If you are a Luca Marinelli fan and you are on twitter you might have noticed an hashtag going around, #BuonCompleannoLuco (happy birthday luco) even if his birthday is on october so i just wanted to explain what was going on.

So, today (8/08) was the birthday of the italian president Conte. During the lockdown there were a lot of memes and fancam about him going around, because he said like one (1) good thing against italian far right, and we decided to fangirl (as a joke) about this and people started calling themselves le bimbe di conte (Conte's baby girls). Well, apparently it wasn't clear for everyone that this was a joke, and some people are actually his fans now, they write fanfiction about him, fancams edit and shits like that, as he was a member of a boyband, saying how charming and handsome he is and other stuff i Don't want to think or repeat 💀

Anyway, today italian twitter was FULL of messages and birthday wishes towards him, and I've seen some cringe fucks, people calling him italy's saviour, the hero of the country, the light during darkness, the one who brought spring back (i wish i was making this shit up). Me, and some of my mutuals got pretty mad about this because he is not a saint. He is the one who left immigrants starving on boats, he signed new deals with Libia and many other horrible stuff; there is absolutely nothing to stan about this man, and it makes me sick to my stomach seeing that people screaming about BLM and against italian far right online are the same one declaring love to the man that allowed some of that shit. So i decided to make fun of them by copying one of their post, but instead of him and his birthday hashtag i put Luca Marinelli. And people were confused at first, because it's not his birthday, but later they started doing the same and in a few hour the hashtag was trending and becoming more popular than the president's one.

AND HIS FAN STARTED GETTING MAD AT US BECAUSE WE RUINED HIS BIRTHDAY AND THEY STARTED INSULTING ME AND MY FRIENDS I WISH THIS WAS ALL A JOKE BUT IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED I AM DYING HOW I DID THIS HOW DID THIS HASHTAG BECAME MORE POPULAR THAN THE OTHER I HAVE NO IDEA but anyway fuck Conte Stan Luca Marinelli
