jackson u!abby's strap bag would of course have a well annotated copy of 1984, a pair of ray-ban tortoiseshell glasses that are totally prescription but she tells people theyre reading glasses because she refuses to admit she wears contacts, TWO emergency fireball shooters (old habits die hard), nba youngboy debut album on tape, abby would not smoke weed but she would have those lavender smokes for anxiety, three pairs of boxers (one serious pair two fun and sexy pairs), the strap isnt in the bag because abby packs but she is a boxer harness truther. She is a dirty slut who supports the boxer harness but she also has the string harness because i told her it makes her butt look cute and plump and she never got over it. Never carries more than 100$ in cash because she is a debit truther but also keeps the daddys money credit cards on tap, makeup bag (wears artful mascara with a clump separator and clear brow gel, a lipgloss truther) TWO (2) sports but her boobs are kinda small anyway so sometimes she just lets her freak flag fly, her puppy tail buttplug because i said so, three pair of socks that will get lost the first night of the sneaky link, invictus legend her signature fragrance, two (2) gold chains, a chunky one and a thin one and my yankee fitted that she stole.
An unserious collab with @ellsbclls

jellicle lineups; part 1/4
Tumblr media
hi catsblur ! today i am presenting to you the fruits of my labor. my own little versions of the jellicle cats; obviously based on the replica designs With Fun Little Twists ! such as, they are not naked. ramble below the cut, both on designs and some personal thoughts on the characters
these designs are very much first-draft, subject to change, blah blah. you will very likely be seeing me drawing them differently if i post more of them. i just. urrbhhh. i had 2 draw them....
and the clothes ! even though they're very feline i draw them a bit too human-y for the nakedness to not look consistently weird. i will be drawing them closer to the stage designs in some instances but for rn. clothes. it was a fun exercise in character design too
the kittens are all young adults, think 18-20 ! as much as i love headcanons like demeter being sillabubs mother, it shrimply will not work out timeline-wise. so headcanons like that will be delegated to like... siblings and stuff
victoria | 🍧 💌 🩰
i started out with victoria's design not only because of her being the Main Kitten, but because she has such a concise and clear aesthetic to me. she actually started out with a simple pastel brown dance practice fit before i decided that i wanted to make the outfits ornate(ish) and ended up with a proper ballerina getup
i also quite like when victoria is not just solid white with some grey (love ones that are more yellow or brown) so i colored her fur with some blue and pink-ish tones not only to add more depth but to resemble the trans flag LOL
and i wanted to try something different with making her a bit more lavender than baby pink. i also based her overall look on obc victoria, portrayed by cynthia onrubia :^]
to move on to character interpretation, i think victoria is partially deaf and mute. she primarily communicates through dance. as one of the oldest kittens she'd be 19 in human years
plato | 💐 🕯 🍬
plato's design doesnt stray too far from his standard replica design but i tried to add my own flair . i tried to keep the creepy porcelain doll aesthetic going w their face added some more depth like some other designs with different colors and bold face stripes
i also really like the outfit i chose for them. the flower in their hair and on their shirt is a peony which is a popular wedding flower :") because im a sucker for platoria and very much subscribe to the idea that the ball we see is their funny cat wedding in a way
the outfit is based on standard ballerino costumes but i tried to stray from it with the silky half-skirt thing and pointe shoes. lets go queer cats lets go
i think plato is also very quiet and that's why he and victoria were so drawn to each other. i also quite like the idea that he was a bit of a troubled stray before he found the jellicles. they would be 20 in human years
electra |⚡🥭 🔔
boy i STRUGGLED with electra's clothes i struggled so hard. i think i'm happy with what i ended up with though—i originally gave her the babydoll dress that sillabub has (inspired by artsed electra) but figured that i wanted at least one of the girls to be more tomboyish/butchy. thank you to that one production which apparently had electra be one of the raffish crew and get in on some of the boys' choreography
im very happy with what i did with her fur colors as well. silly little tortoiseshell :] its based on a nonrep but i have no idea which one. enjoy her freckles too
i think electra deserves to be a little spunky. [whispers] i also think shes bombalurinas little sister. she'd be 18 in human years
etcetera | 🎠 🍯 🏅
i needed at least one cat with a circus aesthetic. say hello to my magnum opus: jacked tumbler acrobat etcetera. it was only a matter of time until someone said fuck it and let one of the girls perform lifts and stuff. this is mostly because ive always really liked how shes usually the cat to do the flying trapeze bit and wanted to push it further
i also struggled SO EXTREMELY HARD with making her colors look nice and makeup distinctive but i figured it out in the end—thank you obc cettie for the mismatched eyeshadow and such. i also wanted to give a cat a short bob type of head fur/hairstyle and she fit the bill
nothing much about specific character notes other than like... i want to make her related to some of the cats but cannot for the life of me figure out who 2 assign. also she'd be around 19 in human years, a couple months younger than vic
sillabub | 🌻 🧋 🎼
