Hey YâAll! Today, I present to you a small art/writing challenge to do for the autumn season!
What is the âHappy Fall, YâAllâ Event?:
The âHappy Fall, Yâallâ Tumblr challenge is a nine week long event where Sonic artists and writers unite and share their works all throughout the autumn season. Starting in October, artists and writers will be given the chance to participate in a friendly event to display their skills and love for the fall season. Each week, participants will be given an autumn-based theme and encouraged to create works of art until the last week in November. Participants will be given the chance to display their love for the season, as well as the company of other Sonic fans. Beginning and advanced artists and writers are always welcomed!
Rules/Guidelines:
All nine weekly themes will be made available on August 25st, 2024. The official launch date to present work for the week is October 1st.
Prompts for each week will be highlighted/recapped on a sunday at 9am EDT. Each prompt will have a weekly window for artists/writers to create their work and present them on Tumblr.
Each prompt will be given a small index of what each participant will be doing for the week. Index descriptions are small notes to inspire the participants for their work. These are not a set of rules.
Artists and writers can create more than one piece for the weekly theme, just make sure that the title is present to see.
Do not feel pressured to do it every week. Remember, this is a fun challenge to strengthen our skills and enjoy each otherâs company. Move at your own pace and present when youâre ready. The point of a weekly theme is to give you breathing space while making your works of art. (Iâll be doodling these prompts with you đ€)
Keep works Safe for Web (SFW).
No tracing of othersâ artwork, plagiarizing, or AI is allowed. This is strongly discouraged and frowned upon.
Use the hashtag #HappyFallYâAll2024 or tag me (@welcome-to-green-hills) when completed.
A listed transcript of themes will be provided below:
Pumpkins/Pumpkin Patch (September 29th to October 5th)
Harvest Festival (October 6th to October 12th)

Autumn Colors & Feels (November 10th to November 16th)
Sweata-Weatha/Ugly Sweater (November 17th to November 23rd)

Have fun! Let your creativity fly! Let this be a fun little activity that we can do together.â€ïžâš
#HappyFallYâAll2024#If yâall like this challenge I have plenty more prompts that share thatâll last us until 2029#I hope that yâall have fun â€ïžđđ„čđâ€ïž#I love the fall months so this is a little unhealthy obsession for me đ

Weekly Recap | July 7th-14th 2024 ~ Podfics
Had to split the rec cause it got too big!
Podfic
[podfic] The Wrath of Abuela by Cass_Caelis/ @cassiopeiacaelis // fic by scarletmanuka (S4, Getting Together | 20-30min | Teen): Whilst on his second date with Ana, Eddie's abuela sees them and confronts Eddie, thinking he's stepping out on Buck.
đ„ [podfic] from the ground up by half_bakedboy/ @half-bakedboy // fic by eddiesdiaz/ @eddiesdiaz (Getting Together, Developping Relationship | 45-60min | Teen): If heâs honest, Eddie gets why Buck filed the lawsuit. He does. He understands the hopelessness, the feeling youâre losing all control, like youâre sinking, drowning, desperate for a way out. He knows because itâs the same way he felt when he enlisted. That doesnât mean it hurts any less when Buck leaves him, though.
đ„ You Ain't Never Had A Friend Like Me (Podfic) by ToughPaperRound/ @toughpaperround // fic by mansikka (Canon Divergent, Genie!Hildy | 3.5-4h | Mature): đ¶I can show you the world, shining, shimmering, splendid. Tell me, Eddie, now when did you last let your heart decide?đ¶ Or. What if Eddie has a Hildy that is occupied by a genie?
đ„ Leaf Day [podfic] by ToughPaperRound // fic by rowan_wood/ @transboybuckley (Canon Divergent, Different First Meeting | 30-45min | Teen): municipal events make for the best meet-cutes, don't they?
đ„ what a man gotta do? (to be your last good night and your first good day) [PODFIC] by ToughPaperRound // fic by diazevan/ @diaz-evans (Getting Together | 10-20min | Teen): He is gonna woo Eddie. He is gonna woo him so fucking hard that the other man has no other choice but to be his boyfriend and declare his eternal love for him. Buck is gonna be that good. or Buck is the best boyfriend and he doesn't even know it.
đ„ Accidentally in Love (PODFIC) by ToughPaperRound // fic by tabbytabbytabby/ @tabbytabbytabby (Jealous Eddie, Getting Together | 10-20min | Teen): Eddie sets Buck up on a blind date with a friend of his. Buck goes thinking it's what Eddie wants. It doesn't work out, with the date quickly realizing that Buck is in love with Eddie. As the two glow closer as friends, Eddie assumes they're dating and is left to deal with the growing realization that his feelings for Buck might not be a platonic as he thought.
đ„might have to take a loss (PODFIC) by ToughPaperRound // fic by waferkya/ @oursisthewinter (Post-4x08, Getting Together | 1-1.5h | Teen): Ana is perfectly nice and Eddie is⊠being a moron. He holds her hand. Heâs kissed the corner of her mouth a few times. His hands have wandered a little, but strictly above clothes. Itâs like every time he and Ana end up somewhere alone after dark, Eddie feels like the poor womanâs father is standing in the corner with a baseball bat and a very significant expression on his face. Or: Eddie is having intimacy issues with Anaâas in, he doesn't want to be intimate with her at all and he doesn't understand why. Christopher is kind of upset about the whole thing. Buck just wants his favourite Diazes to be happy.
đ„[Podfic] With A Little Help From My Friends by Cass_Caelis/ @cassiopeiacaelis // fic by @extasiswings (Eddie&the PTA, Getting Together | 20-30min | Teen): âYou knowâŠseveral of us parents get together once, maybe twice a month or so. Youâre welcome to join us if youâd like. I can add you to the email chain.â Not for the first time that day, Eddieâs surprised. Itâs not that heâs opposed, more that the invitation is unexpected. Heâs not particularly socialâwhen he is itâs with the team or with Buck or with his family, all of them in each otherâs houses, in each otherâs lives both at work and away from it. Outside of them⊠It occurs to him that heâs never really known how to make friends. [Or: Eddie makes friends outside of work and realizes that Buck might not, in fact, be just a friend]
Just Tell Better Lies (and Keep Your Mouth to Yourself) [Podfic] by blackglass/ @blackestglass // fic by @hmslusitania (Secret Relationship | 20-30min | Teen): Good news: after years of pining, Buck and Eddie have finally gotten together! Mixed news: being together will require a department investigation of some kind, so Bad news: they can't tell anyone yet. Worst news: Buck is the world's least accomplished liar.
đ„Finding Home [Podfic] by blackglass //fic by @slycopersicum-in-disguise (Post-S5 | Getting Together | 20-30min | Teen): "Buck!" Eddie yelled as he turned his key in the loft door and dumped his suitcase inside. He immediately got a startled "Eddie?" in response, and thank God for that because if Buck had been out running errands it would have been the last damn straw. But he was here, where Eddie needed him to be, and pounding down the stairs from the stupid platform thing he had instead of a normal bedroom. "Is everything OK?" "No! You won't answer your goddamn phone and my house is full of bees."
oh shit...are we in love? [Podfic] by blackglass // fic by @lilythesilly (Getting Together | 1-10min | General): buck: lol eddie brought some of chrisâs extra valentineâs cards to the station. theyâre lego themed. maddie: i know! chim just showed me theyâre super cute. question: what kind of candy did you get with yours? buck: fun dip. why maddie: interesting. chim got a mini hershey bar. buck: whatâs that supposed to mean. maddie. what does that mean MADDIE

