John Kramer and The Denlon's

Cracks everything in my body. It's time to yap. I keep going on in many posts about the fact John is just as flawed as those he tries to ''better'', so I want to go over one of my main comparisons in a tad more depth than I have before. John Kramer and Jeff Denlon honestly are very similar when it comes to their backstory and need for revenge due to grief. Even though John always states that he tests people so they become grateful for being alive- It's very obvious in some cases, he's doing it for his own type of gratification too. For example, Cecil Adams who caused Jill Tuck to miscarry and then Cecilia Pederson who scammed John. He didn't put these people in traps just because of his philosophy, but because they were also very ''close to home'' for him.

The loss of a child is very integral to both John and Jeff's character. Both of these men crave justice.... However, the way they want it and how they achieve it isn't exactly the most healthy thing. It leads both of them to neglect their partners, Jill and Lynn. (Just took a break to eat leftover spaghetti I am legit lost in the sauce- I don't plan out these little rants I do, so I just go where rambling takes me.) When it comes to the major differences between them, Jeff is more rage fuelled, at least in how he carries himself. His anger manifests more verbally and physically than John- Which is his downfall, alongside him not listening or acting when needed. This is a bit of a reach, but another thought nonetheless and nothing I say needs to be something I'm 100% on anyway. Danica Scott, the only other witness to Dylan's death didn't cause Jeff's son's demise, however her lack of action and fleeing the scene made her someone Jeff would want to take revenge upon anyway.

Amanda, although she had more involvement with Gideon's death, seeing as she was the one to convince Cecil to rob the clinic, didn't take physical action either. However, outside of her just being a drug addict- It is debated whether or not John always knew about her role in Jill Tuck's miscarriage, another reason for her to be tested.

We've also got basic comparisons such as the fact Jill and Lynn are both in the medical field and having mentioned Lynn again? Her demeanour is more like John than anybody else I have brought up in this post I'd say- I can't really word well why I think that, but it's there anyway. (Another thing to add is how in Saw 3, John in his delirious state starts getting confused and thinking Lynn is Jill.)

Might as well slip some others thoughts in here too whilst I'm fucking rambling this much- I don't have too many complex thoughts on Jeff Denlon I guess, I basically seem him as an example within the Saw universe about a person who cannot let go enough that it results in his trauma and vengeance taking over his life and ending it too. He's not a evil or terrible man, just very flawed. He had some of the physically easiest traps in the franchise to complete, but because he never made an effort to heal and instead remained stagnant within his grief... He takes too long to take action and morally flip flops all over the place when it comes to what decision he'll make- It's that or he doesn't assess the long term consequences of things such as never forgiving. I personally don't think he ever has to forgive someone like Timothy Young- However, I do believe he let's it impact his life and those around him too much. Corbett didn't deserve the neglect she faced and she herself is a child grieving her sibling. Grief and forgiveness are very hard topics to navigate, but I honestly as a viewer felt the most bad for Corbett more so than Jeff or even Lynn. Coming back to Lynn, I believe she ''learnt'' the most or at least came to terms with things faster within her trap than Jeff. She didn't have time to dwell or not be fast paced with her choices, because her life was connected to John's. She was doing her best not only to stay alive, but to get back to her family even if it was dysfunctional. (Me when I come back to this in my drafts weeks later, time to attempt to find the wave length I was on whilst doing this before.) It's an interesting though to picture different people in other traps. For example, if Lynn was going through Jeff's test. Would she have reacted faster than him and made clear cut decisions? Could she forgive? Jeff is no medical professional and his rage wouldn't let him care for John to the best of his ability so we know he'd fumble that, which is why I'm more so focused on Lynn in his test. Lynn's grief is more ''subtle'' compared to Jeff's and as an audience it's hard to pinpoint what her thoughts and opinions of those involved with her sons death would've been. She turned to antidepressants and her fractured marriage led her to having an affair, not to mention the child neglect. But when it comes down to it, we don't see as much as a drive for revenge and justice within Lynn as we do Jeff. This would mainly come down to screen time, setting and general context but it's an interesting thought of how she'd handle someone like Danica or Timothy if they were right in front of her.

This is why I say she learnt the most from her test compared to Jeff in his? After everything she went through with Amanda constantly up her ass and power drilling through a guys skull- All Lynn wanted was to reunite with her family. Like, the only time we see Lynn exert full physical violence is in a deleted scene where she attacks Amanda.... And even then that is because she wants the key for her collar more so than a drive to murder the other woman. On all accounts, she actually won that scuffle as well.

But then for example Jeff when he finally encounters John? He just can't help himself! Lynn literally is on the floor bleeding out, reaching for him not to leave and this man just can't NOT go and fulfil his need for vengeance. He'd literally just acted upon it before too by shooting Amanda, though that is more understandable giving the context of the fact she shot Lynn..... I think overall this is why so many people dislike Jeff but they just can't word it? Like he's been dubbed ''slow ass motherfucking Jeff''- But it's not really the speed of execution, it's either the lack of long term critical thinking and or the fact he's indecisive? Jeff doesn't have the weight of a contraption around his neck and or his life truly on the line like his wife.... However, somehow Lynn is still managing her test better than him with a freaky little lesbian on her ass and doing backhouse brain surgery on some random old dude with a fucking power drill. I'll also bring up the fact that like John and Jeff, Mark Hoffman has a pretty similar drive and motive to the both of these men. Just like how Jeff saw his sons death, Mark saw the aftermath of his sisters murder for example. All three of them feel justified in their actions against those who have wronged them and etc....

And as I always bring up in character studies like these, the perceptions from the audience are so interesting- Especially when you start comparing characters. It will come as no surprise when I say, I am a pretty active Tumblr user... Through this? The interactions with media and popularity of characters from Saw on this platform are decently clear. First I'll get it out the way that screen time plays a big role in making characters fan favourites. Although, Adam is a subversion to this as he's only in one movie (alive) and likely the most popular Saw character- Anyway! Using John, Jeff and Mark as examples here still... As previously stated, these three men can be considered quite alike in some aspects! But our perceptions of them are quite different due to how they're presented and what we know about them. John is an older sickly man, his life being cut short by the fact he has terminal cancer. His wife miscarries and later on then becomes ex-wife and then also somewhere down the line he gets scammed by a fake cancer treatment....All in all? Dude's kinda got fucked over. But what I haven't mentioned yet in this brief is the fact that whilst most of this is going on, peepaw is designing elaborate death traps and testing people in them slash indoctrinating some into his fuckass ideology! He as a character get's quite a neutral response and or a 50/50 split? He's Jigsaw, the face of the franchise.... There is a decent amount to discuss in regards to him. However, when it all comes down to it it I wouldn’t say he’s favoured as much as other characters.

Moving to Jeff, he witnessed his own son get killed in a hit and run and the grief and injustice of that basically made him spiral into neglecting himself but also his family. He cannot move forward from the loss of Dylan and this is why during his test he is so slow to act- I think one thing to mention here too, is this is something John likely accounted for. Jeff’s test is designed for him and the challenge isn’t that of " OH CUT YOU ARM” it’s for him to overcome his grief and to choose whether to forgive or let those involved with Dylan’s passing die. It’s easy for us as viewers behind the screen to think that he could’ve done almost everything faster. But we’re not Jeff. It’s shown time and time again mentally he just cannot move on and the only reason he is making progress though the test is due to its nature, average therapy? Jeff just wouldn’t go because he refuses to confront HIMSELF in regards to his own grief and would rather wallow in fantasies of revenge.

Mark Hoffman? Obviously the case I’ll bring up with him is that of his sister's murder. Angelina is his only close relative, with no other mention of Mark’s family in the franchise really. So, when she is killed in a case of domestic violence and he also sees her dead body? Yeah, that’s certainly the kind of thing to fuck someone up mentally. Which is why Mark then developed a drinking problem to cope and started to display more erratic behaviour such as shooting a man three times who’d actually surrendered beforehand…. By the time Seth Baxter his sister's killer is released from prison via a technicality- Mark has no quarrels with taking his revenge via abducting him and placing him in a Jigsaw like trap. However, as we all know, this trap is by no means escapable and is only being used by Mark as a scapegoat to get away with murdering Seth. This act then kickstarts his life as an apprentice for John when he himself is abducted.

Prison Time for Trump is needed and this Why...

Y'all, I just did the math (if I did it correctly), I just realized something Trump could get 136 years in prison!! Because each of 34 counts comes with a maximum of 4 years if the Judge decided that Trump should do them separatly boom 134 years! Which fingers crossed. I know that highly unlikely but still the thought makes me so incredibly happy!! However I do think the Judge should give 'No Longer Teflon Don' some prison time.

Here's my thoughts on that. Because no matter the amount of time it's gonna fuck with Trump's head psychologically, as I see it. He's gonna be put in handcuffs taken out of the court room, hopefully. Put on a prison bus, once again hopefully. He's gonna be taken to a prison, maybe it be white collar or please let be federal prison. They're still gonna take all this clothes from him and anything that he has like his expensive ass watch and everything else he has on his person. Then they're going to strip searching him, which I feel extremely bad for whatever prison guard that may end up having do that. Give that man bonus, no joke. That's gonna have to do that. But still just that experience is going to be humiliating and demoralizing which I'm sorry he deserves in my opinion. Maybe but doubtful it will teach him some humility. Then they're going to make him get into whatever color jumpsuit, may it be orange, oh please Jesus let it be orange! Then those he going have to put on those lovely prison shoes. Then they're gonna take his ass to a cell where he's gonna have a celly no doubt. Hopefully its someone that fucking dislike him strongly and not one of his MAGA asshole. And then they're going to close the cell door. That sound alone I would imagine would have a profound effect on him mentally. Because he's the arrogant, a narcissist, egotistical, sociopathic. In that prison he's just like everybody else. He's can't stand up there thinking he's the big man having all his loyal MAGA cult followers screaming and cheeringfor him. That's going to mess with him like nothing else. And put him on a level with what he considers common people is going to mess with him in a way that nothing else ever could. Because he won't get special treatment, the prison guards aren'tgoing to treat him better then the other prisoners shit they might treat him worse if he acts up. Ithink it's so important that it happens to this motherfucker. It's time he brought down to the level he deserves. The level he's been running from forever. Because has anyone seen him now? I have no by choice, just watching the news and of course he's all over the news. He looks so defeated, pathetic, sad, old, beaten, tried, as he would say zero energy. Trump likes/loves power far too much either far actual prison time with more criminal trials down the road he'll use that power to make sure that don't happen. See the whole I want to President again is just a Red Herring, to distract everyone from his criminal trials and a way to make them go away.

