If having to choose between Alpine boys, Estie is the winner no questions asked. He definitely has his shady side, but otherwise seems like a pretty goofy and nice guy.
Pierre on the other hand gives me Leo Di Caprio vibes. And I "seriously" don't like LDC. He just seems sleazy and arrogant and with head much above his height.
(Side note - funny how McLaren boys "split up" between the Alpine boys for that padel in Qatar - OP/EO & LN/PG)
I think if I had to choose between the Alpine boys I’d stay home lol they both just give me off vibes.
I think I’d rather spend an hour with Pierre but I’d rather spend a day with Esteban.
I personally don’t mind Leonardo DiCaprio. He’s obviously very full of himself but also why wouldn’t he be? He’s an actor, and he’s been famous since like age 10, probably told he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread, and he is very talented. Obviously the headphones myth doesn’t make him look great lol. Idk to me he just seems like a typical rich guy in his 40s lol.
But yeah I think Pierre probably has more banter than Esteban and I feel like over an hour long coffee I’d laugh more with Pierre. But any longer than that I’d choose Esteban because I do get the sense that at his core he is the nicer of the two.

I want to cover one more aspect of our government. Our nation promotes democracy around the world, spending billions upon billions of dollars in doing so. We advocate human rights. We preach fair treatment. We honor our national sovereignty and right to freedom, almost to the point of worship. And yet, privately, under the table or behind the scenes, not inconsistent with our Shadow Government by the Corporatocracy and Power Elite, we control the other nations of the world (the third world for example), taking from them the same rights we so strongly proclaim–those where we know better, however, excluded (you know, Russia, China, North Korea, ….).
I was studying another subject this afternoon; and, in the course of events, I came upon an article about NSSM200, National Security Study Memorandum 200. At first, I could hardly believe what I was reading. It was a report on the Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests, completed December 10, 1974 by the United States National Security Council under the direction of Henry Kissinger. It was adopted almost a year later in November, 1975 by President Gerald Ford. Originally classified, i.e. kept secret from the people, it was later declassified and obtained by researchers in the early 1990’s.
The basic thesis of the memorandum was that population growth in the least developed countries of the world (known as LDCs) is a concern to U.S. national security, because it would tend to risk civil unrest and political instability in countries that had a high potential for economic development. This policy gives “paramount importance” to population control measures and the promotion growth which the US deems inimical to the socio-political and economic growth of these countries and to the national interests of the United States, since the “U.S. economy will require large and increasing amounts of minerals from abroad”, and these countries can produce destabilizing opposition forces against the United States. It recommends that US leadership “influence national leaders”, and that “improved world-wide support for population-related efforts should be sought through increased emphasis on mass media and other population education and motivation programs by the U.N., USIA, and USAID.” (I interpret this as mind control. We do it here at home all the time. Just watch the TV news.)
How about that? What happened to our belief in national sovereignty? Hmm…. Apparently, it is ethically permissible for Russia, China, or whatever nation that so desires to do so for the sake of their national security, however defined, to take control over the people of the United States of America? What, if they do (and we don’t like it) and our people strike back with whatever means within our abilities? Will that make us terrorists? They surely need our coal, corn, wheat…… Oh! One more question, if I might. Does this policy established by Henry Kissinger in 1974 conform to the principles set forth by our forefathers when they established our nation, i.e. “life, liberty, and justice for all”, or the principle that “all men are created equal” or …..? Maybe that’s the reason they kept it secret for so long–good thing there was no Edwin Snowden then. This makes me wonder as to what our Shadow Government has in store for us next.

Exploring Childcare Jobs in Sydney
Sydney offers a wealth of opportunities for those interested in pursuing a career in childcare. With the growing recognition of the essential role childcare professionals play in the community, demand for qualified educators is high. Here’s an overview of why a career in childcare is rewarding, the types of positions available, necessary qualifications, and current job prospects.
Why Choose a Career in Childcare?