Two Knives-Chapter 1: Kyoshi: A Poem and a Promise
Characters:Â Rangi and Kyoshi (RoK characters tbh)
Pairing:Â Rangshi
Summary:
Things have been stressful for Kyoshi. First, she sang a poem and now the whole kitchen staff thinks itâs about Rangi, and is sure that there will be gossip. Then, Yun asks her to join him for the Fifth Nation treaty signing. Now Rangiâs acting strange. Itâs becoming a bit much for Kyoshiâs small corner of the world.
(Canon Divergent AU- Kelsang wasnât the one who heard the poem?âŠ.aka What if it took longer for them to realize Kyoshi was the Avatar?)
Other Sites:Â AO3Â
A/N: <_< >_>*looks everyone in the eye* *drops another AU* *shuffles away*
*runs back and takes the mic* I donât really wanna recap alllllll the scenes in the novel, so weâre just going to jump to the ones that def changed because of this little butterfly effect. So yeah, I'm assuming you've at least read RoK, and the scenes not shown here are fairly similar that happen in the novel. Ok? Ok. *shuffles away again*
(Tw: SLIGHT earth kingdom homophobia, mostly just alluded too, it's not my main focus, but I'll give another warning if it happens)
_____
âCanât someone give us a decent verse?â Auntie Mui complained. Sheâd roped the kitchen into a forced weekly-or was it daily?- poetry time. Lee had just delivered the worst haiku in history, and it left a bitter taste in the older womanâs mouth.
Kyoshi, who was only supposed to drop off a delivery, had gotten roped into kitchen work by Auntie Mui, who asked her to help with the bread before she left. Kyoshi accepted, but was trying to rush it so she could get back to her duties upstairs.
âWell saaaaaw-rry !â Lee complained. âIâm not the best at poetry!â
âYeah heâs better with dirty songs!â one kitchen worker jeered.
âArenât we all?â another hooted.
âThere will be no dirty songs!â Auntie Mui cried out.
âHey, letâs do the Unrequited Shanty!â one of the scullery maids clapped. âThat oneâs always fun to play!âÂ
Kyoshi recognized the game they wanted to play. It was a well-known shanty popular with sailors and field hands, where you improvised raunchy words from the perspective of your object of unrequited affection. It was a game for others to guess who you were singing about, and the simple rhythm made manual labor more pleasant.
âOf course, âcause ya love ta gossip!â a cook jeered.
âThere will be no-â Autie Mui started, trying to get the kitchen under control, but was cut off by Lee.
âIâve got a nose like a dove-tailed deer / I run like a leaf on the wind,â Lee sang, evidently better at this than his failed haiku. The staff started banging tables and pots to his rhythm. âMy arms are slight and my waist is tight / and I donât have a thought for my kin.â
âMirai!â a dishwasher yelled out. âHeâs got it bad for the greengrocerâs daughter!â The staff whooped over Leeâs protests, thinking it a good match. Sometimes it didnât matter to the audience if they guessed right or not.
âKyoshi next!â someone said. âSheâs never here, so letâs make the most of it!â
Kyoshi was caught off guard. Normally she wasnât included in household antics. But here she was, with the whole kitchen staff banging their tables and pots in a rhythm louder, encouraging.Â
Before Kyoshi could consider feeling embarrassed or decline, the rhythm of the atmosphere dug its claws into her, pulling her in, and the words spilled from her mouth without a care.
âIâve got two knives that are cast in bronze / they pierce all the way to the soul / they draw you in with the promise of sin / like the moth to the flame to the coal.â
The kitchen howled. Auntie Mui clucked in disapproval. âKeep going, you naughty girl!â Lee shouted, glad that the attention was off of him.Â
Kyoshi did just that, tossing out the lyrics that popped into her head. She started drumming her own dough to the beat.
âIâve got hair like the starless night / it sticks to my lips when I smile / Iâll wind it with yours and weâll drift off course / in a ship touching hearts all the while.â
Somehow the improvisation was easy, though sheâd never considered herself a poet. Or a bawdy mind, for that matter. It was as if another person, someone much more at ease with their own desires, was feeding her the right lines to express herself. And to her surprise, she liked how the inelegant lines made her feel. Truthful and silly and raw.
âFor the way I walk is a lantern lit / that leads you into the night / Iâll hold you close and love you the most / until our end is in sight.â
Kyoshi was about to ponder what the darker turn towards the end of the verse was, when she realized the makeshift music had stopped. Looking up, she saw everyone was silently looking at her with a gaped expression. Some even dropped the appliances they were using.
âW-what?â she flinched. She thought the lyrics were pretty good, sure she wasnât a lyricist, but there was no need for such a cold reception!
âItâs Rangi!â one of the maids shouted, clapping her hands once.Â
Kyoshi whipped her head around to the stairs, looking for the firebending girl. Her heart started to quicken, though she didnât know what for.Â
âIt is Rangi!â a cook cooed, making a kissy face for some strange reason.Â
âW-where?â Kyoshi kept looking around.
âNot in here , idiot!â Lee slapped her back. âIn your song ! Just admit it, you just sang about Rangi.â
Kyoshi felt her eyes bulge out of her head. She hadnât really been thinking of the lyrics, but when she played them back in her head the picture became very clear. It very much did sound like Rangi.
She looked around the kitchen, some were goading her playfully, not caring that Kyoshi may have just sung a love poem about her female friend.Â
Some gave her disdainful looks. A wave of guilt and disgust in herself rose up in Kyoshiâs stomach, realizing that they may also veer those same looks at Rangi later. All because of Kyoshiâs loose lips.
âI-I, uh, I,â Kyoshi said eloquently. She had no comeback, she couldnât deny the resemblance. She didnât think she was thinking about Rangi at that moment, but she couldnât lie to herself. She had thought of Rangi, often, at other times. The fiery girl would easily sneak into her mind when she wasnât fully aware of it. Could this have been one of those times?Â
But sheâd tell herself it was just admiration. She admired her friend. The way she embodied strength, skill, and determination wrapped up in an unshakable heart. Just, honorable, and kindâŠ.. And so painfully beautiful .
Kyoshi shook her head. No, she mustnât think those thoughts about her friend. No matter how often they snuck into her mind. How often she thought about what itâd feel like to hold her close. To touch the soft flesh of her neck. What it would feel like to press her lips against RangiâsâŠ..
No! Kyoshi balled a fist outside of view, the nails digging into her skin to break her out of her dangerous train of thought. Sheâd already let her imagination run off and cause a lapse in judgment already, she couldnât afford to do it again.
Stop⊠you canât have those thoughts. Itâs not fair to her. She chastised herself, trying to bury the emotions like sheâd done with her crush on Yun. Having these feelings towards them, her friends, it wasnât right. It was betraying their trust.Â
But unlike with Yun, these feelings kept resurfacing, stronger than ever at times. And that was dangerous. Because each time Kyoshi buried them, it became harder to do so. Which meant there was a breaking point. Which meantâŠâŠthere would come a time Kyoshi may make the biggest mistake of her life, and ruin her friendship beyond repair.Â
Kyoshi took a wobbly step back. âI, uh, I have to go get ready for my gifting duties,â she said hurriedly. Barreling her way to the staircase, trying to ignore the looks and shouts in her direction. It was easy to drown out the noise, her heart was thumping in rhythm with the footsteps around her. She briefly wondered if someone was following her, but when she turned no one was, when she got to the staircase it was empty as well.Â
As quickly and quietly as she could, she ascended the stairs and made her way through the mansion to her room. As she ran, Kyoshi had her hand covering her mouth, trying to choke down the air of hyperventilation. She realized sheâd described Rangiâs eyes as sinful, when really Kyoshi was the one with the sinful thoughts. A new wave of guilt and disgust in herself radiated through her.Â
She was thankful she didnât run into Rangi on the way to her room.
______
âThank you,â Yun said as he nuzzled his cheek into Kyoshiâs hand.Â
Kyoshi had made it to her gifting duties, not only in a timely manner, but also very early. At some point, the Avatar had joined her to âhelpâ with organizing the gifts. Really he just wanted to bug her.
But at some point the conversation had turned to him asking her to join him for the Fifth Nation treaty signing. She saw the sincerity in his plea and said yes. And now here they were in a slightly uncompromising position. Itâd be a little dicey if someone barged through the door while they were like this.
Other than that slight distress hanging over her head, she let the contact wash over her. Letting it act as a balm to the fire bomb that went off on her hours before.Â
Right, just push the feelings down. She told herself.Â
Yun reluctantly put her hand down. "Three..." he said, cocking his ear at the ceramic-tiled floor with a smile. "Two... One..."
Rangi slid the door open with a sharp click, and Kyoshi felt herself jump slightly. She was happy Yun had let go of her hand.
"Avatar." She bowed deeply and solemnly to Yun. Then she turned to Kyoshi, her face appeared to be more stern than Kyoshi was used to. âAnd you! Youâve barely made any prog-â
She cut herself off and tore her eyes away from Kyoshi, looking around the room. Her eyes widened a bit. âOhâŠ.itâsâŠ. actually almost done.âÂ
Yes, most of the items had been sorted. Kyoshi just needed to finish them up, and then move the respected piles to where they needed to go.
âI got here earlyâŠ.â Kyoshi muttered. She kept her eyes on a pai sho table in the corner. She knew if she looked at Rangiâs face right now, then sheâd light up brighter than a firefly.Â
This wasnât good, if she couldnât face Rangi thenâŠ.. How was she going to be able to hide her feelings properly? Rangi was going to think she was upset with the firebender. She needed to get herself together.
âYeah Rangi,â Yun laughed. âThis is Kyoshi weâre talking about, how dare you question her skill of working fast and efficiently?â
Rangi turned on her heel to face Yun, giving him an indignant look. âD-donât put words in my mouth! I simply thought due to the volume that came in, and the fact you are skipping training to be a distraction, she may not have gotten as far as she did.â
âWell, I left the kitchen as soon as possible and got to work, just like you wanted ,â Kyoshi mumbled.Â
There was a moment of silence that caused Kyoshi to chance looking in Rangiâs direction. The two stared at her with worried expressions. Uh oh, Kyoshi hadnât made the right expression, or maybe her tone was off? She needed to rectify the situation.
Kyoshi scratched at her nose, bashfully. âDid I say something wrong?â
Rangi stared at her for a moment, and it took all of Kyoshiâs effort to keep her blush down. Rangi finally broke eye contact by looking at the ground. âNo⊠itâs justâŠ.â
âI think Kyoshiâs just a little nervous,â Yun announced.
Kyoshi felt her heart lurch in her chest. Oh she was nervous alright, but how could he possibly know?
âI just asked her to join the Fifth Nation signing and she agreed to go,â he continued calmly.
Oh he meant that . Kyoshi sighed, grateful for the coverup.
Rangiâs eyes boggled out of her head. âWh-what?! What do you mean sheâs going ?!â
Apparently he hadnât told Rangi, until now.
âI was going to tell you,â Yun smiled, putting his hands up in surrender.Â
Rangi spluttered and looked between Yun and Kyoshi. âHave you lost your mind ? The both of you? Sheâs not going!â
âAre you going against your Avatarâs wishes?â Yun grinned at her, but it made Rangi visibly flinch. Like he'd struck her, despite his joking tone. âCalm down, itâll be good to have her there.â
âGood for who ?â Rangi groused. She pressed a fist to her forehead and sighed. Then she glared at Yun and grabbed his sleeve. âWeâre talking about this later. Right now, Iâm taking you back to your training!â
She started to pull her charge towards the door.
âGah! Rangi! Wait!â Yun bemoaned.Â
Rangi practically threw the Avatar through the doorway in front of her, and then stopped with her hand on the doorframe. She looked back at Kyoshi with an expression Kyoshi couldnât place.
âAnd you-!â Rangi looked at Kyoshi and then the rest of the room, trying to find something to yell at her about. âClean-no. Just. Gah. Do whatever you were doing!â
Rangi slammed the door.Â
_____
Kyoshi quickly climbed the hill to the Avatarâs estate, a package in her arms. It had been a few days since Kyoshi had sung the poem about Rangi in the kitchen, as well as a few days since Yun had requested to join her on his adventure to sign the treaty.Â
Since then, things have been pretty hectic. She and other staff were running around trying to make sure supplies were in order for the big event in a few weeks.Â
Kyoshi was making frequent trips to the village to pick up various specially delivered packages. Though, she had a feeling that this one was more of a luxury item than one of necessity. She didnât complain though, at least it was light.Â
Kyoshi finally made it up the hill, and was just entering the gates when a familiar black and red cladded presence came out from behind the door as she passed through. Kyoshi screamed in surprise, just barely holding onto the package.
She looked down to see her ever timely friend, Rangi, waiting for her.Â
As punctual as always.Â
She gave Kyoshi an unreadable but stern look, the same one from when she first entered the gifting room. Come to think of it, that same look had been resting on her face for the past handful of daysâŠâŠ
âIâm sorry,â she gasped, apologizing for yelling in her friendâs face. âYou surprised me!â
Rangiâs expression didnât change, instead she turned and started walking away. Just slow enough to indicate to Kyoshi that she would escort her to her next destination.
Kyoshi frowned a bit, she hadnât liked Rangiâs new change in demeanor. On top of that, she barely talked when they were together. She felt like there was a wall, one that was much denser than when they first met. She was used to Rangi being a raging mother hen, not stoic and brooding.
She gathered herself and caught up to Rangi, and proceeded to walk side by side to Kyoshiâs next destination. Kyoshi took in the mansionâs beauty as they walked in silence. Since they would be leaving the mansion soon, most of the usual guests had left, so the staff was free to walk around parts of the mansion that were usually off limits. Like the garden. Which was the fastest shortcut to their next destination.
Kyoshi admired the layout, how the flowers were practically bursting over each other. The sand art that lined parts of the path. The way the rocks of the path felt like they came together in chaotic beauty. It was all very wabi-sabi.Â
Her favorite part of the garden was definitely the small pond. The way the koi would come up to greet them for food. The little bridge they built over it. The clearness of the water. The pretty hue of green of the algae and other plants grew on top of it. The way the reflection of the water shimmered and framed Rangiâs jaw and eyes as they passed-
Kyoshiâs head snapped away, her heart beating a million miles a second. Sheâd let her mind wander and didnât realize she was staring at her friend like-.... OhâŠ. she needed to shove these feelings down, and fast .Â
Oh she could only thank the spirits and Yangchen that she at least hadnât been caught staring.
âKyoshi,â Rangi said, breaking the silence and startling Kyoshi even more.
âY-yes?âÂ
âYou arenât going,â Rangi said. On top of her other new quirks, sheâd also acquired a new phrase she liked.
Kyoshi sighed. âI donât think I have a choice , Rangi. Itâs a special request from the Avatar .â
Rangi stopped walking and glared at Kyoshi. âOf course you have a choice! You just have to tell him you donât want to! Just tell him âno,â Kyoshi!â
Kyoshi raised an eyebrow and gave her a joking smile. âAnd disobey the Avatar?â
Rangi stiffened. âItâs not âdisobeyingâ if he gave you an option in the first place, right?â
âI donât mind though.â Ok, Kyoshi minded, just a bit . She was nervous. But it was a special request from Yun. She couldnât say no to her best friend.Â
Kyoshi dropped her voice into a low whisper, not wanting others to hear her, âPlus he practically begged me. How could I say no?â
Kyoshi thought that was the end of it, and started walking again, but stopped and almost fell back when a strong grip on her arm pulled her back.
âThen what about me , huh?â Rangi glared up at Kyoshi, practically in her face, and hand sturdy on Kyoshiâs arm. âWhat if I begged ? What if I begged you not to come along? What would you do then?â
Kyoshiâs heart pounded so hard, it radiated in her ears. What would she do? She technically should hold Rangiâs request in the same regard as Yunâs, sheâd do anything for her best friends. But these requests were contradictory, she was going to make someone unhappy.
Rangi shook Kyoshiâs arm once, and Kyoshi looked at Rangiâs face again. It wasnât the stoic mask sheâd grown accustomed to over the past few days, it was vulnerable. Pleading. Her eyes shone, not with the promise of sin, but with a promise ofâŠ.ofâŠ. something . Kyoshi wasnât sure, but she felt herself being pulled closer the longer she looked into them.
Rangi shook her arm again. â Please . Kyoshi, please donât come with us,â she begged, her hot breath fanning over Kyoshiâs face. Rangi was begging. Strong, prideful Rangi was begging meak Kyoshi for something. It wasnât right. Kyoshi wanted to drop what she was holding, and take Rangi into her arms. Reassure her that she would do whatever Rangi said.Â
Kyoshi bit her lip and gripped the package tightly, it was the only thing keeping her grounded. She fought the ever waging war in her heart, and self-control won out again. But just barely.Â
She was about to comply, when a horrifying thought ran through her head. What if Rangi didnât come back? Kyoshi couldnât bear it, if she wasnât going to see Rangi again then itâd be up until the final moment. Even if it meant her own doom.
Kyoshi shook her head. She tried to say âIâm sorryâ but found her throat and mouth were too dry.
Rangi grimaced and released her. âForget it,â she said, as she walked away. With her, she took a heat Kyoshi didnât realize had formed around them.