Once again I'm saying something I've been saying since before Trump became President the first time omg I'm tried. But anyway. Trump doesn't give a flying monkey shit about anyone but himself! Not the us the American people, not our Foreign policy, not climate crisis, not gun control, not education... nothing!! The only reason his sides with the Conservatives is because they kiss his ass. I completely understand why us on the left will not. But it does put us in the position of Trump not doing that we need him to do. He's still a total bastard to her loved ones - He's still a sarcastic bastard but now in a much more entertaining way

She sees through him and tells him that he might like getting punished (kinkyyyyyyy) but she doesn't need a dog

He says she's in love with him again - He asks her to repeat her confession or he's not gonna stop trying to snog her

She slams his damn head into a mirror - She jokes she doesn't remember what he's talking about

He's completely feral for this girl - He captures her and kisses her against a wall 😭

There is a group standoff scene where she has her switchblade to his torso and then his throat

They both know she can use it on him (because she already did once) but there's more sexual tension than dangerous tension (even while surrounded by like 40 people including both of their families)

I have a feeling she's gonna be revealed pregnant and it's going to add SO MUCH MORE drama

So let me just say quickly that bnha 427 and 428 are some of my favourite chapters for a reason, let me explain real quick:

I do appreciate the fact that Izuku sat down and had a one on one with Spinner and followed though with Tomura's final request. It won't bring his friend back, but I hope that his words gave Iguchi some closure.

Also I love that in the bottom panel he now appears to be emulating both Shigaraki and Dabi. The past never dies, and he'll make sure they're never forgotten. They will live on through him, and his possible comic! (Wouldn't it be wild if Horikoshi pulls a 180 and Spinner's comic ends up being BNHA but told in their universe? Jk I think I'm reading too much into it, but that would be an interesting twist)

Izuku really has changed. I believe him when he promises Iguchi that he'll remember his friends and that he has no intention on forgetting them.

Also, Spinner's final message to Shoji is perfect and very fitting. I'm okay with this being our final shot of him. I'll miss him 💔

Honestly. This is a fitting conclusion for the last time we see Overhall. Good to know that not every abuser in this series gets off easy. He has to live the rest of his life out knowing that he isn't forgiven by the person he respected most, and now he has to live with the rest of his actions. Also, the man is right. Eri deserves the apology, but I'm glad that she won't ever have to see him again. She'll move on and hopefully forget him, but he'll be reminded of his crimes every day for the rest of his life. Honestly, pretty glad with how things turned out for Overhall.

All and all, the last 2 chapters we solid, after 426 I cried for a while afterwards. 427 still hit like a ton of bricks, but at least there was a hopful undertone to it... poor Touya didn't get that. I don't think any of the Todoroki's are walking away from this truly happy. I appreciate the realism but christ it hurt to read...

I think 429 is out so I'll be reading that next and letting you know what I think!!

🎭 Lying headcanon for Asriel/Flowey

(Headcanons still from the same ask game that you can totally ask me questions from if you so desire)

What Asriel does post-pacifist is he downplays how much he cares.

How much he cares for Chara (though he certainly wasn't lying at first when he said he didn't forgive Chara, this is later when they start being nicer to him again. It was Chara who started this animosity by the way, but it's like ... "Oh, you don't forgive me for killing everyone, you hate me, huh? You never wanna see me again? Well, okay, then, I don't forgive you either, I don't wanna see your stupid face ever again, Fuck off!" And then he proceeds to see Chara over and again for the next few years until the animosity fades on both sides, because Frisk and Chara share the same body and it turns out he likes Frisk more than he hates Chara. See this is why I prefer the buttercup plan being a betrayal of a previously good relationship because being sort of forced to interact with a best friend you had a massive mutual falling out with is somewhat funny, but being sort of forced to interact with your relentless bully of three years is just fucking awful)

for MK (MK is impossible for anyone to dislike, trust me, Asriel tried at first to dislike them, mainly being jealous of their friendship with Frisk, but MK was kind, endearing and positive enough that he feels really bad about it (and MK’s reaction to bullying just isn't funny, they just brush him off and y'know...it later becomes very obvious that Frisk is definitely not leaving him behind),

for Toriel(he still really likes his mom, I am pretty sure he greatly prefers her to Asgore, and that's who he lives with, even if it might be a bit awkward living with her alone first it feels somewhat nice, doesn't it, to return home? And in the underground, he was hanging out in the ruins when Frisk came...with Toriel, though that might be just because he was looking for souls, and plus...the skeleton fam are always next door, if he wants to spend time with Frisk or Papyrus),

for Frisk (Caring and bright, like MK, but certainly not a goody two shoes by any means. Down for chaos and trouble, you mess with Frisk and they mess back, and that's just what Az likes about them. They forgave him when he didn't forgive himself, saved him when he still believes he doesn't deserve to be. (Though Frisk uses it constantly to win arguments and the like... Or Frisk is always allowed to pick the first movie on movie night because "no murder" privileges, Frisk gets the last cookie because "no murder" privileges, Frisk gets to ride shotgun because "no murder" privileges, and if there's a limited supply of something, Frisk gets the first pick, once again cos' no murder privileges.)

Who... understands about the presence of Chara and about the resets. And well...I often think about Chara and their "best friends", that one person they see as an equal above all else. But, well, Asriel has his own issues and he has his own best friends to feel weirdly intense about. In the underground, he idolizes Chara as that person...the exception to all the noise, the one person he feels that he can still care about, a potential partner in crime. And I think post pacifist, he kinda latches onto Frisk in the same way, at least to start with. In this case, it's paired with a crush but it doesn't have to be, for example with Chara, it evidently wasn't.),

and finally for Papyrus(still his idol, in the fifth anniversary thing, one of the people we know for sure that Asriel interacts with apart from Frisk is Papyrus, much like MK, I think Paps can be so kind that it starts to make him feel bashful and be significantly less likely to be cruel or act up, unlike Frisk and Chara who bring out the fire in him, either playfully (Frisk) or genuinely angrily (Chara). Also since Frisk lives with Paps, he'll come over just as often to see the skeledad as to see the skelekid, lucky of him to have both favourite people live right next door and in the same house. Why doesn't Az live with them then.... Because I like Friskriel. Also because living with Frisk would mean living with Chara, and neither Asriel or Chara want that (you can also see why he would be less than thrilled to see Sans every day of course).

He'll give gifts anonymously, hide his face away so Frisk doesn't see him blush at them, downplay or backtrack on compliments (or just mumble them), make excuses for caring actions, can be very clingy but never in public(and if you ever see him on Frisk's shoulders, it's just because it's easier than the pot, not cause he wants to be near Frisk or anything, or sometimes it's "Frisk paid me" liar). He's not a little weenie who "cares" about people, it's just because.... uh...

You know, general tsundere stuff.

And (apart from the blushing thing) this isn't just specific to his crush on Frisk but to every relationship he has. He has a reputation to maintain, he doesn't want to be teased, he always wanted to be "strong", to be seen as a "big kid" and that still goes now even if he's done trying to impress Chara or act cool for their sake. (Now, honestly, I think he might be trying to impress Frisk and MK, even though Frisk doesn't care and actually likes the fact that he's kind of a dork and MK is... actually pretty easily impressed, in fact, and is probably more annoyed when Asriel is mean, partially in an attempt to be "cool" and "tough" and "uncaring".)

Though Gramble may seem completely sweet and innocent, he'll still go to the ends of the Earth to make sure the ones he loves are safe and in good paws. He hates to leave you in Sprout's old play area on the beach, but it's the only way the others won't be able to hear you asking for help! Listen, this is for the best, okay? You're family and he loves you! He's doing this out of love. 

He visits often, making sure to equally split his time between you and the barn in town. Gotta make sure his little ones are taken care of, too, you know? And the others would get a bit suspicious if he just up and left town again. He can't just let them find out and try to take you away! 

Wiggle would likely feed into Gramble's behavior, being incredibly giddy at the thought of having you all to themselves. Oh, her Gramble is so smart! She loves to have picnics together in Sprout's old pen, the little Strabby circling you and the couple as they serenade you. Wiggle is absolutely filled with motivation and excitement - imagine it! An album of love songs all made for you and your shared love. Isn't it romantic?

And if you direct Sprout a little too close to any launch pads, the couple make sure to corral or shoo him away. Wouldn't want him getting loose and trying to lead someone in town back to you, would you? Shush, it's okay! You'll realize this is for the best soon enough!

Beffica had been lonely for a long time. Abandoned by her friends and given the cold shoulder by the others in town (likely for good reason), she was elated to find that you considered her hood company! You! Someone she admired! It was so fun talking with you, snooping and spying, or just hanging!