Making a Positive Impact: Working in childcare allows you to make a significant difference in children’s lives. Educators nurture and support children’s growth and development in a safe and stimulating environment, contributing positively to society (The Sector) (The Sector).
Dynamic Work Environment: No two days are the same in childcare. The constant evolution and growth of children bring new challenges and opportunities daily, making the job exciting and varied (The Sector).
Collaborative Teamwork: Childcare professionals work in collaborative environments, offering opportunities to build strong relationships and learn from a diverse pool of experiences. This teamwork is a stark contrast to the isolation of many desk jobs (The Sector).
Professional Growth: Significant improvements in pay, working conditions, and professional development have been seen in recent years. These enhancements provide a solid foundation for both personal and professional growth (The Sector).
Types of Childcare Jobs in Sydney
Long Day Care (LDC): LDC centers are the largest employers in the childcare sector, catering to children from as young as three months up to preschool age. These centers offer both education and care, with opportunities for traineeships and work experience (The Sector) (The Sector).
Family Day Care: This involves caring for children in the homes of registered educators. It offers a home-like environment and flexible, personalized care, making it a popular choice for both parents and educators (The Sector).
Outside School Hours Care (OSHC): OSHC services provide care before and after school, as well as during school vacations. These programs support the educational and recreational needs of school-aged children (The Sector).
Kindergarten/Preschool: These settings prepare children for formal schooling, focusing on school readiness with a structured curriculum led by early childhood teachers (The Sector).

The Work of Humanitarian Aid Organizations
Humanitarian aid involves conducting an initial rapid needs assessment that enables assistance provision to people affected by different disasters such as climate change, political instability and war, and drought and famine. Humanitarian aid organizations deliver food and other items to beneficiaries selected through elaborate criteria that identify those who are least able to fend for themselves.
When these organizations respond to humanitarian situations, they pay attention to the affected communities’ specific needs and coordinate their work, ensuring they are as helpful and efficient as possible. Importantly, these entities strive to support local markets and avoid providing unnecessary goods while responding to various humanitarian situations.
Humanitarian aid offers solutions to short-term humanitarian needs. In contrast, development aid addresses underlying and systemic issues in an attempt to offer long-term solutions.
There are different types of humanitarian aid. To begin, the availability of food is among the necessities affected by disasters. Notably, people in disaster-prone areas are likely to suffer from undernourishment. The World Food Programme (WFP) leads global food provision efforts. Every year, it distributes more than 15 billion food rations.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one in three people can’t access safe water, with women being the most affected during crises. Additionally, women spend a large part of their time fetching water for their families, which keeps them and their families in an endless poverty loop. Humanitarian organizations fund water systems and provide water filtration systems.
Access to safe water and sanitation are related. The lack of safe water exacerbates sanitation and hygiene issues, especially during crises. Additionally, epidemics and pandemics, population movement, and rapid unplanned urbanization influence safe water provision. WHO reports that 2 billion people globally have no access to proper sanitation, with a third of these living in rural areas in least developed countries (LDCs). Humanitarian aid helps provide efficient sanitation systems and hygiene education.
During crises, children become vulnerable, and their human rights often are not respected. As a result they may suffer more than adults, including from malnutrition. Organizations such as the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) focus on children’s needs and provides them with food, shelter, and medical care, among other basic needs.
When people get displaced during crises such as conflict and war, they lack shelter. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), also called the UN Refugee Agency, distributes shelter items, including plastic sheeting and tents to displaced groups.
When setting up camps for refugees, UNHCR considers several things. First, it considers how such communities can avoid fires that can destroy the environment. Second, they consider how people in these camps can avoid spreading disease. Third, they prioritize women and girls care and safety in their efforts. In some cases, they may provide hotel rooms as shelter.
Food insecurity results from agricultural problems. Drought, famine, conflict, and food crop diseases affect food security. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) provides humanitarian aid to farmers in affected areas in the form of seed kits, barbed wire, home garden kits, livestock, and water pumps.
