since ghosts have bin confirmed to live on the island how do the ghosts and toyfolk interact?
Ghosts aren't alive, so they don't live there at all. Besides, there aren't any ghosts on the island anyway - at least, they're not supposed to be.
Toyfolk are perfect vessels for spirits such as ghosts and demons to possess. Although a bit trickier than possessing an object, they are a tad easier than possessing a living breathing organism.
Ever since the Annabel incident, Toyland has had strict laws concerning occult practices such as spirit boards. The Rule of Play makes those things crazy dangerous.
Fortunately, all known spirit boards were confiscated and disposed of by the toy soldiers, so we don't need to worry.

Welcome Home Website Update Reaction Notes (3/9/2024) Part 2 (SPOILERS)
Here's Part 2 of my Welcome Home Website Update Reaction Notes (3/9/2024)! Hope you enjoy it!
Howdy caterpillar walking ASMR
“It was then that Howdy Pillar pulled out a luxurious looking scarf- If one were to take a guess, it was probably the perfect size for a large house! Wally’s eyes sparkled brightly as he looked at it, but Barnaby was not as impressed. Still, he remembered this was all for Wally.” Barnaby doesn’t like the scarf but at least he knows that Wally needs it to give it to Home…Barnaby’s a true bestie
“There, scaling the tallest of the Homewarming trees in all of the neighborhood, was Sally Starlet herself. She was wearing an outfit adorned in sparkles, glitter, tinsel, ornaments, and even strings of popcorn- She was, as she’s ever been, truly a sight to behold. Even now as she continued to climb up the tree, she was radiant.” Sally is a goddess and an icon
Sally’s nickname for Barnaby is Barntholomew” lol
Poppy is best bird mom friend lol
Also I wonder what the sunflower-seed ham tastes like
Why does Wally’s voice sound distorted when he says “How can that be.”? Is he sad? Mad? Both?
Awww at least the story ends on a good n-WAIT WHERE’S EDDIE??? WHY ISN’T HE IN THIS STORY???
EDDIE???
I’m scared for Eddie now
Also I love how we get to hear more of Home in this storybook record even if I joke around on how I hate Home lol
Now let’s hear Wally’s Toyland…I think it’s a Christmas song lol
Well at least this one has music instead of Wally singing acapella
Wally’s singing is so beautiful...It brought tears in my eyes sniffles
Also is it just me or do the lyrics “Childhood's joy land…Mystic merry toyland…Once you pass its borders…You can ne'er return again” seem kinda sus?
Like I feel like Wally’s singing about the Neighborhood and how you can never return back home once you entered it? Hmmm…
Anyways let’s listen to Up from the Home-Top which is basically the Welcome Home version of Up from the House Top lol
Oh crap Barnaby’s dead/j
THERE’S EDDIE THERE HE IS HE’S SAFE (for now)
“You lost control!? Can’t you see we’re in the middle of preparing for my Homewarming play? Julie is my Santa Claus! And Home? Her trusted reindeer!” Sally, how does Home being a reindeer work??? Is it gonna drag itself on the stage as Julie rides on top of it or???
Oh crap Julie and Frank are dead/j
Also the song is so silly and wholesome I love it
Now it’s time for “Howdy's Holiday Hullabaloo” Record!!! I’m so excited to hear this!!!
LET’S GO KIDDOS IT’S TIME TO LEARN SOME PILLAR FAMILY LORE
“How, normally, I don’t close early for any ol’ thing! Not rain, not sleet, not snow - not even that time Julie launched herself clean through the wall over there!” Oh god I imagine that one scene from the Scott Pilgrim movie where Scott crashes through a window…But instead of a window it’s a FREAKING WALL
HIS MA AND POPS AWWW
Howdy’s brother kinda sounds like Frank lol
Poor Howdy’s dying inside
I think we all know who Howdy’s favorite sibling is lol
The brother-in-law sounds so nonchalant lol
The nephews are so adorable awww
I just realized that Howdy’s uncle is a snail which is why he’s French lol
I wonder if the uncle is a reference to the Swedish Chef from the Muppets but he’s French instead
Oh god the cousin is a stoner hippie lol
I love Howdy’s grandma
I love Barnaby’s reaction to seeing Howdy’s family at the end lol
Overall the song is pretty charming and I love it so much
Also Barnaby's Tobacco Pipe??? Honestly it’s funny but I don’t think this toy will go well if it was created today lol
Barnaby be teaching kids in the early 70s’ how to be like Snoop Dogg but instead of weed it’s bubbles
Oh god not the nephews
Now let’s listen to “Bug-a-Bye and Goodnight: An Ode to Hibernation” Record
Frank’s voice is so beautiful I love it
But Frank seems kinda sad…
I want to buy that set of homewarming greeting cards to give to my family and friends during Christmas lol
Also I want to try the Crispy Sweets frosted cereal so bad...I NEED IT!!!