i think of all of these little fellas sillabub is my favorite. several elements are balanced in her design—the standard jemima with a darker/reddish palette, the more softer and lighter sillabub design, the red eye patch from il sistina jemima, and the overall aesthetic of obc jemima with the big hair and wide, deepset eyes
i've seen her typical design critiqued by some people and wanted to incorporate those critiques by making her look less similar to demeter/bombalurina, adding more red to her body fur, and making her makeup more distinct and less... wooo girl give us nothing. and i included the squiggly on her collarbone
i also really REALLY love her overall aesthetic of sweet kindhearted girl NAMED AFTER A DEMON WITH SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG COLORING AND GIGANTIC SPIKED COLLAR !!!! so i decided to push it by making the collar definitely too big for her, giving her a slightly "edgy" outfit and making her hair resemble devil horns
as for character stuff, i think she has magical powers though i haven't developed exactly What they are yet. beyond her sweet exterior they trouble her. [whispers] i also think shes demeters little sister. she would be 18 in human years, a few months younger than electra and tumblebrutus
pouncival | 🌱 🩹 🍵
i struggled with pouncival's clothing design like i did electra's because i didn't go into drawing him with a particular gimmick in mind. but i think i'm happy with the casual formal look. it makes him look like such a kind young man even if he's a little shit
i did have a lot of fun trying to make his makeup distinctive from tumblebrutus'—so many fellas with brown eyepatches ! so his colors are more dark and striking. i also tried to make him look less like Typical Cis Man by giving him a bit of black lipstick
enjoy his freckles too
but like. i think hes literally such a little cis guy. nothing else for me to add for my specific interpretation of him it's all laid out. this guy fucking loves rocket league, fishing and chess. he'd be 19 in human years
tumblebrutus | 🎡 🥊 🍦
SWEET TUMBLEBRUTUS. i think drawing him here gave me a soft spot for him. with his outfit mirroring cettie's i didn't much struggle with that. his colors are also based on obc tumblebrutus
when i was first conceptualizing my own versions of the cats i wanted at least one of them asides from grizabella to have wavy fur. and idk what it is, maybe it's the lack of content for him, but i was really drawn to the idea of curly tumblebrutus!
i wanted their design to be distinctive from pouncival's so i made their colors softer, kinda watercolor-y. OH AND THEIR FUR IS ALSO MEANT TO BE A LITTLE TRANS FLAG COLORED
as for character, i think he is also a bit troubled, as a son of grizabella's. you heard me, people. i'm probably the first person ever to headcanon that. he'd be 18 in human years
AND THAT'S ABOUT IT ! thank you for reading this far, have a great day and stay tuned for more designs in the days to come !

Ministry Perfume Associations
I’m back yet again with more thoughts about Ghost and perfume! This time it’s fragrances from my own collection that remind me of various places in my headcanon of the Ministry. (Usually these lists are mostly made up of perfumes that I don’t actually have, but this time I can vouch for all of these! I didn’t include any that I thought weren’t good.)
For the sake of organization these are divided into places in the New Wing (the most recent addition to the Ministry), the Old Wing (the original Ministry buildings), and the grounds (gardens, forests, etc). And as always, if you have your own thoughts or want me to do more of this, please let me know! I would love to talk more about Ghost and perfume.
(also: so sorry for the weird formatting, idk how to fix it on mobile but it should be fine on desktop)
New Wing:
Library: old books, wood, dust, paper, ink
The library is part of the New Wing of the Ministry, although it’s not very new anymore. Built in the early 1900s, the New Wing is all soaring ceilings, stained glass windows, and intricate woodworking, done in the Art Nouveau style of the time. The library’s floor-to-ceiling shelves are full of books ranging from ancient esoteric tomes to modern fiction paperbacks, interspersed with desks and secluded reading nooks. The library also houses the Ministry’s private collection of artifacts - some occasionally used for ritual purposes, some purely academic in nature. The library is always very still, with the occasional susurrus of turning pages and quiet voices. It smells like polished wood, faint dust, and the leather and paper of old books.
Library Ghost - Poesie
marshmallows, books, ink, polished wood
Myself Invisible - Poesie
stacked books, spilled ink, black tea, violets
Bibliotheca - Alkemia
leather-bound books, vintage vinyl records, mahogany, fountain pen ink, black tea, plum brandy
Canoodling in the Library - Nui Cobalt
old books, mahogany shelves, fallen leaves, ancient stone stairs, amber resin, warm skin musk, vetiver
Miskatonic University - Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab
irish coffee, dusty tomes, polished oakwood halls
Personal Quarters: carved wood furniture, tea and coffee, soft bedding, books and clutter, spices, vanilla
The personal quarters are also in the New Wing, separated into human quarters and ghoul quarters (for everyone’s comfort and safety). The personal quarters tend to feel very cozy and lived-in, as they are the rooms most frequently used. The furniture is comfortable, often occupied by off-duty siblings or ghouls, and the arch windows overlooking the gardens and forest cast soft beams of light onto the wood floors in the afternoon. The siblings’ quarters tend to smell like the possessions of those who occupy them - books, scented candles, tea and coffee, and faint spices from the small kitchen. The ghouls’ quarters are similar, but with the scents of various elements - smoke, greenery, damp stone, fresh air, resin.
