for the unpopular opinion ask game: I don’t understand why the fandom complains about sukka not having kids. not every relationship ends up with people having kids, some people don’t have the time or energy to deal with them or just don’t want them for the sake of not wanting them and that’s actually nice to see in media tbh.

i mean i don't think i see much complaining about it? but yeah i don't mind that they don't have kids. i get that people wish that there had been more sukka in lok as it's the only ship that basically every fan agrees is good (even though i'd argue that most people don't fully understand why it works so well. but that's okay not everyone has spent far too much time thinking about this show like i have), but that doesn't necessarily mean having kids. the only characters who i think really need to have kids are zuko (ending the cycle of abuse etc) and aang and katara (l'dor va'dor etc, though katara doesn't really need to have kids; she could achieve this though the waterbending school she opens. i do think she'd like having kids but also she's got a lot on her plate as it is). i think sokka and suki could be fun aunts/uncles :)

Tonight at the synagogue's seder, we sang Miriam's Song, which of course requires dancing. TH LOVED the longer song, and was grinning from ear to ear.

Also, TH tried to sing Dayenu, but the chorus sounded like "dai dai dai"

Tiny Human was fussing today, until I asked "do you know what day it is?"

"Yah?"

"It's shabbat!"

So I lit the candles, and as usual I sang Shabbat Shalom while bouncing TH. When the song was over, TH tried to get me to continue. "Shaaaa shohmm! Shaaa shohmm!"