 … Although, she couldn't help but feel the need to brace for the other shoe to drop. One day, the others would get to you and get you to see her as a monster! Beffica couldn't allow it! Those squeebs didn't deserve your time, anyway. Especially not Filbo. She'd threaten or blackmail anyone getting too close to her Bestie… Or something more, if her hunch that you felt the same as her was correct. Nothing a little more snooping couldn't solve!

Cromdo is the type to project his feelings onto you. Saying stuff like, "Your crush is cute, but don't get any ideas," or, "We make a good team, yeah! But, er, that doesn't mean I wanna go pick out curtains." He cares for you, but either deflects or hides it behind jokes. He's had a rough past with Grumpuses he's cared about before. He doesn't want to get burned again… But, ah, hell! You're too cute for him to resist! The moment he gets that Mothza Supreme, he's hitching that baby to your ship and sailing outta here! With you tied up, if need be. Er, the moment he fixes it, of course! Did you really think he went up there just to do the wiggle every night?

Shelda is so sure that Mother Naturae has destined you and her union! At least, so she says. Whether she believes what she says or not, it certainly cements the idea in Chandlo's mind, leading her student to follow you around like a puppy and excitedly telling you that, "You and Shelda are meant to be, dawg!" 

And though she does love Chandlo as her pupil, Shelda calls you her most prized pupil. A kind heart, a keeper of the path, and someone so willing to help her. She's incredibly touchy-feely, too, to an uncomfortable degree. C'mon, you know you'd be perfect together. Might as well speed up the inevitable, dear.

Funny Thing Called Fate Ch. 7 (a BakuDeku Omegaverse Au)

Chapter 7: Inconveinent Fate

It had been days and Izuku hadn't come back to their dorm. His lingering scent was nearly gone now and Katsuki found himself missing it. He wanted to apologize and try this whole thing again. Even if Izuku rejected him now he'd understand.

He had been a terrible alpha to him and if he were an omega even he wouldn't go for someone like him. He deserved to be alone despite what his best friend said to him.

But he was starting to grow worried. In between classes he checked to see where Izuku could have gone and found no trace of him.

He was just...gone. But his items were still there so he had to be on the campus somewhere. He was hiding out somewhere else.

Shoving his hands in his pockets he head down the hallway, following his nose for any scent of his omega. Finally near one door he caught a small scent of Izuku.

He looked at the door. This was Ochaco and Tsuyu. Katsuki had seen his omega talking to Ochaco a few times. Maybe she'd know where he went.

Wait....not his omega. He wasn't his.

He knocked softly, hearing someone inside. Sure enough Izuku's friend opened the door, peering up at him and a hardness came over her brown eyes.

She knew something.

“Yes?” she asked, trying to at least be a little more respectful to the RA there. “Can I help you?”

“I was wondering if you've seen Izuku my om-roommate? He's been missing for a few days and I'm worried about him.”

“All you need to know that he is fine and doing better without you,” Ochaco said, the frown settling on her face.

“What?” he asked with a scowl.

She didn't answer and started to close the door. He braced it open with his arm which made her even angrier.

“I need to talk to him? Where is he?” he said, desperation on his face.

Her eyes flicked to something bethind the door and then she shook her head.

“Look. When he's ready to talk, he'll find you,” she said to him. “Which may be soon or may very well be never. Goodbye.”

The door closed in his face and Katsuki felt his anger rise. He huffed softly and he shoved his hands back into his pockets, storming away from the door.

At least Izuku was alright...so to speak. He didn't believe it at all. There was no way Izuku was alright after that...

Or at least that's what he wanted to tell himself.

Izuku let out a breath from behind the door, letting out a sigh. Katsuki was worried about him. He wanted to talk to him. He thought he hated him but he had sounded desperate.

But he really didn't feel like he was ready. He wasn't sure if he was ready to talk to him ever after the pain that he felt.

This combined with their past just was too much for him.

The door opened again and he tensed but thankfully Tsu stepped into the room, tossing her backpack on the bed.

“Why do I smell angry alpha out in the hallway?” she asked. “His phermones are so strong it's stinking up the whole place.”

Izuku's eyes widened. Katsuki forgot his scent patches in his desperation to find him.

“Katsuki came looking for him. I told him to get lost more or less,” Ochaco said. Izuku let out a sigh, sitting down on his cot as he curled up in his makesfhit nest.

“Ah. Well here Izuku. I picked up the request form for you” Tsu said. “It's to transfer to a differnet room.”

Izuku held the paper.

“Thank you,” he said staring down at it. Once he filled this out and turned it in he would be assigned to a different room. He would have a different roommate and then Katsuki would have someone new in his room.

The thought alone made his stomach turn. Katsuki would have a new omega perhaps. One that could be the one that Katsuki would fall in love with.

But he couldn't stay their either. The hatred from the alpha had been suffocating. There was no way he wouldn't end up going into a drop if he was there. The girls had helped keep him afloat in their room all this time.

But surely he had overstayed his welcome despite them saying otherwise.

“I'll look into getting it done later,” Izuku said, setting the paper down in his bag. “I want to repay you two for your kindness you've shown me. I don't know what I would have done without the two of you keeping me afloat.”

“Izuku you're our friend. Of course we'd take care of you,” Ochaco said. “And you don't need to rush. It's okay to stay here longer. Heck I'm okay with you staying till we get all reassigned.”

“Wait, we automatically get reassigned?” Izuku asked.

“All unmated couples do,” Tsu chimed in. “We could all put in for a three person bedroom. That way you won't feel guilty about staying in here with us.”

Izuku felt a small smile form on his face.

“I like that idea,” he said. “But it would cost us more.”

“Izuku I wouldn't have mentioned it and Tsu wouldn't have agreed to it if we thought money was an issue. We'll be fine. Just think it over okay?” Ochaco said.

Izuku fought back tears and he wiped at them with his sleeve a bit, nudging his glasses up on his head a bit.

“Thank you. You two are the best friends a guy could ask for,” he said. The two smiled at him and came over to hug the omega tight.

His stay extended Izuku knew it was time to get some of his things again. He had to get clean clothes as well as more things from his nest. He would slowly be moving some stuff out of the room and using the old room as more of a storage place for now.

After all it wasn't like he could be staying there.

Ochcaco wanted to come with him but Izuku knew he should do this by himself in case. Plus the two of them had class and Izuku didn't want to wait for a fresh clean pair of underwear to change into after a hot shower.

He swallowed, hoping Katsuki wasn't in the room as he turned the key to step inside. He still couldn't face the alpha right now.

As he stepped inside thankfully it was empty but Katsuki scent permeated heavily. He closed his eyes, inhaling gently and shivering. Why did it that he still had such an affect on him?

He smelled no one else in the room. Not even himself. Everything that he had there was left where it had been.

Even Katsuki's bed was still the same from where they had left it days ago.

Was the blonde not staying in the room either?

Shaking his head he forced himself further inside to his old nest, starting to pack his bag again so that he could get out of there quicker.

What he hadn't heard though was the key turning in the lock.

And the door opening.

“Izuku,” came his voice from behind him.

Izuku froze, slowly turning to peer at the alpha as he stepped in, closing the door behind him.

He had been found.

“Katsuki,” Izuku responded, turning back to what he was doing. Get his stuff and get out of there. He couldn't stay much longer If he did he might be tempted to stay.

And his little bit of progress would go backwards.

“Where have you been? I haven't seen you in days,” he asked, taking a step closer. Izuku took a step away closer to his nest as he shoved another hoodie into the bag.

“Around,” Izuku said, zipping up his bag and finally looked at the alpha near him. He froze, swallowing a bit.

He was pale, heavy bags under his eyes.

Did he lose sleep because he wasn't in the room?

“Are you okay?” Katsuki asked. Izuku snorted a bit and he hoisted his bag up onto his shoulder.

“After what happened, you really think I'm okay?” Izuku asked with a small laugh, heading for the door.

Katsuki caught his arm and Izuku froze.

“We need to talk,” Katsuki said to him. “Please.”

“What's there to talk about?” Izuku asked. “You made it clear that nothing would be happening between us. I'm just not being in the picture to make it easier for you.”

“That's not.....” Katsuki said and then sighed, letting his hand go. “That's not what I wanted at all. I didn't want you to disappear.”

Izuku inhaled slowly, Katsuki's scent seeping in and he held back a shiver. That was different. Why was he reacting? Shouldn't he be angry?

“So what did you expect me to do? Sit in the room and watch you have someone else while my heart gets beaten down again and again? No thanks,” Izuku said, opening the door and then stumbled back as a wave of heat rushed over him.

He let out a gasp, dropping his bag as he held his head.

“No...not now,” Izuku whined a bit, shaking his head. He had been away from the room for a few days and he had forgotten his suppressent medications. His heats were always hard on him so the doctor recommended the medication.

But now without it was coming. And coming fast.

“Izuku?” Katsuki asked, coming closer to him.

“S-stay back,” Izuku said to him, his pupils widneing and feeling his body tremble. He had to get to the heat center. Quickly.

“Not until you tell me what's going on,” Katsuki said and grabbed his wrist. That was all it took for Izuku to be taken over by his heat.

He gasped. Turning towards Katsuki and launcehd at him, hugging onto him tightly and letting out a gentle purr.

“Alphaaaaa,” Izuku chirped at him, rubbing his cheek against his chest and looked up at him, his cheeks red.

Katsuki was no idiot. He knew what was going on and it made him flush himself and rest his hands on his shoulders in a panic.

What did he do?

“Will you help me?” Izuku asked, biting his bottom lip. “I've never shared a heat with anyone before but you're the only one that I've ever wanted to share a heat with.”

Katsuki closed his eyes. He wanted to hear these things from Izuku like this but not when he was literally in heat.

“F-” Katsuki started to say but Izuku cut him off by cupping the back of his head and pulling him down for a kiss.