Monthly (& weekly) Update
Missing almost all of Octobers spooky, autumn mood ... but it's going upwards again
October Recap
A lot of time was spent in some kind of mind fog. I rewatched all 50 episodes of 'The Untamed' before the 24. of October because Netflix showed me that the series will be taken down then. Weirdly, but luckily, it is still there but I wasted a lot of my time and energy on watching Netflix. Originally I planned to rewatch the series during winter break when I actually have more free time, but because it is my favourite series and Netflix wanted to take it down, I had to watch it again.
Because of that my mental and physical health suffered a lot during that two weeks...
But I also did a lot of art in October! I did my first ever Bob Ross tutorial and it was so fun! I also went outside and did tree and leaf studies around my house (in the picture). Hopefully I will do it again sometime soon.
Besides that I also jumped into research about Romania and Romanian (prompted by a question in my Finnish course).
Romania is such a beautiful country and Romanian is also such a beautiful language! I didn't realize before that Romanian is a Romance language (even though it is literally in the name) and it is so useful! Because I learned Spanish for 6 years in school I can already understand a little bit. But I also love the sound of it. Especially because of the eastern-european influnces like 'sch' sounds.
I hope I can travel to Romania in the future. (I also have such a strong longing for the mountains. That is really the only thing I am missing here in Finland...)
Now a good old Weekly Update
28.10.-03.11.2024
finally a good week again... studying, dancing and the first snow!
Studying
I had a schooling for the Hygiene Passport and it felt so good to finally learn something else again besides Finnish
during this week was another self-study day and it is so nice to have these inbetween regular days (I can focus better on things that I don't know already, plus I am quicker with completing all the tasks!)
I took a deep dive into research Finnish Art as preparation for the coming week, it is so interesting!
Languages
I still need to work on my method for studying vocabulary, this is definitely a project for the next weeks
I studied a bit of Romanian. Every time it is so much fun trying to pronounce a new language. Although it is like taking wobbly baby steps. But it is an exhilarating feeling!
Health
the dry and cold air outside and the dry and warm air inside is not good for my skin and eyes...
I did a few dance workouts this week - my favourite form of cardio!
feeling a bit stressed this weekend and relaxing was difficult, but Yoga helped a bit
For myself
I learned the chorus dance of Kiss of Life's 'Igloo' Dance and it was so much fun. The dance is so addicting. I actually managed to learn it in 2 hours which is super fast for me. But it probably helped that it is in a style that I move more naturally in.
I took time to watch the old Addams Family movies for the first time and it was nice. I want to catch some of the remaining spooky, autumn vibes (even with snow outside) as I feel like I missed my favourite time and month of the year...
this week's
reading / watching / listening
Bitterthorn - Kat Dunn (2nd time I am reading it)
Addams family 1 & 2
Ronja Rövardotter
Imaginary Friend - ITZY
Igloo (Igloo) - Kiss Of Life
Smoke - Otyken
(I literally accidentally deleted this post right after posting it and instead of letting the hour of writing go to waste, I am rewriting it now stubbornly instead of crying and never doing it, even though I already wanted to sleep. Which is why it is also shorter than it was, but maybe that's a good thing... Good Night... 40 min. later than planned...)

Anyway, back to Episode 127.
After the recap Yusho asks Leo how the worlds got separated. Leo states it was because of the Four Dimensional Dragons.
A bit of a break here, in Leo's speech, we see the full body of Z-ARC, and it is shown its upper wings expand to the sky, making him look like a Pendulum. In the Arc-Ray form, these are closed, so here it is a representation of Z-ARC's isolation.
Another mention as we move to the En Cards, as more people now know, though there was a bit of a confusion back then, the separation to dimensions is caused by the interference of the Dragons, whose essences also grant the Yu-boys their Summoning method's powers. The En Cards themselves do not separate anything, they merely negate stuff. Separation of the four dimensions was, therefore, an accident, not a feature.
Leo's speech is interrupted by one of Academia's staff, the older version of the guy we saw in Reiji's flashback, who informs Leo Yuya has escaped.
We cut to Kaito, and Edo knocked out on the floor. Edo questions if this was Yuya's power.
We cut to Leo who demands the four Yuzu Hiragis.
A bit of a break here, in the Pixiv tags, and Japanese fandom in general, the Bracelet Girls are called the Yuzu series, and Yuboys are called the Yuya series, so this is a reference to that.
Yuya appears, and hugs Yusho. Yuya tells Yuzu is kidnapped by Academia, Yusho tells him to not worry, and states to Leo his son is crying, and they shouldn't make children cry anymore.
Yusho tells him to explain his greater motivation, Leo is surprised Yuya made this far.
Leo states Yuya is not Yusho's son. Yuya states he should stop speaking nonsense, and give Yuzu back. Leo states he is trying to bring back truth.
The girls appear in the pods, they will be here for a while. Doktor states everything is prepared, Yuya, and Yuto demand the girls back, Doktor asks Leo to leave this to him, and have Leo watch Yuya's defeat.
Doktor asks Leo to experiment on Yuya (through a Duel, of couse) with the Parasite Queen to find out what happened to the Fusion Parasite that was absorbed by Z-ARC. Leo asks to him to stop, and asks if he really thinks he can beat Yuya.
Doktor starts gloating about how smart he is, and states he showcased how human bodies can be controlled by monsters. He states he developed Fusion Parasite to see the real possibilities of Real Solid Vision, and continues on his demand.
Leo states he once did the same thing, leading to the creation of Z-ARC, so he considers Doktor's thinking dangerous.
Yusho tries to stop him, but he cards Doktor.
With Doktor's carding, Fusion Parasites go to recessive state (they aren't actually destroyed, or absorbed, which I guess explains all the fetish art on Pixiv). Girls get their consciousness back, sort of (again, Fusion Parasites are still inside), Yuya, and Yuzu try to have a moment, but Leo stops Yuya.
Serena asks what's going on, Leo states they have a right to know the truth, and goes back to his speech.
Leo relays Z-ARC's statement that he is born out of people's desire for strength (Z-ARC isn't considering himself as a human for a while), and states ignoring the fact that Duel Monsters have souls, he created a monster that feeds on negative emotions.
A bit of a break here, this feed on negative emotion stuff is a reference Great Evil God Zorc, or Zorc Necrophades in the dub. Leo believes much like Zorc, Z-ARC is basically Giygas.
Leo states, in order to compete with Z-ARC, he tried to create a card with natural energies, we see him observing a volcano, a waterfall, an iceberg, and a desert.
This process fails initially, until he sees his rose to give him inspiration from plants, two birds to give him inspiration from animals. We see a leaf falling down with the wind.
He states living creatures' (including humans' obviously) desire to live can remove the dark desires of humanity, and surpass the power of Z-ARC. We see a blue full moon.
A bit of a break here, the point of En Cards is not to defeat Z-ARC, but merely remove the corruption. Leo obviously also wants to defeat him after purifying him, because that's the only way you can show it to a power-mad person, but that is not the initial stage here.
Leo states using poor equipment he managed to create the 4 En Cards.
A bit of a stop here, due to plurality ambiguity of Japanese language, it is unclear if Leo always expected to have 4 cards, but his mention of the poor equipment suggests he intended to have just one card.
He states he intended to battle Z-ARC himself, but as seen in the flashback, immediately after the four cards were created, Ray appeared, and snatched them. Leo explains Ray's deal, there isn't much of a shock from the audience besides Reiji, and Yusho.
We cut back to the flashback, Ray states Leo is necessary for the future, Leo dismisses that, and states young people are needed for the future. Leo states he created Z-ARC (indirectly of course), and he should be paying the price, and young people can live.
Ray states she doesn't want to lose her father, and uses an unnamed card. Leo escapes the debris, and then chases after Ray.
Leo finds Ray dueling Z-ARC. The platform she is dueling Z-ARC has red crystals, reminiscent of Barian World, even though this is on top of a tower.
I don't think I need to explain why there is an obvious Barian World reference here, right now. Thank you ARC-V for making my job easier I guess. But yes, even back in the day, Z-ARC's mere presence was merging realms, this is a hint towards that, among other things.
Ray uses the four En Cards, we cut to flowers blossoming, birds flying, and red moon sending its energy through the wind.
Leo is stepping on floating blue crystals, there are Roman pillars similar to final Nasch vs. Yuma duel's field.
Leo tries to stop Ray, we see how the Red Crystal structure is there (again, very reminiscent of the Nasch vs. Yuma field), but he is stopped by a barrier, created from En Cards' energy.
Leo states Ray is absorbing natural world's energy from the cards to herself. Leo tries to stop her, but the En Cards manifest into the bracelets. Z-ARC calls her "kisama", we see the shot of Four Dragons struggling inside Z-ARC, Z-ARC states she is unforgivable, and they will become one.
A bit of a break here, in the original incarnation of Z-ARC, the Dimension Dragons could not separate from Z-ARC, so Supreme King Dragons are not present yet. Z-ARC's statement also suggests the Fusion was unstable anyway (makes sense, Astrograph Sorcerer was also corrupt at the time). Z-ARC's dragonic form has yellow eyes here, instead of the red eyes from the previous episode, and we see scales breaking on the silhouette, much like what will happen with Yuya's Z-ARC form. Z-ARC's "we become one" to Ray is also ironic, considering what happens in both the series ending, and Arc-Ray Dragon.
The dragons separate, Ray divides to four, and Z-ARC separates, and so does the world.
A bit of an interesting visual tidbit here, Ray's, and the world's divided colours are purple, green, red, and blue, same as the colours of the Yuboys, and NOT the same as Bracelet Girls, or En Cards. Again, a cool visual reference to the fact it is the dragons that caused the separation, not the En Cards, but also serves as a future hint of a bit of Ray, and En Cards are inside Yuboys, and vice versa for the Bracelet Girls.
Reira is distressed, Leo explains he was in a strange town. He states other Summoning methods were not present, only Standard (ie. Tribute Summon). He touches a monster (Tyhone #2, known as Red Dragon in Japanese), and sees his hand going through it, the kids explain it is not there, and it is just Solid Vision, Leo states he didn't know who he was.
A brief break here. The park Leo is stuck is supposed to be the Domino City park, which is where the Haga vs. Jonouchi duel took place, though it was in a different part of the park. The Duel Disks the kids are using are the original Duel Monsters era Duel Disks.
So yes, Leo is in Domino City now. The why should be obvious, he was associated with KaibaCorp's latter successors back in the United World (if not outright implied to be a former employee, as we discussed before), so he got stuck in the place where the seeds of Solid Vision was first developed.
He states his knowledge as an engineer remained in his subconscious. We see his garage station from the Yusho flashback once again, he states he made improvements to the Solid Vision as if he was motivated by something. We return back to the Yusho flashback.
Yusho, and Leo affirm the discussion, Leo states the demon (Z-ARC) is split into four due to Ray's sacrifice. Yuzu says that can't be, and Ruri says you don't say.
Leo continues his talk, he states he became aware of the past by examining why he had memories of the future, and thus begun to regain them. He became obssessed with the fact that since he lived, Ray must be alive somewhere in the four dimensions.
A bit of a break here, the memory probe machine Leo uses on himself is the same as the memory probes we saw in the previous episodes, which were all based on the machine used to supress Judai's memories of Yubel in GX S3. I probably mentioned this, but it bears repeating.
Reiji realizes this was when he start to ignore him, and Himika. Reiji states since then Himika has changed, we see Reiji's much earlier flashback of Himika destroying business papers. Reiji states this was why he decided to take revenge on Leo, he couldn't forgive Leo for what he did to his mom.
A bit of a break here, in the Himika flashback, Reiji should be around 11, and in his resolve to move to Fusion Dimension, we know he was 14.
Reiji states this was when he learned about Leo's war aims, but Leo states it wasn't for a war of aggression. Reiji asks what was the goal then, Leo states it was because he believed in Ray's survival, and found traces of her in Academia. Reiji realizes this was Serena. Serena says what.
Leo states Serena was the spitting image of younger Ray, and he become convinced when he saw the bracelet. Leo states there was no memory of Ray inside Serena. This caused a memory to reappear, he saw Ray's shadow split into four alongside Z-ARC.
A bit of a break here, the reason why there isn't traces of Ray's soul in the girls, but there are traces of Z-ARC inside the Yuboys should be obvious. Ray's prime essence is basically God now, and more specifically the monster card Beyond the Pendulum, as we find out much much later after the show's airing. The traces of Z-ARC's soul inside Yuboys are not of human Z-ARC (initially anyway), but the parts of Z-ARC inside the dragons.
Leo states he assumed Ray was split into the four dimensions, Yuya figures this means Yuzu, and Serena are both Ray. Leo affirms this. We get the panshots of the girls.
Leo states he was certain Ray had a new life in the four dimensions, and his goal became to unify all reincarnations of Ray back into Ray.
Leo explains Arc Area Project's purpose was to gather life energy to combine the four dimensions into one.
Reiji asks how this will work, Leo showcases the ARC-V reactor., and states this will be the equipment that will resurrect the world, and bring the fifth dimension.
A bit of a break here, in the previous statements, Leo uses the term "hitotsu", same as Z-ARC, but in ARC-V's reveal, he uses term "saisei", resurrection, meaning, as we mentioned before, his true goal is not to combine all dimensions into a one, but reset the world back into the United World's timeline, with presumably a bit of changes that would avoid Z-ARC's corruption, Ray's sacrifice, and a couple of other things, like his ex-wife, and coworkers coming back, and, as we will discuss later with his Deck, him becoming the next God.
ARC-V's animation is very similar to the Spirit Gate lock back in GX S1's ending, as we discussed before, the visuals imply the reactor is built on top of it.
Leo states the unnatural division of the worlds will disappear, so will the Bracelet Girls back into Ray, and it will be new beginning, thus the name Revival Zero.
Yuzu asks if they will become one, Serena states this is such a stupid thing to do, Rin, and Ruri are too scared to talk.
Yuto realizes his comrades are thrown into this thing, Yuya states he cannot allow this, Reira is scared, Reiji asks if this was all for Ray's resurrection, and remembers Yuri's name in the file.
Reiji realizes Yuri is Z-ARC's Fusion part, and the cast realizes Yuya is Z-ARC's Standard variant. Leo asks Reiji to lend him his power, so they can defeat Yuya together. Leo states Z-ARC was also split into four, and Yuya is part of Z-ARC, so since Z-ARC's power came from Duel Monsters, the only way to seal it is through a Duel.
Leo states Reiji's (half-)sister Ray sacrificed herself, thus he should honor her sacrifice by defeating Yuya. Yuto is shocked he is a reincarnation of Z-ARC.
Yuzu states Yuya is not like that, Serena states there is no way that is true. Leo states they all saw Yuya fuse with Yuto, and they should seal Yuya's power.
Yuya states he is not a demon, Reiji affirms this, and says he saw he brought smiles to people. Reiji states Yuya helped the occupation back in Xyz to change their mind, and it was noy Yuya who caused the end of peace, but Leo himself. Reiji states his goal is not worth it to bring fear to people, and he will stop Leo with Yuya. Yusho picks a card, and Leo vs. Reiji-Yuya duel begins.
Next episode is Leo duel.
That was the episode, here's the lore.
It might be weird that none of the Bracelet Girls have traces of Ray, but as we discussed before, Dimension Counterparts are more close to being manifestations of the En Cards, than their originals. So yes, Yuya, in the absence of Z-ARC, and Odd-Eyes' essences, is technically made of tomatoes in actuality.
There is a lot of "hitotsu" talk here, as an obvious in-joke, since both Yuzu, and Leo use the term. There is an obvious parallel with Leo, and Z-ARC's God complexes, and Leo is too focused to notice that.
And yes, earlier incarnation of Z-ARC was technically weaker, but we don't have the card representing that, so it might not be weaker in the OCG.
Leo's talk about the younger generation is a huge theme in ARC-V, as we discussed in Season 2's ending. ARC-V doesn't really play well with it, but we'll see how the post-canon goes.
Leo's flashback is the only time we see the proper original Domino City, so it was kinda nostalgic.
The fact that En Cards are manifestation of living creatures' desire to survive is a reference to Holactie, of course, and the final confrontation with Zorc.
Leo's initial attempts of using regular powers of the world (as seen with his treks to the four biomes) failed, meaning En Cards are only powerful because of their association with life, regular elements cannot work on Z-ARC. The four biomes roughly correspond to the four biomes at the Battle Royale at the end of the Season 1, but are obviously meant to reference various Elemental Decks of GX era.
The concept of Kachofugetsu used on En Cards has no deep philosophical meaning, it is just a classic artistic term:
While Z-ARC's initial form looks like a Pendulum, since Odd-Eyes Dragon was in its regular form, this incarnation of Z-ARC is not a Pendulum monster. We will discuss more about this later.
As we discussed before, Leo's goal on Yuya changes from carding him, to capturing him, to sealing him. He also talks about Z-ARC as a monster in the flashback, but as a duelist when talking about Yuya being Z-ARC's reincarnation.

