Thinking about my Gibson/Mandarin swap AU again because I really like the idea of a villian Gibson. I think he would really like to be one of those villians that is so Intellecutal and Above Everything and Emotionless™ but he really... isn't able to detach himself that much lmao. Inside, he's still every bit as emotional as he's always been. It's just now hidden beneath a veneer of coldness.

Like I'm just imagining Gibson giving out a typical villian speech, and Sparx interrupts him halfway through with a curt "We get it, Hal" and it pisses him off so much that they just get into a screaming match like the good old days before Gibson remembers that he's "above such things" and goes back to his villian schtick (he still calls him Sparky because he's way too petty not to fire back).
