I like the idea of Lauren being a heavily repressed and in denial lesbian as a teenager. I'm really heavily drawing from my own experiences here, but I remember being obsessed with boys in a very negative way. It was all about possession and the validation of having someone like me and choose me over someone else. I imagine her being sort of into bella, and not realising it until years later, but having that fuel the hatred/obsession/jealousy.
Also if jess was bi she totally had a bit of a thing for bella, like a "let's get drunk and make out because it's funny" type thing because she also will be in denial.
Okay but I can’t stop thinking about Angela and Leah meeting in La Push
Imagine Angela goes with her group of friends (Bella included) and they are hanging out kicking sand at each other and goofing around.
Jess has just broken up with Mike because hello the class valedictorian deserves better than this sports good lapdog and has just came out as bi
Lauren is there too (and Tyler is also no longer her object of affection) and it’s too soon to tell but Bella and Ange keep sneaking glances at how Jessica leans in to Lauren
They don’t miss how Lauren blushes and giggles - turns out she isn’t that bad of a person once you start to get to know her
In fact, everyone is surrised to learn Lauren is actually pretty interesting: she loves playing chess and has hinted heavily that Jess should teach her how to play volleyball sometime…alone
And then of course, the weather starts getting bad and the wind is picking up and the sand they had kicked up is getting in their eyes and oh of course -
Bella trips over driftwood and scrapes her knee up pretty bad - like “oh shit Jess do you know how to make a tourniquet” bad
Ange looks around and tried to find any kind of fabric or some kind of absorbing sponge - she doesn’t know and then she sees her
A tall, beautifully brown skinned girl with broad shoulders and a cropped haircut is running along the shoreline. No raincoat, old t-shirt, athletic shorts, and a determined face
Ange thinks about pinching herself for a moment because the girl looks almost gracefully lethal in how she runs: long muscly legs carrying her faster and faster
“Help!” Angela waves and shouts to the girl. She has her arms up and she’s pretty tall herself - not as tall as this girl though - and she knows she looks ridiculous jumping around but Bella is bleeding and wow she’s beautiful
The girl picks up speed, seeming to hear Angela even though the wind hasn’t led up. Everyone is tightly packed around Bella to keep each other warm and Angela is quick to point to the middle of the circle where Bella is
“Hey, how can I help?” The runner yells so she could hear her and her voice is raspy but soothing
“My friend,” Angela tries not to stutter. What’s wrong with her? The only person who has made her feel close to this is Ben.
Ben. Her ex boyfriend who had very politely explained to her why it was ‘prudent’ to break up the summer before college
“Your friend? She’s hurt?” The runner questions and Angela has to look up - something new for her, the girl must’ve been at least 6’5 - and quickly nods.
“We were trying to get away from the wind and she tripped over wood. She’s bleeding a lot!”
The girl nods before somehow fitting her body inside the close knit circle of friends
“Leah!” Bella exclaims, momentarily thrust out of her pain. “What are you doing?”
“I should’ve known it would be you,” but there isn’t any malice in Leah’s voice just vague amusement and acceptance.
The treaty really did know how to keep the peace - at least mostly. And Bella smiles before flinching as Leah’s hot fingers begin to peel off the cut cloth of her jeans.
“That boyfriend,” Leah raises her lip slightly at the word, “of yours has a doctor in the house, right?
Bella nods as she closes her eyes and holds onto Angela and Jessica for support while Lauren, Jordan, and Taylor try to steady her shaking leg
“Okay well until you can get to them, you’re going to need a tourniquet.” And with that Angela nearly faints as the girl proceeds to lift off her t-shirt and rip it into ribbons.
She has a tank top underneath and a sports bra but what surprises Angela is how unaffected she is by the cold. How the girl- how Leah hasn’t shivered once and how her biceps looked much smaller covered up
Her muscles look smooth and natural and she can think of about five different pictures she could take to reflect the depth and dimension
And then she hears herself blurt out, “Wow you’re really buff.”
All the girls, who had been to wrapped up in staying warm and helping Bella as Leah finished tying the tourniquet, look up at her questioningly.
Only Bella has the foresight to look at Leah and suppresses a smile at how the faint pink touches her cheeks, “thanks.”