Humanitarian organizations also provide medical care. Their activities in this area include sending medical personnel, medical items, and materials to crisis and disaster areas. They also raise funds. While humanitarian aid’s success during severe crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic remains unseen, humanitarian organizations have contributed to other initiatives for crises not as severe as COVID-19. For instance, the Guinea worm eradication campaign was a medical aid initiative that reduced the disease from 3.5 million cases in 1986 to 27 cases in 2020.
Similar to other individuals who are victims of crises and disasters, refugees are a high priority for humanitarian aid organizations. The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has for the past 80 years assisted refugees with their economic well-being, education, and health care. The IRC also focuses on women and girls owing to their vulnerability compared to other groups.
Humanitarian organizations organize blood donation drives and visits to elderly people. They also facilitate food and other item donations from individuals. Moreover, they support other organizations that assist people during times of need.

Remittances are a critical lifeline, for many vulnerable people around the world.
Excellencies,
Ladies and gentlemen,
It is my pleasure, to join this observance of the International Day of Family Remittances. I thank the organisers, IFAD and the Permanent Missions of the Philippines and Guatemala to the United Nations, for convening this important event.
Remittances are a critical lifeline, for many vulnerable people around the world. Over 200 million migrant workers today, send money home, to their over 800 million family members.
These men and women, are leaving home in search of prosperity, and are doing a noble service to their families, and communities, by continuing to contribute, despite the distance between them.
This makes a significant difference in their families' lives, and the economy of their home countries. In some cases, remittances comprise up to 30% of GDP. This money is directly invested into food, shelter, education, and health care. We must be honest, and acknowledge that, remittances are essential, as we work towards meeting the targets of the 2030 Agenda.
Indeed, if we are to better understand, this source of external financing, for low- and middle-income countries, there is a need for a better data collection , on remittances. This includes, data on the impact of external shocks, to the flow of remittances.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on remittance flows ,was striking with variations across regions. Globally, low- and middle-income countries, received $540 billion in 2020 – , that's a decrease of 1.6% in the previous year.
Initially, we had feared that the pandemic, and related mitigation measures, would have a greater impact on remittances. However, key measures, reduced the impact on international migrant workers. Fiscal stimulus packages, in host countries, and the digitalization of money flows, provided an important buffer.
Migrant workers are overrepresented, in sectors which were designated essential work, including agriculture, construction, and cleaning services.
Many migrant workers in the healthcare sector, risked their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic, to keep their host communities safe. Not only did they keep their host economy running, their income provided a key safety net , for their families, who were also dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic back home. They are true heroes.
I also commend the Call to Action "Remittances in Crisis: How to Keep them Flowing". This initiative has raised the level of awareness, regarding the importance of remittances, for low- and middle-income countries. The call for a reduction of transfer costs, and greater financial inclusion through remittances, with contribution to the advancement of the Global Compact for Migration and the 2030 Agenda. This is a strong example, of collective action from policymakers, regulators and remittance service providers to benefit migrants, their families and local communities.
Ladies and gentlemen,
It is imperative that, we support countries in special situations. This has been a key priority of mine throughout the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly. I have established a Board of Advisors on LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS with whom I interact regularly.
I hope that you will join tomorrow's High-Level Meeting on Middle Income Countries – this will take place in the General Assembly Hall, and will be streamed live on UN Web TV. This important meeting has been organized in a sequential manner with the Joint Thematic Event on LDCs in order to galvanize this momentum and harness the support of all Member States and partners to advance our shared goals.
Dear Colleagues,
If we have learned one thing from the past year, it is that when we come together, we can overcome the most difficult, complex challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic, has been the greatest test for the international community, in the seventy-five year history of the United Nations.
As we seek to build a more sustainable and resilient path forward, now is the time to recommit to multilateralism, global citizenship, and solidarity.