Mysterious Fossils - Poesie
smoked black tea with creamy vanilla oat milk, a cashmere sweater, tortoiseshell glasses, a cedar chest containing fossils encased in amber, sandstone, and limestone
Whisper Your Bitter Things - Poesie
pressed coffee beans, dried clove bud and cassia bark, jasmine, neroli, roasted vanilla pods
Grey Cat - Nui Cobalt
smoked vanilla, marshmallows, fresh blueberries, lavender, earl grey tea
Kensington - Fantome
earl grey tea, cashmere, vanilla bean, cedar, rose petals, mandarin zest, pink peppercorn, bergamot
Ouija - Possets
cedar, rosewood, black vanilla, fat vanilla, rose, black silk, coriander
Our Days Bewitched - PULP Fragrance
walnuts, brandy, roasted cocoa beans, copal, cardamom, labdanum, black vanilla, aged oak barrels
Old Wing:
Chapel: resinous incense, polished wood, wine, smoke
The chapel is part of the Old Wing. The exact dates of its construction could probably be found somewhere in the Ministry’s records, but the gothic architecture suggests it’s been there for at least 500 years. The cold grandeur of the exterior’s intricate stonework and vibrant stained glass windows is matched in the chapel. It is perpetually cold, made fully of elaborately carved stone, and colorful sunlight filters through the enormous stained glass windows onto the altar and the pews. The heavy, still air smells like residual incense smoke, snuffled candles, fragrant wood, and ritual wine.
Holy Terror - Arcana Wildcraft
burning frankincense, sandalwood, myrrh, dusty beeswax candles
Anastasia the Patrician* - Deconstructing Eden
paper, ink, frankincense, myrrh, benzoin, copal, rose, juniper berries, wine
Leo* - Deconstructing Eden
frankincense, myrrh, benzoin, amber, liatrix, blood cedar, blond tobacco absolute, sweet spices, honey
Parlour - Fantome
mahogany, rosewood, burning incense, vetiver
*i think these were discontinued? sorry
Crypt: cold damp stone, smoke, dust, ashes
The crypt is the only place in the Ministry that truly reflects its age. It feels like it has been standing, underground, inhabited only by the dead, for hundreds of years. It’s well-maintained, but perpetually freezing cold and slightly damp. The stone walls are minimally decorated, and the candles in their niches do very little to illuminate the cavernous space. The air is weighty, and all sound is muffled. The crypt smells like damp stone, cold air, sweet dust, and smoke.
Gargoyle - Nui Cobalt
rain, lavender, cathedral incense, beeswax candles, ancient stone
Summoning/Ritual Chambers: cold stone, ritual incense, blood, wine, smoke
The ritual chambers are where summonings and rituals are performed. They are where every new ghoul comes into the world, and, more rarely, where they’re banished from it. The walls and floor are stone, and there are no windows. When in use, the chambers are lit by dozens of flickering candles, some in sconces, some piled onto tables, and years of melted wax have created puddles and formations on the walls and floor. The air is dense, thick with dust, herb smoke, ritual incense, and the scent of dried blood.
Baba Yaga - Fantome
black and red musk, smoke, cracked bones, cardamom, wood, animal skins, mugwort
Conjure - Solstice Scents
vanilla, amber, cedar, spices, cauldron smoke
Gothique - Alkemia
frankincense, styrax benzoin, myrrh, cassia, spikenard, canella, liquidambar orientalis, labdanum, atlas cedar, vetiver
A City on Fire - Imaginary Authors
cade oil, spikenard, cardamom, clearwood, dark berries, labdanum, a burnt match
Vassago - Fantome
A silver dagger, red wine, blackberries, cloves, orange peel, blood, a black mirror
Grounds:
Gardens: dirt, greenery, sun, fruit, flowers
The Ministry sits on a huge expanse of land. Most of it is still wild and forested, but there is a good amount of it dedicated to gardens, both decorative and functional.
Decorative Gardens:
The decorative gardens are lush and heavy with flowers and fresh greenery most of the year, tended to by the Earth ghouls. Some of them are small cloistered gardens, decorated with statues and fountains, and some are larger, intended for gatherings or wandering alone. The decorative gardens tend to smell like fragrant herbs and flowers - sweet jasmine and magnolia, heavy white lilies and heirloom roses.
Basilica - Milano Fragranze
thyme, rosemary, incense, milk, labdanum, cedarwood, cypriol oil
Fox in the Flowerbed - Imaginary Authors
jasmine, tulips, frankincense, wildflower honey, pink peppercorns, silver thistle, alpine air
Isabella - Possets
rose, light resin, white tea, honey, cream musk, spices
Olwyn - Fantome
magnolia blossoms, white lilies, jasmine, gardenia, buttery vanilla, myrrh, benzoin, orange blossom
Silver Narcissus - Possets
silver base, narcissus
Functional Gardens:
The functional gardens supply the flowers for decoration within the Ministry as well as the herbs and most of the produce for the kitchens. The gardens, orchards, and greenhouses are managed by the Earth ghouls, and yield so much produce that, despite the relatively small size of the gardens and the relatively large size of the Ministry, they still end up with extra. That surplus is sold at the local farmers’ market to unsuspecting humans who wonder in open amazement about the size and quality of this mysterious farm’s produce.
Sundrunk - Imaginary Authors
neroli, rhubarb, honeysuckle, rose water, orange zest
Drider Crossing Guard - Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab
dry, earthy fig, black pepper, nutmeg, black plum tea
Wilcox’s - Solstice Scents
dry woods, fresh herbs, dried herbs, warm spices, sweet annie, sage, rosewood
Lake: water, trees, evergreens, greenery, stone
The Ministry’s lake is very deep, cold, and still. It’s objectively beautiful, with its glassy blue-gray waters and lush vegetation, but something about it feels dangerous. The pebbled shores are visited only by the bravest siblings, and even then only on the hottest and most desperate of summer days. The water ghouls, on the other hand, love it (which is possibly why the siblings tend to stay away). It is located at the border between the new and old forests, and its mossy banks are surrounded by evergreens, ferns, and rushes. It smells green and a little salty.