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon EP#02 - The Three Princesses: When they were four years old, Towa and Setsuna were playing together in a forest until they get caught in a fire and while trying to rescue her sister, Towa is dragged away by a portal which leaves her stranded in the present. She is found by Kagome's younger brother SĆta, who takes her in. Ten years later, Towa is being harassed by some bullies despite changing schools to avoid them, although she easily defeats them in a fight. Back in the past, the Demon Slayers Hisui (the son of Sango and Miroku), Kohaku, and Setsuna confront Moroha, mistaking her for a demon that is attacking the locals, until Mistress Three-Eyes appears and steals the Red and Gold Rainbow Pearls in Moroha and Setsuna's possession to power herself up. In the present, the bullies return and hold Towa's adopted family hostage, but she makes quick work of them and then they flee once they hear the police sirens, unaware that they were just passing by. Suddenly, a portal opens, dragging Setsuna, Moroha, and Mistress Three-Eyes to the present before Towa, who recognizes her long-lost beloved twin sister. Sensing the Silver Rainbow Pearl in Towa's possession, Mistress Three-Eyes attacks her as well. Towa tries to slash her, but her sword breaks in half, much to her shock.
Dr. Stone: Stone Wars (Communications Arc) EP#08 (32) - Final Battle: Senku is shown earlier when he first de-petrified. Taiju and Senku look back at when they woke up and where everything first started. The Kingdom of Science march towards the miracle cave, consequently Senku fires the gorilla-tank with the aim of reducing morale. Kohaku and the others begin their frontal-assault, however the tank falls prey to the anti-steam vehicle traps. Magma and Chrome use their new weapon, the Sonic-Cannon to immobilize multiple soldiers of the Tsukasa Empire. Nikki and Ukyo stop Minami from warning Tsukasa. To the surprise of Ukyo, Tsukasa and Hyoga arrive at the miracle cave. Kohaku and Kokuyo rush Tsukasa in order to make time for Senku to escape.
My Hero Academia Season 5 (Joint Training Arc) EP#97 (09): Early Bird!: Creating a plan targeting Bakugo's selfish traits, The Class B Team quickly works to overwhelm Class A only to be driven back by their perfect teamwork. Bakugo will always seek a perfect victory and that includes not letting a single member of his team fall. In the end, Match 4 finishes in 5 minutes with a victory for Class A. After, Bakugo awkwardly shrugs off Midoriya and All Mightâs compliments. As Match 5 nears, Monoma and his team begin discussing their strategy, with their main focus being to take Midoriya down first. Elsewhere, Midoriya practices with One For All, and the quirk operates no different than usual. At long last, the final match of Joint Training begins.
Food Wars: The Third Plate (Promotion Exams Arc) EP#56 (19) - A Declaration of War: With the exception of Soma, Erina, Megumi, and Takumi, all of the rebels lose their matches against the Elite Ten and are expelled. The remaining rebels decide that the only way to overturn the expulsions is to challenge the Elite Ten to a Shokugeki, but they cannot convince Azami to agree to the challenge. Joichiro and Senzaemon unexpectedly arrive and propose a team Shokugeki called a Regiment de Cuisine. Joichiro offers to join Central if the rebels lose, and Azami agrees. Joichiro, Senzaemon, and Dojima proceed to personally train Soma and his friends. They start with a 3v3 cooking match where Joichiro, Soma, and Erina compete against Dojima, Megumi, and Takumi. They must cook Hachis Parmentier, with an additional rule that teammates may not speak to each other. During this match, both Joichiro and Dojima diverge from the standard hachis parmentier recipe to further test the students.
Black Clover: Six Months of Training Arc EP#157 - Five-Leaf Clover: Gaja asks Asta about his early life and the Devil in his Grimoire so Asta explains about being found by Father Orsi, his childhood with Yuno at Hage and his initial failure to receive a Grimoire. After Yuno was attacked by Revchi, Asta was granted the 5 clover Grimoire and was accepted into the Black Bulls while Yuno was accepted by the Golden Dawn, later finding the Demon Dweller sword that allowed him to borrow the magic of others and his first contact with the elves, when Patry was still masquerading as Licht. He also explains how Yami taught him Ki detection. Gaja asks how Asta activates his devil form so Asta explains about his visit to the Witches Forest and his fight against Ladros when he activated his devil form by accident, then his training at Yultim volcano where he activated it intentionally. Asta explains how he received the Demon Destroyer sword during the Elves invasion that helped in his defeat of the devil Zagred. All that remained was his trial by Parliament and attempting to prove his innocence. Satisfied with the tale Gaja resumes dueling with Asta. Meanwhile, Loropechika explains to Noelle how everyone is improving and Noelle is hopeful she can get revenge for her mother. Gaja disarms Asta and momentarily sees Liebe manifesting himself to protect Asta from harm and decides he must push Asta to his limit to grow his powers even further. Within Asta, Liebe declares events are getting a lot more interesting.

