What's happening with the OT7 jikookers? I'm OT7 but I only ship jikook. Why are there so many jikookers on Twitter and Tumblr getting upset if some jikookers aren't multi-shippers? They call us bullies and haters if we don't like taekook as ship. Being a multi-shipper means not believing that jikook has a relationship, but just shipping multiple couples for fun. I don't understand why these jikookers want to force other jikookers to ship taekook (or yoonmin) too, otherwise we’re all haters or not truly OT7

Being OT7 has nothing to do with shipping.

Shipping in any fandom is entirely optional and up to the individual.

I personally dispise shipping in this context. Don't get me wrong, I love shipping fictional characters. But shipping real people who are very obviously not in a relationship, it's not my thing. Especially when these shippers start to actually think they are and start pushing their narrative/agenda.

The whole thing makes me really uneasy.

With jikook I don't consider that shipping because I don't especially want them to be together or anything, I just think they are. I accept the reality presented to me and support it. That's pretty much it.

But now if you tell me some multi-shippers are guilt tripping others to like what they like, that's really concerning.

Nobody is obligated to like any ship. Shipping is fun for certain but for others like me it's discomforting.

So seriously these people should focus on the ships they like and leave people alone for not liking the same things. Nobody has to multi-ship to be OT7, that's the biggest BS I heard

Obviously, I understand that in creative spaces such as fics, it's different. When you make up stories about the ships the characters become fictional in a way. So shipping multiple characters allows creative freedom and like it's fine (couldn't be me tho, I'm incapable reading fics with other ships than jikook.)

The issue is that a lot of people can't make a difference between fiction and reality, and many narratives from real life bleeds into fics. So the lines definitely can get blurry here.

But one of the biggest fandom rule is "ship and let ship". Your ship doesn't have to be mine thing that sort of thing.

Obviously in other fandom this rule applies, but since our fandom is so filled with toxicity when it comes to ships, it's hard to simply watch people wreak havoc and cause pain because of their beliefs.

But policing people for their ships, especially when they are seemingly not harming anyone, that is not it.

I have nothing against multi-shippers but what you tell me makes me think of wokism. Like "yeah I love any ships, I'm so open-minded and above petty fightings, I want everyone to love each other, people should be more like me"

Which like I understand what they mean but no? In reality multi-shippers are not better than anyone else. They are certainly not more OT7 than you even if they want you to think they are.

I understand that this writer was triggered by the reactions which were extreme, and I imagine other multi-shippers came to defend her.

But this problem was kinda inevitable.

It's fine if multi-shippers want to believe they can stay above the clouds but there are real experienced issues with some ships and putting your head in the sand and acting outraged when something like this happens, really?

You can't pretend like the toxicity isn't there. I don't care if people write for other ships but the reality is that the TK ship is problematic and no one should be forced to like a ship that caused so much harm.

So the OT7 jikookers acting all high and mighty, for real are the biggest hypocrites. They just want to keep face with that stance and try to look better than everyone else.

Random but what are your thoughts on JM dedicating BS&T to Suga at PTD Seoul? For his birthday?

The dedication in question:

Jimin talked about not being able to give a gift for Yoongi's birthday because they were preparing for concerts, and expressed his feelings with a part of the song they were about to perform which says "Da gajyeoga, ga", meaning "Take it all"

So, basically Jimin wasn't dedicating BS&T to Yoongi, it was just the "take it all" part that was expressing his feeling, as an apology for not being able to give him a gift. Btw you have to dedicate something that is yours, and that song wasn't Jimin's song to begin with.

I saw Ymners aka Tkkrs, celebrating this as a "romantic" yoonmin moment, and it's not surprising. Yes, this definitly a cute interaction, but how Jimin not getting Yoongi a birthday gift can be seen as romantic? Or how can they ignore the fact that Jimin greeted Yoongi's birthday with JK and posted this cute photo including JK's hashtag?