Villa Diodati - Poesie
wild rosemary, balsam pine, crystal clear lakewater, dry, dark vanilla
Every Storm a Serenade - Imaginary Authors
danish spruce, eucalyptus, vetiver, calone, ambergris, baltic sea mist
The Forest: trees, dirt, damp air, greenery, wildflowers, fungi
New Forest:
The new forest is a nickname given to the shallow edges of the forest that are closest to the Ministry. The trees are widely spaced, and the ground is thickly carpeted with grasses and wildflowers. Sunlight filters easily through the sparse leaf canopy and illuminates the fallen logs and patches of moss that make popular spots for siblings and ghouls looking to unwind. The air is light, and the breeze carries with it the scent of fresh greenery, tree sap, and sweet flowers.
Cape Heartache - Imaginary Authors
douglas fir, pine resin, western hemlock, vanilla leaf, strawberry, old growth, mountain fog
Dendrophilia - Nui Cobalt
moss-covered deadfall, birchwood and pine, lingering resins, sunlight through the leaves, a trace of woodsmoke, faint vetiver and cedar
Duende - Fantome
oakmoss, cedar, fir, labdanum, benzoin, tree sap, wild violets, lilac
Solovey - Fantome
black amber, violets, black currants, espresso, labdanum, black agarwood, tobacco
Old Forest:
If you go far enough into the new forest, you will eventually get to the old forest. The trees are bigger and closer together, the sunlight struggles to reach the ground, and there are more mushrooms than flowers. The air is damp and cool and smells like fungus, loam, and rotting leaves. The old forest is avoided by siblings both because of the unsettling watched feeling any human who enters feels and the unspoken knowledge that if you don’t come back out no one will go looking for you.
Gaea - Alkemia
forest loam, ferns, decaying leaves, lichen, wet stones
Dies Irae - Possets
black musk, fog, bitter galbanum, hawthorn, rotting leaves, orris, smoky oude, frankincense, black amber
Feuillemort - Alkemia
dying leaves, smoked autumnal spices, dried grasses and fungi, Tibetan incense, cedarwood, rum soaked agarwood, and borneol
Samhain - Haus of Gloi
freshly turned earth, wet leaves, cold wind
if you made it this far 1) thank you lol and 2) i hope you enjoyed! if you have your own thoughts i would love to hear them!

LEAF REDESIGN!!! Bc the old one was old and sucky and I hate it
Low key obsessed with my new one,, she’s so pretty and Shaped
Design notes:
The flowers + fronds in her fur are respectively are pink azaleas (for passion, love, friendship and joviality), and ferns (for new life, family, secret love, magic, humility and sincerity).
Lots of tiny heart shapes across her design. At her chest, her muzzle, her tail, her right hind leg, left foreleg, right hip and left hind paw!
The only thing this lady got from her momma was her pale fur; she’s Round and Fluffy and Sweet, the prettiest kitty!!
Sectoral heterochromia; mostly green, with yellow flecks. (Bonus for the little heart in yellow!)
From my past Leaf designs, I kept her little behind-the-ear fronds; I’m not sure what to call them, but I really like them. They give her an air of being even softer, evenly as “augur” as “doctor”!
LGBT+ headcanon: Disaster poly-bisexual with a fem lean; genderfae (she/they pronouns).
[Image ID: A digital drawing of Leafpool, standing upright and left-facing, eyes heavy and away from the “camera”; the entire image is outlined in white. She is a somewhat stocky, fluffy, very rounded light cinnamon-brown marbled tabby cat with reddish-ginger tortoiseshell patches at the left side of her face, left muzzle spot, right shoulder, and along her legs and tail; she has a thick v-stripe across her throat, with a small heart-shaped patch at the dip; she has short, small, rounded ears; her tail is long, fluffy, and rounded, with heavy cream-colored patches all along it; more cream is spread across the right side of her face, her mane, her belly and along the back sides of her legs and paws. All across her pelt are small leaves and pink azalea petals; behind each of her ears are two long, fern fronds and pink azalea petals. Her eyes are somewhat rounded and mostly light green, with a flash of yellow-amber in her left eye; her lashes are dark red. Beneath her belly is her color palette, and beneath her paws is the word “LEAFPOOL” written in white all-caps. Across her chest and right shoulder is the stylized artist signature of “spottyissleepwalking” written in faded lavender. / End ID.]

Himalayan Cat
Introduction:
Himalayan: Siamese-colored domestic cat with Persian or longhaired physique and coat, combined with Siamese coloring. The Himalayan breed is created by marrying Siamese with longhairs, then carefully selecting the progeny to enhance their appropriate coat, color, and structure.
Tumblr media
What is a Himalayan cat?
The Himalayan is a long-haired cat breed or subbreed that resembles the Persian in type, except for its blue eyes and pointy coloring, which result from mating the Persian with the Siamese.
Himalayan cat overview:
Except for their stunning blue eyes and Siamese colorpoint markings, they are nearly identical to Persians. This indicates that their faces, ears, feet, and tails are darker than their creamy bodies. Adults weigh between 7 and 12 pounds and live between 9 and 15 years on average.
A Brief History of the Himalayan Cat:
However, most people agree that the breed originated at Harvard in the 1930s when researcher Clyde Keeler studied fusing Persian and Siamese features with the assistance of enthusiast Virginia Cobb. They called Newton's Debutante their first big hit.
