Hi Im the one who asked about Doc and Pearl in Lamplight a few days ago. The random idea I had about Doc was the Watchers dig up Doc's body to experiment with necromancy, Doc is pissed that he got woken up from his peaceful death, and that the Watchers are living in the place that was his home. the Watchers eventually remove his magic and leave him for dead like they do with their other experiments, but now Doc is fueled by revenge. Pearl is also an escaped experiment, maybe finding Bigb and Jim

3. What is the rarest rare pair (that you ship)?

Let's see. I already mentioned MegaProwl the last time, so I'mma try a different one. Rare but that I actively enjoy and seek out... gonna go Megatron/Drift this time.

I enjoy it. I've actually sought out the content that I could for it. I've written it and look forward to one day writing more. Only... 4-5 other people that I know of also actively like it.

Every time someone posts something with this ship in it, we all show up like someone's taking roll call.

14. Is there a ship you feel gets undeserved hate in fandom?

I can think of two right off the top of my head. WindScream and MegaStar both get a weird amount of hate. Like it's fine to not like them; that's cool. It's the hate I don't get.

The former ship I'm not even really into, but almost all the complaints I've seen are that it's the same as some or other Star Wars ship. I haven't interacted with media from that franchise in like 15 years so I have no idea what people are talking about.

I don't really see how it relates to TF at all. So, the complaints just baffle me, like I thought we were talking about robots, guys.

For the latter ship, I'm gonna stop there so we don't go into the weeds.

23. Have you ever started shipping a ship because of the fans?

No, not really.

Usually it goes the other way for me. Hasn't happened much in TF though.

I think the closest I've gotten to liking something because of the fans is MegaRatch, because I read two specific fics about it randomly and then got hooked. And decided I needed to make content for it.

In TF? No, not really. If I don't like something, I just filter it and go about my day.

Sure! The Autobots deserve some love too!

Slow burn: I could see a slow burn working out with Bumblebee. He's sweet and nice, and he'd love to take me for car rides. We'd get along pretty quickly so it would be more of a friends to lovers type of slow burn. The main reason why it would be a slow burn in the first place is because I'm a shy dumbass who can never make the first move and Bee wouldn't realize that human/Cybertronian relationships could even Be A Thing

Fake dating: Hmm, maybe Bulkhead. I'm not sure why we'd be fake dating, but he'd be super awkward about it and it would be funny. He'd also be really sweet and buy me candy (that he knows humans like thanks to Miko)

Enemies to lovers: This definitely seems to be the most plausible with Arcee. I'd annoy her somehow but then I'd find myself in the middle of a Decepticon attack and she'd save me but in a "it's not like I like you or anything, baka" way. And then I'd move in with the Autobots because my home was destroyed in the attack and we'd get to know each other and fall in love that way

Sroloc_Elbisivni's Spontaneous Earth series is just. . . very good. lots of cool worldbuilding in there.

ObliqueVion's Nor Is He Early has some of The Best worldbuilding I've seen in Transformers fanfic. (Generic G1/continuity soup, No War AU)

On SpaceBattles, AshlingWaltz's To Fuel the Guttering Flame is quite possibly the best self-insert I've read yet (and I've read a lot of them). Top notch worldbuilding as well, sooo much stuff in it has been inspiring me. Book 2 has recently begun and the current place in the timeline is building up to the war! (Custom continuity, takes influence from all corners of Transformers canon. Good soup! OC-centric)

We need a Warriors / Star Trek crossover

oh absolutely. the command structure of trek also rly easily lends itself to the warrior cats hierarchy too so ??

like captain = leader, FO = deputy, doc = medicine cat, remaining bridge crew = senior warriors ...

you could have the clans instead of being stationary be like. a travelling group wandering the forest/any large piece of land largely untouched by humans to mimic the exploration of space. ent crew begins this journey because of maybe a messenger from another group of cats reaches out to ask if they want to trade herbs/skills/prey etc (mirroring first contact w vulcans) and when that goes well, the leaders of the original clan decide to send out a group of warriors to explore and see if there’s more out there than just their clan (this would be the ent crew)

so the ent crew explore the area surrounding their territory, which probably includes a lot of different types of terrain and they meet new cats/other species along the way and ally with some of them, making friends and stuff. some of the cats they meet want to join their group and they let them, and some of the original members want to stay with certain groups. the journeying cats return sporadically to the clan and eventually this mission is passed down through the generations to the tos and tng crews, who alternate between visiting the clans they’ve allied with (the cat federation, basically) and exploring new areas.

ds9 crew is also sent out to seek new life and new civilisations, but they decide to settles down somewhere away from their original clan ... there’s probably a plot here involving the cat version of the dominion war etc

voy crew is exploring when either : the ground collapses beneath them and they discover a labrynth of tunnels beneath the surface & tunnel-dwelling civilisations on their way home, orrrr you could have twolegs scoop them up at some point and take them to a shelter to be adopted & they have to make their way home (option 2 fits better with the “caretaker” plot but option 1 is more interesting to me personally)

im not sure how you’d fit the concept of starclan in here exactly. i DO know however that all the crews would interact w species other than cats. badgers, wolves, foxes, dogs, even prey animals like squirrels and birds etc. i feel like there would b a lot of moral dilemmas relating to their interactions w other species. is it immoral to hunt prey animals you can communicate w and see signs of intelligence from? especially if not hunting them means you starve? can you really trust a badger not to kill you? is healing an injured predator a good choice, seeing as they’ll likely attack u when they’re better? what makes a clan superior to another (& is believing one way of life is superior to another wrong)? idk really just spitballing here.

I don’t need and ID on the bug itself (I’m pretty sure it’s a palmetto weevil / Rhynchophorus cruentatus) but I was wondering if you could identify the pinkish lumps on its mouth area. there are a few between its head and body joint, and some on its butt area. From what i could tell from my own research, Palmetto Weevils don’t carry their eggs like that, so I’m assuming its a parasite of some sort. area is southeast Florida.

Yes, it’s a palmetto weevil. They’re phoretic mites, so they don’t feed on the beetle itself, but beetles with heavy mite loads tend to have shorter lifespans.