And when the Seoul concerts ended and Jimin found some free time, instead of making it up for Yoongi, he not just had a dinner date with JK at his house, but he went out with him on the next day which was the White Day. Or last year, when we heard that a lot from Tkkrs saying Taekook spend a lot of time together because in chapter2 they are not being controlled by the company anymore 🤡

We know how their narratives changed in the second half of the year, but in the first half, they totally ignored the fact that Taekook were the only free members of BTS back then, and Jimin was busy from May 2022 working on his album and super busy after YTC Busan concert finishing his work. And when did JK's restaurant tour started? When did he hang out a few times with Wooga? Exactly. I'm not even bringing up the details like all these hang outs only happened when a certain someone was on her world tour, or JK mentioning them leaving him alone at the ski resort. Thanks to some intruders we even know that they didn't interact much while they were hanging out. But I'm not gonna go there.

Tkk spending some fun time together in the last days they could, Jimin mentioning Yoongi and Hobi as the members he saw a lot (because their solo release plans were overlapping), Tae attending JK's music show as a official surprise guest, Jimin having dinner with Yoongi the night before his enlistment, all are beautiful moments with simple explanation of BTS being close friends. But with Jikook you can't explain and justify things so simply. Yes, you can celebrate your favorite ship's moments, but you are not allowed to ignore facts that indicate your OTP are not romantically involved.

Wishing Jimin would just stop interacting with these Jungkook, liking his posts, posting him or about him on social media would be like wishing for him to sort of, stop breathing, stop being himself because that is who he is. He is selfless like that, he always puts others before him, he gives expecting nothing in return. Now shippers are analyzing every word he writes and says.

They literally make his art about the ship.

Imagine somehow in your peanut size brain managing to link FACE with anything Jungkook releases. It may be a joke but it's disrespectful to Jimin who's clearly the artist among the two.

Using Jimin's posts to validate your ship but he's being a friend and supportive when he posts other members, if we're using his IG feed to validate the ship then that means Yoonmin is also real because jimin posted a lot about his Tour when that was happening.

Now Jokers have also found a link and somethings ship related with Jimins lates reel and Jungkook's TikTok posts. Jimin is literally hinting something big he's working on right now and it's about to be revealed according to theories based on Pjm1 in a week from now. And the first thing that came to mind to jokers was how they could make that their ship moment.

Do these people have any sense. Like how is your brain braining?

Not everything is about that god forsaken ship. Leave jimin and his art alone, this is becoming annoying because these people are old woman with kids and husbands but their knee deep into proving that somehow two members of a boyband are dating. For what!

It's okay to ship but please respect Jimin stop involving his music in your theories.

Have you heard about the recent hate directed towards jm’s dad from solos and delusional taekookers? It was so bad to the point that the cafe’s instagram had to turn off their comments.

The hate towards jm seems to be endless and is so frustrating especially when it comes from shippers who hate him based on their own made up fantasies.

Hi anon. Yes, I have. I’ve been thinking about what to say about it. In fact, I have a post sitting in my drafts that I saved so that I could think it over. I edited it and toned it way down, but then I wondered what the point would even be of posting in its current milder form.

Not to make this about me, but when someone says something that hurts me, my instinct is to back away and not argue about it. I know that’s not ideal.

I really care about Jm, and when I see everything that’s going on lately, I end up reporting/blocking people and logging off. I’m not sure if the people who are harassing him and his family can be reasoned with. So what’s the point? I don’t know what the answer is.

Anyway, regarding this situation…

I want to preface this by saying that we shouldn’t make blanket statements about people. There are kind, reasonable taekookers and there there are cruel, unreasonable ones. Same with jikookers, solos, ot7, etc.

That said, I think the situation with the cafe is out of control and a lot of it is born out of information being taken out of context.

There is no “jkk shrine” at the cafe. The table that we often see in pictures is filled with items, the vast majority of which have to do with Jm and only Jm. These items were gifts from fans. They were not hand-picked by Jm’s dad or anyone else at the cafe. A friend of mine visited the cafe about six months ago, and sent me pics because she knew I’d be curious. (They aren’t my pics to post, so I can’t share them here, unfortunately.) I spotted maybe two “jikook” items in her pics and they weren’t even shippy. It was, like, a pic of Jm and Jk standing next to each other. Not a big deal and totally platonic if you ask me.