One Piece Anime Wano Arc Episodes 890
One Piece Anime: Wano Arc, Episodes 890 This honestly is less going to be a review and more of a commentary as I watch through the anime's rendition of the Wano arc. I've honestly never really watched too much of the One Pieceanime, mostly just looking up the highlights of the arcs I read in the manga. I did watch the filler episodes and most of the movies, as I've talked about at length recently. And everyone tells me that the anime has some rather terrible pacing, particularly around the time of Dressrossa, which is apparently pretty padded out. But then I heard the absolute opposite for Wano, where the anime has received a new art-style and one hell of a fancy makeover. And I thought... hey, I'm on a One Piece kick this year, clearly, so yeah, I think I'm going to give this a shot.
The Wano arc, I think, is one that works a lot better because it has the reverse problem of a lot of One Piece arcs -- there are a lot of moments in Act One of the manga's version of the story that the writer clearly purposefully threw in a couple of off-screened moments that the anime could expand into full action scenes. I already know that Sanji versus Page One is fully animated in the anime, and scenes like Big Mom vs. Kaido or Zoro vs. Basil Hawkins are extended a lot more than the couple of panels we had in the manga. And Wano's got a lot of supporting characters, some of which actually get swept under the rug when I first read through the manga chapters weekly. So yeah, having bright colours and voices and music is going to make this a much more fun experience!
Anyway, here goes my collection of random notes and commentary. Be aware that there will be MANGA SPOILERS, as I will point out a couple of things here and there about stuff I notice that's foreshadowing or whatever:
* Marco's blue-and-yellow phoenix form looks so, so much more vibrant and pops out compared to anything else in the series in colour, huh? I think out of any other character, Marco is extra-memorable in animated format. * That said, basically half this episode is just a recap of the Paramount War. I mean, I haven't seen the Paramount War in full animated format, so it's nice to hear Whitebeard and Ace and Marco speak some of their more famous lines there. But on the other hand, it's also it's kind of one of the more-criticized parts of the One Piece anime that any time they could pad out an episode with scenes from a previously-produced episode, they will. * We actually get to see the Grudge/Payback War in the anime! I think this is less of a showcase of events that actually happened and more of a symbolic one, but hey, we get to see Blackbeard doing some sky-quakes and black holes and Marco turning phoenix. It just shows the Whitebeard division commanders getting sucked into a giant Dragon-Ball-esque spirit bomb Black Hole. Actually pretty neat! * Jozu has both arms in that vision. Whether it's an error or a spoiler or if he has a prosthetic a la Akainu in Film: Z, we'll see eventually.
* This episode also has a bit of a recap of the revelations about Wano from the Zou arc, but it's a lot shorter and feels a lot more relevant to the upcoming arc. * Brook actually expresses some interest on Vivi, apparently having heard of her from the others. I've always liked this from the filler episodes, of the newer Straw Hats slowly learning about prior adventures. Brook being Brook, of course, a panty joke was tossed in. * The Japanese-art style water waves look so pretty when animated! * The random octopus that makes Japanese kabuki theater (?) sounds is another thing that works so much better in the anime. I've always thought it felt a bit forced and random in the manga version. * The high-tempo music when the Sunny sails into the koi waves is very, very fun! * Ah, yes, the very first chapter of Wano in the manga shows off a bunch of carps jumping up a waterfall. You know, considering the whole legend that a carp that jumps over the waterfall transforms into a dragon... i.e., a fish that is also a dragon...
* The first one that's properly and almost fully drawn in the new Wano art style! And it looks gorgeous. * Also a new theme song! I've never paid that much attention to theme songs in anime, but I definitely like "One Dream One Wish" more than "We're the Super Powers". Shame that, as with most anime, the opening sort of spoils, like, half of the things that happens in the arc. * Speaking of great background music... the tempo of that opening instrumental that Komurasaki plays on shamisen is pretty catchy, especially with that octopus going iyooo~ in the background. It also makes for very fun background music for Zoro's rampage at the end of the episode. * Anime Wano is so freaking colourful. The rooftops, the kimonos, the hair... I think I remembered reading that Oda made it a point to subvert the fact that everyone in feudal Japan had black hair by explicitly doing the opposite -- black hair is the exception rather than the norm in Wano. Fun! * The frog on Usopp's hat is a real frog! I always thought it was just a hat! It's adorable! The wiki tells me it's called Gama Pyonnosuke. It's an adorable friend! Forget Carrot or Kin'emon or Yamato, Gama Pyonnosuke for next Straw Hat! * The biggest expansion here is that we actually follow Zoro around as he wanders around the city until he gets arrested by the corrupt magistrate. And Zoro actually bumps into the man-slayer and corrupt magistrate, actually explaining why he recognizes the specific scent of blood during the whole seppuku court. * And then we get around a minute of Zoro fighting the magistrate guards with the seppuku knife and good ol' fisticuffs, something that I didn't think I needed, but is certainly very fun to watch! * This new animation studio loves the angled zoom-in into eyes, and I highly approve. I think we had that like at least three times when Zoro decides to get dangerous.
* I never quite realized that if Luffy hadn't been interrupted by the octopus and washed up next to the Thousand Sunny, the poor ship would be literally left to its own devices. You'd think after losing Merry, the Straw Hats would be more careful with their ships... * Zoro gets to slash the magistrates up even more! It's a single Tatsu Maki, but god damn what a pretty Tatsu Maki. The shot of his feet kicking and breaking the wooden floor, the black aura around his blades, the way that the dragon aura appears behind him, the demonic red eyes as Zoro slams down from the sky, and the shots of the surrounding terrain being cut up into cubes... pretty awesome! * Luffy dodging the bullet from the random Beast Pirate goon with Observation Haki and the gomu-gomu-long-range-bitchslap has always been cool in the manga, and this episode makes it even cooler. Those glowing eyes! This is going to be the whole commentary, isn't it? Just me commenting on the scenes I find to be really cool? * Luffy's Conqueror Haki against the giant baboon is another very cool one. From the expression to the delivery of the line to the sound effect... Luffy's expression is actually pretty cool and borderline scary as he beats up the second goon. No wonder Tama went straight into "This is the I surrender pose!" * Also added in the anime is a vignette of Franky, Robin and Usopp seeing the news of Zorojuro becoming a wanted criminal. Again, not entirely necessary to know the story, but actually scenes that I don't mind being shown to us. Particularly that scene of Usopp utterly bullshitting an officer. * Luffy pets Komachiyo with his rubber arms. Komachiyo is a good boy. This is the most important scene.
* Did the manga show Luffy hiding the Sunny and letting it anchor in a cave? I don't remember it. I know that before the flashback and the raid we see the Sunny there, but it's nice to actually show Luffy not being so callous with the Sunny. * They got a pretty good voice actress for Tama that really makes her pretty adorable! So many times these kid guest star characters end up being annoying if they don't get a good voice, but between the voice-acting and the expressions, she's pretty fun! * Also, I think this is going to be something I repeat a couple of times, but both Tama and Tenguyama are so much more visually interesting with their full colour palettes. * Oh, right, Drake was the one that ransacked Tama's village. Wonder if that'll actually come up later on in the story... * Okay, thanks to the anime, it's really going to drill to me that it's pronounced 'Diez Drake' and not 'Eks Drake'. * I'm pretty sure everyone noticed it, but Ace learned to weave hats in Wano! That's how he became buddies with Oars Junior! I didn't notice it until just now!
* (Episode is the Cidre Guild filler arc that ties in to Stampede.) * What is Tenguyama waiting for? It's probably Oden or his retainers, but I don't think he's part of the samurai that was recruited by Kin'emon's group. Maybe he just missed the big recruitment drive, but that's weird. I wonder what role he's going to play in the arc... * There is a random metal guitar riff when Luffy sees the Nidai Kitetsu. And a glow of Observation Haki on Luffy's eyes. That's a small detail, but very cool! He also uses Observation when Hawkins arrives later on. I love the little trail of glowing red that streams out of his pupils when he activates it. * Tenguyama's sword has a very cool leaf-based handguard! Never noticed that. * Speaking of cool Observation Haki effects, Zoro's apparently activates when he senses sake. Appropriate! * I know it's me repeating this over and over, and we'll get so many cooler scenes later on, but Zoro casually launching that Phoenix Cannon to blow up the two random raptor-riders when he saves Tsuru? Such a simple scene but still so cool. Also very cool is the very brief slo-mo as Zoro re-angles the pathway of his slice when cutting down the second random goon. * Unlike most of the other things, I've always noticed that Basil Hawkins has a very cool Koma-deer mount. It looks even cooler in motion!
* This is perhaps one of the more extended scenes, since it features... fight scenes! In the manga, I think this lasted... maybe half a chapter? Less? A couple of page spreads? It's not just the Hawkins fight, either, Luffy's 'swordfighting' with Nidai Kitetsu also gets extended. Luffy's a bit more successful in using the sword to block and parry here. * Luffy's voice actor really makes the 'de gozaru' sound really funny. * I 100% missed Tsuru the first time I read through this chapter since we only see part of her in a single panel before her full-body debut after the Hawkins fight, and it's a lot less likely that you'll make that mistake in the anime. * Some 'elite' goons show up here, including a guy that uses his ponytail as a whip against Zoro, and a dude that makes fissures with a hammer that fights Luffy. Probably feels a bit more filler-y compared to the rest of the action scenes, but that's honestly nitpicking. * Zoro launching a Phoenix Cannon that slashes Hawkins's face is very cool. * Hawkins' little straw dolls gets an extended scene of it crawling out of his arm. It's so creepy, I love it. * Hawkins' giant straw demon StandBankaigets an very cool summoning animation and it's so creepy. The skies darkens and everything. Most importantly, it makes noises! Again, I love it.
* Luffy and Zoro vs. Hawkins! It's extended beyond just the simple 'dodge, then one-shot-slash' that it was in the manga. I really like Hawkins and his creepy-ass Straw Stand, so I am a huge fan of this. We get a couple of nice juxtaposition shots of Hawkins and the straw monster. Also Zoro goes shirtless in the fight. That's an important detail! * I really, really love how Zoro is having a gritted-teeth expression as he fights the giant straw demon; the straw demon is going gakakakakakakaka like a lunatic... then we cut to Hawkins who has a deadpan, bored expression as he swings his sword in the distance. * The animators really like to let the straw monster use the nails entwined to the tips of its fingers. That's fun! Zoro backhand-blocking the nails from hitting Luffy and Tama? That's cool! * Zoro does Ichi-Gorilla-Ni-Gorilla at one point, and totally slices and 'kills' Hawkins a bunch of times. * Also, speaking of pretty, glowing-eyes motion shots, Zoro using Nigiri: Toro Samon? Yeah. The cut itself is cool, but the zoom-in on Zoro's eyes as he does so? I'm sorry, I have a weakness for that kind of shot, it appears. * To extend the fight so that it's not just a single exchange of blows, Komachiyo gets knocked to the ground so that Zoro and the straw demon can actually fight for a bit. * Also shots I have a weakness to? DBZ-style 'aftermath of a powerful move'. This one isn't too over-the-top, but the slash extending into the sky and the shockwave rippling out from where Zoro slices the strawman thing is cool. * We actually see the scene of Okiku being harassed by Urashima in chronological order, and Urashima scares off a customer. Also, the implied scene of Zoro scaring off Urashima is actually shown here.
* This episode kind of extends the scenes in Tsuru's shop a bit more. Not the most exciting thing, but it does really help to build up Tama, Tsuru and Kiku. * ...wait, Tsuru's shop just displays the Kozuki crest very, very evidently on its door awning. If simply speaking the Kozuki name alone is a punishable crime, how did they get away with that? * Zoro trying to get Luffy to adopt a Wano-ized name is extra-funny in the anime! * Speaking of extended fight scenes, Batman gets to shoot alotmore arrows at Luffy and Zoro. It's kind of over-the-top on Batman's part, if we're being honest, even if Zoro and Luffy very easily dispatches of them.
* The anime does give Batman the ability to control his arrows via sonic waves or something, but he lasted for a much, much longer time than he really should have. * Batman fucking blocks Luffy's Busoshoku-empowered punch! He most definitely doesn't do it in the manga, and sure, knocking Luffy down with sonic waves? I buy that. Blocking Luffy and causing a small explosion in the air? ...I'm pretty sure just some random Gifter isn't supposed to be able to do that. Unless they're thinking of the other Batman? * They make the initial shot of Holdem answering the phone with the lion face pretty intimidating! * Holdem's lion beating their shared balls is still one of the weirdest jokes in the manga. * Some really nice face shots in this one, from Tama to Holdem to the lion to Luffy's group.
* A pretty obvious extended filler is Urashima bullying other sumo wrestlers. Urashima is kind of a dipshit, so it's not a particularly enjoyable filler for me. * Zoro gets to sumo-wrestle with one of Urashima's goons! This one, on the other hand, is pretty fun. We also get a little added bit where Zoro smirks after remembering Kiku's earlier insistence that she's a samurai, so it's less of a 'he doesn't give a shit' and more 'he wants to see what Kiku's skill is' or something.
* Luffy vs. Urashima is prolonged a bit in here, obviously. Not as entertaining as fighting Hawkins or even Batman, but okay, sure. Lots of grunting and growling in this one. Urashima cheats a bit more, Luffy has to use Armament Haki at one point... really don't think Urashima's someone that you should bother using hardening on, Luffy. * The kabuki-style delivery of "I'm going to be the king of pirates" is very well done. * Poor Tama! Holdem's a jackass. * We actually get to see Urashima crashing into Holdem's house, in yet another obvious 'hey, anime team, this is something for you to animate' scene from the manga. * Law gets an extended scene with seeing the sick Bepo, including a Room/Scan showcase and Bepo looking cute and Law being unable to keep being angry at him.
* The fight against the pirates and samurai in Bakura Town gets extended a fair bit in this episode. Luffy throws Nidai Kitetsu's scabbard around again, repeating the thing he did before. * This episode noticeably has a bunch of brief flashbacks to previous episodes. Anime episodes do this all the time to easily eat up like, ten or fifteen seconds of runtime. But I felt this one was particularly noticeable since it's to the previous episode which we already had a recap segment of before the episode begun. * Ball-de-boo!
* We get an adorable crayon drawing memory when Luffy remembers Zunisha one-shotting Jack's fleet. * Luffy and Zoro's synchronized neck-crick is pretty fun. Also fun is their super-speed when they simultaneously rescue Tama and steal the food barge. The question is, where is this super-speed when they were bamboozled by Batman and Gazelleman? * Unlike the anime, Holdem is able to turn his sword into a flaming segmented sword. It's like Zabimaru from Bleach, but on fire! * We get an extra scene of a random goon holding Kiku hostage and Zoro locking eyes with her and saying "I'm not going to help you", knowing full well she's pretending to be a damsel in distress. * Speed also gets to do something here! She gets to shoot Armament Haki'd arrows at Zoro and Kiku! In the manga she doesn't do anything while this is happening. * REDDO HAAAAAWK! * God damn that's a very satisfying Red Hawk. Such a pretty-looking one! This was the scene that a friend showed me that got me excited to sit down and watch the Wano arc in anime format. From Holdem shooting a lion's fire (how does that work?) and engulfing Luffy, to Tama's yelling, to the zoom-in to Luffy's angry eyes, to the orb of flame dissipating, the zoom-in to Luffy's angry face, the impact, the music... it's just Luffy beating up Holdem, who means jack-all in the grand scheme of things, but what a badass Red Hawk.
And I think that's a neat place to stop off, with the initial Hawkins-Urashima-Holdem opening prologue to Wano done with. I'm not sure how often I'll update this little watch-along series, but I certainly am enjoying myself!