Izuku hummed sweetly against his lips, arching himself against the blonde. Katsuki inhaled sharply, pulling back a bit.

“Hold on,” he said.

Ah can finally reply! Please don't feel rushed to reply right away either, I understand if your busy! :)

Oh I like both options for her! Though her considering herself a Tully first, but still taking the Bracken side in petty disputes is pretty fun! XD Little Samwell being a mama's boy and taking being a big brother so seriously is just the most precious thing! I also love her validating his feelings and trying to teach him there's nothing wrong with befriending a Bracken, she down't want her son dragged down by all the needless hate and rivalry!

Oh what a terrible death he'd loose her too! I can understand lord Blackwood's grief, that he would even prey to the seven for his wife to recover, but no good sees fit to show mercy..and her death even shaking his faith in his own gods! He'd be feeling bitter, angry, & lost while deep in grief and needing someone to blame. Blaming the Brackens in any way he can can't hurt her now, so he grasps onto it! Blaming their clearly cursed blood for the old gods cruelty. And as much sympathy I have for him, it go's out the window as soon as he slaps little Willem! In his anger & grief he forgets his sons just lost their mother as well and need him, it shows his selfishness, his dark streak, that Willem will sadly end up inheriting :(

Ooh I love that being told to the Blackwood children! Makes so much sense it would have been taught in the past, when taking back the north could have been a real possibility! And even if the current adults would know it'll never happen, it's still a good lesson to the children in their eyes, reminding them to have pride & stay strong.

Ah this is a good idea~ Love the detail of how the Starks wouldn't tolerate a Blackwood marrying into house Bolton under their noses! They likely keep the Blackwoods out of the north pretty damn strictly for a few generations at least. The Brackens however are free to marry into any northern house they please, and the Boltons becoming such good riders through them is a nice touch! 

I can't say how much I love Samwell looking at Amos and thinking "yeah he's the one who'll fix my brother" And him comparing Willem to a horse to Amos, he knew what he was doing XD Amos just praising Willem until he fools himself into believing it! How could Willem have reacted when Amos first starts praising him? Love Amos putting his foot down and holding to his threats too.

Damn they make the most of their time together for sure! Can't blame them though, as both get older they likely have fewer chances to get away from praying eyes, especially with Amos being heir.

Oh poor Samwell & Willem D= I do really feel for Willem's heartbreak & regret…but at the same time knowing what he'll later do, it conflicting. If only he could have moved on and tried to find love again, maybe he could have healed. Him burning the letter isn't a good look, but kind of understandable? Not him pushing Davos to fight the Brackens though.

And poor Davos, fearing he'll be made a Rivers again if he dosn't make Willem proud, and all it earned him was holding his love as he died in his arms :'( Him then lashing out in grief and taking his anger at himself & Willem out on Raylon sadly makes sense, and that he can't bring himself to hurt him the way Willem wants him too is at least a small mercy. I can't imagine how much worse it'd be for Raylon if his beloved cousin's own lover was the one to use him in such a way and betray Aeron's memory.. And Raylon lashing out right back at him! Because how dare he act as if being captured like this would have been any better a fate for Aeron?? If he'd call Davos a powerless coward & Willem an evil bastard then it'd be pretty well deserved =/

Poor Amos, he could handle personal torment at Willem's hands, or at least he'd try to bare it for his house's sake..but the thought of Willem becoming a lord to his house would torment him so much more. And what reason would he have to believe the Tully's would refuse such a request after he fought for Aegon? He could still have hope once they get to Harrenhall that he could convince lord Tully to take his head instead, to spare his house from Willem and free himself in a way, only for it all to blow up in Willem's face!

And poor raylon too, it couldn't have been easy on him to admit what was done to him, in front of all the Riverlords & his father at that! D= Love Amos wishing he could have killed Willem himself.

Ooh I love the change of Oscar being the one to send Raylon back to Stone Hedge for his own protection! A little hint of Oscar/Raylon perhaps? ;3 (i'm loving all these new little ships for oscar btw! benjicot, aeron, & now raylon x3 ) And him choosing to send Davos with him as a hostage is a good choice! Imagine once they get to Stone Hedge, Davos is just waiting for the guards to come in and hurt him like Raylon was hurt, assuming he'd want revenge? Only it never happens, Raylon later visits him and claims he refuses to stoop as low as that monster Willem?

Oh np! Heh the punishment would really be more for Aeron loosing his temper & acting in anger than fucking Davos, we know they Brackens don't play when it comes to that anger! And Davos yelling about how he's a man grown while laying over Amos's knee is just too funny x3 And the comforting hug afterwards, you know Davos nearly tries to brake out of it, out of pride if nothing else, but gives in and just choose to enjoy being close to Aeron while it lasts. 

1) Oh yeah it'd be a real act of arrogance to leave a Bracken in the Blackwood stables! But to be fair lord Blackwood would never expect his own sons of helping their captive escape >w> And got to respect Willem's audacity, "i'll only help you escape if i get to fuck you" like damn…he's lucky Amose would find him cute enough to just take up the offer and not give him a well deserved punch to the face. Pff imagine part of Amos agreeing is him just going "fine, take me right here and now in front of your brother & horses if you dare!"  He'd just be calling Willem's bluff, doubting he'd actually follow through..which would be his mistake.

2) To think of how relaxed & at peace Amos & his wife would have been during that picnic, just enjoying rare time together with their little baby :'( And Willem having it in him to feel horrified not just for Amos but his wife too, shows that he wouldn't have sunk too deeply into his own darkness at this point. I imagine he keeps Raylon close to Raventree Hall as he grows up, not wanting the Brackens to get a good look at him & become suspicious. Oh and once Davos starts meeting up with Aeron, even he would notice all the little similarities and begin having questions?

That's actually one thing I love about the show, is how damn good they are at making the characters truly look related! Like while Raylon dosn't have the sterner nose & jaw of Amos, he does have his wavy hair.  He also has a similar nose & high cheekbones to Aeron, along with his long-ish hair. Or course Aeron ios still prettier , but Raylon is cute enough!

Grab some snacks this is another long one. Lady Tully/Bracken/Blackwood and her mom kind of got away from me. Kind of like a wild horse who didn’t want to be tamed……oops and uh Samwell and Willems fucked up childhood also got away from me. This a monster of a reply. Sexual assault mentioned, physical and psychological abuse. Rambling middle part. Mentions of sex. Older brackenwood, some Davron, some Oscar x Raylon and Raylon x Davos. Oh yeah child abuse. Read at your own risk.

It’s the only way that lord Blackwood can stomach being married to a Bracken, half her blood is diluted by Tully blood. But much to his surprise he also loves the wild stubborn streak that she gets from her Bracken mother. Her mother didn’t talk to her father for weeks after the betrothal was announced between her baby girl and a Blackwood. Her mother might’ve pulled her aside and told her if lord Blackwood ever hurt her, all she needed to do was slit his throat in his sleep. The soon to be new lady Blackwood was horrified by that thought, she didn’t want houses Tully and Bracken to fight her husband’s house. She knows it would cause a full out war in the River lands.

Anyway back to lord Blackwood, it takes him half a year to fall half in love with his wife, she really cements his love for her when she gives birth to Samwell. She not only gave him an heir but she gave him a prefect mix of them both, baby Samwell has his dads light brown hair with the undertones of red in certain lighting, he also has his mothers deep blue eyes; when grows up his hair starts to gently curl again pulling from his Tully side. Lord Blackwood had never seen a more beautiful baby, he also makes a vow to try and only show his light side to his baby.

Three years later she’s pregnant again, but this pregnancy is harder than it was with Samwell. Toddler Samwell picks up on his dad’s worry about his mother, and decides that he’ll just be near her the whole time he’ll protect her from anything bad. Plus he gets to constantly talk to the babe in her womb telling it that yes the world is scary but he’ll protect them at all costs. Samwell was the only one with his mom when her labors started, she knew he was terrified so she told him to go find his father and the maester that he would be the most helpful big brother/son if he could do that.

Samwell finds his father outside talking with the scouts, the Brackens had been accused of sneaking into the Blackwoods lands and hunting. Samwell normally would hesitate to interrupt his father, but he knows his mom needs him to be a brave boy and interrupt his father. Lord Blackwood is pissed that Samwell is pulling on his shirt like he does with his mother’s skirts. He goes to slap Samwells hand away when he notices the fear on his face, and asks him what’s wrong, just thinking that he’s too much like his mother. When he hears that his wife is in labor and is asking for him and the maester, he sends a scout to fetch the maester. Also for the first time since Samwell was a one year baby does lord Blackwood pick him up, he justifies it his mind by saying that the toddler can’t keep up with his longer strides and time is of the essence.

By the time lord Blackwood and Samwell reach the birthing chambers the maester is already inside and the scout is outside telling lord Blackwood he’ll watch little Samwell. Lord Blackwood readily agrees and Samwell goes to the training yard where he’s given his first wooden sword so he can start practicing his swordsmanship, which in turn will enable him to protect the babe better. Back in the birthing chambers the maester, has figured out why this labor is harder on lady Blackwood, the babe is coming feet first. He offers to cut her open to get the babe out faster, and to put her out of her misery, but thankfully lord Blackwood won’t have it and says if he suggests that again he will kill him.

In the very early morning hours, two loud cries and one soft cry could be heard. Willem had finally made his entrance crying and red faced, lady Blackwood is crying from the pain and joy of finally getting to hold her new baby and well if the maester saw lord Blackwood wiping tears from his eyes no he didn’t. It’s only after he gets to hold Willem does he realize that the only thing he inherited from his mother is light blue eyes, but even then his eyes have some of the brown from him. Willems hair is just light brown and as he grows it won’t curl like Samwells. Since Willem looks so much like himself, he’s going to be more active in raising him to be a true Blackwood. Yes Willem still has some gentleness from his mother, along with her wild Bracken streak, but the gentleness won’t last.