There have been other little things: bt21 characters and whatnot, for instance on the Christmas tree, but this is not some grand declaration that “jkk is real” like some people want to believe. So, taekookers and solos need to calm the hell down. He can display whatever he wants in his own cafe. If it bothered jm or jk or anyone else in the group, or the company, I’m pretty damn sure they’d just approach his dad and discuss it. People act as if the guys lack the ability to handle things themselves.

In this situation, there is plenty of blame to go around: the jikooker who sent the “jikook is real” card or whatever that was needs to have some class. I talk about shipping here in my weird little corner of tumblr, but sending something to the cafe? That’s not right. Meanwhile, other shippers, solos, etc need to leave Jm and his family alone. Why do they assume the worst intentions of others? Maybe he read the note and didn’t think it was a big deal? Maybe he didn’t translate the note from Spanish to Korean and wasn’t aware of what it said? Maybe his dad didn’t even see it himself and it was placed there by cafe staff? Either way, WHO CARES.

And then of course, after all of this mess there was retaliation toward Jk via Bam’s account. Which is equally unhinged. What on earth does that accomplish?

I’m Jm biased and often can’t stand the way some people in this fandom talk about him. I have loads of theories about why this is, why he is assigned attributes that aren’t in-line with reality. But I don’t want to discuss that and put those negative thoughts out into the universe.

I’ll just finish by saying that I understand a lot of people lump all of us shippers into one category. But I think for the most part yoonminers do a good job of staying in our lane and not causing drama. There have been plenty of rumors of yoonmin sightings, a paparazzi video, etc and we never say a word about it thank you very much! Because we know our place, and we understand that the guys’ safety and privacy is way more important than winning some online argument. I’ve written about…I don’t know…70% of my yoonmin thoughts/opinions on this blog because the other 30% is none of our business and I don’t need to be shouting it from the rooftops.

(I tried to take Jm’s name out of this post so it wouldn’t be searchable in that way, but I probably missed at least one. I’m happy to discuss this a little more but otherwise I think it’s best to move on to more positive matters. 💜)

The day was similar to a chain of days both of them are used to having quite often. It was tiring, exhausting, draining you of your last piece of energy. It didn't mean it was any easier to bear.

Yoongi walked into his apartment on autopilot and slumped on the chair in the hallway without even taking his shoes off. His head felt fuzzy which he has been battling with for the last several hours. It was piling up like a snowball, slowly becoming borderline dangerous ad he was wearing himself thin. He didn't want to have a breakdown and Yoongi always knew when to stop. He often crossed that line by hours, which happened today too.

He felt the remnants of his energy bleed out of him, making the gravity feel so much more pressing today. He didn't even register right away that he wasn't alone in his flat. Only when he saw two yellow fluffy slippers appearing in his line of vision where he was staring on the floor, he realised Jimin was there. He was home.

- Hyung, you're home! I've been waiting for ages, - he chirped, surely expecting some kind of response.

Yoongi nodded but without verbally responding. He wasn't really feeling like talking. His tongue was like made of lead. After a couple of more questions Jimin must have realized that because he crouched, trying to look the elder in the face. His hands rubbed at Yoongi's tense thighs and he found that he was feeling quite cold.

- Yoonie, it's okay. Let's not talk but I'd really like you to have at least something to eat or warm to drink before you get knocked out. The food has just been cooked! Let's have a look?

Jimin made his funny pleading face which made Yoongi raise the corners of his lips slightly. He let himself be led into the kitchen after Jimin took his shoes off himself. There were no spectacular dishes but there was a nice bowl of rice with some broth and grilled meat.

- Let's sit together, - the younger offered softly.

Yoongi followed and soon the dinner was plated in front of him. Jimin situated by his side and talked about his day, not asking any more questions but rather simply talking, without Yoongi needing to answer anything.