And there’s a mini doodle on the side of the pictures too
OHHHHH SO THAT’S WHY THOSE SYMBOLS ARE EVERYWHERE THEY’RE PART OF A SECRET CODE
I solved the code at the back of the cereal box but I don’t have time to decipher the other code that was spread all over the website because I’m too lazy lol
I went back to the Merchandise section and found out that Eddie’s toy that Santa was about to introduce in the radio ad was an Eddie Dear Li’l Mailman Kit
I also want to buy all these toys so bad I don’t care if I’m a college student I want them all lol
“Although our Guestbook is and will remain closed for the foreseeable future, we wanted to properly recreate it for those newly joining in our efforts to explore Welcome Home! After all, it’s fun to look back and see how far we’ve come together as a community! We will be recreating all eight original pages in the near future, so check back in soon to see if you can find your message! Have fun!” I can’t wait to see the Guestbook in the future
ALSO I JUST REALIZED THAT THE CLICKABLE BUGS ARE GONE
Dang I’m gonna miss those bugs
I can’t believe I spent hours on this website lol
My hands are kinda tired from typing lol
Also let me know if I miss anything

Silence falls.
Footsteps on the stage.
A sharp chemical cacophony of odors wafts across the floor to you and reminds you of Home.
Home.
Home.
You lift your head as far as the crushing weight of bureaucracy will let you and catch sight of your alchemist treading the boards, a circle of spotlight bathing them in milky brightness.
Null steps forward, a hand extending so slightly that it could be your imagination to force space between you and the avatar of Law. Their other hand raises and twirls as they speak casually, professionally, "You've skipped the entirety of the play! And all for what? Don't you know the most thrilling part of the play is the meat between the lettering? Surely you've felt that rush before. What's more exciting a prospect, having the fun sucked away in an instant by skipping along to the end, or getting the chance to either, inhale the sweet chemical dread of a losing battle or the absolutely magical experience of having your mind changed once you've made it up. I for one think that regardless of the final outcome, a far more entertaining play to be staged would be the latter. Why… you haven't even heard me argue in Zeb's favor!"
Zeb's voice is barely a whisper, but it carries like a song, "In my favor?
"Ok one," The paper judge points at Zeb, "Nobody said you could speak, and two," they nod at Null "I have no idea what you are, but keep talking."
Null nods right back at the judge. "Nor do I, chum! Ha! Look at this small creature, a mere flicker of a flame, someone who hasn't even formed their own opinions on things. You seek to punish but a fruiting body of a worsening problem." They reach up to their mask, clicking a small plastic switch and breathing in deep before pulling it away, revealing a sharp-toothed grin briefly shrouded by a vapor that falls heavy to the ground. "Save your wrath for someone who succeeds, someone who isn't but a child who can still learn and grow. I do not advocate for no punishment, the crimes he has committed against me and mine are far too great, but they will be far less severe than what I know your court is capable of. So say the Prince of Hearts and Nothing elsewise."
The judge gnaws idly on the end of their gavel. "I do believe my wrath is warranted in these circumstances, the boy has been charged with terrorism, attempted genocide, somewhat successful regicide, arson, destruction of property, and general criminal naughtiness."
"Ok but killing him is a BIT harsh, don't you think?" Calls a voice from somewhere in the crowd. "I mean he's just a ki--" There's a gunshot and the voice falls silent.
"He is just a kid though," Says another voice, a familiar one. The Ambassadorable of Toyland stands amidst the crowd, illuminated by the garish glow of a spotlight. "And kids make mistakes, you can't learn from your mistakes if you're dead."
"Yeah but you can't make MORE mistakes if you're dead either." counters a different voice, this one is also silenced by a gunshot.
You are unsure who's side the gunman is on.
The judge keeps gnawing on their gavel, looking bored. "If you can find a suitable punishment for..." they make a sweeping but noncommittal gesture. "All that that isn't death, I'd love to hear it."

Babes she literally so intising to me I swear it’s having your mars and Venus in same sign she literally created a whole genre of clothing calledkinderwhore , many other girls are doing it as well like cat, be yell and Jennifer Finch and bikini and all of babes in toyland, so they put out a style that nobody else had at the time which then became to be grunge and kind. because I wasn’t alive around the whole Nirvana thing in the early 90s well I was alive, but I would’ve been a really young child like a dog or something. I’m not too sure how much hate Courtney I’ve got, but I believe that she was more popular over here in the UK. She used to like have little tea cups and do little British things, and now she actually lives over here because I think she’s had enough is like the whole American thing. I mean she needs to go ahead to get old old. I’m talking like 1800 dresses and turn them into little baby doll dresses like is a bit controversial to say the least but this is Courtney love for you.
When I was a lot slimmer, she was my fashion icon. She still is now, and I love the blonde hair. I love the whole Grunwick with the little shoes, the tea dresses the skate dresses, and she’s just been known for all her different phases underground, grand artist, her and Eric has solid Capricorn to her cancer would do music together, and they had many variations of hole so, the first saturation of hole was Courtney and Eric, Jill, Emery and Caroline. This went on from about 1989 to 1992, so when Courtney met her in 92, neither of them were doing much, they literally just got high on her and all the time so they they didn’t bring out the best teacher in each other in that sense.