1- Physical characteristics:
Medium-sized longhair cats make up the Himalayan subbreed. Aside from having Siamese colorpoint markings and dazzling blue eyes, they are nearly identical to Persians. This indicates they have creamy bodies with darker tails, ears, paws, and faces.
Appearance and color:
A medium-sized longhair cat subbreed is known as the Himalayan. Except for their stunning blue eyes and Siamese colorpoint markings, they are nearly identical to Persians. This indicates that their faces, ears, feet, and tails are darker than their creamy bodies.
Himalayan Cat Colors:
Close the point. The seal point coloring may be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Himalayan cats. Cocoa. Lilac, with points the color of milk chocolate, and the body color of a chocolate point Himalayan is ivory. Bluish, Flame/Red, bluish-cream, lilac-cream, Seal-tortie.
Seal Point Himalayan Cat:
The Seal Lynx Point Himalayan has light beige brown points that are flecked with dark brown tabby markings, making it the first color in the stripped pattern Lynx Point color palette. The skin tone ranges from pale cream to fawn. These cats have deep blue eyes and either a brick-red or seal-brown nose and paws.
Blue Point Himalayan Cat:
Being a diluted (or paler) variant of the seal point, the blue point is most closely related to it. Its body hair is bluish-white instead of beige or tan, and its tips are cold-toned, grey, or blue instead of dark brown or black. But as they age, their bodies become darker, just like the seal points.
Flame Point Himalayan Cat:
Though all the Himalayan mountains are breathtakingly stunning, the Flame Point Himalayan is unique. They feature the standard Himalayan's distinctive fluffy coat, but their paws, tail, ears, and mask are a bright, vivid color. They exude the same kind of serene personalities that make the Himalayas so popular.
Lilac Point Himalayan Cat:
The lavender point The Himalayan cat has stunning and unusual colors. They have grey-pink highlights on a purple-white background. You will see that the nose leather and paw pads of these cats have a lavender-pink color; nevertheless, the difference between their body color and point color is less noticeable.
Chocolate Point Himalayan Cat:
Himalayan cat information and personality traits The Himalayan cat is a charming feline that may be an active playmate or a calm friend. In general, this breed gets along with everyone. The Himalayan may give the impression of being rather gigantic because of her enormous bones and fur.
Grey Point Himalayan Cat:
The colors of Himalayan cats range from chocolate, tortoiseshell, black, brown, silver, golden, and cream to grey, blue, lilac, and cream.
Orange Himalayan Cat:
Compared to other cats, orange cats are perceived as being friendlier and more affectionate. Orange cats might be more prone to dangerous activities that end in fatalities. In rural areas, orange male cats could have a better social standing and have more success with reproduction.
White Himalayan Cat:
Himmies can be seen showing off a range of hues, although they usually have white or cream bodies with darker markings on their legs, face, ears, and tail. These accents, often called colored points, are available in chocolate, seal, lilac, blue, red, and cream hues.
Himalayan Cat Blue Eyes:
Except for their stunning blue eyes and Siamese colorpoint markings, they are nearly identical to Persians. This indicates that their faces, ears, feet, and tails are darker than their creamy bodies. Adults weigh between 7 and 12 pounds and live between 9 and 15 years on average.
Himalayan Cat Flat Face vs. Doll Face:
The Himalayan cat comes in two varieties: the doll face and the peke face. Both varieties have rounder heads, but the peke face has more compressed features than the doll face.
2- Comparing Breeds:
Tumblr media
Himalayan vs. other breeds:
Himalayan vs. Ragdoll:
Himalayans are smaller than Ragdolls in terms of size. Because of their thicker coats, they need more maintenance. They also have longer legs and stockier bodies than ragdolls, with flatter features.
Persian vs. Himalayan Cat:
A medium-sized longhair cat subbreed is known as the Himalayan. Except for their stunning blue eyes and Siamese colorpoint markings, they are nearly identical to Persians. This indicates that their faces, ears, feet, and tails are darker than their creamy bodies.
Himalaya vs. Siamese Cat:
Both breeds are renowned for their high intelligence and affectionate dispositions; nevertheless, Himalayan cats are calm and quiet, while Siamese cats are boisterous and energetic. Unbeknownst to many, Siamese cats were the ancestors of Himalayan cats, which accounts for some of the remarkable resemblances between the two breeds.
Himalayan vs. Maine Coon Cat:
Maine coons are big, have long coats, are gregarious, and are playful. whereas the Himalayan is calm, gentle, medium-coated, and short-haired.
Himalayan vs. Domestic Shorthair Cat:

An abundance of hues and designs

Low-maintenance shaving
3-Health and Lifespan:
Tumblr media
Common health issues:
Himalayan Cat Health Issues:
Because they have brachycephalic heads, Himalayans are more likely to experience respiratory issues, dental malocclusions, and ocular disorders like cherry eye. In addition, they are predisposed to feline hyperesthesia syndrome, a condition of the neurological system, and polycystic kidney disease (PKD).
Are Himalayan cats hypoallergenic?
Although they don't mind kids or other animals, Himalayan cats do want a calm home environment. They'll be content as long as nobody is pulling their ears or biting at their tail. Do they have low allergens? Himalayan cats do not shed lightly, nor are they hypoallergenic.