Samwell is proud to be a big brother, but is also worried about his mother’s health. He’s not a stupid little boy, as him and Willem grow stronger with each passing year, their mother only grows weaker. Deep in his heart lord Blackwood blames Willem for causing her Bracken blood to curse her health. He prays everyday for years at the heart tree, asking the old gods to return her back to health. But it’s not time for them to worry yet.

On the good days lady Blackwood takes her sons close to the Bracken borders and shows them the other Bracken kids play just like them, so they’re not scary after all. It works well with Samwell, especially since they both know that he’ll soon be forced to stand watch at the borders. But Willems darkness is starting to swallow the light in himself, Willem is told he is a Blackwood and to not trust a Bracken daily by his father. Willem is lord Blackwoods shadow, just like Samwell is lady Blackwoods.

When Samwell turns 9 he is sent with Blackwood guards to stand watch for the first time at the borders. That’s when Samwell meets Amos, he knew that little Amos was a Bracken but he just saw a child get bucked off a pony while the adults were busy yelling insults at each other. So Samwell does the only thing he knows what to do, which is channel his inner big brother ways and goes to see if the little Bracken is okay. Once he gets Amos to calm down, he tells him that he just wants to make sure he wasn’t severely injured, he sees a minor cut but knows he can’t help too much so he tells the adult Brackens that Amos just fell off his horse and has a cut. They thank him for altering to his cut, and take Amos away to be thoroughly checked over by their maester.

Samwell tells his mother about how he helped a Bracken today while he was on guard duty. She tells him she’s proud of him, and maybe he could be become a big brother figure to the little Bracken. Samwell agrees because he felt that the little Bracken needs someone to talk to that’s close to his age. So Samwell and Amos spend the next year befriending each other, Amos rides close to the border to practice his skills and get encouragement from someone outside of his house. The month after Samwell turns 10 is when his mother’s sickness gets worse.

Lord Blackwood spends all of his free time praying at the heart tree, when that doesn’t work he goes to the sept to pray maybe the seven will save her. It takes another month of her suffering for her to die. Samwell is old enough to know that death is permanent so he knows that she’ll never come back. But Willem doesn’t understand the permanence of death, so he asks his father when his mother will wake up. With his wife dead lord Blackwoods light is gone. His faith in his gods is shaken and now he knows that the Brackens new gods are useless. That they have cursed through Brackens into weakling. So when Willem asks about his mother and gets slapped Samwell pulls him aside to comfort him. Willem doesn’t cry he won’t let his Bracken blood take over.

The last merciful act he gives his wife is to bury her body outside the sept, a loc of her hair in front of the heart tree and burns her favorite dress in the way of house Tully.

Lord Blackwood also teaches his sons the history of their house. That they came from the north, they were Kings until the Starks kicked them outand so they have to be tough, proud and angry. The other northern houses won’t tolerate a weak house like the Brackens. Also they must never give up the old gods, like the Brackens did. And although Brackens are allowed to marry northern does not make them better.

So when Samwell is 13, he’s deemed old to really start learning how to rule his house he’s taken away from guard duties at the border. He also knows that Willem will take over the guard duties, and he also knows that Amos will meet him. But Samwell also knows that after Willem came back from court, he was changed having killed a Bracken without getting in trouble. Samwell also notices Amos is quieter than usual and learns that his older brother Jerrel had been killed at court, by a Blackwood. There’s not much that Samwell can do other than warn Amos that his brother Willem is like a wild horse, praising him goes farther than yelling.

Amos keeps that in mind when he meets Willem for the first time. Willem is a lot like Davos, will come running up to the very edge of his lands to yell at Brackens. Amos doesn’t startle like how Willem expects/wants him to. No Amos just stands there and says yes? I am a Bracken, what do you need/want? His response completely throws off Willem, he’s ready to fight a Bracken and maybe even kill another one, he’s proud of killing Jerrel.

When that intimidation tactic of just angry yelling doesn’t work, he tells Amos that he killed a Bracken earlier this year in court and got away with it. Amos is hurt, he’s reminded that his older brother was killed by a Blackwood, but he doesn’t let that show. No instead Amos says that Willem must be the bravest Blackwood ever. That he’ll be the best fighter and able to protect Samwell easily. Willem practically melts under Amos’s praise. He’s used to his brother praising him, he mostly thinks it’s to build his confidence because his father never praises him. Lord Blackwood always has a harsh word ready for Willem, no matter how well he does in the training yard, he could do better/be faster/more brutal on his offensive. During his studies the maester would tell lord Blackwood that Willem has gotten top marks on everything but he missed one question and that’s enough for him to be hit he needs to be perfect.

It’s a month of watching Willem, watching him practice his swordsmanship, and reading a history and heaping praise before Amos starts to actually believe what he’s saying. It takes him two more weeks to realize that he wants Willem. So his praise slowly shifts into compliments about how handsome he is, how his muscles are developing nicely, how his eyes are such a pretty shade of blue mixed with brown, and how although his hair maybe close to straw colored it’s more beautiful than any straw. Willem preens under the new compliments, it’s only after he mentions them to Samwell does he realize that Amos is flirting with him.

Willem is not subtle about flirting or anything close to it so he just bluntly asks Amos if he’d like to make out? There’s not much to do other than stare at each other. Amos is surprised, but readily agrees that was his goal in the first place to see if Willem liked him like how he does.

On Amos’s 16th name day is when they finally go all the way. Up until then it’s been strictly making out, hand jobs and blow jobs, and occasionally a finger in the ass. Willem is the one who asks Amos if he’d be willing to actually fuck, maybe as a name day present? So after talking it through and Amos agreeing, Willem tells him to meet him at midnight on his birthday in the old mill all Amos has to bring is himself Willem will take care of everything else.

Willem has Samwell help figure out what to bring to the mill, and even helps him set up a nice straw mattress in the mill. Amos arrives promptly to the mill, and is shocked by everything Willem has brought. He sees candles, a small cake, a straw mattress, flowers and a vial of scented oil. Amos tears up a little thanking Willem for being so thoughtful, Willem playfully pushes Amos while telling him to shut up, he’s just returning the favor. Willem had turned 16 the month prior and Amos had gotten him a cake and some wildflowers. Willem also points out that it’s their first time so it should be special. They become addicted to each other after their first time, every night shift they are in the mill, exploring each others bodies and taking turns on who’s ass is getting fucked.

Amos is still pretty reserved when he fucks Willem, he doesn’t want to hurt him, but Willem likes it rough if he’s not bruised and sore the next day then did they really fuck? So he starts petty fights before Willem fucks him, if he does push him a little too hard Amos tells him to back down or he will leave Willem wanting. Willem instantly backs down because he knows Amos doesn’t make idle threats and he’s already been left with blue balls once by Amos and he didn’t appreciate it. But Willem being Willem, ie doesn’t really know when to stop, he accidentally lets slip the name of the Bracken that he killed. Amos feels disgusted with himself that he fucked and fell in love with the Blackwood who killed his brother.

Amos barely containing his anger at himself and Willem tells him to leave, he doesn’t want to kill him but he will if he doesn’t leave right now. Willem tells Samwell what happened between him and Amos, Samwells heart breaks for all of them. His brother lost his future with his love, along with the hope of their kids marrying each other and being able to love the other, and it also breaks for himself he’s just lost a dear friend. The only relief Samwell feels for Willem is the fact that their father is dead, Willem won’t be beaten for loving a Bracken and crying about losing that Bracken. Samwell sends a raven apologizing and says that he wishes Amos well.

More time passes and Amos hears a rumor that Samwell fathered a bastard, he doesn’t pay much mind to it. It won’t affect him or his son or his nephew Aerons lives. 8 years pass after the rumor of Samwells bastard birth and he hears that Samwell has fathered an heir named Benjicot, Ben for short. Again it makes no difference to Amos, he’s too busy raising his nephew and Raylon. Aeron is 10 the first time that he is sent to watch the border lands. He’s the only child there for 6 years. It takes Samwells death and Willem becoming acting lord for Ben, who is still just a child, for him to send Davos out.

Amos had sent a letter wishing his condolences to Willem and Ben. But Willem still burnt it, Amos is the reason he never married nor have any heirs so it gets burnt without being open. Willem also demands that Davos fight the Brackens for their pride and for their queen. Davos does and also loose the love of his life. So of course he embraces the darkness, especially when Willem says that Daemon ordered them to attack the Brackens and the small folk.

Willem is the one that captures Amos while Davos captures Raylon. Davos swears that Raylon is Aeron come back to him just with shorter hair. So when Willem orders Davos to chain him up in the dungeons he doesn’t hesitate, he just wants to talk and prove that Raylon isn’t better than Aeron and that Aeron should still be here. Willem constantly says that Raylon is a bastard to get under everyone’s skin. Davos won’t sexually assault Raylon, he leaves that to his men, but he does secretly like’s to hear him cry and scream for the men to stop. Raylon does eventually tells Davos he’s glad Aeron is dead if only to be spared this fate.

Willem always lies to Amos and himself, when they lay together in bed. He says that he knows Amos wants it, it doesn’t matter that Amos is crying before hand or that he’s chained up he wants Amos again. When he tells Amos about what’s happening to Raylon, Amos starts to sob harder, his son should’ve been spared that treatment. It’s also around the time that Willem starts to leave marks, even the visible ones, Daemon and Oscar have summoned Willem and the captured Brackens to Harrenhal. On the move Willem makes sure everyone knows Amos belongs to him.