These two water sons, her being a cancer, son and him being a Pisces son, but also with his cancer moon and heart cancer moon. These two would have the most they used to argue about who had the most fucked up child, and who had it worse, I’ve always wanted to know what star sign mother was. She gives me Virgo vibes but also I’m not sure. I know that Courtney Courtney‘s mum cause I looked into it anyway Courtney‘s childhood was very like Bohemian. She didn’t her mum was adopted and after five people who are adopted that they have the money to do so and raise a child and all that other stuff to start off with she had, her mum was when who was adopted the family. The family made pieces of glass for glasses in the war. So yeah they had a lot of like choose trust fun kid or whatever you wanna call it.
So Courtney was pushed round from home to home. Her mother took her sisters to New Zealand and Courtney was sort of left behind. I think they initially took her but it became too much I mean imagine just like saying no I’m gonna give up on my child is I’m gonna give you to your stepdad relationship, but whatever Courtney, when became a personal vendetta, let’s say against the people that she was living with so the new person would be her stepdad new partner, so he had to make the choice of who do I get my partner or my stepdaughter and then, she was getting into loads of trouble with like the law and stupid things like shoplifting and then boot will be putting in juvenile hall with like she makes that lectures really poured that, but when you see like the pictures of places like they were allowed to do what they wanted mainly, but of course she was an outcast they were like I bet you were really sociable. One interviewer said she said no, I came across is very autistic and I learn my social skills from drug addicts, drag queen, and criminals.
So Kurts childhood was a bit different. He had it really good with his mum and dad up to the age of nine. I think when they got divorced and he was a very hyperactive but really loving child. His mother would say, he almost felt so ashamed of his parents being divorced, he wrote on the wall,”mum hates dad. Dad hates mum” so he would go from home to home with uncles aunts on both sides of the family. He live with a religious family for about six months and they said that he was really good and more behaved, there are lots of fairies that cat lived under a bridge for awhile and also which bridge was it nobody knows if it’s true, but I don’t believe it to be true. I mean he shouldn’t of had to be homeless as a teenager, but it just shows you the whole Gen X generation and what they had to go through. This pushed people like and Courtney to get better, and now I’m gonna add into the new generation of us, Millennials and Genzie. There wasn’t anything left to create. The only thing to create was history, and how we were inspired by these people who were the generation before us who went through so much and got so little and asked for so little on TikTok this morning I saw somebody say why we leave Gen X out and then they say Gen X are Millennials that just don’t talk about what they went through like Millennials do they’ll just give you a face and I thought that is so true. With regards to the sinner history of these two charts, his Scorpio Mars being in her second house would mean that his of love and sexuality, he was attracted to her materialism, even though even though Pisces men like to not admit that it is very true, so what they say is often opposite to what they feel, specially with a cancer moon as well so , so cost being on his ninth house would be her Gemini Mars and Gemini Venus, which is a Sagittarius house. These two had a lot to talk about. They were attracted to each other knowledge, especially Kurt towards court she was attracted to his power, his influence, his ways, his sexuality, what she didn’t like is, he got all the praise that she would’ve wanted and he didn’t give a damn about because he had Virgo rising and was born under a full moon, because the signs are in opposite positions, so I mean rising and sun Venus, in Pisces, Venus is mercury and Pisces and his son and Pisces. All in the seventh house of relationships is why Kurt was such a big influence on the world and why people really felt like they knew him and felt connected to him . thank you,

Toyland - Chapter 5
Location: Shopping District Characters: Hinata, Touri, Yuuta & Yuzuru
TL Note:
Ama no Iwato is a cave from Japanese mythology. It’s said the Goddess of the Sun, Amaterasu, had hidden herself inside and took all the world’s light with her. To entice Amaterasu out of the cave, a few gods threw parties and made a fuss. Curious to see what was going on, she finally stepped outside and the world was once again bathed in light.
For those who don’t know, Touri’s surname has the kanji for “princess / 姫 (hime)”, hence the variety of nicknames he has associated with it.
“Momo” is the Japanese word for “peach”.
Yuzuru: Young Master. I’m aware you find it fascinating, but please don’t look at everything around you with such awe. It’ll be too late when you bump into a passerby and hurt yourself.
Touri: Oh geez, how many times do I have to tell you not to treat me like a little kid!? I’m not a baby that can’t do anything without your help, Yuzuru.
Yuzuru: …I apologise. I hope you will overlook my impertinent behaviour.
Touri: Hey, don’t make such a sad face.
What happened to the Yuzuru who would nag me about every little thing like a mother-in-law?
If you’re not feeling well, then you don’t have to accompany me here. I’m just taking a look in advance before the toy store is open.
We’re not meeting with them on official business so me and the twins will be fine on our own ♪
Yuzuru: That is very much correct, however, I apologise for obstructing your growth.
I’ve only just learnt that supporting you at your side by filling in the areas you lack is not the only form of love… But the personality I have developed over the many years will be difficult to change overnight.