Jimin managed to do everything at once: talk and eat and feed his hyung all at the same time. He kept the subjects light so they could be easily just play as a background.

It wasn't the first time it happened so Jikin knew how to act from the last time. First he needed to separate the peels from the seeds. What was truly important? Yoongi needed to feel as comfortable as possible, feel clean and cared for. So the younger was determined not to leave the elder's side even for a second.

Yoongi seemed to be enjoying the food at first but some time later he didn't seem all that eager. His chewing slowed down and he started scrunching his face at whatever Jimin picked with the spoon for him. That was their cue to move on from dinner.

The younger urged his hyung to get up and gently led him towards the bathroom. After turning the water on, he stripped him of his clothes and Yoongi didn't protest. Instead he showed his pretty tooothy smile. The clothes must have been irritating him but he didn't show it until now.

- What a good boy, Yoonie, - Jimin praised, - Let's get you in the bath and get you nice and clean now?

- I love bubble bath, - he said quietly and Jimin cupped his full cheeks.

- Of course it will be a bubble bath, baby. Would you like to choose a bomb?

He nodded and took out the box full of various bath bombs from under the sink. Jimin recalled how they both just a couple of weeks ago stumbled upon an online shop that had a large variety. They laid in bed together and picked everything that they remotely liked and Yoongi already made plans to use all of them one by one.

Yoongi picked one and then another, and then sniffed at each before moving on to the next. He seemed to be really liking an orange peel and bergamot one and a bubblegum one too. He weighed them both in his hands as if trying to decide which he liked better.

- It's okay if you pick one now we can use another one right the next time. I will remember this, okay? - he said.

Yoongi insisted he wanted to drop it when he will be inside so Jimin distracted him with light touches to his sides and belly while they waited for the water to fill. Yoongi giggled cutely and clutched at the scented ball, then pouting and complaining that Jimin was going to make him drop it.

Jimin laughed along, making sure to always keep his hands on his hyung, reassuring him he wasn't going to leave him even for a little. When the water reached the needed level, Jimin helped the elder get into the hot tub. Yoongi sat there and drowned the bomb and watched at the coloured swirls and foam in fascination. While he was busy with that, Jimin prepared everything he needed for washing. He asked Yoongi about every product, every type of soap and even loofah. He knew Yoonie really liked making choices. He wasn't sure what it was about but he went with that without question.

Yoongi busied himself with playing with bubbles and pieces of peel that came out of the bomb. Jimin waited for the inevitable and soon enough it came: Yoongi tried putting one of the pieces in his mouth. Jimin sat on the floor next to the tub and managed to take Yoongi's wrist just on time. His hold was gentle and he wasn't trying to scold him, the younger simply smiled at him and Yoongi looked a little bit embarrassed.

- It just smelt so good, - he said, pouting, - So I just wanted to try.

Jimin did his best to make his voice as kind and soft as possible.

- Let's not try this, baby? If you want to eat it, I'll get you something with this exact flavor but this will just make your tummy icky.

- I don't like that, - he frowned and let the piece of peel float away.

They sat like that for a bit and then Jimin got to washing. Yoongi diligently sat through all the motions, asking to rub his back more or giggling when the loofah was going over his feet and ticklish toes. He wasn't quite happy with washing his hair but Jimin knew it was just in the beginning. As Jimin explained that he will put up his hand as a barrier so nothing get into his eyes, Yoongi relaxed and let Jimin do whatever.

Jimin, on the other hand, enjoyed washing his hyung's hair. It was long and thick and he liked massaging his scalp to witness the content expression on his baby's face. Yoongi couldn't see it for himself, of course, but he resembled a cat who just got the cream, loads of it.

Yoongi regretfully looked at the bath as Jimin softly coaxed him out of it. He took the towel and rubbed himself clumsily so Jimin took over and patted him dry, wrapping another, smaller towel over his head.

- Are you cold? - he asked when he noticed his hyung shivering.