Oscar is disgusted by Willems actions, he doesn’t want to hear about how house Bracken should belong to house Blackwood he has Daemon execute Willem quickly. Amos curses Willem before his blood is even wiped off the blade and continues to his dying days. Davos is only spared that fate because Raylon speaks up about how he never touched him he just talked. Oscar still wants to execute Davos, but he doesn’t want to traumatize Raylon even more especially since he thinks Raylon is cute.

It’s how Oscar decides to send Raylon back with Davos as a hostage, he’ll just psychologically abuse Davos with the threat of death hanging over him if his brother doesn’t obey him. Davos is used to threats Willem always told him he can easily turn back into a Rivers if he doesn’t obey. Oscar sends Davos and Raylon on one horse, he can’t spare a second horse, even though it makes his blood boil to let Davos touch Raylon constantly.

After they’re sent back to Stone Hedge. Amos is forced to confront his men, to ask if they can still follow him after what’s happened to him? His men tell him of course what happened to him was not of his own volition, so they don’t see him as a weak leader. While still awaiting orders from Rhaenyra, Raylon and Davos make it back to stone Hedge.

Davos is taken to a guest room, where he is let free of the chains and fed well. When night falls Raylon enters with the guards stationed outside, Davos assumes that he’s about to assaulted just like Raylon was. But to his immense relief and surprise Raylon states that he’s not like Willem or Davos nor would his uncle let him do that. He just wants to know what Davos saw in his cousin Aeron, to make him go against house Blackwood and Willem? Especially since Davos is a bastard? Sure he was legitimized, but that status could be taken away easily. Also why did he and his uncle and their men call him a bastard?

So Davos spends time explaining how Aeron made him feel safe, heard and validated his feelings like no else had. How much he truly felt loved and how he was the one to hold Aeron as he lay dying. He also gave Aeron his last kiss, since he had also been his first kiss, truly a full circle moment. Raylon thanks him for explaining and for also being there to comfort his cousin in last terrifying moments.

That same night Raylon sends a raven to Oscar and Amos and has Davos send Oscar a raven, all three letters say that they made it and they’re safe. But in the letter Amos Raylon also explains that Aeron was in love with Davos and Davos returned those feelings, it explained why Davos never assaulted him.

Oscar doesn’t care for the letter from Davos, all he cares about is hearing that Raylon is safe and sound and healing. Amos sends up a prayer for Aeron, thanking him for saving his son the worst of the abuse that he could’ve suffered by Davos. Oscar is ready to march to end this war and make his way over to Stone Hedge, to make sure Amos gets there okay and to see Raylon again while having come be his cup bearer. Or something along those lines he just wants Raylon close.

1A): the spanking. Aeron files away the thought of spanking Davos at some point, not that either one was turned on by Amos but just that it might be fun. When Davos gets sent back to Raven tree hall, he makes up that he was caught by the Brackens and held hostage for a couple of days. But not to worry he beat up his captures so there’s no need to fight the Brackens.

1B): Lord Blackwood thinks it’s fitting since Amos smells like horses anyway, never find the fact that he doesn’t, so might as well just stick him in the stables. Samwell is just too kind to be sent to guard Amos alone so Willem comes along to make sure that Amos can’t escape. It turns out that lord Blackwood needed to worry more about Willem, he’s weak for a pretty looking man even if it’s a Bracken. So when Amos asks for help to escape Willem demands Amos allows him to fuck him. Samwell is scandalized but Amos thinks he’s bluffing so agrees. Willem pushes Amos onto his hands and knees, it’s not pleasurable for Amos they had no oil, and it’s the first time he’s being mounted like a mare would be by a stallion. Samwell is disgusted and leaves to stand guard while also pretending that he isn’t hearing skin slapping skin, it’s only the horses making noise. Lord Blackwood never does find out how Amos escaped, just calls his boys idiots. Nor does he know about Willem and Amos fucking every chance they get. Samwell does and he’s traumatized by the knowledge.

2): Willem had hoped that it was quick for Amos and his wife, and that Raylon was too young to know what had happened. Raylon is almost like rapunzel, he’s allowed outside in the court yards of Raven tree hall but isn’t allowed further than that.

Davos is the one that starts to point out how similar Aeron and Raylon are. But Willem tells him it’s just because Raylon was fathered on a Bracken bastard.

Who ever makes it to the end congrats you’re a real trooper. Also glad you enjoy my unhinged thoughts.

I like how the first half of the season is directed on saving the TVA, as opposed to last season's agenda of destroying it. The irony is way too funny.

Gotta say that Loki, Mobius, B-15, D-90 (?), Casey, and O.B. running the TVA is the best thing ever. They're all amazing together. I hope Sylvie decides to come back this episode and stick around. Looked like she was thinking about it.

♖ — Do people, in your muse’s opinion, ever really change? Do they believe themselves to be capable of changing?

Yes, Eggman does believe people can change into better or worse. He knows for a fact because he sees how it has happened to people all the time, like members of Sonic and co and even his grandfather. He knows he could change any time he wants if he tried and wanted to as well. But at the same time, he'll say not everyone deserves a second chance or are capable of succeeding in it for nefarious reasons.

For example, he might try to trick someone who is trying to change for the better into thinking that they can't, to try to get into their head and plant a seed of doubt that makes them consider if they can't be good and evil is all they're good for, so they'll be on his side. Or he'll do it to try to turn those trying to give them a chance against them, again to convince them to be on his side and use them for evil.

When it comes to his creations/other artificial beings, who he also knows can change as they turn against him like Metal Sonic or even join the side of good such as Omega and Emerl- he won't let them if he can get a hold of and reprogram them. Like how we see him try to force Emerl to work for him after joining Sonic and co, and how he'll surely restore Sage to her evil red instead of blue Sonic influenced self.

On the other hand, he'll also take advantage of the truth that people can actually change in as sinister and cruel ways too, by attempting to trick people into thinking he's a good guy/wants to change by swearing he'll try to turn over a new leaf, just to trick or betrays/backstab and mock them for their naivety, like he did with Sonic, Knuckles, Emerl, etc. (Though Sonic doesn't actually ever believe it)

Eggman doesn't believe that he himself can change despite how he really could because he doesn't want to. He never says he couldn't at least try, he says he won't because he's stubborn, arrogant, firm in his ways, too deep and certain it being who he is and what he wants. He's genuinely happy and content with that, nobody can change his mind because he knows he's evil and acknowledges and embraces it.

What I like about Eggman is that everything he does is purely by his own choice and will. Nobody forced him to be this way and he could choose to stop or become better at any time and knows but he doesn't. Sure, various things in his life may have had an impact and further influenced his desires and goals in life, but in the end nobody forced him and they're all his own decisions. He is fully responsible for his actions.

The only reason he doesn't believe he can change is because he doesn't even try, and he doesn't try because he doesn't want to change. He would need the desire to but that would result in him being the opposite of who he really is and doing the opposite of what he wants in taking over the world and ruling and controlling everything. He knows he's evil and his actions are diabolical and enjoys and embraces it.

There is nobody or anything else that could change him either, no matter who they are and what the reason is. He's a narcissistic arrogant stubborn man that can't understand other's perspectives of not liking what he does. He'd have to want to change as he can't be convinced and he obviously doesn't want to do anything for others' sake either. The most you'll see him give others is when it involves his personal gain!

And the only time he will ever entertain the idea of changing in any way, shape, or form is when it's a trick where he'll end up tricking them and mocking them if they actually believed for a second that he could ever change. And being able to fake it so well and still not genuinely consider or desire wanting to do it for real proves how much he really doesn't want to even though he knows he could. He loves being evil!

He does like to change other people though- but for the worse and to make them evil like him, of course! This is actually canon because he has encouraged the tainting of one's soul with evil like with the dark Black Arms gas he encouraged Shadow to breathe in Shadow 2005, and he has tried mind control/brainwashing such as in Colors. This is another reason why he knows people can change and takes advantage of it.

He has a lot of power and influence that they could never have over him because he knows that whether they actually want to or not, he can trick, manipulate, brainwash, and corrupt them to force them into it. And he does it in ways that nobody ever could succeed in doing to him to turn him good because they don't have the intelligence and skill and his own genius and determination is much too strong for it.

I really like how much Eggman's selfishness, determination, and passion for being evil shows in every single asset of his character, including why he is the way he is and why he doesn't want to change. And how he can take advantage of literally anything and anyone to get what he wants, including when it comes to how people can change, whether it's to fake it himself to trick them or turn them evil for his selfish benefit.

It's really fascinating stuff! 💜

“Da-ge,” Lan Xichen tried to calm with a hand on Nie Mingjue's arm.

“No, I know you said to let him figure it out himself, but as you can see, my brother is a complete idiot. I love him, but he is.”

“Da-ge,” Meng Yao said warningly.

“No, don't think I don't know you're just trying to win the betting pool.” Meng Yao pouted but didn't even deny it.

“What are you even talking about?” Nie Huaisang asked, confused beyond belief. Because there should not be a betting pool that he didn't know about (or organize).

“Didi.” Nie Mingjue faced Nie Huaisang squarely. “You are the only person in the fucking universe who hasn't figured out yet that you've been in love with Jiang Cheng since you both were boys developing your golden cores. No, I'm wrong – you and Jiang Cheng are the only people who don't know because he doesn't know he's in love with you either, and the two of you have been driving us up the wall for over a decade now!”

His Jiujiu angrily sat on the bed next to Jin Ling and let out a huff of frustration – he was long used to his Jiujiu being angry at anything and everything, and he didn't think he was angry at him. “Enough with the I don't knows. You're not Nie-zongzhu, so tell me what's been bothering you or else I'll break your legs.”