Once again, I thank you for organizing this important event, and I wish you all of the best in your endeavours.
Thank you.
UNGA President.
International Day of Family Remittances 2021.

Pittacus and Setràkus sending notes to each other their whole lives and never stopping as they grew up and started to see each other less and less.
They would send notes to each other asking how the other is doing, making plans for somewhere to meet up later, doodling something funny on occasion just to make the other laugh.
These notes gather in piles sometimes, clustered together in small corners of their rooms where they would go to when the other isn't available. A keepsake and testament to how bound they are to their friendship.
They send each other notes when they're welcomed as Elders and oversee different factions of Lorien and are off training or talking to LDC officials, honing Legacies with their Cêpans or spending time with their families on the off time they have.
Setràkus discovering his Dream Communication Legacy one night and surprises Pittacus with it by welcoming him to a dreamscape of the same beach they used to sit on during Quartermoon, and they would talk every night when they had to stay separated during work.
Some nights they spend their dreams somewhere different: diving in the Terrax Ocean, exploring the uncharted Outer Territories, relaxing in a seaside home in Deloon or partying in the Chimaera nightclub. Most nights, however, is spent gazing at the thousands of stars that loom over time as they sit on the moonlit beach, marveling over how vast the universe truly is, and how much they could explore if they wanted.
Pittacus once suggested going to Earth together when the time is right for them, studying how their predecessors left their marks on the Earth and wondering what the prophecy will entail there. Setràkus once worried when that will happen. Pittacus told him they will be ready, and hopefully meet on the planet together.
Pittacus wanting to contribute to Setràkus' gifts and upon his Ximic forming, learned Telepathy and surprising Setràkus back so now they can communicate day and night.
Pittacus learning new skills with each of the seventy four Legaices he gained, utilizing each to make a new gift for Setràkus every time they meet: a Loric bouquet, a Lumen made carving, an ice pendant layered with Petras stone. Setràkus marvels at this every time, and keeps each gift close to his heart.
Setràkus slowly yearning for his desires to help Garde with no Legacies and mentioning this in his letters, dreams, and telepathic lines slowly, trusting Pittacus with his wants for the Loric. Pittacus comforting him best he can because the spirit of Lorien dictates purposes, and as far as he believes the Cêpan are Cêpan for a reason, and serve just as well as a Garde can. Setràkus only nods, but cannot agree.
Setràkus creating rooms in their shared dreamscapes that detail his plans slowly, his need for Loralite, the dreamscape changing to reveal locations where Loralite has been founded and guarded by Loric, believing this can do something to his plans. Pittacus sees where he's going, but doesn't see far enough to know how deep Setràkus will go. Pittacus begins to question telepathically linking with Setràkus during the day, not sure if he wants to hear more. Setràkus pays no mind to the change.
Setràkus stops dreaming with Pittacus. He's too indulged in his plans, going day and night fulfilling his vision so that everyone will have Legacies, entity be damned. Pittacus wakes up from the first night in forever he had without dreaming with Setràkus. He is scared now.
Pittacus throws himself into training his Legacies, as requested by the other Elders. They are all afraid of what Setràkus Ra now, and need to do something about him. Kept hidden from the public of Lorien at best, a full-scale battle between the Elders at worst. Of the seventy four Legacies Pittacus has learned in his lifetime, there wasn't a single power in Lorien that could remedy his sorrowed heart.
Two weeks later, Setràkus is to be executed, demanded by the Elders. Pittacus is given the job. He fails, and instead exiles his longtime friend, before leaving. Pittacus is left with a broken heart, Setràkus is left with a darkened mind. The last thing the two could share was a gift in the shape of a noose and a scar. Reminders of their last conversation.
Pittrakus, but it's a tragic love story
#lorien legacies#elder#setràkus ra#pittrakus#pittacus lore#don't mind me being poetic I'm in my feels#my art#i am number four#you can take this platonically or romantically it works for either one#wishing there was more lore than what we got in canon