No matter how rejuvenating and relaxing a bath can be, it was painfully obvious just how worn out and tired he was. He was yawning and there were dark circles under his eyes. Yoongi nodded and Jimin slung another fluffy towel over his shoulders.

After washing his face and brushing his teeth and all other preparations, they proceeded to the bedroom where Jimin pulled the set of homewear clothes on his hyung and asked him to sit on the bed so he could towel dry his hair.

- Are you feeling better?

- 'M sleepy, - he answered, eyes landing on the bedside cabinet. - I want one of these.

There was a stack of ultra pasteurized milk boxes Jimin bought the other day, just in case. He actually got the idea on the littles forum. He passed Yoongi a box and sat next to him, combing through his now semi dried hair.

Jimin wondered how he was coping until this day. Even he felt like he was drowning in a deep ocean. There were so many things, so many details that he needed to know, so many possibilities he had to consider now. How did his hyung manage on his own for such a long time?

He noticed Yoongi was dozing off with a straw still in his mouth. He put the almost empty box to the side and all but put Yoongi to bed himself, lying him on the soft mattress and covering him with a warm blanket.

- Are you going, Jiminie? - he asked, suddenly wide awake.

- No, Yoonie, I'm staying right here.

After everything he's read lately on caregiving, Jimin couldn't even phantom the thought of leaving his hyung alone in this state. And if he was perfectly honest with himself, he wouldn't leave even if he didn't know about it, even if there wasn't such a thing, if his hyung wasn't a little. Jimin would still prefer to stay.

They both were the same in this sense: a warm body next to them was healing better than any remedy. With them being comfortable with each other for years there was no better solution then staying close to one other all night, skin to skin.

I also just want to clarify that while I said I don't think taekook tend to seek each other out to be emotional vulnerable with or don't have as deep of an emotional connection that they have with other members, doesn't mean that I don't think they don't have one at all. They can and do have vulnerable conversations with each other, they can and do share their worries and thoughts and give each other advice at times, they've said so themselves! I just don't think it's a cornerstone of their dynamic and friendship together. They will understand each other in ways that no one else except the other members of BTS can simply because of the way they live their lives as intensely and publicly as they do being part of BTS. All 7 members are going to be bonded in a way through those experiences that no one else will truly be able to empathize with. None of their bonds should ever be dismissed as shallow or anything else that I've seen shippers try to do before too.

Don’t get me wrong. It is disgusting that people make tweets and shit saying that JK is getting fucked by Scooter and BangPD. Those tweets saying that should be reported but where is this outrage when Tkkers, JJKs and KTHs (hell any solo fandom of BTS), says/where saying that Jimin gets fucked daily by BangPd for nothing? Where was this outrage when FACE was released and Tkkers (KTHs and JJKs are included in this) were saying Jimin got fucked by all those producers to get his songs made?

Everyday Armys prove to me that I made the right decision no being an Army anymore and only focusing on BTS when needed. I slow started becoming uninterested in Kpop music as a whole because Kpop songs just don’t really HIT to me anymore. Every damn day Jimin gets so many comments like this for the smallest things but those little 7s never move for him. I knew more than likely Jimin would stay with Hybe and stay with BTS because I know he loves his members, but it sucks see Jimin love Armys so much but they barely move a muscle to defend him. Armys are so quick to get pissed at a Blink or a BlackPink solo Stan saying something bad about Jimin but when other “Armys” or other member solo Stan’s say something, it’s only PJMs and Jikookers who defend him. Yet it’s also PJMs and Jikookers (especially PJMs) who get made out as villains for pointing out how Armys don’t care for Jimin and are closeted Tkkers. It’s only PJMs and Jikookers who get painted as villains even when trying to defend Jimin.

For example, that Tkker on twitter post a comment that said “real love” and it was a video of Jk pushing Jimin away or something like that. An “Army” then replied to a Jkkers or Jimin solo Stan’s (I can’t remember which one) who replied back with a video of Jk pushing Tae away. Then, all of the sudden it became all shipper issue instead of telling that Tkker to stop doing shit like that.