At the mention of Nie-zongzhu, however, all he could think about was Chifeng-zun's head in the secret mirror room, sad and lonely and far from his brother. He began to cry and he tried to wipe his tears away with the sleeve of his sleep robe, but his Jiujiu got there first, using his own sleeve to wipe the tears and snot from Jin Ling's face.

“Did Nie-zongzhu do or say something to you?” His Jiujiu looked confused – probably because Nie-zongzhu couldn't hurt a fly. “Tell me what he did? I'll go beat him up so he'll never do it again.”

Jin Ling shook his head. “Nie-zongzhu didn't do anything, Jiujiu. It's...” He cried even harder as he remembered everything he'd seen. “It's his brother. Chifeng-zun. He's sad and lonely and he doesn't deserve to be, not if there's a chance he can see his brother again.”

Jin Guangshan had often thought his son needed a little more backbone, but this wasn't the time. “I can't believe you would even ask this of me. Didn't Wei Wuxian bring you enough trouble at Cloud Recesses, and now you want to risk our disciples to save him?”

“Whatever my problems with Wei Wuxian, he and Lan Wangji saved all of our lives by holding off the xuanwu so we could escape. Is that not a life debt that needs to be repaid?”

“I'll lead the charge,” Jin Zixun claimed haughtily. “And I dare any Wen to get in our way. I'll show them what happens to those who dare mistreat the Jin.”

“That's exactly the reason you're not going,” Jin Guangshan snapped. “The last thing we need is you to start something we can't pull back from.”

5 - Nie Mother's Day Drabble - Gen, the Nie bros and their moms, The Untamed/MDZS

“I made this for you, Mama,” he said, slipping a flower crown over her braided hair.

“It's beautiful, A-Sang.” She wrapped her arms around her son and lifted him up, cuddling him close as he giggled in glee.

He Yaling came over to her side, Mingjue still slung over her shoulder (though exhausted after his tickling). She ran an affectionate hand down Huaisang's back before pressing her temple to Nie Ziniao's. For her part, Nie Ziniao reached behind the other woman to playfully tug at one of Mingjue's braids.

It was a good day – uneventful, but the sort one remembered on cold, heartless nights to keep themselves warm and feeling loved.

There was a crash in the room and the terrified wail of a nine-year-old child. Nie Ziniao brought Nie Mingjue over to the doorway. “Stay right here, A-Jue. We'll get A-Sang to you, and the moment you have him, you get him out of here.”

He wanted to argue but he knew he would be of no help, not in the condition he was in. He watched helplessly as his mother's saber swung to block every strike her husband made. Nie Ziniao managed to circle the room while he was distracted, retrieving her sobbing child and carrying him over to the doorway. Just as she was handing him over to Nie Mingjue, she screamed, almost dropping Huaisang as she fell to her knees.

She shoved the two boys through the doorway with trembling hands as blood spread out from her side where a hunk of broken wood had impaled her, and used all of her strength to grab the door and close it lowering the metal bar with a clang.

Jin Zixun's lips twisted in a smirk and he continued leading the disciples away.

“Huaisang, what are you doing here?” Because they both knew that he preferred to sleep in most mornings.

He was about to try and make up some sort of excuse when his eyes focused on the throne behind Nie Mingjue... and the fluffy grey cat that had just alighted there, its nose sniffing at the sect leader's braids. The Lan to his left began giggling softly, and from his angle, he could spot Lan Xichen doing his best to keep a straight face and only barely succeeding.

The grey cat seemed to be done sniffing and finally struck forward, taking one of Nie Mingjue's braids in its mouth and pulling at it as if it were prey. His brother yelped and jumped out of the throne, looking back to stare at the creature that looked at him back with eyes filled with outrage before taking off running again.

unpopular opinion: i don't think that oc will ever be able to be completely rid of jungkook because 1. he is always going to be the father of their daughter and son because she can't undo the fact that he'll always be their father and while she had been majorly forced and coerced by jungkook into having them, it's not her decision to decide whether she wants jungkook to be in their daughter and son's life as a father. plus, jungkook seemed like a decent grandfather spoiling his "granddaughter" with expensive gifts so he might do a 360 and decide to clean his act for his other 2 children and 2. what if her ex-husband wants to have a role in his sister and brother's life? yes, he was fooled by his wife and father but he created a bond with those children, loved and raised them as his own. i don't understand the whole fighting for custody concept because the whole jeon family wasn't bad to her and i do believe that their daughter and son should decide if they want their dad in their life.

i'm already sad for oc's husband and mother-in-law. they did deserve better than the people they had married.

Oh she doesn’t plan to take them out of their lives but she needs to make sure that Jungkook won’t do that to her because with the way that Jungkook is he could very well cut her out of their lives very easily.

She has no intention of taking them away from Jungkook, her ex husband or her ex mother in law when things finally do come to a close.

Fighting for custody doesn’t necessarily mean that she will have sole custody of them and she’s fine with 50/50 but Jungkook could argue against it. She wants to at least have 50/50 so that’s what she’s fighting for.

Jungkook is so obsessed with having his heir and someone to carry on the Jeon family name so there’s absolutely no way she could take them away.

She is fully aware that he’ll forever be a part of her life but in terms of oc actually seeing and spending time with him or anyone in the Jeon household that will be to a minimum.

I’ve answered other asks where it explains that he loses interest with his children when they get to a certain age and he’ll do that with his new son just like he had done with oc’s husband when he was young.

With his daughter he will become overprotective and possessive when she gets older and especially when boyfriends start to come into play so that’s not going to be a good dynamic with his and oc’s children either.

He’ll be a “good dad” when they’re little but again lose interest and become a toxic parent later on leaving their children to ultimately be more attached to her and oc’s ex husband.

Yes they did deserve better and oc deserved better too. At the end of the day I really wish that she would’ve married someone else because then all of this could’ve been avoided 😭

So the following is my opinion on the Loki S2 finale spoilers ahead.

So I've been seeing people call Lokis finale act selfless and he went from most selfish to most selfless and I have to disagree heavily at least for my perception.

Loki started selfish but not as bad as everyone else claims. He got Thor delayed coronation because either he wanted the throne or he wanted Thor to grow first and save Asgard from someone not ready for the throne. As the movie goes along Loki discovers why he's the least favorite and why they treat him differently and he snaps. He becomes angry and bitter. With one revelation his world cracks and he knows he's a bargaining chip with Laufey and now he doesn't trust anyone because there's a millenia old cosmic joke on him. Even his mother was in on it and admits it. The one person he thought he could trust. So he massacres the Frost Giants and Laufey because he wants to be loved and trusted by his family. He wants it proven that he's good enough. That he's more than another stolen relic but he also hates himself and it seems like an act of self hatred. They hated the frost giants, they hate him so burn it all. Then the golden child returns seeking his righteous throne that he doesn't deserve. A few days on Earth and suddenly he's some wise being? He appears and reveals what Lokis done. He's ruining everything so he doubles down and goes to annihilate the frost giants and then the idiot goes and ruins it. All he wants is the same love that Thor got. The love he was denied. He's always been less than but if he can do this and wipe out their worst enemies, his blood then maybe he'll be worth it. But Thor wins. Odin saves them. Loki begs and pleads, "I could have done it father! For you! For all of us!" And the worst things that ice runt shivering in the cold could hear after all he's done, "No, Loki." And with one sentence he realizes it'll never be enough, he never will. And he lets go. He casts himself into that void ready for it all to end. He's a monster and everyone fears the monster that parents tell their children about at night.

Then he's tortured and doing Thanos bidding. There's no saving him and no one wants to. Thor appears to take him home and instead of wondering what happened he immediately attacks him and yells at him. He suffered so much and he might as well get the throne since now he knows no one will love him. All he can do for himself is get a throne. But now it's just spite and anger. They ruined his plan, rejected him so he will take a throne. He will rule like he should have been allowed. If Thor hadn't been in his way or he hadn't been stolen.

Then he's defeated and returned to Asgard where once again he's greeted by Odin. Once again he's reminded how not his son he is. He did exactly what Odin would do and he's punished for it. Humans are fleeting and an easy species to conquer so why shouldn't he. But no Odin can't let his slave get the throne and locks him in the dungeon. He never had a chance and he's angry and bitter. He feels he has no one, he barely trusts his mother. She lied too. They all did. She tries to reach him, and get him to be honest with himself. He stays true, Odin isn't his father. "Then am I not your mother?" That's the question that hits the child right in his heart. He has a choice, accept his weakness and love her or let his anger and disdain and hatred for Odin and Thor win. "You're not." He says reluctantly and painfully. "Always so perceptive of everyone but yourself." The last words he ever hears her utter to him. She sees his pain and knows the child she cared for is still there. He's told she's died (whether he knows he caused it is unknown I believe) and he loses it. The last person he could ever care for and trust. The one person hevcwred for. She's gone. He's angry and broken and he seizes the chance to make her murderers pay albeit with the fun of jesting Thor. So he fakes his death (also he literally saved Jane and idk if he did it cause he liked her or cause he still unfortunately cared for his brother). Anyways his death is faked so time to remove Odin. He takes the throne and Asgard prospers for years until...

Thor shows up again and ruins his plans. He'd gotten rid of Heimdall, he was good and then ruined again. He's dragged to go find Odin and it seems that they've mellowed a bit while they travel to Odin. Then Odin finally gives Loki validation and acceptance and love... but only in his final moments. Hela appears and Loki saves him and Thor but are thrown to Sakaar. Loki has favor with the Grandmaster (ever the opportunist) and plans to get Thor off world (because he does care unfortunately). But then he sees an opportunity again and he can't deny himself because he only has himself to rely on. He can't chance it. He'll throw Thor not because he wants to but because he needs to. But then he realizes that he doesn't have to keep putting himself first and Thor finally had shown he cared and Loki accepts (albeit rushed fuck Ragnarok) his love for Thor and Asgard so he goes to save them. He takes the role of savior and saves them all (and grabs the tesseract because self preservation bitch).