Common health problems in Himalayan cats:
Because of their breeding and genetic makeup, Himalayan cats are more likely to have specific health difficulties. The following list of typical health issues with Himalayan cats includes:
Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) is a hereditary condition that results in kidney cysts and ultimately renal failure. Breathing problems: Himalayans may have trouble breathing because of their flat faces, particularly in warm or muggy weather. Eye disorders: Because of their shallow eye sockets, they frequently experience corneal ulcers, conjunctivitis, and tear duct difficulties. Dental problems: Their narrow jaw and packed teeth can lead to gum disease, tooth decay, and overcrowding of teeth. Heat sensitivity: Because of their flat faces and thick coats, Himalayans are prone to overheating.
Lifespan and life expectancy:
Adults weigh between 7 and 12 pounds and live between 9 and 15 years on average. Though they prefer a calmer household, the Himalayas are calm and loving cats that make wonderful companions. In addition, the breed is known by the affectionate terms Himmies, Colorpoint Persians (in Europe), and Himalayan Persians.
How long do Himalayan cats live?
lifespan.  With proper care, Himalayan cats have a 10- to 15-year lifespan. The Himalayan cat is the perfect choice if you're seeking a companion who will stick by your side for many years. Adopting a Himalayan cat requires a unique level of dedication.
4- Grooming and care:
Grooming Needs:
Himalayan Cat Grooming Tips:
Given that Himalayan cats are renowned for having gorgeous, thick coats, frequent brushing is necessary to avoid matting and tangling. Some grooming advice for your Himalayan cat is as follows:
Regularly brush their coat. To get rid of tangles and mats, use a soft brush or comb made especially for cats with long hair.
Give them the odd bath. Himalayan cats don't require regular bathing, but when they do, give them a gentle shampoo and conditioner.
3. Wipe their face and eyes gently with a moist cloth to get rid of any stains and grime.
4. Trim their nails: Keeping your nails trimmed will help avoid overgrowth and injuries from scratches.
5. Look for hairballs: Himalayan cats tend to develop hairballs, so keep an eye on their grooming routine and, if necessary, try a hairball cure.
6. Groom their ears: To avoid infections and wax buildup, give their ears a weekly cleaning.
Groom Himalayans softly and patiently to avoid stressing them out. They can be sensitive animals.
Himalayan Cats Taddy Bear Cuts:
Despite their similar appearance, the Teddy Cut features a head trimmed into a charming little mane, a tail left long and fluffy, and hair left between 1/2 and 3/4 inches long overall. Even though the Lion Cut hair length is completely shaved to the skin, hair is still present!
Himalayan Cat Lion Cut:
As long as your cat is groomed by a trustworthy professional, lion cuts are usually safe for them. Before having your cat's hair cut in this way, there are a few things to think about: Verify that the individual using the clippers is skilled and knowledgeable.
Diet and Nutrition:
Give the kittens a food high in protein to aid in the development of healthy muscle mass. Even so, adult nutritional needs are still the same. To prevent them from developing hairballs, think about feeding them a diet enhanced with fiber.
The Best Food for Himalayan Cats:
The majority of commercial cat feeds will give your Himalayan cat the nourishment he needs, but premium food will assist in keeping him feeling and looking his best. Seek a cat food where the primary component is meat, not just a by-product of meat.
Dietary Needs and Restriction:
Cheese, milk, and more dairy items However, cats and dairy products don't go along. Since most cats are inherently lactose-intolerant, dairy products manufactured from cow's milk, such as cheese and cream, can irritate their stomachs and cause vomiting and diarrhea.
5- Adoption and breeding:
Tumblr media
Finding a Himalayan Cat:
Himalayan Cats for Adoption:
The Himalayan is a hybrid breed that is exactly like the Persian, but it is differentiated by the points on the cats' extremities (the feet, ears, tail, and face mask). This produces a Persian-type cat that has the Siamese-patterned cat's deep blue eyes and Persian-type coloring. The perfect Himalayan cat has superb bone and musculature, is well-balanced, and exudes strength and power.
Himalayan Cat Adoption Process:
While not always necessary, prior experience caring for Persians or Himalayans is preferred. A $275–$450 adoption fee is contingent on the amount of pre-adoption medical costs paid. Two personal and one veterinary reference. only houses indoors. No tendonectomies or declawing (some cats already had their claws cut off). nourishment, water, attention, proper grooming, and veterinarian care. alert if your cat gets lost. a pledge to give the cat back to us if the placement fails.
Himalayan Cat Breeders:
Except for its blue eyes and point coloring, which come from mating the Persian with the Siamese, the Himalayan is a breed or subbreed of long-haired cat that is similar in type to the Persian.
Cost and Pricing:
How much does a Himalayan cat cost?
The cost of a Himalayan cat can range from $500 to $2,500. If you're thinking about adopting a Himalayan cat, these animals can be had for less money from specialized purebred cat rescues than they would from a breeder.
Himalayan Ragdoll Cat Price?
Persians and Himalayan cats are big creatures with a broad range of sizes. However, a "good"-sized Persian weighs between 10 and 12 pounds (~5 and 6 kg). Up to roughly 15 lbs (7 kg), a "good"-sized Ragdoll will be slightly larger but still fall within the same range. While neutered cats often grow larger, girls are always smaller. November 27, 2021.
Factors Affecting Himalayan Cat Cost:
Depending on the breed, male and female cats can have different prices, with rare or purebred cats being significantly more expensive. You'll need to set aside money for toys, scratching posts, and other things to keep your cat happy, in addition to its food and health requirements.