BnHA Chapter 239: Weâre Fucked
Previously on BnHA: Actually itâs been two weeks, so I barely even remember. Let me just... take another... Ah, right. So Tomura brought it up a notch to Goth Level x20 and destroyed all of his Surplus Hands in a fit of independence, and Re-Destro was like â!!!â and then turned himself into a giant robot as a counter-flex. Meanwhile Gigantomachia continued to smash shit and also defeated Orange Leaf because lord knows Dabi was never actually going to get around to it. Compress called Ujiko and was all âhey can you please stop your guy because Iâm afraid heâs going to smash us once heâs done smashing everything else,â but Ujiko was all, âlisten if Shigaraki dies then he dies!!â But Iâm pretty sure Shigaraki isnât actually going to die. Re-Destro, though? He might be dead. Guess weâll find out.
Today on BnHA: Nope, Re-Destro isnât dead. So it goes like this: Tomura, who is now incredibly hot by the way, annihilates the entire fucking town leaving only bits of rubble, basically. Everyone is all, âLOOK AT THIS ARE YOU FUCKING SEEING THIS HOLY SHITâ and basically just watching in awe. Re-Destro chops off his own fucking feet so as not to be disintegrated himself, something which everyone is way too fucking calm about tbh. And in the aftermath Tomura stands there all âlol I won,â and RD is like, âyeah you sure did,â and I was expecting Tomura to be all âwell anyways, [kill]â but instead RD is like, âHEREâS THE KEYS TO YOUR NEW ARMYâ and Tomura is âHEY COOLâ and SOMEHOW THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER AND WORSE ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Heh. Anyways whereâs that comic with the dog in the house thatâs on fire. That about sums it all up.
(All comments are my unspoiled reactions from my initial readthrough of the chapter. I did a quick edit for grammar and clarity immediately afterward, but aside from that there are no changes, and even that was a rush job since I was late in reading the chapter this week. I basically have not edited this at all lulz.)
sounds like someone is about to get the official Gigantomachia Seal of Approval at long last! sure did take this boy a while to get accredited, but he kept at it! thereâs a lesson there, folks. if at first you donât succeed, stop sleeping for two months and then power-hallucinate your way to success
so weâre opening with Hanabata and his van! I sure hope this mofo is about to die, because mofos need to start dying already. Iâve loved this arc and weâve had some really great times, but I never did have much patience for this particular point of any given arc. side villains need to know when to die. respect for Kizuki, at least she had the right idea
on the other hand we are being gifted with some pretty fun panels, such as this
wah, his shoes. heh
oh my god
did he slam into the van when it hit the brakes to avoid Tomuraâs Destruction Radius. ouch
so heâs narrating about how some crazy shit is going down over where Tomura is. and that âour story was at a standstill, but now...â
listen, that âbut nowâ had better mean that youâre about to de-standstill and wrap things up
-- holy shit
Iâm not -- Tomura, what!?! youâre hot?! is it just me?? am I fucking losing it?? what the fuck. can you seriously just cut off anyoneâs fingers and theyâll magically grow 40x hotter!? somebody count Aizawaâs fingers for me
shit. this isnât even my normal aesthetic! Tomura youâre crossing genre barriers here. I canât speak for everyone, but I deeply suspect that youâre appealing very widely right now
the moral of this story is, eyeliner. thatâs it. thatâs the moral
in other news, Twice shouting âhang in there, Giran!â speaks for all of us, I think, and he had better get a medal for being VIP of this fucking arc. and Giran, itâs good to get some exercise
so who is this monologuing now?
is this a flashback to All for One? or RD getting all philosophical as the countdown inches ever closer to his doom?
like, this could seriously go either way here. huh. full disclosure, Iâm doing my best to speedread here since this recap is late, so Iâm not taking much time to think real deeply or try and process every little thing this week
now RD is going âguh!â and failing to get with the times
yeah dude, we established this already. Tomura is doing a lot of things he shouldnât fucking be able to do. because heâs awakening. youâre the one who fucking said it just last chapter. quit being so damn shocked
lol now heâs thinking âif I can just get out of range...â ha, good luck. does he even have a fucking range now
omfg. you guys
being on the villainsâ team for an arc is so much fun. so nice to be able to shamelessly appreciate the senseless destruction
okay, not quite as hot now. but from the right angle, though. damn
anyways. he cray. we get it lol
now heâs shouting âIâll break you to pieces!â all gleefully and, like. destroying the entire town, it looks like. possibly
okay but seriously I think he really is. he really fucking is, you guys
Iâm simultaneously grinning at how badass it is and thinking in the back of my mind about how our actual heroes are so!! fucked!! once this arc is over and done with sob
like, hey Tomura, what was your overall goal again? destroy the entire world? oh, yes, right. and what exactly is stopping you, again? literally nothing but a handful of sixteen-year-old heroes in training? whom Iâm deeply attached to? yes, thatâs surely going to end well
sobbbbbbbb
weâre so. goddamn. fucked
also, when did RD transform back into his little guy form? why do I suddenly almost feel sorry for him. well maybe not sorry so much as I feel pity. though once again, weekly reminder that he invited them himself, and they probably would never have clashed had he not decided to start shit for absolutely no fucking reason
let this be a lesson to all other villains! if youâre still thinking the League is an easy mark now that AFO is ~out of the picture~, let Overhaul and Re-Destro serve as examples of what happens when you underestimate the new boy in charge
and when I think of it that way, it makes me want to warn Tomura not to get too cocky and make the same fucking mistake. AFO and All Might may not have much in common, but one thing they do share is a knack for choosing worthy successors. though I still think that in AFOâs case, âplaceholderâ would be a more accurate word
anyway so where were we. -- oh yes
I wonder how many pages do we need of Tomura cheerfully decimating shit and RD watching in terror. this is a manga-only complaint though, just to be clear. in the anime? this shit is going to be fucking amazing. Tomura cackling maniacally while the world crumbles to pieces around him. metal af
by the way I love how RD has gone pants-only now that heâs back in his Bruce Banner form
I really shouldnât be complaining that this chapter is going by so quickly, given that Iâm trying to race through it, but literally the next two pages are just more of the same shit
town: destroyed. RD status: defeated and pants-only. plots advanced in the last three pages: none that I can actually see
oh shit. wait
what the -- holy --
okay lol. nevermind. here I thought that was Tomuraâs foot on the previous page. and I didnât notice RDâs feet had been chopped off on account of I thought the BLOODY STUMPS OF HIS FEET were his shoes, I guess. despite the manga establishing multiple times that he was only wearing pants. I only pointed it out specifically twice myself. wowwww
just. Iâm running on four hoursâ sleep here but feeling pretty all right considering, so I thought I was doing pretty good, but I GUESS NOT lol. one of these days Iâll learn that if a giant two-page spread appears to be a waste, itâs far more likely that Iâve just completely failed to see some very obvious thing of critical importance
anyways. ohhhhh yesssss
[raises hand] me! I know!! it was him calling you up out of the blue and being all âhey come here I want to start a whole battleâ!!
heeeeeeeh
god Iâm living for this. the brief swell of pity is gone as quickly as it arose lol. finish him off boiiiii
OH FOR FUCKâS --
DID YOU GUYS SOMEHOW FAIL TO GET THE MEMO. DID THE ENTIRE TOWN CRUMBLING APART NOT CLUE YOU IN THAT IT WAS TIME TO HEAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION
jesus. I would be impressed by their loyalty, except that none of them have given a fuck about the 100,000 hapless redshirts whoâve died fighting for them, so it seems pretty damn hypocritical for them to care so much about this one fucking guy. especially when his stupid plan singlehandedly destroyed everything your organization has spent their entire lives working for. in, like, an hour
anyway, Tomura is back to being hot again guys
motherfucker is fully aware of just how much everything is lining up his way right now. finally his childlike self-assuredness actually has some sort of basis in fact. you are exactly as badass as you think you are, sir. must be nice. you enjoy this; you deserve some nice things just this once before everything goes to shit again after this arc
holy shit, even Hanabataâs quirk is failing in the wake of that see-you-in-hell grin
Iâm telling you dude, you should have been driving the other way. not that thereâs any point now. enjoy your final seconds on this earth
LOL
âmeaningless casualtiesâ lmao that is the most pompous variation on âDONâT YOU GET IT, WEâRE ABOUT TO FUCKING DIEâ Iâve ever heard
wow, so wait, is RD trying to beg for their lives now??
thatâs a surprisingly classy move. unfortunately Iâm fairly sure Tomura is going to show you exactly as much mercy as you were prepared to show him just a few minutes earlier. well maybe a little more mercy, since you were going to take your sweet time and heâll probably end things quickly in comparison
anyway so now RD is having an internal dialogue with his dead great-grandpa about how Tomura turned out to be the living embodiment of everything they were fighting for
and actually, heâs not wrong when you think about it. which just goes to show you how deeply flawed their philosophy really was. thereâs a hugely important distinction between âfreedom to be who you areâ and âfreedom to do whatever the fuck you want, including hurting and oppressing othersâ
anyway, so in the end he didnât ask for mercy. âI picked a fight with you and lost. if you mean to kill me, then get it over with.â well I guess that is still classy in its own way though
also, Machia is staring at Tomura and seeing this
which is an awesome visual, and I love that Horikoshi went with that instead of more internal monologuing. nothing else even needs to be said
-- !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOLY SHIT
SDFSLDKJFLJS HOLY SHIT
yooooooooooo. oh shit
I did not see that coming. should have, probably. there was a lot of buildup to it in hindsight. Tomura and the gang started out the arc flat-out broke, and now at the end of things they acquire a company with precisely the resources they need. manpower, cash, and technological innovations. oh shit. oh shit
oh my god the look on Ujikoâs face. this worked out better than he ever could have hoped
pausing it here because I did in fact laugh and I love it. [pats]
this boy has a 5/5 intelligence score in the character databook. heâs a genius. nothing gets past him. his reflexes are too fast
aaaaaand thatâs the end of the chapter. well, then. to reiterate: we are well and truly fucked yâall
#bnha#boku no hero academia#bnha 239#shigaraki tomura#re-destro#bnha spoilers#mha spoilers#makeste reads bnha#well that's just great#now he has an army *and* a hulk#on the bright side#having seen what this army is capable of#I don't think we need to worry too much about that particular new asset

Any chance you have a list of Naruto episodes that mainly focus on Sasuke? I kinda want to rewatch, but only remember the arc with Sasuke vs 5 kage/Dei/Ita/Danzo.
Not right on hand, no, but I can comb through and let you know which parts I tend to watch when I miss him! You only listed eps from Shippuden but Iâll include original series anyway ^^ I organized this by arc; beginning part has my commentary and then just a list after. I bolded the ones I actually do rewatch a ton.
This got really long so hereâs a tl;dr for the parts I recall/can be bothered to find and the rest is under the cut.
ORIGINAL SERIES: 3-5, 6-8, 10-15, 16, 19, 22, 24, 28-30, 33, 39, 66-68, 75-76, 81-85, 101, 107-110, 128-135.
NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: 1, 51-53, 113-114, 115-118, 121-126, 135-beginning of 139, 140-141, 143-144, 152, 202-203, 204, 208-211, 212-216, 220, 331, 333, 334-335, 337-339, 341, 366, 370, 373, 474-479.
ORIGINAL SERIES
Prologue - Land of Waves
Thereâs pretty decent focus on him for the first part basically up until he passes out in the Forest of Death. Episodes I like to rewatch a lot for Sasuke specifically are 3-5, and 16, which is where Sasuke sacrifices himself protecting Naruto (I usually prefer to read the Zabuza arc bc I feel like the battles drag out too long in the anime). A more comprehensive list would probably be like⊠3-7 (one of Sasukeâs first battles with the Demon Brothers is there), I really donât like watching Zabuzaâs battle with Kakashi in the anime but episode 8 has Naruto and Sasuke tag-teaming to help free him, episode 11 and maybe (?) 10 have Sasuke and Naruto eating a lot and training and etc., and then 12-16 cover Sasuke fighting Haku and Naruto eventually showing up to help. Sasuke wakes up and they ask Kakashi some insightful questions in 19.
3-5, 6-8, 10-15, 16, 19Â
Chuunin Exams & Konoha Crush
I donât really rewatch this one a ton but episode 22 is the Rock Lee Beats Sasukeâs Ass ep, 24 is the Sasuke Figures Out Youâre Supposed to Cheat on the Chuunin Exams Test ep which I enjoy personally but also donât really watch a lot, 28-30 for the Sasuke vs Orochimaru stuff in the Forest of Death, 33 for Sasuke going sicko mode on the Sound ninja, 39 for Sasuke using Leeâs jutsu to beat that one guyâs ass in the prelims, 66-68 is Sasuke vs Gaara but I donât rewatch this a lot and prefer reading it in the manga bc the anime drags it out way too much imo, I actually donât rewatch their confrontation in the forest much either but I think (???) itâs eps 75 & 76.
22, 24, 28-30, 33, 39, 66-68, 75-76
Search for Tsunade
I watch 81-85 a lot. Thatâs where Itachi returns to the Village and we get our first real bit of insight into Sasukeâs pastâ this is usually one of the first things Iâll rewatch when Iâm missing Sasuke. Heâs in a coma for the rest of the arc, though. I also watch 101 which is the Kakashiâs mask filler ep and doesnât really focus on Sasuke particularly but itâs fun watching him freak out.
81-85, 101
Sasuke Recovery Mission
107-110 cover Naruto and Sasukeâs rooftop fight and Sasuke making up his mind to leave the Village. A lot of things about this piss me off a lot lol so I actually donât rewatch a lot. 128-135 is Sasuke and Narutoâs battle at the Valley of the End. Thereâs a lot of Uchiha lore embedded here and I like his fight with Naruto so I rewatch this battle a lot.
107-110, 128-135
I donât watch any of the filler after this.
So to summarize, the Sasuke parts of original series that I can recall are: 3-5, 6-8, 10-15, 16, 19, 22, 24, 28-30, 33, 39, 66-68, 75-76, 81-85, 101, 107-110, 128-135.
NARUTO SHIPPUDENÂ
Kazekage Rescue Mission
The first episode teases Sasukeâs later return and is also just generally nostalgic if youâre into that. I also just like the opening for this arc lol.
1
Tenchi Bridge Reconnaissance Mission
Sasukeâs first appearance in part two and his reunion with Naruto are episodes 51-53. I donât rewatch these a lot mainly just because I rewatched them all the time when I was 14 and got bored of it.
51-53
Itachiâs Pursuit Mission/Masterâs Prophecy and Vengeance
Finally good stuff. Episodes 113-114 cover Sasuke killing Orochimaruâ I prefer reading this in the manga to watching it so I donât actually rewatch it a lot. In 115 Sasuke picks up Suigetsu and the episode is a bunch of filler stuff that wasnât in the manga but itâs fun so I rewatch that one a lot. 116-118 are where he picks up Karin and Juugo and forms Taka which is *chef kiss* golden content. 121-122 are Taka looking for Itachi⊠I find this stuff kinda boring so I donât rewatch it so much unless Iâm in a particular mood. 123-126 cover Sasukeâs battle with Deidara, which is awesome, but I prefer reading it in the manga, and Taka taking care of him, which is very cute⊠135-138 and the beginning of 139 are Sasukeâs battle against Itachi, which is also golden content that I rewatch a lot (though admittedly I tend to just type âSasuke vs Itachiâ into YouTube and watch it there than actually watch the episodes for some reason). 140-141 are Sasuke finding out the truth about the Uchiha clanâ I think along with episodes 81-84 in the original series and Sasuke vs Danzou these are the episodes I rewatch the absolute most. 143-144 are Sasuke and Taka joining the Akatsukiâ 144 specifically is the Taka vs Killer Bee fight which I watch a lot.Â
113-114, 115-118, 121-126, 135-beginning of 139, 140-141, 143-144
Peinâs Assault/The Two Saviours
If I recall correctly, episode 152 is where Sasuke speechifies at Tobi and tells him he doesnât care if people see him as childish, he wants to destroy the Leaf, blah blah. This speech is real good but I tend to read it in the mangaâ Iâll bold it anyway though because I read it a ton.
152
Five Kage Summit/The Assembly of the Five Kage
You mentioned this one in the original ask but since weâve come this far anyway Iâll say the parts I like. I love this arc, itâs definitely one of my favourites in the entire series. I think 202 is where Sasuke fights all the Samurai, 203 is where Sasuke meets Gaara again and they fight (lmfao I opened the episode on Crunchyroll to check that Iâm thinking of the right one and look where I stopped last time)
Maybe I like SasuGaa? Anyway, in 204 Sasuke ditches Taka to go after Danzou, then Danzou vs Sasuke and Sasukeâs betrayal of Karin is 208-211, which I mentioned above is among the like, top three things I watch the most when Iâm missing Sasuke, along with Itachi vs Sasuke in both original series and Shippuden. 212-216 are Team Seven finding Sasuke again and Sakura trying to kill him and Naruto and Sasuke talking to each other in their heads and blah blah⊠the only part of this I tend to watch a lot is Sasukeâs interaction with Kakashi because I find this part really annoying. In 220 Sasuke gets eye surgery.
202-203, 204, 208-211, 212-216, 220
Fourth Shinobi World War: Climax/The Great Ninja War - Sasuke and Itachi
Crunchyrollâs not super great about breaking the next parts into seasons and Iâm lazy so Iâm basically just gonna talk about the rest of the war arc. I know itâs a million parts long but I just think of it all as âThe War Arcâ anyway.
Sasukeâs out cold recovering from surgery from most of the beginning of the War arc and doesnât wake up til 331 (thereâs also good Taka content in this epâ Suigetsu and Juugo looking for Sasuke, and Karin breaking out of jail). He catches up with Itachi in 333 - I rewatch this one a lot but Iâm more likely to reread it. 334-335 is Sasuke and Itachi vs Kabuto, and 336 is too but itâs more Kabuto-focused. Focus comes back to Sasuke and Itachi for 337-339â and 339 is where Itachi says the âI will love you foreverâ line. I rewatch that episode a ton. In 341, he meets up again with Suigetsu and Juugo and brings back Orochimaruâ I tend to reread this a lot in the manga but not watch it. 366-370 are when he gets Orochimaru to bring back the Hokage, but most of it is Hashirama talking, so the Sasuke-focused ones are 366 & 370 (I tend to rewatch this entire part a lot though because I love the Hashirama & Madara stuff). In 373 he joins back up with Team Seven and says he wants to be Hokage and blah blah blah. I think thatâs basically the last episode of the anime I actually bother watching sometimes. I thought about combing for the Team Seven stuff where theyâre fighting aliens and the prophecy and whatnot, but everything is really fucking scattered after this part and I tend to just skip around for Sasuke content in the manga because I canât deal with the anime, especially because this is around where the anime famously released a new episode weekly for a year and only eight of those episodes werenât filler. The Naruto vs Sasuke stuff is 474-479 and a whole metric ton of it is filler that makes me sick to my stomach so I never watch it, but I figured Iâd mention it anyway.
331, 333, 334-335, 337-339, 341, 366, 370, 373, ?????????, 474-479
So to summarize, the Sasuke parts of original series that I can recall/bother looking for are: 1, 51-53, 113-114, 115-118, 121-126, 135-beginning of 139, 140-141, 143-144, 152, 202-203, 204, 208-211, 212-216, 220, 331, 333, 334-335, 337-339, 341, 366, 370, 373, 474-479 (which you couldnât pay me to rewatch).
I love recapping so, tl;dr:
ORIGINAL SERIES:Â 3-5, 6-8, 10-15, 16, 19, 22, 24, 28-30, 33, 39, 66-68, 75-76, 81-85, 101, 107-110, 128-135.
SHIPPUDEN:Â 1, 51-53, 113-114, 115-118, 121-126, 135-beginning of 139, 140-141, 143-144, 152, 202-203, 204, 208-211, 212-216, 220, 331, 333, 334-335, 337-339, 341, 366, 370, 373, 474-479.
Happy watching!

