Shinobu broke away from the hug upon hearing the shriek. 'What was that Tanjiro-Kun? Is everything alright Tomioka-san?'

But he didn't count on Shinobu also starting to squeeze his hip, he covered his mouth trying to muffle his laugh but to no avail. 'Ara ara Tomioka-San, Tanjiro was right, you're ticklish', she smiled and opted to stick her hands in his armpits

Tomioka couldn't resist his laugh anymore 'Nohoho! Kohhocho! Stahahap!', he tried to push her away but when he did Tanjiro took his hands and held them up, giving Shinobu better access. 'Tomioka-san, you didn't attend your medical check-up last time, so I'll start checking for any broken ribs.' 'Oh no!' Tomioka thought, he knew his ribs were sensitive

'WAHAHIT!! NOHOHOHO! KO-KOCHO!!', he arched his back as Shinobu's fingers began to go up and down like spiders. 'Hahaha! You should smile more Tomioka-San', Tanjiro commented. 'STAPH IT! WAHAHAHAHA!!! NO NO NO NO!!! TAHAHAHANJIROHOHO!!!NAHAHAHAT!!!!!', he tried to lower his arms but Tanjiro stopped him from doing so

'Tomioka-San he is right, you should smile more, I wonder what others would think if they knew about this'. 'NOHOHOHO!! PLEHEHEHEHAHAHAHSE!!! I DO ANYTHING!!, he begged. But they didn't let him go, they were happy to see the hashira smiling and laughing

'Ara ara Tomioka-san, you really are very ticklish. I hope the demons don't know about this weakness,' Shinobu said mockingly. 'HAHAHAHAHA!! PLEASE!!! I-I HAHAHAHAHA!!!', Tomioka couldn't utter any more words, Kocho was right, it was too ticklish. 'Promise you'll try to smile a few times, that's the only way we'll let you, right Shinobu - San?' Tanjiro asked.

Hashira Headcanons

ahhh I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now!! finally getting around to it hehe so I hope everyone enjoys these! I had a lot of fun with them~ They’re also pretty long so they’re under the cut! I’m still working through headcanon requests I’ve just been really into demon slayer lately and wanted to get something quick out~

Giyuu Tomioka

he’s surprisingly ticklish?? like not screaming at a poke ticklish but more ticklish than one would expect

He’s also good at hiding it so not many people find out

That is, not many people knew until Shinobu found out and decided to point it out in front of all the other Hashira

When he was still training, he got tickled by Urokodaki a lot when he was training, and then by Sabito and Makomo when they were resting

He would always tickle Makomo and Sabito back (even though he ended up losing the eventual tickle fight anyway) but now he doesn’t really tickle people

He’s seen a lot and doesn’t laugh much, let alone smile

That said, some of the other Hashira tickle him sometimes, though it’s mostly Shinobu and Uzui, occassionally a poke from Mitsuri

It’s normally not enough to get him laughing, just enough to embarrass him though

Shinobu has gotten him to chuckle once and she’s never let him live it down

His most ticklish spots are probably his knees, sides, and his ribs

He almost never tickles other people, like he’s tickled Tanjiro once and it was very brief and accidental

I think he needs to laugh more though so like,,, get him Shinobu >:)

Her tickle spots are her tummy, sides and waist!

Not many people know she’s ticklish, aside from Mitsuri and a few people at the Butterfly Estate

When Kanao found out she was ticklish she flipped her coin and it was tails, so she decided to tickle Shinobu a little bit and she just let it happen because she knew that Kanao didn’t have any ill intent with it

Giyuu tickled her once because she was tickling him and she wasn’t expecting it and squeaked it was pretty funny

She has the MEANEST teases omggg

She also love love lovesss those gentle tickles when she’s dishing out on people

She can find peoples bad spots easily and just go after them with her NAILS

She and Mitsuri get into tickle fights on occassion, but Shinobu normally wins because she can fluster Mitsuri easily and combined with the gentle nail tickles, Mitsuri’s a goner

She has lost sometimes though because Mitsuri’s really damn strong and when she gets on Shinobu’s sides her chances of winning go down dramatically

Kyojuro Rengoku

Rengoku, my beloved

He’s really not that ticklish, like he can get laughing or chuckling but it’s not easy

He only has a few spots, and I feel like one of them would definitely be his underarms

Like some of the other Hashira like Mitsuri or Shinobu have come up behind him and tried to tickle him and he’s like “Oh? A tickle fight? Cool!” and just pounces on them lmao

He’s definitely more of a ler than a lee, and he’s a really nice ler!