6- Behavior and temperament:
Personality Trait:
This breed is a bit more active than Persians and slightly less active than Siamese. It is calm, peaceful, and sweet-tempered. In addition to playing, they take pleasure in warming laps. Himalayans are courteous and clever people, especially when they are hosting guests.
Himalayan Cat Temperament:
Except for its blue eyes and point coloring, which come from mating the Persian with the Siamese, the Himalayan is a breed or subbreed of long-haired cat that is similar in type to the Persian.
Are Himalayan cats aggressive?
The Persian breed now includes Himalayans as a color group. Although there are differences in temperaments among breeds, generally speaking, they are peaceful, quiet, and kind, and they get along well with other pets. Again, they aren't inclined to be destructive or jump excessively high onto objects, with rare exceptions.
Behavioral characteristics of Himalayan cats.
The Himalayas are quite enjoyable. They are loyal, kind, and intelligent. Himmies view their pet parent's lap as a small slice of heaven, and although they can be left alone for extended periods if they must work, a Himalayan will not hesitate to alert them to their maltreatment.

 7- Special Variations and Traits:
Unique Himalayan Cats:
A medium-sized longhair cat subbreed is known as the Himalayan. Except for their stunning blue eyes and Siamese colorpoint markings, they are nearly identical to Persians. This indicates that their faces, ears, feet, and tails are darker than their creamy bodies.
Munchkin Cat, Himalayan:
The Munchkin is a curious, clever, sociable, and playful cat that is similar to any other domestic cat in other ways. They may like handling and lap time more than some other cats, but they are also eager to practice their feline hunting behavior by chasing and hunting toys when they get the chance.
Himalayan Persian Cat Mix:
A medium-sized longhair cat subbreed is known as the Himalayan. Except for their stunning blue eyes and Siamese colorpoint markings, they are nearly identical to Persians. This indicates that their faces, ears, feet, and tails are darker than their creamy bodies.
Himalayan Siamese Cat Mix:
Himalayan cats are descended from Persian and Siamese crosses; they have a Persian-like body form but have Siamese markings and piercing blue eyes that are characteristic of the oriental breed.
Color Variations and Traits:
The coat comes in seal, tortie, seal point, and blue point colors and is long and silky with a dense undercoat. Like Siamese cats, Himalayan cats have long fur similar to that of Persian cats, along with extremely distinctive points around their face, ears, paws, and tails. The Himalayans are incredibly smart, kind, and kind. Known as lap cats, they are laid-back, serene, and don't talk much. They get along best with other animals if they are exposed to them when they are young, and they may thrive in flats and other compact areas.
Calico, Himalayan Cat:
A calico cat can be any domestic cat breed with a tri-color coat, usually black, orange, and white. They are not limited to any particular breed. Up to 25–75% of their fur may be white.
Tortoiseshell Himalayan Cat:
The coat is long, fluffy, finely textured, and thick. The points come in a variety of solid colors or patterns, like tortoiseshell or tabby, but the body is either white or cream in hue. The most common Himalayan looks are flame points and tortoiseshell points.
Tortie Himalayan Cat:
The Tortie Point Himalayan is characterized by a body of pale fawn to creamy white with seal brown points with areas of cream or red.
8- Training and socialization:
The Himalayan cat is a laid-back breed that gets along best with children and other pets if introduced to them early on. Give your kitten nutritious food to start with and lots of opportunities for play and exercise.
Training Tips:
Training Himalayan Cats:
Himalayan cats are intelligent and teachable with enough time, effort, and encouragement. Here are some pointers for training:
Litter box training: To establish a bond, put them in the litter box following meals or playing. Acknowledge and honor effective usage.
Scratching post-training: Use treats or catnip to incentivize scratching on a post. Reward desirable conduct.
Basic commands: Use incentives and praise to help teach the behaviors "sit," "stay," "come," and "leave it.".
Socialization: To help them become calm and confident, expose them to different situations, people, and experiences.
Clicker training: Mark desired behavior with a clicker and give goodies as a reward.
Reward minor accomplishments and set reasonable goals. The Himalayas can be obstinate, so use patience and consistency.
Socializing Himalayan Cats with Other Pets:
Himalayan cats may coexist peacefully with other cats and subdued dogs if they are introduced and raised appropriately. They most likely won't take pleasure in hanging out with hyperactive pups or lively senior canines. If your Himalayan lives in a home with other pets, particularly dogs, make sure they have a peaceful area to retreat to.
Play and Enrichment:
With the coloring of a Siamese and the face and body of a Persian, the Himalayan is a gentle giant. In addition to enjoying peaceful time and cuddling with their owners, these long-haired beauties are friendly, reasonably calm cats that also enjoy playing games like hitting a crumpled piece of paper or batting around a ball.
Enrichment Activities for Himalayan Cats:
Give your cat many spots to climb, perch, hide, and scratch. Make sure some options vary in size, shape, color, and texture to keep your cat from growing bored. Make sure there are plenty of supplies available as well. For example, multi-level homes should have many litter boxes and scratching posts.
9- Ethical Consideration:
The Himalayan coat needs care daily. To prevent the coat from becoming tangled, she needs to be combed and brushed. Furthermore, the flat face needs to be washed carefully because tears might leave stains on it.
Responsible Breeding and Adoption:
Himalayan cats are renowned for being kind and loving. They may make fantastic family pets, and they are usually well-behaved with kids. Although each breed is unique, in general, Himalayans are gregarious, amiable, and seek out human company.