July 15th-21st
Under a Read More this week because itâs pretty long! I also added a new âre-readâ category! :)
You can find my other Weekly Recaps here!
Complete
The First Breaking Point by justanotherStonyfan/ @justanotherstonyfan (Shrunkyclunks, future AU | 20K | Mature): There are cameras, because there always have been, but seeing it in person is far more arresting, watching Steve prepare to deliberately talk about it is different. âEleven years ago,â Steve says, and James remembers it - James was eight years old, âin the winter of 2015, I had what the media now commonly refers to as a breakdown.â (đ Part 26 of Honey Honey)
The Most Wonderful Time by justanotherStonyfan/ @justanotherstonyfan (Shrunkyclunks, future AU | 42K | Explicit):Â Everybody tears into their wrapping paper - actually, thatâs not true. Jamesâ whole family aside from Chip is, much like Steve, a family of pickers. Anthea, and Becca, and James all open their gifts by carefully peeling the tape back and removing the paper like sleeves. âHuh,â Steve says, and does the same because he always has with fancy paper. He and Buck used to wrap with newspaper if they could afford gifts at all. On the rare occasions they managed brown paper, Steve treated it like gold leaf. (đ Part 27 of Honey Honey)
Truth in Fiction by dixons_mama (Evanstan RPF | 4K | Explicit): Chris has just received the new Avengers script, and Steve is going to kiss Bucky. Considering Chris has been in love with Sebastian for nearly a decade, he should be excited, but this isn't exactly how he'd (often) imagined it happening.
where women glow and men plunder by rohkeutta/ @rohkeutta (Modern AU, Australia | 3K | Mature): When the snake doesn't show any signs of leaving in a few more minutes, Steve grudgingly goes inside to retrieve his phone and the post-it with Jamesâs number. Not ten minutes later, thereâs the clatter of skateboard wheels against pavement, and then the most beautiful man Steve has ever seen rolls onto the driveway, like some absurdly stunning Australian reincarnation of Napoleon riding on a longboard to conquer Steveâs Bavarian body.Â
đ tiny cities made of ashes by mambo/ @whtaft (canon divergent | 4K | Mature): Their plan has three parts: disable Bucky's kill triggers, find a ship, and leave the planet. So they go to New York to find someone who can help them with step one. (đ Part 3 of child of thanos)
good news for people who love bad news by mambo/ @whtaft (Canon divergent | 1,8K | Explicit | Warnings: Violence, MCD): Before they leave the planet, the Captain has an errand to run. (đ Part 5 of child of thanos)
đ Fraternizing With the Enemy by AidaRonan (University AU | 7K | Explicit): Steve and Bucky are both the presidents of their respective fraternities. Steve thinks Bucky's frat is filled with selfish party animals who care about little else. Bucky thinks Steve is a giant pretentious douchebag who owns too many Lacoste polos. They hate each other. Passionately. Until they don't.
Drive by AidaRonan (PWP | 3,2K | Explicit): Steve and Bucky are hanging out at Carol and Maria's when the thirst hits. Or sometimes you lay eyes on a super-muscular Carol Danvers and it ruins your life.
Fists and Honey by AidaRonan (Canon | 3,6K | Teen): "When did you know?" Sam asks Bucky, sending him back to 1938 and the feeling of Steve's lips on the back of his neck.
My anaconda don't want done unless you got scones hun by AidaRonan (Shrunkyclunks | 3,6K | Mature): The barista's latte art doesn't quite go as planned. Given the day Steve's been having, it kinda figures.
What Colors Would I Be? by AidaRonan (PWP | 2,8K | Explicit): On a too-hot summer day, Steve finally puts the moves on his gorgeous landscaper. The landscaper doesn't mind.
Two Strays in Bucharest by AidaRonan (Post/WS | 1,6K | General): He hears the cry from a mile away. Desperate and high and wailing. Heâs drawn to it like a moth to a lit match, his boots turning to follow before he can even think to question why.
la vie en rose by mcwho (PWP | 1,4K | Explicit): Steve bends Bucky over the marble bathroom sink of Casa de LâAmour right before their starter salad.
đ Covet Thy Neighbor's Towel by dixons_mama (PWP | 2,3K | Explicit): After stumbling upon his nearly naked neighbor, Bucky decides he's never needed to be fucked so badly in his life.
My Boyfriend Calls Me Daddy, Too by cydonic (Modern AU, Parent!Steve | 5K | Explicit): As a father, you get used to being called Daddy. Just not by your boyfriend. (sequel to Home Is Wherever I'm With You)
WIP
đ This Side of the Blue by notlucy/ @notlucy (Mermaid AU | 19/44 | 69K | Explicit): Tucked against a set of crumbling, stone steps was a tank made of metal and glass, filled to the brim with greenish water, distorted sunlight filtering through and casting strange shadows. Playing tricks on the eye. A trick was the only explanation for what Steve saw floating there. This figment of his childhood. This myth. This legend. Within the tank, the siren bared its teeth.
đ come as you are by silentwalrus/ @silentwalrus1 (Post-WS AU | 25K | 3/? | Explicit): Steve comes back to the States. He pursues truth, justice and the American way. Bucky comes back too. He pursues inebriation and intercourse. (Part 3 of Bucky Barnes Gets His Groove Back & Other International Incidents)
Solitary by exclamation (Canon divergent | 33/? | 82K | Mature): The Winter Soldier has been a prisoner of SHIELD for about a year and a half, placed in solitary confinement under strict security when it was clear he wasnât going to respond to the best interrogators and deprogrammers SHIELD had available. When Fury asks a newly awakened Steve Rogers to assist, Steve is hesitant. He doesnât understand why Fury thinks he would have a better chance of getting through to this guy than all the people who have tried and failed.
đ four dreams in a row where you were burned by voxofthevoid/ @voxofthevoid (canon divergent, post-Endgame, 1945 alternate timeline | 4/? | 21K | Explicit): When Steve uses the last of his Pym Particles to travel to 1944 and save his best friend, he doesnât have a plan beyond leaving behind the battlefield and living his life alongside the people he loves. But the life that finds him is not the one he expects.
đ Cause you canât, you won't, and you don't stop by redhook (Modern AU, roommates, FWB | 1,9K | 1/? | Explicit): It isn't like they're actually fucking or anything. It's fine.
Cakes & Balances by mambo/ @whtaft (POTUS Steve | 8K | 4/? | Teen): Itâs kind of hard to date the cute baker from down the street when youâre the President of the United States of America. But Steve Rogers will make it work.
đ Like Real People Do by 2bestfriends (Shrunkyclunks, canon divergent post-Avengers | 6K | 1/10 | Explicit): Seven years into an isolated retirement after the Battle of New York, Steve has carved out a place for himself in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. He has a best friend (his dog, Lady), a frenemy (a local black bear named Rufus), and a cabin in the middle of the woods, an hour's drive from the nearest town. As November comes to a close, he heads into town to pick up supplies and ends up with a stowaway.
Re-read
Too Long We Have Tarried by kototyph (Post-WS | 19K | Explicit): Bucky picks up the ring and holds it between them. âSteven Grant Rogers,â he says solemnly. âWill you marry me?â
đ Say it louder for the people in the back by redhook (Modern AU, sex worker Steve | 14K | Explicit): Steve operates a glory hole. One of his regulars starts to get under his skin.