The tension is lifted and as the sun is setting Leah offers to carry Bella to the car with the girls on tow
Everyone is giggling and laughing again as Bella has to hold her annoyance at being carried like a baby to the car
She takes the opportunity, however, to see if she could repay her unlikely rescuer in an unlikely way
“Hey Ange! How tall are you again?” She knows Angela hates being asked about her height almost as much as Leah takes pride in her heritage and strong lean body
“I’m 5’10 which, by the way, is such a pain. Like Ben would never let me wear anything more than two inches.”
Bingo! Bella can practically see when Leah zeros in on the conversation.
“Hey there’s nothing wrong with being tall! It makes you stand out side but it also just makes you more interesting. Everybody noticed a tall girl.”
Angela can’t help but begin to argue when Leah stops her, “besides with a girl as pretty as you, who cares about height?”
Bella groans inwardly as she is placed inside the car. She stares with a big smile as she watches Angela blush even though she can’t make out what is being said.
“I’m - we’ve got to go,” Angela stammers as she makes her way to the car door.
“Wait!” Leah runs up behind her and pulls out her phone, “can I have your number?”
Angela is really blushing now and Bella can’t tell what they’re saying (all the other girls are inside giggling and trying to listen in too) but she can feel Leah’s confidence grow as she straights her shoulders out
“Yeah! I mean, yes! Yeah. Of course.”
“Cool, I’ll call you tonight, maybe we can get coffee sometime and I can give you more reasons why tall girls are beautiful.”
Angela can only nod and bite her lip but she’s fighting a smile and Leah can hear her heart beating. It’s that extra little wolf thing, that makes her confident enough to lean in and say, “or why you’re beautiful, in particular.”
Angela takes a solid minute to climb inside as Leah runs off into the night.
“Bella?” Angela can only stumble out as they pass the treaty line, “how much can you tell me about this Leah?”

Paul x Reader
Imagine
Requested by @littlemissvenom0
It disgusted you to a deep degree, and Leah had warned you long before you started dating that Paul was a loose guy, never being able to fully commit to something.
It wasn’t that your relationship even felt real. Paul was incredibly distant and avoided doing anything that put you two in the same space for too long. Like he was some royal who couldn’t even entertain the idea of mingling with poverty.
You were again reminded of this when you and Leah hung out today. The weather was cloudy and the remnants of earlier rain was still around, making everything wet. You and Leah were out in the forest near the river border of the tribal grounds.
“I don’t understand why you just don’t break up with him, (y/n). You guys haven’t even acted like a real couple for months”
You sighed while rolling up your vest sleeves, shifting your position on the damp clump of rocks you two were sat on. Distant laughter was in the background, coming from the Black residence.
Leah’s head turned to you, waiting patiently as you puffed your cheeks before letting the air go.
“Yeah, I know, I know… “ you took a pause, tossing a pebble down to the river below you, “I geuss I just hope he’ll come around before I do decide to break it off”
Leah rolls her eyes, “I can’t believe you’re holding on to some slim piece of hope that he’ll maybe turn into some prince charming or whatever, its not”
You frown slightly, “You obviously don't think I should''. Your cousin gives you an exasperated expression, “All I see is him flirting with every girl within a few feet of him, while you stay back all embarrassed all the time, it's getting frustrating and I keep having to listen to him think about it everyday. You have to do something about it”
You look away, biting the inside of your cheek as you listen to her talk. Truth be told you knew your relationship with Paul could only go one of two ways, either you break up with him, or he miraculously turns from his ways and realises how much he actually loves you, if he even does love you.
“You’re right Leah” you stand up, pulling your cousin up with you. “I think it’s time I have a serious talk with him”. You two make your way to the Black residence in a matter of minutes, just as the rain comes pouring down around you.
You and Leah made it just in time to see Paul getting it on with a brunette you absolutely didn’t think you’d see again. “Isnt that Jessica?!” You hear Leah from a few feet behind you. You couldn’t believe it, Paul knew you didn’t like Jessica at all, she was as pretentious and bratty as they come and seeing Paul make put with her under Billy’s porch roof just triggered something in you.
Your breathing got heavy, a heat like you’ve never felt before started spreading though your veins, Leah’s eyes got wide and she called for Sam who came rushing out of the cabin, Quil and Embry on his tail.
“Hey! (Y/n), calm down!”