He compliments his lee, teasing on rare occassion and is just overall really fun and gentle too

Sometimes he can get a little rough but he always knows when to tone it back a little

He’s tickled the trio a little bit, especially Tanjiro who’s basically like his apprentice since he uses a similar breathing technique

He also tickles the other Hashira sometimes, mostly accidentally but other times just because he wants to

When he tickles people it’s mostly Mitsuri (which he gets glares from Obanai because of) and Shinobu, Obanai on occassion because of said glaring and just generally wanting to hear him laugh

He’s super playful in general but he’ll stop when asked to because he respects peoples limits

Tengen Uzui

Okay another one that’s not very ticklish unless you get really specific spots lol

He’s ruthless as a ler, and he’s seldom the lee so he doesn’t understand peoples limits and stuff

He has the LOUDEST laugh once you get him going though, part of it is just him being overdramatic though

His tickle spots are his hips and his ears, two spots that are harder to get oof

Similar to Rengoku he’s pretty playful, but most of that is because he’s just generally flamboyant

He doesn’t tickle people too often, but he has definitely put a target on people like Giyuu and Sanemi lol rip them

He’ll tickle people until they’re hiccuping or in silent hysterics, he’s one of the people that doesn’t really register the word “stop”

That said he’s nicer with people he likes, such as Mitsuri or Rengoku because of their upbeat nature

He likes people he deems flamboyant enough, and since those two meet the requirements he’s nicer to them when it comes to tickling

Muichiro Tokito

SWEET BABY BOY

okay so he’s actually really ticklish?? it’s so cute pls

He deserves gentle, sweet, and loving tickles, not the evil rough ones from Uzui lmao

Lighter tickles get him better than rough tickles anyway and he prefers when people are more gentle with him because he’s not a huge fan of being touched unless he really trusts the person

He’s ticklish pretty much everywhere, but some of his worse spots are his ribs, underarms and his neck

Teases don’t work on him, he’s completely oblivious to them lmao

He has the sweetest little giggle awww the other Hashira love to tickle him every so often just because he’s so cute and his face gets a little red too

He doesn’t really like being tickled unless it’s his friends or the other Hashira because he has respect for people closer to him

Mitsuri and Rengoku tickle him the most often, sometimes even together just to make him at least smile

He doesn’t tickle people very often because he knows if he initiates it with any of the other Hashira he’ll end up getting wrecked lol

He’s tried it before with Rengoku, never again

Mitsuri Kanroji

MITSURI KANROJI MY BELOVED

Super ticklish, absolute baby, deserves it just for being so cute

Her tickle spots are her tummy, hips, and her ribs!

She’s generally very ticklish and just loves tickling, both dishing it and taking

She likes to tickle Obanai and Muichiro especially, but she’s tickled pretty much every pillar or at least tried to

She has the CUTEST laugh it’s like,, a bit squeaky and snorty but in the most endearing and adorable way? idk maybe i’m biased because I love her but she’s definitely got a cute laugh

She’s really teasy and she doesn’t even mean to be, she just loves to laugh along with her lee and watch their face go red

She’s very squirmy and giggly when people tickle her and she’s the type to start laughing when people just wiggle their fingers at her

her favorite person to tickle is probably Obanai because she just thinks his reactions are really cute and she loves his laugh, but Muichiro and Shinobu are also people she likes to tickle hehe

If she has access and is close enough with the person she’s definitely the type to give people raspberries

Obanai Iguro

grrr this is gonna be so biased i love him too much

He’s very ticklish but he’s really good at controlling his reactions as long as he’s not caught off-guard 

His most ticklish spots are his hips, thighs, and his knees ouuGH

He has a really raspy laugh if anyone manages to get him to that point, for the most part he just gasps and chuckles occasionally

He’s not tickled very often and not even all the Hashira know he’s ticklish, only Mitsuri, Rengoku, and Gyomei really know that he’s ticklish and even then only Mitsuri and Rengoku actively tickle him when they’re not around the other Hashira

He’s really embarrassed with how ticklish he is so he doesn’t like people knowing, and the three that know respect that and don’t tell others

He doesn’t like being tickled either but he doesn’t seem to mind when Mitsuri does it but you definitely didn’t hear that from me hehe

Kaburamaru doesn’t mean to but sometimes he will like slither on Obanai’s neck and DAMN that tickles more than it should but he’s gotten a little bit more used to it as time has gone on

that said he still jumps a little bit if Kaburamaru does it really suddenly or quickly, or flicks his tongue near his ear or neck

Gyomei Himejima

He’s not very ticklish and doesn’t tickle people very often, so he’s left out most of the time when it comes to tickle stuff :(

There was one rare occassion, it was probably because Muichiro had been tired from a mission but Gyomei picked him up to help him to bed and accidentally tickled the poor boy 

Of course, that led to a few gentle tickles as well, not enough to make him hysterical but just enough to make him giggle a little bit before falling asleep

Gyomei’s probably ticklish on his feet and his knees, spots that others normally don’t tickle and he probably doesn’t even know he’s ticklish

Mitsuri and Rengoku, even Uzui have tried tickling him before but they don’t get much of a reaction so they’ve kinda given up on tickling him