Ethical Breeding Practices for Himalayan Cats:
Ethical breeding means more than prioritizing the health and well-being of the parents and their offspring. It also includes the necessity of breed maintenance, ensuring the breed stays loyal to its roots, all while preserving a moral code of ethics.
Adoption vs. Buying: Making the Right Choice
buying a pet. Getting a new pet could seem like an easy decision, but there is one key path you need to select: adopting a pet or buying a pet from a breeder. While there are perks to both adopting and buying an animal, adopting is a much more ethical approach to welcoming a new pet into your house.
Rescue and Rehabilitation:
These cats like a quiet atmosphere and can be shy. If you have kids, know that Himmies dislike roughhousing but enjoy being petted and stroked by them. Some will even allow youngsters to drive them around in buggies. They are shy among houseguests and detest loud noises.
Himalayan Cat Rescue Organization:
HART Foundation The goal of the Himalayan Animal Rescue Trust (HART) since 2010 has been to establish a community that is free of rabies and healthy for both people and animals. They have vaccinated over 45,000 animals against rabies and neutered over 37,700 dogs and cats to manage their numbers humanely.
How to Help a Himalayan Cat in Need:
Ignore inappropriate conduct. Although it will be difficult, this is the most crucial step in stopping attention-seeking behavior. Steer clear of physical punishment. Observe your cat performing a task correctly. Maintain a regular daily routine. Offer enrichment in the environment.
10- Fun Facts and Unique Features:
Interesting Traits:
Himalayan Cat Wide-Eyed Look:
A cat's focused gaze may indicate worry or stress in certain situations. Your cat can be terrified or intimidated if they are staring at you with wide eyes and a stiff posture.
Himalayan Cat Flower:
It is reported that the Himalayan Monkey Flower only blooms once every 20 years. All of them were intelligent little primates. The world is incredibly big and full of marvels.
Blaze the Cat Himalayas:
Limitations. Perhaps Blaze's biggest flaw is that she has a mild case of acrophobia, which makes her uneasy in high places. Blaze's short fuse also causes her to make snap judgments.
Unique traits for Himalayan cats:
The Himalayas are quite enjoyable. They are loyal, kind, and intelligent. Himmies view their pet parent's lap as a small slice of heaven, and although they can be left alone for extended periods if they must work, a Himalayan will not hesitate to alert you to their maltreatment.
Why might a Himalayan cat be the right choice for you?
The breed of Himalayan cats is kind and affectionate. Some groups claim that this contentious breed isn't even a separate breed. Some people compare the Himalayan cat, also known as the Colorpoint Persian, to a Persian cat dressed in Siamese garb. Either way, it's difficult to overlook this kind of friendly, charming, and adorable dog.

some of my clangen cats! rainfoot was duststar's deputy before retiring, and brindlelake was a medicine cat - for a very long time too. duskheart was in the medicine den all the time, especially when he was younger x_x (one of his traits is troublesome though so like. maybe that's why lol)
lightsmoke and wetwhisker were mates, but then lightsmoke died and wetwhisker eventually moved on and found logtail, and they became mates. then they and a bunch of my other cats (including ficklepatch) got murdered in a big battle </3
there's still quite a few more cats i'd like to draw, we'll see if i end up getting around to it.
[id: art of several different warrior cat ocs, who are arranged into two rows. in the first row there is duststar (they/them), a cream-and-brown tortoiseshell and rainfoot (he/him), who is an orange tortoiseshell with black patches. duststar is laying down and rainfoot is sitting next to them, and they're looking at each other, smiling slightly. there is brindlelake (he/him), who is white and brown with a heart-shaped marking on his side. he's wearing a lavender flower on his head. and he's sitting back on his haunches slightly. there is ficklepatch (she/her), a cream-colored cat with a white chest and tail-tip, and sapdapple (she/her), who is a spotted blue-gray and is wearing a green ribbon collar. ficklepatch and sapdapple are bumping their heads together, smiling.
in the second row there's logtail (she/her), a fluffy bengal, and wetwhisker (he/him), a brown ticked tabby with a scarred tail and shoulder, wearing some holly berries on his ear. they're looking at each other, blushing slightly. there is lightsmoke (he/him), a fluffy brown smoke, who is sitting down with a paw slightly lifted, looking toward wetwhisker with a sad smile. finally there is duskheart (he/him), a fluffy light brown smoke, sitting with one leg sticking out, mischeviously rubbing his chin with a front paw. end id]

this is such a fun idea oooo
I'm glad you're enjoying it~ 82 - uncommon! *throws sparkles over your kitty*
Inkstain (she/they/ink) is a medium-furred black-and-violet tortoiseshell molly with pink eyes. Her dark fur almost appears solid until you see it in bright light or by moonlight, where the violet hues that brindle her coat shine. Pale lavenders mark their stomach fur and chin, as well as the very tip of their tail. Some lighter purples join the brindling in small patches. Her eyes are pale pink with lavender rings around the iris. Ink has long, white whiskers and a thick ruff of fur around ink's neck.
A sociable cat, Inkstain doesn't find it hard to make new friends. She's a generally optimistic and bright cat and while she loves a good laugh, her humor is polite, never poking at others. Ink is clever, sometimes too clever for her own good, and they are particularly good at sniffing out a cat's bad intentions by the minutiae of their actions. Inkstain can be indecisive and doesn't like taking sides, often staying neutral even to the detriment of herself and others.
(I intended for her to be a loner, but Inkstain can be a warrior's name or an outsider name, it works for both!)