Sam was standing a bit back. You couldn’t focus on him right now, steam was pouring off your skin and you winced and yelped as you felt your skin and bones move inside you. Leah rushed away from you just in time as you recklessly shifted into a medium sized salt and pepper toned wolf. You stumbled as you threw yourself off balance and landed disgracefully in the muddy grass. No one moved, Paul had already started making his way down when Embry held him back.
You didn’t wait to see or hear what was going on as you stumbled and ran into the forest, Leah’s hollering voice yelling for you to wait and come back.
•••
“ I thought she didn’t have the wolf gene in her?!”
“ I know, im pretty sure everyone here thought so”
The wolf pack, along with Billy Black all crowded Billy’s small living room. The rain was still going hard and you had left the grounds 10 minutes earlier. Sam and Billy were in a heated talk.
Paul threw his hands up,and pushed himself out of the chair, “I’m going after her-“ Leah grabs Paul’s arm, “No way! You think she wants to look at your ugly face right now? You’re the reason she turned !”
Paul got in Leah’s face, but she wasn’t intimidated, “What did you just say?!”
“Enough!”
Sam’s authoritarian voice broke them apart and a silence filled the room, albeit tense. Billy cleared his throat and spoke to Sam, “I think you should be the one to go look for (y/n), she trusts you, and you’re the only one who could handle another accident”
Paul huffed and stormed out, no one bothered to stop him.
•••
“(Y/n)!”
Sam had been searching the woods for hours, but it was futile, he didn’t think she’d have gone so far from the reservation.
Sam shifted into his wolf form as a last attempt to find her.
He stood still in the dark forest. Listening.
Help
His ears twitched to the front.
Paul
Help
Its so cold
Sam didn’t hesitate now as he ran forward towards the mountains. Wherever (y/n) was, she was in trouble.
It wasn’t long before he reached the base of a mountain, rain falling hard around him and mud splattered through his wet fur. He stuck his nose to the ground as he took a deep sniff, letting the aromas and smell of the forest drift through his senses until he latched onto a sweeter scent, perfume. He followed the scent, leading closer and closer to a rushing river where he finally found her.
(Y/n) was back human now, and unfortunately in the nude as far as Sam could tell. But he acted quickly, coming to his senses as he rushed to (y/n), laying half in the river and on the riverbank. As gently as he possibly could while in his wolf form, Sam pulled her completely put of the river. Her body had turned from a tanned olive to pale and sickly. He brushed past the fact that she was bare and pawed at her to wake her up. Moments later her eyes fluttered open slowly, she looked sluggishly up at him and struggled to push herself up as best she could. Sam laid flat to allow (y/n) to slide herself onto his back.
•••
Leah rushed out of Billy’s house as soon as she heard Sam’s thoughts. The rest of the pack behind her.
They all gathered outside as Sam came jogging through the treeline, still in wolf form. A pale body hung onto him and he came to a still infront of the group. Paul ran forward and scooped (y/n) from Sam’s back, pulling her protectively into his body as he and Leah entered Billy’s place.
Billy motioned for them to take (y/n) into Jacobs old bedroom as he rolled to a linin closet and took out heavy blankets to give to Leah. “Thanks Billy” Leah took the pile and pushed Paul out of the bedroom, he looked offended but didn’t push it and went back into Billy’s living room where only Sam was waiting, now human and dressed in jean shorts.
Billy sighed, “Leave her be for now, go home” Sam nodded and moved to leave, Paul stayed sat, Billy stared pointedly, “You too, Paul”. Paul stayed put, leg twitching, “No way, not until she wakes up, I have to see her open her eyes Billy”. Not wanting to make a scene Billy let Paul be.
•••
(Y/n) didn’t wake up that night, or the next day.
It took a week for her complexion to return.
And when she did wake up, Paul was by her side, tear uncharacteristically streaming down his face as he grabbed her hands and kissed them.
(Y/n) frowned, “Paul?… where am I?”
“You’re at Billy’s place, you were asleep for a week, I thought… “ Pauled rubbed his eyes, “Forget it, how do you feel?” He let go of her hands as she sat up, she popped her back, no longer bare as Leah had gone to fetch clothes for her.
Paul stepped back, guilt covering his face. “Whats that look for Paul?”. (Y/n) sat on the edge of the bed, sluggish and confused.