Touri: ……? I don’t really get it but you’re you, Yuzuru.
I don’t think you have to force yourself to change your personality and I’d be thrown off if you suddenly had a change in character.
Anyway, you’re fine the way you are! Well, sometimes I do wish you were nicer.
Yuzuru: You tend to be quite carried away when someone spoils you, Young Master. Therefore, it’s best to treat you in a kind but strict manner.
Hinata: Heey, how long are you guys gonna talk for~? We can’t go in by ourselves. You guys need to go in first and tell them why we’re here.
Touri: Woah, don’t pull my arm, commoner! My legs are shorter than yours so you should be walking at my pace! …Hey, are you listening to me~!?
Yuzuru: Fufu. Just as I’ve had a change of heart after deepening the relationships with my classmates on the school trip…
It seems the Young Master is also changing.
…It does make me somewhat sad, but I too must grow up into an adult.
[ Location: Toy Store ]
Hinata: Oh, there’s a toy made of wood! I wonder if it’s a horse~ Clip clop, clip clop! ♪
Touri: Don’t touch the products~! I’m scared you might break something. If you do, you’ve gotta pay for it, okay?
Hinata: Sure thing~
…It’s that expensive!? What’s with this price!? It’s just a wooden horse. This is a rip-off, Hime-kun~
Touri: Don’t say that! It costs that much because it uses domestic wood. If anything, this is a fair price ♪
Hinata: Say what~? There are people out there who pay this much for a toy~?
Ah, you can buy the toys over here with just one coin. Now that’ll be easy on my wallet~♪
Touri: Not everyone is as rich as me.
I guess Yuzuru helped pass the message along, but Papa asked me for some ideas so this booth is the result of one of them.
Squeezing out every penny from the commoners isn’t something nobles do, after all.
Someday, I’ll be the head of the Himemiya family and I’ll have to lead everyone. I’ve gotta be a good leader who takes every single one of the commoners into consideration.
Hinata: Ohh~ I see you’re actually thinking about the future, huh. Good job ♪
Touri: Hey, stop patting my head! I know I’m cute but if you keep doing that I’ll start biting back! Grrr!
Hinata: Ahaha, he’s like a playful cat. That’s so cute~ We have a cat at home so I think we’ll get along pretty well. *Tickle tickle* ♪
Touri: Whaa!? Don’t tickle my chin~ Wahahaha!
*Pant~ Wheeze~...* A-Are you trying to kill me!?
Ugh, my tummy hurts so much from laughing~ Anzu, Hinata’s being a bully so hide me!
Hinata: T-That’s not fair~ You can’t hide behind Anzu. Yuuta-kun, how shall we get Hime-kun out of the Ama no Iwato cave[1]?
Yuuta: What? You’re making me come up with something again…? I’m sure he’ll come out if you ask him to.
Hime-kun, he won’t tease you anymore, so come on out, okay?
Touri: …………
Yuuta: Oh no~ He’s stuck behind Anzu-san and is hiding his face. This is quite tricky.
Should we have some fun without Hime-kun like they did in the story? Or…
Heheh, I’ve come up with a better idea ♪
Yuuta: “Why don’t you come play with me, Princess[2]? ♪”
Touri: Who’re you calling “Princess”? …Huh?
Yuuta: “I’m happy you finally showed your lovely face ♪ I’m a teddy bear who doesn’t have a name yet. Could you give me one?”
Touri: …You’re definitely not as lovely as me. I’m not gonna fall for your tricks.
Yuuta: “Do you hate me, Princess…?”
Touri: Uuu… I know it’s Yuuta saying all this, but I can’t ignore you if you sound so sad like that~!
Uuu~... If you really, really want one, then I guess I don’t mind giving you a name!
Hinata: Yuuta-kun has successfully got him to come out. Ahaha, you’re so easy, Hime-kun~♪
Touri: Don’t call me that! Now that I think about it, you look a lot like “Momo[3]”.
Hinata: Momo? Uh, is that a cousin of yours or something?
Yuzuru: No, not a relative… You can see a soft toy sticking out of the Young Master’s pocket, yes?
He gave it the name of “Momo” and cherishes it very much.
Hmm. It seems the Young Master didn’t cause any issues while I was away on the school trip.
So perhaps I shall make the Young Master his very own “teddy bear” as a reward.
You’re also interested as well, you say, Anzu-san? Fortunately, it seems the Young Master is busy talking with the Aoi brothers, so let’s discuss the details before they notice.