Week 20 in Rosedale is over, so letâs do the weekly recap!Â
Births:Â 20 Deaths: 10 Total households: 36
SOMERSET:
Due to the ROS roll, Nicholas had an affair with townie Nathalie Raven (who I initially thought he was going to marry...). However, during the affair he rolled a want to marry his boyfriend Costel.
Costel took some time off work to look after their daughter Sadie.
Sadie turned into a child! She then got into private school - as she should when her fatherâs the mayor.
Costelâs one-time fling Peaches Kat came over for a visit, but they didnât get up to anything other than talking.
Nicholas got into gardening.
Nicholas turned into an elder!
Nicholas proposed to Costel and the two threw a wedding ceremony that very night.
EVANS:
Vesuvia spent a lot of time playing with their dog Jynx (that they got the week before).
Jynx tried to challenge Citrine the cat for her bed. It didnât work.
Bellamy helped out his mother at the grocery store, and is going to be the one to inherit it once she dies.
Alan turned into an elder!
Bellamy started learning how to garden.
Bellamy turned into an adult!
Townie Tyra Barrett offered Bellamy a job in level 5 of the Athletic career! As this family is always poor, there was no way heâd pass this up!
Vesuvia got amazing grades at school!
Vesuvia turned into a teenager! She likes women in formal dresses who wear a lot of makeup. She doesnât like it if theyâre too fit however.
Bellamy brought cute townie Nellie Drava home from work, and they hit it off right away! She then moved in pretty much instantly.
Vesuvia rolled a want to go on a date, so she invited over townie Beth Leelaporn. They got along amazingly and look so cute together!
Citrine claimed the kitchen counter as her new sleeping spot.
RAY:
Leia got amazing grades at school and yelled about them to her mother who was on the phone talking about missiles...
Sara turned into an elder!
Vega turned into a child!
The family threw a joint birthday party for Leia and Joseph! All the surviving Villiers and Somerset Gen 3 children showed up.Â
Leia then turned into an adult and Joseph into an elder!
Aging up with Leia was her boyfriend Alec Beer. Good thing too as Leia immediately rolled a want to propose to him! He said yes, and because the party was still raging they got married then and there.
Leia rolled a want to turn into a werewolf, so her father kindly turned her into one in the bathroom. She then turned her husband into one too.
The week ended with the newly weds trying for a baby!
BIANCHI:
Week 20 saw the Couderc household be renamed to Bianchi as the last Couderc in the family, Kelly, died the week before.
Toby Mazza came over for a booty call with the newly married Davina, and then thought about marriage... Hopefully to his own girlfriend and mother of his children and not to Davina.
Socks gave birth to a litter of kittens next to the doughnut bed! Her babies are called Luna, Lola and Leaf!
Hera walked in on her father and step-mother woohooing on the sofa...
Hera became best friends with Aeryn Brewster!
Jason and Davina woohooed so much that they made a nooboo! They had a son named Trevor!
The kittens turned into adult cats!
Hera threw herself a birthday party and turned into an adult! She then took Leaf and moved out.
ARBON:
ROS dictated that Vivienne had to get someone pregnant, and as her current girlfriend is a robot and sheâs a vampire, she needed to find a second one.
Vivienne first tried to romance local hobby leader Tosha Chin, but while they had a fun time, they didnât really âclickâ as during their date a random teen townie named Timothy McKeown walked by the lot and died?
Vivienne then called the matchmaker and she set up a date with townie Suzi Riley. Vivienne and Suzi âclickedâ a lot better and after a few dates, they fell in love and Suzi moved in.
Suzi quickly fell pregnant, and spent the next few days having morning sickness.
SWAFFORD:
Grimmy came for Ronica for the sixth time and this time, he won. Ronica still got the Hula Zombie treatment though.
Teenagers Teagan and Lane were then the only ones left in the household and managed to keep themselves afloat with the money they inherited from their mother.
As if their week couldnât get any worse, local burglar Sabastian paid the twins a visit in the middle of the night. Thankfully policeman Cale managed to arrest him.
Lane entered a relationship with Andromeda Brewster!
The twins then turned into adults, and Teagan moved out.
COUDERC II:
Zenith had his date and first kiss with townie Mary Bendett!
Adela turned into an adult!
Adela went on a date with townie Anthony Blythe!
As this seems to be a week for dating as Kayla found herself a boyfriend in townie Steven Bruty!
The matchmaker left them a lamp and Adela immediately wished for money!
Grimmy and the Hula Zombies came twice in one night for Ethan and Nova!
BREWSTER:
Twins Andromeda and Saros turned into adults! Saros then went into aspiration failure at not going to university.
However his luck soon changed as he found himself a girlfriend named Jodie Hanlon!
Grimmy and the Hula Zombies came for Gwyneth, and later for Leland.
Andromeda continued seeing Lane Swafford and then rolled the very rare Romance sim want of getting engaged!
Saros went on another date with Jodie, and then proposed! Not wasting any more time, they got married then and there in the living room. And naturally, chimes were heard on the very first woohoo.
The quadruplets turned into adults! Iriel then went into aspiration failure because she didnât go to university.
Iriel, as a Family sim, wanted to get married so she found herself a boyfriend in hobby leader Jett Fearon. As theyâre both Family sims, she proposed almost immediately and he said yes, and then they got married in the bedroom.
On Monday morning, there was a mass exodus from the Brewster household as Jett and Iriel, Andromeda, Saros and Jodie, and Garrus all moved out, leaving Aeyrn and Kira living together in the family home.
MAZZA:
ROS dictated that Emmett was to quit his job, so thatâs the first thing that happened on Monday morning.
He then rolled a want to go on a date, so he invited over his girlfriend Jessica Ingham. He then got sprayed by a skunk...
A few days later, Emmett invited Jessica to move in and she brought a whopping §18,000 with her!
Naturally they woohooed and chimes occured!
Grimmy and the Hula Zombies came for Bailey! Even though she didnât know her very well, Jessica was still really upset by it.
Jessica gave birth to a baby girl named Auri!
Emmett went on an outing to @simper-fiâs The Hive, leaving Jessica to deal with their newborn...
HARRISON:
The family moved out of the apartment and into a house of their own on the edge of town.
Danica invited over the headmaster and Roman got into private school!
Roman then turned into a teenager! He likes women with red hair and glasses! He doesnât like brown hair though...
Considering how long itâs been since Roman was born, I thought he was going to be their only child. However, Danica fell pregnant out of the blue. She gave birth to a daughter named Alecia later in the week!
Lyndsay woohooed with local servo Claire Arbon.
Roman became instant best friends with Zenith Couderc as they have a lot in common (theyâre both straight male Romance sims).
Grimmy and the Hula Zombies came for Lyndsay!
Roman got rejected for a date with townie Sue Ryan...
Seconds before she was due to give birth, Danica set herself on fire while cooking! Thankfully firefighter Prissy Condon saved the day!
VILLIERS II:
Local slob Tabitha Kosmokos came over and stared at the pelican painting in the living room for like three hours...
Kaylynâs almost-baby momma Anya Colville was invited over for a date! They then did a fully-naked woohoo in the very occupied living room in front of poor Bellamy Evans and Tabitha Kosmokos.
Anya then moved in with §15,000!Â
Anya rolled a want to marry Kaylyn, so she proposed in the living room. While Kaylyn did accept, she seemed to have a few instant regretsâŠ
Kaylyn gave birth to a very pale son named Zachery!
Grace and Rose Green went on a date! Theyâre very cute together and Iâm living for both ladies getting together after both being cheated on by their ex-wives.
Anya and Kaylyn had their wedding party and invited over all their family and friends! Kaylynâs ex-step-mother Danica Harrison set her sights on townie Lavender Steevens while at the wedding...
Zachery turned into a toddler!
LAUPER:
Maximilian got some amazing grades. He then (thanks to the ROS roll) started slacking off his school work.
Frankie invited over the headmaster and got Max into private school. However the headmaster also walked in on Frankie in the shower...
Skittles and Sausage had kittens! Their names are Sherbet, Sorbet and Sage.
Grimmy came for Valentina!
Frankie and Max went on an outing downtown.
Max turned into an adult!Â
He then was turned into a good warlock by the grand high warlock himself, Roberto Majekodunmi.
DIRGE:
Grimmy came for Kit (again), but this time Kit lost! He then got the Hula Zombie treatment and was whisked away to the afterlife. Absinthe then went into aspiration failure.
Local vampire Gabriel Lauper stole the newspaper.
Alexis went into labour and gave birth to a daughter named Natasha!
As soon as sheâd given birth, Joel and Alexis immediately ran to the bedroom and tried for another baby... She gave birth later in the week to a son named Hugh.
Grimmy and the Hula Zombies came back for Absinthe!
Natasha turned into a toddler and got started on her toddler skills!
Joel got himself abducted by aliens! He came back with a little present...
And, once again, Alexis got herself pregnant! Thereâs going to be a couple of new children in the Dirge household come week 21...
GREEN:
Roseâs ex-girlfriend Lirit came and kicked over the rubbish bin.
After semi-rekindling their flame during Graceâs round, Rose invited her over for a date! Rose then rolled a want to get married to Grace, so she popped the question in the living room!
Rose traveled to her food stand (courtesy of @glabeglarn) to sell food to townies that didnât need it.
Angelica turned into a teenager! She likes fit men with a penchant for wearing a lot of makeup. She doesn't like brown hair though...
Rose and Grace got married on Sunday night! They had a small ceremony with a handful of friends and family in attendance.
SANNA:
Lirit Wheatly and Marietta Sanna move in together after Lirit was kicked out of her ex-girlfriend Rose Greenâs house.
Lirit popped on the footpath just before work! She later gave birth to her third daughter (from the third woman) named River!
Marietta answered the phone while cooking lunch and set the kitchen on fire!
HASSOURAS:
Newly married Bernie and Regina moved out of their apartment and into their own small house.
Regina then popped just after work, and later gave birth to a son named Thorne!
Bernie cheated on Regina with townie Nathalie Raven!Â
Regina ended up pregnant again! She gave birth to her third son, Marc!
Thorne turned into a toddler!
OLSEN:
Lucas, Lucio, Leonie and Astra started off the week by moving into their new home.
Leonie and Lucio spent the week working on their step-mother/son relationship! Iâm fairly certain Lucio likes her more than his actual mother...
The maid stole the kitchen sink.
Astra turned into a toddler!
Lucio turned into a teenager! He likes lazy women with brown hair and hats.
Leonie gave birth to their second daughter, named Kitty!
Lucio was sprayed by a skunk.
Lucas rubbed his genie lamp and wished for the power to cheat death!
ROS decided that someone in the household was to turn into an evil witch, so that person turned out to be Leonie!
Astra turned into a child!

Vulcan turned into a child!
NOYES:
Anthea took out a whopping §40,000 loan to buy Rosedale Fitness and Dance, thus opening up the Dance career!
James turned into a child!
Anthea spent a lot of time at her gym/dance studio to get as much money off of townies as possible.
She was offered a blind date by a townie, and out popped @mikexx2âs Benito Rossi! After a few dates, Anthea popped the question and Benito moved in!
Anthea just scraped into the garden club with her tiny garden.

They got started on baby #2!

Grandma Grace came over to see her grandchildren!
Demeter turned into a toddler!
Gideon turned into a teenager! He likes men who have red hair and wear cologne.

Gabrielâs father Frankie came over for a visit.
Gabriel started dating townie Jesse Collier.
Gabby was set up on a blind date with townie Andre Navarro. It didnât go very well as they didnât really like each other...
However, Gabby then went on a date with Gabrielâs younger brother Max! One date and a woohoo later and she fell pregnant!
ST MARTIN:
Brigitte roamed the beach and ate sand...

Rigel got his romance on with some sims, including Davina Cofield, and about a million different townies. Heâs a bisexual disaster honestly.
Rigel seemed to finally choose Mr Big himself Malcolm Bratford! Malcolm then moved in with §70,950, before the couple moved out together.
CHAMBERS:
Asher Evans and Vera Chambers moved into an apartment of their own.
On their first woohoo, I heard chimes... Vera later gave birth to a daughter named Cerise!

Weekly Thoughts:
The Carolina Hurricanes made some interesting moves this summer, though it doesnât really seem to have worked out so well for them. The Hurricanes had dealings with both the Buffalo Sabres and the Calgary Flames, who appear to have gotten the better end of these deals.
The Buffalo Sabres have been continuously improving their game this season, and currently hold the number one Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.
Sabres forward Jeff Skinner, acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes this summer, has 28 goals and 41 points in 41 games this season. Last season, Skinner finished with only 49 total points in 82 games.
The Calgary Flames are number one in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference and are, at this point, guaranteed to advance to Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Forward Elias Lindholm, acquired from the Hurricanes this summer in a package deal along with Noah Hanifin, currently has 20 goals and 48 points in 42 games this season with the Flames. Lindholm finished last season with 44 points in 81 games.
Defenceman Noah Hanifin, who was drafted 5th overall by the Hurricanes in 2015, currently has 21 points in 42 games. He tallied 32 points in 79 games last season.
The Carolina Hurricanes are 6th in the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference, and are currently out of playoff contention.
Forward Michael Ferlund, acquired in a package deal from the Calgary Flames, has 12 goals and 19 points in 33 games. He tallied 41 points in 77 games last season.
Acquired in that same deal was defencemen Dougie Hamilton, who has tallied only 5 goals and 13 points in 40 games. Last season, Hamilton had 44 points in 82 games.
In exchange for Skinner, the Hurricanes acquired several future draft picks and prospect Cliff Pu, a forward, from the Sabres. Pu currently plays for the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League. He has a total of 3 points in 30 games this season.
In contrast to the Hurricanes, their AHL affiliate the Charlotte Checkers are having a fantastic season. The Checkers currently lead the Atlantic Division and the entire Eastern Conference with 53 points; thatâs 25 wins at two points apiece, and 3 overtime, or OT, losses, which are worth one point each. Thatâs 5 more points than the second overall team in the conference, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (48 points), and 6 points more than the number one team in the Western Conference, the Iowa Wild (47 points.) Â
In addition to being the top team in the league, two Checkers forwards, Nicolas Roy and Martin Necas, have been named CCM/AHL Player of the Week. Forward Janne Kuokkanen and defenceman Trevor Carrick have also been named to the AHL All-Star Classic; Mike Vellucci (Checkers) will coach the Atlantic Division.