Of course they invite him to help tickle someone else, like if they’re ganging up on Giyuu or Sanemi, and every now and then he’ll join in

He’s very gentle, he’s almost over concious of whether or not he’s hurting someone so his touches are very soft and people hardly ever feel them sometimes

Sanemi Shinazugawa

Not ticklish. at all

Even after he’s been tickled to tears by multiple people, he’ll never admit it

He hates it, he’s never liked it and definitely doesn’t like it now

He never initiates it and doesn’t tickle other people very often, but he’s like a toddler when he gets tickled he just turns into putty

He kicks and flails and throws threats out left and right, but he never acts on them because he’s too tired afterwards from kicking and screaming and laughing to actually enact any of his threats

His spots are under his arms and his ribs, specifically his upper ribs

He falls into hysterics pretty quickly just because he’s a drama queen but we still love him lol

He’s a bit,,, vengeful, but he doesn’t like to tickle other people that much

That said, the demon slayer code says that you can’t attack another demon slayer so he kinda has to tickle to get back

He’s a really hard tickler, he’s not good at it and it kinda hurts sometimes and he’s picky and choosy with who he actually gets revenge with

sometimes he’s really mean and gets revenge on someone who was walking by and is like “This is what you get for not helping me!” and its like what did they do?? literally nothing chill out Sanemi pls

He does target Giyuu sometimes though just because he’s an asshole lmao and he has like a vendetta against Giyuu for, again, literally no reason

- He’s pretty ticklish but he’s also good at hiding it

- Or at least he was good at hiding it until Shinobu found out and now makes it her mission to let everyone know

- He still denies it though, even after someone tickles him he’ll never admit to being ticklish

- When he was younger and training under Urukodaki he got tickled a lot because of both Urukodaki and Sabito

- Makomo never bothered him by tickling him, but she definitely teased him

- Some tickle spots for him are his knees, shoulder blades, and his sides

- He has a really soft laugh, it never gets very loud

- Hard tickles work best on him, he’s good at holding back when the tickles are softer

- Teases work pretty well on him, but only when he’s not expecting them or they’re really mean teases

- He blushes whenever people tease him, and also after he’s been tickled for a while

- One time after a Hashira meeting Shinobu told Uzui and Rengoku about Giyuu’s ticklish little secret and they both ganged up on him poor guy

Ler -

- He doesn’t really tickle people now that he’s older and soooo mature

- Sometimes he’ll tickle Tanjirou or his friends, but only very briefly, just a little poke nothing serious

- But when he was younger he and Sabito tickled each other aaall the time

- After training Sabito would always complain so Giyuu would tickle him to make him stop

- He’s not a super good tickler, he digs in a bit too hard and doesn’t know when to stop but he can get people laughing pretty easily

- He doesn’t tease. He used to with Sabito but now he just smiles slightly

- When he did tease he was really bad at it, which is probably why he stopped

- He’s more reserved now as an adult, but that doesn’t mean he won’t tickle people

- Thats really the only case where he’ll tickle someone that isn’t like Tanjirou or his friends is if they tickle him first

- Veeeeery ticklish, but like Giyuu, good at hiding it!

- Some of her tickle spots are her feet, neck, and her tummy

- She has a really dainty laugh it’s beautiful

- It’s high pitched and fluid, but it’s also really bubbly if that makes sense?

- It’s like an angelic laugh, it’s also very soft and just overall nice to listen to

- She doesn’t like it when people tease her, she prefers to be the one teasing

- She also doesn’t mind being tickled when it comes to people that she knows, but if it’s someone else they should expect a firm beating

- While she’s good at hiding it a few of the Hashira know but would never give it away

- Unlike her who purposefully gave away Giyuu’s ticklishness

- Mitsuri, Himejima and Obanai know, but only Mitsuri uses it to her advantage occasionally

- Whenever they’re eating dinner together like they often do Mitsuri might playfully tickle her to get Shinobu to pay the bill

- But otherwise Shinobu isn’t tickled that often

- She used to be tickled a LOT by Kanae, especially before she herself became a demon slayer

Ler -

- She is a cruel ler

- She’ll find peoples worst spot and stay there until their laughter goes silent or they call uncle

- She’s definitely a tickle monster, she’s sadistic and enjoys tickling people

- She mostly tickles Giyuu (especially in front of others), Mitsuri, and the people that live at the Butterfly Estate

- She tickles Kiyo, Sumi and Naho gently since their younger and is really sweet with them

- She also tickles Kanao and Aoi quite often whenever she’s not working on her poisons or out slaying demons

- She uses it as her form of affection with certain people, like Mitsuri and the people who live at the Butterfly Estate

- But with others,,, it’s more like a form of torture

- She teases a lot too, with people she likes she’s nicer with the teases but with people like Giyuu she’s absolutely ruthless

- It’s less teasing and more making fun of him honestly, poor guy