“Im so so so sorry (y/n)…”
Her eyes went wide. This was a Paul she had never seen before. She kept quiet.
“I screwed up by doing what I did, but it was because I was scared”
“Scared?” She gave him an umimpressed look.
He nodded, “Believe it or not, I thought I could push you away because I was scared of what I was feeling for you, I never expected it to happen with you”
She frowned, standing up slowly and steadily, “What? What didn’t you expect Paul?”
His words froze her in her place.
“I imprinted on you (y/n)”
And apparently that was all it took for her to collapse back on the bed, tears coming to the front.
She struggled to find the words, but Paul seemed to hear what she was thinking.
Paul spent the better half of the night explaining to (y/n) what happened, why it happened and why he did what he did. He got a scorching red hand print on his cheek by the end of it, along with a heavy scolding. But not forgiveness. (Y/n) explained that she couldn’t forgive him right off the bat, although his intentions were understandable, he did wrong by her and to her by what he did with all those women, especially Jessica.
She needed time.
And Paul gave her that, without a word against it.
•••
It took (y/n) 3 months to fully forgive Paul.
Another 4 months to agree on dating.
And all the while Paul was respectful of (y/n)’s wishes and compromises.
Leah gave him an earful telepathically and verbally almost every chance she got.
But by the end of the year, they were happier than they were before. Although their relationship was far from perfect, and they argued still, they were happy. Paul no longer went out of his way to apite her and make her jealous and (y/n) put her foot down alot more.
Leah held a grudge against Paul a bit longer but eventually gave in.
Sam and the pack helped (y/n) integrate into the wolf pack and train her.
For now, all was well.

Grand Opening of The Emporium Report!
Hello and Welcome to my blog!
My name is Wayn (They/Them) and I started this blog because I just wanted a place to formally store my thoughts about certain comic issues or comic events!
A little about me, I'm:
Non-Binary
21 years old
Currently in university as a Technical Theatre Major and a Creative Writing Minor.
Filpino-American!
Although I am a Creative Writing Minor, I'm really bad at grammer and overthink a lot so if I write terrible sentences, no I did not <3 :). Other than reading and thinking about comics, I love playing video games such as League of Legends (sadly) + related games, Dark Souls, Resident Evil, Bayonetta, and so much more! (I may from time to time write about these games, but that will be in the future ;)
Little more fun facts:
Favorite Food: Sushi or my mother's sisig
Favortie Musician(s): Wolf Alice, Beyonce, Doja Cat, Rina, plus my monthy music obsession (which is Janelle Monae's The Age of Pleasure)
Favorite Color: Love a good blue, purple, or red
Favorite Movie: At this moment? Across the Spider-verse (EEAO is VERY close behind)
Favorite Show: The Magicians
Now to get into my comic journey and experience!
Comic History
My first exposure to the comics, or at least superheroes, was the Fox X-Men movies! My family had the 2000's trilogy on DVD and it was the one of the only things I liked watching alongside with Spongebob and Ben 10. I would always watch these movies on loop at my father's work on those portable DVD players. Looking back, it was such a fun and simple time!
As I grew up, I watched more Marvel related media such as Ultimate Avengers (2006), Super Hero Squad, Agents of Shield, and even played Marvel Heroes Omega for years until its sad shutdown in 2017. But enough of what I watched or played, the very first comic I read was in 2014 with All New X-Men #18!
But why this particular issue? Well I purely blame Stuart Immonen and his beautiful artwork! I remember seeing this particular cover and loving the new costumes of the O5! The futuristic unitard with each person color coded was very appealing to young me! I also liked that I knew the central characters: The Original Five X-Men. I specifically loved Jean Grey and had an unhealthy crush on Scott Summers (I even read is solo series :o). But this issue is what brought me into comics and when re-reading the run today, I get great flashbacks and memories!
Now here are some personal comic fun facts:
Favorite Character(s): Illyana Rasputin (Magik), Danielle Moonstar (Mirage), Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch), Ororo Munroe (Storm)
Honorable Mentions: Kwannon (Psylocke), Jean Grey, Rachel Summers (Askani), Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman), Gwen Stacy (Ghost-Spider), Miles Morales (Spider-Man), literally all the New Mutants (except Magma...)