Werebelushi:
I call this my rebuttal to the 'rude comments' I get. 1. Seriously? Not everyone likes clown tfs and I am one of them, so what? My friend Nathan got subjected to some pretty gross RPs which he was involved in and some of those involved clowns and he was groomed in those, he has PTSD, please be respectful to a PTSD sufferer. 2. Uhhh…yeah, but only extreme horny perverts are into leather and pup play and drones, not me. I am allowed to not like them, drone transfromations fetishize robots. 3. I didn't know that the internet consisted of Brian Peck and Dan Schneider. Because i'm pretty sure fetishizing minors, even fictional ones, is against the law, heck there is a rule on Furaffinity that prohibits sexual content of child or characters that look like children. What's that? You think people actually like that shit. Oh I didn't know Jeffrey Jones was here, wait here, i'm going to get my autograph book and ask him to sign it. 4. As someone who has been traumatized by rule34 before I am just going to say this, look rule34 of children's show characters is probably inevitable but come on, I am not saying the characters in general are bad for you to do fanart of, only more sexual fanart. I consider Noddy one of those characters that is too dear to be fetishized, no matter how many lewd Noddy type elf types you make. And when I meant that I hope your favorite kids show characters do become public domain, I meant that I hope you will learn your lesson the harsh-way once someone makes a 'Noddy: Terror in Toyland' horror movie or a 'Barney' horror movie parody, or a similar movie pitch to those and it gets made. Look I accidentally looked up Beauty and the Beast rule34 once while looking up infor on the characters for fanfics and I got traumatized, okay? I did not mean to look that type of content up, it popped up in Google Search. And also a troll of Nathan's used to pick on him with rule34 including one image of Bugs Bunny showing off his 'big carrot', when characters like that aren't supposed to be anatomically correct. 5. Who cares about shit I may have said and done in the past? I already explained all my actions and apologized, when will these people learn that moving on is a thing that exists? 6. I like weird stuff too but i'm not an overly lusty freak about it. I don't go around saying how i'd want to be TGed into Elvira, Lisa Marie (Smith or Presley, even though the latter is dead) or Marisa Tomei, do I? Of course not. I am allowed to like what I like. 7. You do not speak for the rest of the internet, honey. Believe it or not, not everyone has the same tastes and while toon tfs and BDSM may appeal to some, others will not have the same opinion. Last time I checked not everyone on the internet has a thing for characters from shows for kids and families, and not everyone on the internet fetishizes clowns or robots and not everyone likes feral animal transformations.

About Me: Very Abridged Synopsis
Wearing my favorite old & tattered Santa Muerte shirt, my urn necklace with Rodolfo's grave dirt & my sacred ankh both for spiritual purposes and in salute to Rodolfo's MC, the Free Souls.
So, about me post. All posts are about me, but this one covers favorites & shit. 😊
Current space: Not bad. As usual but abilities are heightened. Moon is Full & in Pisces. No wonder the energy is wild. I'm a Pisces rising. Always gets me!
My Astrology: Aquarius, Cancer moon, Pisces rising. Mercury conjunct Mars (natural magician), placements for natural necromancer as well. I'm on the more dangerous side of necromancy because of my astro makeup. You get more water & air, watch out! My makeup is Watery Air, Aquarius signature.
Path: Created myself, but catching on: Muerteria. A solitary path that not only venerates muertos, but works with them exclusively for all of life's highs and lows, trials and tribulations, and everything in between. Some of us use magic with our muerto(s), others do not. Muerteria celebrates independence of thought and actions. Each of us in Muerteria represent a Greater Whole. One requirement for Muerteria is to read The Kybalion, a book about the Seven (7) Hermetic Laws. This is a foundational text of Muerteria. There are others. Are there gods? No. And, no, the muertos are not gods either. Veneration does not mean worship.
Devotee of: Muerteria & Santa Muerte.
Personal:
Height: 4'9"
Weight: I ain't fat. Here's me & Aleister again: (clothes are so baggy, wearing a loose size 12 pants &a loose size large top). He's 5'8" but looks tall to me! That's the average height for men in my family. Though my grandpa Arthur, the Freemason, was only 5'4"!
Ok. Anyway.
Mental Health? No, not touching on that. Just know that I had electroshock therapy because of severe depression & it cured me. I'm overly anxious & have PTSD. I've had the same shrink for 12 years & just got a new therapist.
Felonies? Almost. Skated by with a very serious Misdemeanor. I could have stayed in jail for a year, year & a half. But the judge at my arraignment said 20 months! 😢
Sooo what did I like about jail? NOTHING!!!
What did I hate about jail? EVERYTHING, but especially how cold it is & you get 1 blanket, the horrible food, having no rights, earning privileges, the inmates, being so LOUD, and medical waking me up at 1 AM to check my blood pressure! Oh, I failed to mention the young woman (about 18) who murdered two of her own babies! Weirdo fucking freak.
Favorites -
Music:
I'll start with my early influences. My mom got me started very very early with The Rolling Stones. I'm a life long fan of theirs. My dad liked old country, so I was heavily influenced by Johnny Cash, mostly. There was a lot of Kenny Rogers and Conway Twitty as well.
