I’m sure someone has written it by now but on the off chance they haven’t…I need a fic where Jason never learned how to swim and it never came up when he took on the Robin mantle (maybe he lied, by omission, or maybe it truly never came up in conversation) until a patrol gone wrong where he gets thrown into Gotham Habor and almost drowns. Bruce has to teach him how to swim while dealing with his own guilt over never fully verifying if Jay could swim, because he grew up rich and had lessons in the pool out back and never fully put together — until that awful moment, seeing Jason’s head disappear underwater — that swimming isn’t often an instinct, but something that absolutely has to be learned. and practiced. and they both have to untangle their prides and guilt and do something as simple as jump in the pool together and swim.

I have the worlds smallest little headcanon that Seawings are, on average, more likely to be deaf/hoh since they rely the least on it for hunting and survival + Aquatic means it’s much easier for a deaf Seawing to be fully absorbed in Seawing society

Second highest is (modern) Nightwings because naturally sensitive hearing + constant exposure to a loud volcano = lots of dragons with progressive hearing loss. Im not sure how much Nightwings have a sign language (time at volcano vs how terrible nightwing society is, fight!) but I do think the most recent generation of Nightwings would probably have their own dialect/baby language since they’re the most likely to be effected by it with the increase in volcanic activity and the way Nightwing dragonets are raised together in dormitories

(and it's not a bunch of personified construction beavers like a civ game. u are just a beaver)

It's a third-person game, and u can swim around ur made ponds well but are slow on land

u start of building up ur own dam in a small stream. being weary of predators and also ur stamina/food

It's slow going, but u meet other beavers along the way. the damnslowly gets built, stick by stick, pebble by pebble

seasonal cycle much like farming games but its u just storing food up for winter

u get a taste for wood and ur other companion beavers also have their preferences

Decorating ur Lodge (during winter most likely)

There are other animals in the area u can talk to, befriend, or scare away

u gotta dig ditches and stuff to get to more of forest areas if u wanna expand more.

its a grindy brain empty game and ur just living ur life as a beaver

sound mechanics where u r v aware of Running streams (incase ur dam needs reparing), tree sounds so they dont fall on u while ur eating, possible predators etc

work with other beavers so u can lessen work load like doing dam repairs or lodge building/expansion/repairs

random events like new visitors (friendly and not so friendly) or even wildfires

Im just... I was watching a beaver video and I genuinely was surprised for all the living habits and stuff they do, no one has thought to do a cozy grindy game abt em thats not civ like. they have like all the staple farming sim stuff. A Home, an area, and a whole bunch of shit to do before winter/year end.

(personally, i think my stance is that he has some ability to keep himself afloat in calmer waters- on the shore or in a pool- but not in the way where its a particular skill. hes spend enough time dicking around in the shallows with Jack & Sam & Ed to know how to handle himself in water where he cant consistently reach the bottom, to feel comfortable cooling off by a waterfall, but is also keenly aware that if he goes overboard, even in relatively calm waters, being able to swim isnt going to do anything to save his life if a dinghy isnt sent. hes not gonna drown the second he's in the ocean or anything, but hes screwed if the waters a little too rough or its late or a raid and it isnt noticed before the ships a way away.)

what type of music does your oc like? do they listen to music very often?

Rowan likes pretty much all music on Etheirys. She even finds a lot to like in Garlean music. As a Bard, she's always listening for new songs whenever she can.

In modern AU, Rowan is a music composer. She decided to cast a wide net in songs she writes, and ended up doing a bardcore cover once. She needed help with the lyrics and she got pointed in Urianger's direction and the rest is history.

is your oc a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? how are their sleeping habits?

When sleeping alone, Rowan is a light sleeper and spins around the bed like a rotisserie chicken. When she sleeps with Urianger, he holds her still throughout the night and so she tosses and turns less. She also grows accustomed to his presence and genuinely sleeps better all snuggled up to him <3

can your oc swim? do they enjoy swimming?

Rowan can swim and has gotten some joy out of it. She has tried to teach Urianger but it came across more as a seduction attempt than a legitimate lesson.

An Idea (I think?)

Learning with Pibby can happen. Not on live TV unfortunately, we shall all sob about that. But Pibby is NOT dead It can happen WITHOUT the greenlight Who else out here thinking Adult Swim x Glitch Productions would be great? They could make it happen- Look at Murder Drones and TADC. Banger ass shows- if it were possible. Or maybe a thought for either AS or Glitch. They could make this show happen. It don't even have to be glitch, AS could just work with the dedicated people of the internet. It'll be a show for youtube only. And that might just be good enough :) That or threaten mfs to greenlight the show idfk Just a thought. The silly blue gal has my brain in a death grip.

A simple request. No... not a request. An order. Two words. Quiet at the onset but growing steadily in Izzy's mind, blooming and spilling over to cover every corner.

The whisper of a smile at the corner of Ed's eyes meeting the desperation swimming within them. The soft pair of footsteps padding from above deck to below contrasting the heavy pounding of Izzy's heart echoing in his head, the intensity threatening to shake apart the blossoms that had so recently taken residency.

All of it sharp yet muted, loud yet far away.