I feel like Armys, KTHs and JJKs don’t understand that the issue Tkkers not Taekook, not Yoomin or any ship involving Jm or JK. The issue is the shippers themselves. If Tkkers stop talking shit on Jimin and Jikook’s relationship then Jikookers would leave Taekook relationship alone and PJMs would leave Jk alone. Like, Tkkers trying to tell us we were insecure about Yoonmin going to eat sushi. Why would we be insecure? Jimin has had 1 on 1 drinks/“dates” with Joon and Hobi (and especially Hobi). I feel like Jimin hung out with Hobi more than anyone. It was about the fact that Tkkers who hate Jimin 363 days out of the year, suddenly care about him.

Tkkers and anyone who is not a Jikooker still don’t realize that Jkkers do not rely on any other ship to believe that Jikook is real. That’s why most, if not all Jikookers only ship Jikook, while Tkkers have to ship Yoonmin one day, then Minimoni the next day, then Jihope another day.

Just hanging? We know they do only because and when they decide to share it with us, like JM telling us he talks to Tae daily. Or when JK and JM told us that JM came to see him on his birthday. Or when Hobi tells us they all (minus one, me crying not on the inside here) met for drinks together a couple of days back.

How many times wouldn't we know of them hanging out if they hadn't told us? Or posted about it? Hobi being our no. 1 source of information (it's almost never JK or JM).

We all should know it.

That's if 'we' would actually listen to them or have an ounce of common sense or not be wishing so much for it to be true (that Jikook are distanced, that they broke up, that they were never close and hence don't spend time together) - yeah, many with their wishful thinking...

Maybe it's better they think that. Maybe that way they would finally leave them alone.

The bell rings to signal another customer has entered, you don’t look up.

Your brows are pinched in concentration as you continue to mix a cocktail for one of your many loyal patrons. Said patron let’s out a low whistle that manages to make your eyes flicker to theirs that are fixed towards the entrance.

Sliding the drink towards them, you finally cast your own gaze to the two males that are currently making their way over to the bar. The soft jazz that plays in the background of your dim lighted establishment goes perfectly with their suave walk as they seem to almost step in sync with each other.

“Lord, have mercy. You’re gonna need it, y/n.”

Your loyal patron then leaves with their drink, and you inwardly curse the fact that they’ve left you alone, but you don’t have much time to think anymore on it as the two gentlemen pull out the bar stools to sit right in front of you. Immediately, you go into work mode.

“Can I get you two a drink?”

“No.” The male to the right, with what looks to be a bored expression on their face responds first. His arms are folded across his chest as he leans back against the back of the barstool.

“Yes.” The male on the left gives a sharp look to his companion, before settling his orbs onto your amused ones. A smile instantly lights up on his face, and you can’t help but return the smile warmly. He leans forward on his elbows and pokes his tongue out the corner of his mouth as he makes quick work of scanning the available liquor bottles that surround your patiently waiting form.

“Tonic water for me and a rum and coke for him.”

Quiet and mysterious decides to speak up when his companion takes too long. You give him a subtle nod and turn your back to begin making the drinks. Once they’re done, you make sure to set them on individual coasters in front of the gentlemen.

“Rough night?” The words come natural, almost ritualistic if you will when it comes to the world of being a bartender.

“You could say that again.” The indecisive one snorts loudly into his drink as he downs half of it, before setting it back onto the coaster. Mr. Tonic just bores holes into his own glass, his fingers gliding around the rim of the glass with a sullen expression. Without looking up, he asks you a question.

“What’s your take on infidelity?”

Sucking in your bottom lip, you pick up a random glass and start wiping it with a cloth to keep yourself busy.

“I don’t see the point in it, honestly. If you’re unhappy in your current relationship, why don’t people just speak up and say so? Why go to the magnitude of sneaking around to meet up with someone? If you’re not happy, and it can’t be resolved, then just leave.”