My brother is 8 years my senior and when I was about 12, he got me into 80's New Wave and introduced me to Siouxsie Sioux at 13. I was in 💖love💖!!! I started looking into the punk movement, from there I found a vampire book. It had goths & goth music in it. Found Bauhaus!! Looked at them at the music shop & bought a CD. Instant love! Peter Murphy sounded similar to my other love: Bowie!! 💖
There is so much music that I love. Currently number 1 is The Sisters of Mercy. Right now, I also love Babes in Toyland, Catholic Spit, The Devil & The Universe, Aghast, Stereo Taxic Device, Cocteau Twins (only up to Treasure album - don't really care for shoegaze or dreampop), Dead Spells, Savages, Malefixio (Spanish).
Books -
Occult: ONLY books published before a certain point. I'd say around 1975 or so, but there are good ones later. I just prefer old ones before '75 because I've found much more stability, no fluffy shit (there's some, but that's New Age, not magic & Witchcraft, generally), there's less of the 'good' vs. 'evil' bullshit, and there were more secrets contained within without being easily discovered. I've found gems that have never reached the internet. Seriously!
Other books -
I only read non-fiction. Bio's and true crime are my favorite. "The Executioner's Song," by Norman Mailer is my all time favorite! It's a true crime novel. I'm a Gary Gilmore fan. "Shot in the Heart," written by Mikal Gilmore is better. "Deviant," by Harold Schechter is a good one about ***Ed Gein - who my dad spent time around as a kid*** in small town Wisconsin! It was some time before 1958. My dad was about nine (9) years old. Dad described him as goofy & Elmer Fudd like, dumb acting.
Oh yeah - my mom almost got picked up by Ted Bundy!! Yikes! But yes, seriously, he was in Oregon and she was his type of girl. She had fast instincts, luckily.
Food -
Too much to write. I'd never complete this!
Crystals -
Amethyst - most versatile & radiates HTDE strongly. It charges very quickly in grave dirt.
Shungite: Gets rid of EMF, the muertos love that! Plus they are drawn to the 99% carbon of which this stone is composed of. Humans are carbon beings & the muertos know this. Shungite gives them the energy of the living! So does Orgonite.
Smoky Quartz: Another stone that's versatile & vibrates HTDE strongly. It's very protective and will help with grounding. Wear or carry this stone to a new graveyard, it helps tune in and protects against hostile muertos.
Regular Quartz: This is a stone that I use for multipurpose uses. It's protective, brings in muertos, holds muertos (if properly programmed), empowers everything its used for!
Jet: Used for mourning. I wear it all the time. Yes, I know it's not a crystal. Nor is it heavy. Don't buy French Jet. It's glass.
Obsidian: It's good if you like it & has many properties, like protection and grounding, but a lot of muertos don't like it much. I guess it's too sharp? My muerto doesn't mind it, but he's just neutral about it.
I have a ton more fav crystals but more favorite shit to go...
People -
My hubby. We're glued together. Hermits. My son. A few friends. My dads friend Natasha. That's about it. I don't favorite celebrities.
Movies -
Old Hollywood stuff. Natalie Wood. Greta Garbo, Bette Davis. Joan Crawford, Joan Fontaine, Orson Welles, all Hitchcock, Roman Polanski films - like Rosemary's Baby, Repulsion & The Ninth Gate; newer movies piss me off. I don't need sex in my face. If I want that, I'll watch a porno.
What I'm Known For:
Having a shit ton of useless knowledge about everything. My medical prowess. Being stubborn to a point of such frustration that ppl wanna kill me. I'm just sayin' got an Aquarius signature! Being extremely forgetful but not on purpose. Try having 120-250 joules of electricity on yer head!! I told my son that & he went totally silent for 2 minutes. He knows what joules are. He's a physicist. 😕
I'm also known for my Barstad sarcasm & humor (mom's side), which can go far beyond normal. Lol! I'm very simple & easy to please but don't tell many about that, I'm a total tomboy, if that even exists nowadays? Growing up, I was with my dad a lot, so I lived & breathed cars & junkyards were my sacred ground. Still love cars & will talk about them for hours. Older cars, that is. I still dislike fuel injection, but that's mostly earlier fuel injections, like throttle bodies. Don't think they use those anymore, hells no!
See? Total geek. Love my muertos & my cars. Think my machinist grandpa likes my technical side. I'm still talking to him. I recently channeled my grandpa Arthur, but he came in garbled. Needs work! Love grandpa's!! My dad was a very good one. Sure miss him. 😢
I do have one secret favorite! Old football!! Da Bears! Dick Butkus! And Walter Payton! I've been outed! Hate modern football! Boring, whistle blows too much, too many fines & penalties! Let em play!
That's all! Hope you got through this post in one piece.

VioletGanache42's Holiday Watchlist
The holiday season is coming up once again and I am here to bring another watchlist just for the occasion! When I made my Halloween watchlist, I ended up liking the idea a lot to where I decided to do something similar for the holidays. Here, you'll find a festive collection of movies and TV episodes and specials; although a majority of it is Christmas, I also made sure to include any Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Year stuff I enjoyed. I even threw in a few winter-themed episodes for a couple of shows, mostly for shits and giggles.
Much like my Halloween watchlist, this will also be under a "Read More" because of its length and I want to surprise you with any more additions in the following years.