Favorite Writer(s): Chris Claremont (past), Jonathan Hickman, Vita Ayala, Leah Williams, Steve Orlando
Favorite Artists: Russell Dauterman, Bill Sienkiewicz, Kevin Wada, Kris Anka, Joshua Swaby, Sara Pichelli
Favorite Limited Comic Run: House of X (2019) by Jonathan Hickman
Favorite Issue: New Mutants #41 by Chris Claremont
What is The Emporium Report?
To elaborate more on the purpose of this blog, I just wanted a place where I can write and write and store my thoughts. Out in the real world, I don't really talk about comics as the community around me are not really fond of comics (theatre people D:). So, I made a twitter (@emporium_report) that I ramble on about comics. But, I wanted to make a full report or essay about certain issues (such as the brilliance of New Mutants #41) so I made this!
Prepare to read:
Analysis on single issues or characters
Reactions/General Thoughts on Comic Runs or Events
Personal deepdives into characters
Possible video game analysis/reactions and such
and more!
Lastly, why is it called The Emporium Report?
Well, I am a really big Scarlet Witch fan (will probably go into my history with her later) and I found her new shop in Orlando's run to be quite neat! The mystical shop is called Emporium and now this page is called The Emporium Report!
Thank you for reading all the way to the end!
I am currently looking for any comic friends so apply away! :D
But in all seriousness, thank you and I hope that I stay comitted to this page!
-Wayn.

So it was super neat to open up reddit and see Boom-Boom on my front page. And I wrote this fuckin soliloquy because I'm half in the bag and felt some shit.
I fucking love Tabi. Boom-Boom. Because, no matter who writes her (Ellison-A caricature of white trash (FUCK SHIT !@@$#!) or Leah Williams bimbo with a heart of gold), the end result is this fuckin street kid. She grew up poor and alone, she was probably, definitely raped, she developed her powers and was instantly othered, she's a fuckin drunk and probably a junkie and lived out on the road until she got taken in by Xavier and then was instantly used, again. "Hey you're just a baby and your life sucks, but we need you on X-Force because you obviously don't care for "rules" and you have a "beat the shit out of other people" power. Hey, "all that trauma you have, use it". Hey, "Y'know how you're a loner? Breathe it."
Tabi fuckin speaks for the street kid experience.
No one ever fuckin questions how much she drinks. I love, LOVE, how her and Jubilee are living together and best friends TM. But like, she doesn't even say, "Hey Tabs, maybe chill out." It's almost funny in that it's fuckin not, how the fuckin street rat kid is a drunk. You just roll with it.
But she's also always on. She's quick as fuck with a retort. Half the reason I love X-Terminators is goddamn Boom-Boom, "You look like Glinda the Good Witch's porn parody." Because Tabi fuckin owns that shit. Gets asked to come along and says "I have shit to do." "Like fuckin what?" "Like finishing this beer for starters? I'll see you there."
It's cute, until you pick it apart. It's the same as my favourite splash panel of her standing and drinking and finishing a fight saying "I thought y'all bitches said we weren't doing anything fun." Tabi is perpetually drunk in the background. Fucked up because she's going through some shit. Fuckin lit, but still a super hero. Her and Jessica Jones would probably be besties over the simple facts of whiskey and "goddamnit again? Fine. Guess I'll suit up."
Maybe I'm reading too much into it (I am.), but it's WHY I love them as characters and why they're my favourites. Because they so clearly don't fucking want to be here. They don't WANT this fuckin headache. But they still save the day. They go aboveboard beyond what a normal bitch would on her third drink by noon, because someone fuckin has to. The whole "I'm too cool for this, but I guess I have time", vibe is a silly, ridiculous act because thats the only way to cope. Be fabulous, dress the part, and fuck shit up half in the bag. Because if you don't, will someone else? Maybe, but I look better doing it: Hold my fuckin glasses.
I'm fuckin rambling. But, Boom-Boom is my favourite mutant because she so obviously doesn't give a shit, and simultaneously does, more than anyone else, and I get that aa a street kid. As someone who's fucking homeless. Reading into it, it's hilarious that someone who lives in the margins hangs out with bitches whose whole fucking thing is being the light and sound.
Anyways, it's beer 'o clock Sluts and I'm doing my goddamn best. <3