Despite your best efforts to not let your emotions and own personal happenstance with the taboo topic show, the end of your statement comes out sharp. So sharp, it has Mr. Tonic’s eyes flicking up to your side profile in observation. He watches you pause your wiping for a moment, he sees your eyes gloss over into a memory that judging by the broken look on your face – you would otherwise wish to forget.

Mr. Rum and Coke just hums in agreement, his lips once again secured around the rim of his glass as he takes another swig of the hard liquor. It burns his throat until he can feel the warmth in his stomach. He twirls the glass in his hand and watches the liquid swirl inside as if in a trance.

“Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we all weren’t afraid to speak our minds? No, really." He laughs mirthlessly, pointing the glass lazily at you. His eyes already look hazy, and he's not even done with his first glass. You can tell this guy is a lightweight. "Imagine how better off everyone would be and how much life would feel more fulfilling. Not to mention we wouldn't waste our time with no good, cheating little-”

"Jimin." The hairs on the back of your neck stand on end when Mr. Tonic's voice suddenly pierces through Jimin's rambling, silencing the male completely.

"Sorry, Yoongi. They just get me so angry!"

Yoongi lightly 'hmms' as he finishes off his tonic water.

"Would you like a refill?" You step towards him, grabbing his glass and rinsing it out before setting it back in front of him on his coaster. His eyes flicker down to the dainty, silver band on your left ring finger that he didn't quite notice before, it's paired with an equally as minimal round cut diamond in the center of it. He ignores it, for now, eyes meeting yours once again to answer you.

"Just water, please. I'm going to have to make sure that this guy gets home safely now." He jabs a crooked thumb at his companion.

Jimin splutters, cheeks rosy and glass empty as he shoves the glass in Yoongi's face with a pointed finger and a whiny retaliation.

"Aish. I'm not drunk yet, hyung!"

"Keyword; yet."

"What's your favorite drink?"

He ignores Yoongi's words, even when he knows they're true, and sets his sights on your form. You just finished pouring a cold pitcher of water into Yoongi's glass when you give him a smile.

"I don't drink, actually. Not anymore."

"Wait—let me get this straight. You're a bartender, but you don't drink?"

“I know, right? The irony of it all. But I fell in love with the craft and art of making the drink, rather than drinking it.”

Yoongi raises his glass of water in solidarity with you.

“I’ll have another please!”

“Sure thing, coming right up!”

You grab his now empty glass and rinse it, preparing another rum and coke. As you’re doing so, Jimin gasps in delight and points at the large flat screen tv that overhangs the bar.

“Only 10 more minutes left until this shitty year is over!”

You chuckle at his enthusiasm, setting his drink back down in front of him on his coaster.

“That bad, huh?” You question lightly, not wanting to overstep any boundaries if neither wanted to talk about it.

“Oh, the worst.” Jimin sighs, rubbing his hands over his face. With his eyes now freshly rubbed, he feels more awake then before, and more observant. He notices the ring on your finger.

“Oh! You’re married? Aren’t you sad that you have to work on New Years Eve instead of being home?” He tilts his head cutely, and though you realize he has no idea about your ring, it takes everything in you not to shut down.

Your body becomes tense once again, Yoongi notices. His brows crease with worry when he sees that far off look on your face. He sucks his bottom lip between his teeth, shaking his head at his companion.

“Jimin, you really shouldn’t be so nosy.”

“What? What did I say?”

You snap out of your reverie and force a small smile to appear. Your eyes meet Yoongi’s first, then Jimin’s.

“It’s okay, I’m not afraid to talk about it.” You shrug your shoulders with indifference, then lay your hand flat on the surface between them and wiggle your fingers as you explain. “My ex-fiancé cheated on me with his supposed–,” you then raise your hands, bending your fingers to make fake quotations. “–best friend.”

Jimin leans forward on his hands against the counter as he pushes his body closer to yours. Due to his hazy state of mind, he didn’t realize exactly how much, the alcohol on his breath being close enough for you to smell in the leaning position you were already currently in between them.