Happy holidays, everyone! 🎄🕎🎉❄️ (I wish there was a Kwanzaa emoji for iOS and Android.)

Toyfolk Glossary Masterpost
Collected in this masterpost is a glossary of terms concerning the worldbuilding of my series Misfits in Toyland.
Toyland - A phantom island of games and toys inhabited by the toyfolk. Also known as the Land of Toys, Island of Misfit Toys, the Doll Kingdom, and Merryland. Although autonomously ruled and governed by a monarch, it belongs to its creator, Krampus. It exists in a parallel plane of existence that dances in tandem with the mortal realm known as the Otherworld.
Toyfolk - People who’ve been transformed into living toys and sent to Toyland as punishment for their misdeeds by Krampus. This punishment is reserved only for adults. They don't possess any vital functions and thus have no need to eat, drink, or breathe.
Rule of Play - the magic that allows toyfolk to interact with toys as if they were real simply by playing pretend with them. For example, toyfolk can move their bodies simply by pretending that they can, despite not having muscles, a nervous system, or any of the necessary organs. Same goes to their ability to speak and sense the world around them. Externally, they can make any toy real for them by interacting with it as if it were real - such as pretending to eat toy food in order to mimic the sensation of eating. There are, of course, limitations to the Rule of Play. For example, it cannot be used to create life (playing with a normal doll or a toy animal won’t cause it to come to life) or cause death (playing dead won’t cause suicide). Toyfolk roleplaying with each other can even temporarily alter their perception.
Phantom Nervous System - named after Phantom Limb Pain, the Phantom Nervous System is what allows the toyfolk to move without muscles, see without eyes, hear without ears, taste without tongues, think without brains, and even feel (temperature, texture, pain, erogenous stimulation, etc.,), all without possessing any organs or nerves. Toyfolk are essentially undead - the mind and soul bound to a lifeless object and animated by magic.
Toy Fugue - Named after Dissociative Fugue (although the two should not be conflated), Toy Fugue is an altered mental state where Toyfolk lose their memories and sense of identity. Their minds are subsumed by their Toy Brain and form a new identity based around the type of toy they are. Toy Fugue is a mental escape triggered by traumatic events and emotionally distressing experiences. It’s often the end result of those who fail to find a way to cope with an existential crisis. Unlike dissociative fugue, Toy Fugue isn’t temporary, nor does it cause one to wander. While some have been able to snap out of it, others may be doomed to remain that way for the rest of their lives.
Toy Brain - also known as Play Brain, refers to the “programming” that all toyfolk have that gives them a collection of instinctive urges to play the part of whatever type of toy they are. Many struggle to find a balance between these urges and their own personalities, and it's a great source of discomfort for many of the toyfolk. Much like a Chinese Finger Trap, attempts to resist these urges will only cause them to intensify and worsen. If toyfolk fail to control their urges, their urges will ultimately end up controlling them and descend into Toy Fugue. These urges can range from specific (such as tea parties) to more broad (such as animal behaviours).
Magic - Magic works differently in the Mundane World than it does in the Otherworld. One can be forgiven in thinking magic doesnt exist in our world, but the truth is exists in its most fundamental and purest form - imagination. In its passive form, it manifests as thoughts, ideas, creativity, emotions, and problem-solving. In its most active form, it can manifest as psionics (also known as psychic powers and ESP). Long-term exposure to another plane will cause an entity to slowly acclimatize to the laws of that reality.
Wind-Up Keys - Wind-up keys have the ability to temporarily influence a wind-up toyfolk's personality and behaviour. Each key contains toy brain traits of the wind-up toy it came from. For example, a toy soldier wound up with a music box key would suddenly start to act more feminine and want to dance like a ballerina.
Voice Boxes - While most toyfolk are able to speak through the Rule of Play, those with voice boxes are bound to the rules of the voice box. Those with pull-strings, for example, cannot speak unless their pull-string is pulled. The voice box isn't just an analog for the larynx, but also functions as the speech center of the brain (particularily the Broca's Area). It contains their voice, vocabulary, speech patterns, accent, language, everything. Damage to this aparatus may cause something akin to aphasia, dysphasia, or dysarthria.
Playing Dress-Up - For dress-up dolls, costumes and outfits can influence their behaviour and personality. For example, a business suit could make them feel and act confident, a girly dress could make them feel and act girly, a maid uniform could make them feel and act like a maid, a collar could make them feel like a pet, so on and so forth. The affects are temporary, only lasting as long as they're wearing the outfit, but their original outfit they ever wore as a toyfolk gets imprinted into their toy brain, making it their default trait.
Currency - The official currency of Toyland is the Standard 52-card deck of French-suited playing cards. Playing cards were chosen over play money on account of the fact they couldn't decide on which nation's or board game's play money to use. They ended up turning to Quebecois history for inspiration. Playing-card money was a type of paper money used periodically in New France from 1685 to the British Conquest in 1763.

