I believe that the only reason why mashima didn't give team friends or fucking and their children jobs that do not have any destruction is cause lucy would be the only one having something to contribute

Lindworms!
@hairasuntouchedaspartoftheamazon expressed interest in Lindworms! So! Today You Learned about lindworms!
Tumblr media
When you have a dragon that has only two legs, and a serpentine body, that is a lindworm! Or lindwurm. Or lindwyrm. There are versions out there with no legs, or with wings (with wings is how they're represented in Magnus Chase), but generally, when people talk about lindworms, they mean the two-legged kind.
Also, that's how they're presented in Dragonology.
They appear often in Germanic myths, and a noticeable thing is that they're often cursed people? In the story of the Lindwurm Prince, for instance, it's a "Beauty & the Beast" type story with a two-legged dragon dude. Karl Shukar presents Fafnir as a lindworm in his Natural History of Dragons, too, and he's a cursed dwarf (I've often seen Fafnir depicted as other types of dragons, though).
Tumblr media
Very commonly, though, it's a monster that terrorizes people. Because, you know, dragon stories go like that.
Also! It comes in Fun Size, if you consider the Tatzelwurm.

the versatility of the word "dicht" is wonderful.
there are a few ways to use this word so here's some sentences for you!
dicht - close (in proximity to)
"Alles liegt dicht beieinander und ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar." - "Everything is close together and is easily accessible on foot."
dicht - tight (firm, fast, secure)
"Die Gardinen waren dicht zugezogen." - "The curtains were tightly closed."
dicht - dense (compacted, closely set)
"Der Stoff ist relativ dicht gewebt, fühlt sich glatt und weich an." - "The fabric is woven relatively densely, yet feels smooth and soft."
dicht - sealed (water tight, air tight)
"Die Stecker müssen robust, dicht und unempfindlich gegen Schmutz sein." - "The plugs must be robust, sealed and resistant to dirt."
dicht - not all there, crazy, nut
"Vielleicht denkst du, dass ich nicht ganz dicht bin." - "Maybe you think that i'm not all there."

Trying to figure out why Hatchet has been an anxious mess all day. Realizes I've really only worked my working dog basically once this week. Sighs as I realize that after driving nonstop for basically eight hours today I still have to move around and work my dog.
Gonna make the fucker nap first because holy fuck I don't think he's slept since like 5 this morning and it is 4 now.

It's so interesting watching non-Germans listen to Electric Callboy for the first time
Because their style IS extremely unique, mixing heavy metal/metalcore with techno
And they're just GOOD. Their songs are BOPS. You can't not get pumped by it
(And for a German in my age range, they put in references to Scooter lol. Can't hate Scooter. Scooter is love, Scooter is life. Hypa hypa.)
I'm honestly so glad they changed their name, I'm much more comfortable listening to them now

Not very fun animal and history fact:
During WWI, anti-German sentiment was so high in the US that they started taking it out on even German dogs.
The German shepherd was renamed in order to avoid this (the bame “Alsatian” after Alsace, France)
The Dachshund did not escape however. Americans were literally publicly  berating Dachshund owners and killing the dogs in the streets, there’s at least one report of a Dachshund breeder killing all their dogs
Huh. I did not know this.
Wikipedia says that 'Alsatian' was actually introduced in World War I in the UK, though I'd have to dig deeper to see if that's true.
Thanks for sharing, friend!