Loki saves them all then Thanos appears and he knows what he's capable of. So he tries (knows he's likely to fail but fuck it what more could he lose) to kill Thanos. He can't lose Thor so he loses his life.

Then TVA Loki discovers it all processes a lot and then tries to trick the TVA and get back to Thor all while gaining more power for himself. So he goes and manipulates and claims what opportunities he can and ends up befriending Mobius and once again offered with opportunity or a real connection he chooses opportunity and self preservation

So he meets Sylvie. He sees her and gets to know her and falls for her because she's just like him in her own way but she's different. She's someone on his level and he grows to care for her. They actually have meaningful conversations and it's actually stimulating. It's thought provoking. He falls for her because she's special. Then the TVA captures them and Loki has finally found a connection he doesn't want to lose. He's found companionship and someone he can rely on (kinda). Then Mobius interrogates him and while at first he doesn't believe him eventually he does. Mobius trusts him and is pruned because he trusted him. Loki lost his friend but he has Sylvie and he cares for her and then he's ripped away from her too.

He appears at the end of time surrounded by himself and he realizes that they are forced to be villains and to be alone and to lose. If they can seek connection, pruned. If they get power, pruned. If they are any form of not dastardly they are pruned. They are destined for this and it's heartbreaking. And ever the rebellious trickster he is he fights back. He seeks the audience with the timekeeper so he may take hold of his destiny. He refuses to have strings pulling him. So he and Sylvie work together to get to He Who Remains and this is where he realizes that yet again his connection is fake. That to everyone else he is untrustworthy and unlovable. He tells her he does not care about a throne, he tries to tell her she's not alone and he understands (prolly what he needs to hear most people say to others what they themselves need to hear). He doesn't care about a throne, he just wants her to be okay. He finally chooses connection over self preservation (well besides for when he saved Jane and then Thor in Infinity War but who cares)

They fight, he admits his love and he's cast aside. He then suffers through a reality where none of his friends know him. He's alone again and he's seeking Mobius desperately his best friend left. He explains it all and Mobius accepts and helps him. He's not upset at him for failing he just wants to help him.

So they go through the season trying to save everyone. Loki wants to find Sylvie, to know what happened, but to also know if she cares at all about him. She wants a life. She cares more about living her life after millenia of running and hiding in Apocalypses. Who can really blame her. But Loki needs her help and she needs her life. He knows he can't make her help him and they go their separate ways. So he and Mobius go on their adventure and Loki tries to be a good friend and ask him real questions and be to him what he was to Loki. They find Timely and Renslayer and Loki fights Sylvie again. He fights the person who made him truly choose connection over self preservation. She's hellbent to kill Timely but Loki finally has other people he cares about and he won't lose everyone else. She betrayed him and he understands but he won't lose everyone, not again. He's lost his world before, never again. But eventually she helps him and they go to save the loom. But it's too late. Timely dies and then everyone is wiped.

Loki ends up alone timeslipping again. He's dragged to his friends, he sees who they are supposed to be and he learns that his connections aren't just weakness. His connections end up being his guiding light and he saves everyone. He talks to Sylvie and she makes him confront that. He knows she's being selfish and she knows he is too. So she makes him admit it. He wants his friends back. He saves his friends and goes back to the loom. He doesn't care about all of reality, he cares about the people who care about him.

He learns and endures and gets them where they need. He learns that the loom won't work and then learns why. HWR always had a plan. If Loki wants everyone safe he has to kill Sylvie. He has to kill the person who made him capable of getting to this point. So he refuses. He beats HWR at his own game.

He goes to talk to Sylvie and explain what's happening. She tells him what she believes and it's what gets him to do what works to save everyone he cares for. They have to have free will. They have to fight back. If he kills her they'll never have that. Loki knows he doesn't want to let anyone make another call for him it's what's happened all eternity and he knows Lokis are always tortured. So he listens and finds another way. He goes to talk to him most reliable and consistent person. Mobius tells him what Mobius needed to know. He tells him what Loki needs to know. That the glorious purpose he wanted to make all the pain he suffered worth it, what Odin wanted, what Thanos made him seek, what he sought when he had no one, that its more pain for his already tortured soul. Loki knows that Lokis are destined to lose but they always survive. He makes the hard call. He wants his friends safe. He wants everyone he loves in all existence safe, even if it hurts. So he knows what he has to do. He takes one last look at them all then one last look at the 2 people who made it truly possible. "For you. For all of us." He breaks the loom, gathers the dying timelines and breathes life into the multiverse and sits alone atop his glorious purpose. It was never about everyone. It was always about him, and what he wanted. He knew there was no way to get what he wanted, so he did the next best thing he could. He saved his friends and took the heavy crown of his glorious purpose because at least then he can see them and know they're okay and safe. He saved the people who saved him. Everyone else was just convenient.

Is Talon essentially defected from Noxus now or do you think the division of power makes his status to the empire subjective? (At least, do you think Katarina considers him a traitor?)

considering marcus' association with the black rose became openly known by the empire with his attempt on swain's life and, in turn, that talon's unquestionable loyalty to him is known to katarina, as well as soreana's own association to the black rose being known for a while (if the implication swain had something to do with her poisoning is true), and talon's last known location being shurima after returning to sore, i think it's reasonable to assume he'd be seen as an enemy to noxus.

ultimately, although the crusade against the black rose is often framed as swain's, he's not undertaking it alone. the rose imo would be seen as an enemy to the entirety of the trifarix, and anyone with as blatant associations to it as talon now has, seen as an enemy (or, at least, someone to be closely watched; talon himself didn't manifest any obvious loyalty or involvement with the rose at large, despite everything). he may not be branded an enemy of the empire outright, but i don't think there's much about his status that'd be subjective beyond that. like, on darius' part, he doesn't seem to be as involved in fighting the rose (it's not his type of threat to deal with imo), but i don't think the rose is less seen as enemies due to that, as wouldn't be the case for the faceless either (in my opinion, ofc, and why i have a hard time believing they'd be someone connected to the rose).

as for katarina herself (and, since you posed this question relative to his status to noxus i'm assuming you're interested in her opinion as part of the trifarix), acting as the faceless, she would see him as an enemy. not gladly, by any means, and not irrevocably, perhaps, but as of now she has no reason to see him as anything but. the end of the comic also suggests she was going to become heavily involved with the conflict against the noble houses and the rose, which makes sense with her new status; and i think she'd have as much reason to see the rose as an enemy as swain himself. talon, by association, would be seen as a traitor to the empire, no matter how much it might hurt her to think of him like that.

at a personal level, however, katarina is a big defender of second chances. she wouldn't be where she is if someone hadn't given her another chance after her big failure. swain wouldn't be where he is if it had been one mistake, regardless of how big, and that was that. by extension, the noxus she believes in and fights for is one that has room for redemption. talon might be lost to them now, but that's not to say his status is final and cannot be changed.

he's her brother. he tried to kill her on their father's orders, he tried to kill her again in the comic, but he's still her brother, and she obviously loves him. the words she says to him when they part, that she hopes he realizes he's more and deserves more than what marcus tried to have them be, were very sincere. she still holds on to hope he'll see the light, even if the realist in her doubts that'll ever happen, especially after marcus died in an incident involving swain and herself. she fully expects talon will end up embracing the black rose completely, but should he follow a different path, should he decide to follow his own path, she would be very much in favor of him getting a second chance, no longer being seen as a traitor and all that.

"Happy birthday, my love," he murmurs, sliding the ring onto her finger. His thumb smooths over the jewel, gaze searching her face.

The last time her birthday had passed, Tailtiu hadn't known it.

It's a nearly out of body experience to see it on her own calendar, a date left blank amidst her otherwise cluttered schedule. She hadn't forgotten it, no, just... hadn't exactly remembered it either.

She could wonder for what day it had been in that last, miserable year of her life -- decide if it had been one on which Hilda spared her or demanded more, or if that bitch of a woman had even known it had passed at all.

But she doesn't, or tries not to. Those memories never come with anything good, only quicken her breaths and make the world feel far away.

As it does now, while her fingers tap on the stone top of the railing she leans against. The sounds of students shuffling to their dorms for the evening, of birds returning to begin the day's final song... it is all background to her. Distant, not quite real.

And then comes he who can bring it all back to center with only the sound of her name.

Tailtiu turns her head, eyes refocusing as he makes his approach. Her back straightens, the rhythm of her fingers stalls, and just like that she is swept into him.

"For me? What's the occasion?" But the joke is halfhearted, her eyes affixed on her fingers within his own.

And that's when she realizes that something cool presses to the palm of her hand. It had been such a familiar feeling, the presence of his ring in their every touch, that she had forgotten it wasn't supposed to be there.

Eyes dart to his face, searching it. He's smiling, the bastard, and it's in that kind and genuine way that only Azelle could ever seem to master. Tailtiu wills her heart to still. "You didn't..."

The ring around her finger now is still the one he gave her that night, dingy now with time and abuse and death, but when next she looks down it has been replaced.

Tears well in her eyes before they can be helped. "Azelle," like she's ready to scold him, to yell at him, to call him stupid and this gesture dumb and to stomp off in a flustered fit the way she would have when they were kids.

But instead, she just laughs. It's a soft and quiet thing, like chiming bells on a warm Spring's wind -- full of sadness and joy and love. The end of one thing and the beginning of another in its place.

This time, they'll get to do it all right.

"I liked the old one just fine," she teases, fingers squeeze around his, "but, hey, at least we match again."