me: sees wind in the willows, noddys toyland, postman pat or some other slightly popular british cartoon
me: Cosgrove Hall Films (also known as Cosgrove Hall Productions) was a British animation studio founded by Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall; its headquarters was in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester. Cosgrove Hall was once a major producer of children's television and animated programmes; Cosgrove Hall's programmes are still seen in over eighty countries. The company was wound down by its then owner, ITV plc, on 26 October 2009. It was mainly known for its series Danger Mouse and Count Duckula. Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall first met while both were students at Manchester College of Art and Design, which is now part of Manchester Metropolitan University. They later became co-workers at Granada Television, where they produced television graphics.cHall left his job in 1969 and founded his own production company, Stop Frame Productions.cCosgrove joined the company shortly after its establishment.cTheir first projects, for Stop Frame, included public service films and television commercials for such companies as the TVTimes. From 1971 to 1972, the company released the animated series, The Magic Ball, which they created in a renovated shed located in the yard of Cosgrove's father-in-law. Hall directed two animated productions for Stop Frame, Captain Noah and His Floating Zoo, which was released in 1972, and the television series, Noddy, which aired in 1975. The company also produced opening credits and graphics for children's series such as Rainbow in 1972. Stop Frame Productions ceased production, and was closed, in 1975. However, Cosgrove and Hall were able to find new work in animation, specifically due to their earlier work on the 1972 series Rainbow. The producer of Rainbow, Thames Television, an ITV company, created a new, subsidiary, animation studio called Cosgrove Hall Films. Thames hired and commis

Weather cool but tolerable.
As usual I have waited until Christmas Eve to start looking for gifts. My first stop is the Metropolitan Opera House gift shop. After much browsing I can't find anything, but am not convinced I won't be able to. I I ask the young lady how late they'll be open. She says ten p m. Says the opera has a busy schedule today and tonight. Tonight, "Magic Flute" (no surprise) but this afternoon a dress rehearsal of "Wozzeck." Hardly the piece to get one in a Holiday mood. Hair raising. I've seen a couple of times. The first time was on a matinee afternoon. Many baffled patrons crept out. (As opera goes, it is short. there is no intermission.) I must have been gifted a ticket. This work is never a great sell; when it is performed the orchestra always has plenty of comps to hand out. The second time I saw it Levine was conducting (where is he now?). A ticket was given me by an orchestra member. There were many musicians in the audience. Jimmy did a great job, having much better luck with it than with Berg's other opera ("Lulu"). Note: There is a great Leinsdorf recording of the orchestral interludes, a kind of Wozzeck-without-the-singing. Alas, I no longer have it. It went the way of all my LPs.
Later: The people at Barnes and Noble quite nice.
I shall pull myself together and go to Queens tomorrow.
Wednesday, December 25, 2019
Wrap presents. I'm not good at it...but sort of get by.
Pull myself together and head out.
The Queens bound "A" train.
Doing the crossword takes the edge off in making the trip out to Queens.
At Kenichi's house the TV is on. No one is paying attention. It's "Babes in Toyland," a piece that Little Orchestra did to death most Christmas seasons. I say to Julie, "You get the trivia prize if you can name this movie." She has no idea. Getting this show together was my first big assignment as a music librarian, which helps explain my great dislike for it.
Note: "Babes" ends with "March of the Toys." One year the Maestro had the idea of having a local high school marching band come down the two aisles of (what was then) Avery Fisher Hall, blowing the roof off. Great idea...yes? The boys and girls were thrilled to be playing in such a classy venue and we wouldn't have to pay them. It was cacophony, an aural train wreck. The kids had to pretend to be playing, which must have been a disappointment to parents who'd come to see their kids play. And for the band, that had worked so hard to prepare for this.
A discussion among Kenichi's in-laws...a couple that had a baby and later got married...the aunt shunned them until the union was made official because "They were living in blasphemy."
Later: An orgy of present unwrapping.

So I decided to make a couple of logos for the game titles I came up with playing Game Dev Tycoon back in the day.
Blobert: Soft Marshmallow.
Mike West’s Pieces of Eight: Main title is Windlass, creator’s credit is Henry Morgan Hand.
Ace Justice, Attorney At Law: Soria. Star is hand-drawn.
Kindred: Danse Macabre: “Kindred” is Cretino (bit of trivia, Vampire: the Requiem uses Cretino for the “branding” of the Daeva clan, so it’s a bit of an in-joke here), “Danse Macabre” is VTC Embrace.
Kindred: Retribution: “Retribution” is The Devil Net, with the dings touched up with red.
Castlemania: The “C” is Cenobyte, the rest is Jibriel Caps.
Castlemania: Shadow of the Vampire: “Shadow of the Vampire” is Verve Alternate.
Castlemania: On Midnight Wings: The “C” is Technovia, the rest of the title is Germanica, subtitle is Babes in Toyland.
Fury: Dirtee Box. The cracks are filled with a fire image by MegapixelMasterpiece.
Xrossfire: Black Watch: The X is Overdrive Sunset, the rest is Aero Matics with a couple of alterations (a notch cut into E and bars wiped from A’s).