“What a fucking idiot!” He gestures wildly at you, his filter officially off. “How could anyone choose someone else over you?!”

You raise one eyebrow at his compliment, a genuine smile appearing on your face. To your surprise, Yoongi joins in.

“He’s right, your ex is a complete imbecile for losing you. Though I apologize you had to go through that.”

Before you could open your mouth, Jimin places one of his hands over yours on the counter and the other on Yoongi’s shoulder, giving your hand a gentle squeeze, his face full of nothing but empathy for your situation— and Yoongi’s, apparently.

“You know, Yoongi just went through the same thing with his ex-fiancé tonight. Small world, huh?”

Yoongi just sighs in resignation, shaking his head at Jimin before confirming with a curt nod.

You wince, sharing a look of understanding with the male.

“Well, if it’s any consolation, they’re also stupid for losing you.”

Jimin chimes in, voice questioning.

“Why do you still wear it?”

You smirk at that, eyes twinkling with mischief.

“Because once I found out the cost of the ring, I kept it for the emotional damage he caused.”

“Is it weird that I’m slightly afraid to ask?” Jimin laughs nervously.

You splay your fingers out in between them, the diamond catching a glare from the light that hangs above your trio.

Yoongi answers, your eyes widen in surprise and Jimin just splutters out the last of his drink he only just began to swallow.

“$10,000.”

“Shut the fuck up!” Jimin’s voice shrills, eyes wide as he stares between you two waiting for you to say he’s joking.

You hum in amusement, head tilting to the side.

“How did you know?”

“No–“ Jimin still stutters in the background in disbelief as you and Yoongi continue with the conversation.

“It’s the same ring I bought for my ex — from Tiffany’s, right?”

“That’s correct.”

“I’ll admit the guy may have no brains when it comes to women, but he does have good taste in jewelry.”

“I’ll cheers to that!” You raise your hand, pretending to be holding a glass and ‘clinking’ it with his real one.

He downs the rest of his drink and sets it on the counter. Jimin’s about to spew even more gibberish, when he gets cut off by Ryan Seacrest’s voice resounding from the large, flat screen tvs that are displayed in various places around the bar.

“Only 30 more seconds until the end of the year, and the start of a new one! Let’s countdown now!”

Everyone in the bar turns to stare at the tv, all except the two gentlemen in front of you who share a side eye, Jimin tilting his head in your oblivious direction and Yoongi nods in response to his silent question.

“20 seconds remaining!”

Yoongi fishes around in the lining of his jacket for a pen he always keeps there just incase, while Jimin discreetly grabs a new napkin from the dispenser and slides it over to Yoongi. He grabs it and hastily scrawls a message that once he’s done, he shows to Jimin who gives him two thumbs up and a bright smile in return. Yoongi flips it over and slides it in front of your still unaware form.

“10 seconds!”

You let out a shaky sigh, eyes closing before reopening as you begin counting down with the rest of the bar, now including Yoongi and Jimin.

“What?” You try to shout over the loud chanting, as you turn your head to face the two only to stop breathing as they both lean in to give you a lingering kiss, Yoongi taking one reddened cheek and Jimin taking the other.

“Happy New Year, y/n!” Jimin. “Thank you for a wonderful time. Hopefully, we can see each other again.” Yoongi. They both say their farewells, one after the other.

With a final, warm smile from both men, and Jimin tipping an invisible hat, they turn and walk through the now crowded bar who are all giving well wishes to everyone around them for the new year.

You go to lean your head against your hand as you watch them leave, elbow coming in contact with a napkin you didn’t notice before. Your eyes first see the words that reads ‘turn me over’. When you do, your eyebrows raise in shock as you read what’s both hastily, yet somehow elegantly written in black ink, eyes once again quickly looking up to see if you can see any semblance of any of the two men within the crowd.

You deflate for a moment when you see neither, but holding the napkin to your chest, you smile with a new sense of hope.

‘Call me and we can get together for another drink, this time, on us.
