QTime, Cat Robots & 2 Studio Ghibli Movies

With the wind rustling the trees, a faint hint of the bouquet from the honeysuckle on the air, the moon moved from behind the cloud. It was hard to accept that this was still the same group that everyone knew and liked (loved is suck a strong word and with Buck involved we might be stretching it a bit). The utter shock of it all is beyond belief; we are almost at that time folks. Yes, we really are almost at the 2 year mark. Tell your friends that like Keith Richards we have refused to stop going, like an aging rock band we are here once again. The Nerds are back!

First up this week we have a segment about QTIME, what is that you ask? Well it is an amazing device to help when gaming is more important than life, but you still have to pay the bills. It is awesome for those parents that want to guide their dirt urchins out into the wide blue yonder and do their chores around the house. It is also the perfect way to destroy a room full of sports fans. Want to know exactly what this miracle device is, listen in and hear the Professor tell us about it and Buck hatch evil ideas.

Now there are restaurants that have monkey waiters, cafes where you can cuddle a cat or puppy, there are even sushi bars with trains. Now we give you Cat Robots! Yes folks it is that time of year when the biggest collection of Nerds and Geeks gather. It is the CES once again and Buck has found that there are Cat Robots, also a super important and special bot for those times when you stuck needing a roll of paper. This is important and we invite you to tell us your favourite exhibit at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) we only discuss a couple, there are some many things it would require a special episode of its own.

Next up we have DJ telling us about the news that Studio Ghibli are planning to release 2 new movies. The special part of this is we have an expected release date of….Listen in and find out when. Also we discuss what the movies theme is going to be. We don’t want to spoil it for you and tell you everything now, but we are sure you will enjoy it as much as we do. Paul Young's career remains another case of an 80's superstar who struggled afterwards, though I keep asking myself why. Sure, No Parlez, his debut, might be one of the most 80's records possible, every sonic cliche you know about the era can be found there, yet his voice rises above his peers'. Additionally, his vocals manage to complement the backing, they don't overwhelm his session musicians, they work together to achieve the soul pop sound of the period. Listen to the tune to hear what I mean. While he could go over the top with his singing, the lyrics seem to call for that, he puts his chanting in a way to collaborate with the sonic landscapes by Mr. Palladino and Mr. Kewley. Yes, Mr. Young's quite subtle for a balladeer.

Quantos homens inocentes vamos ver enviados para o deserto antes de reconhecermos que o problema da violência doméstica da nossa nação não é – e não deve ser – culpa de um único indivíduo?

Nas últimas semanas não demonstraram progressos impressionantes para combater a violência doméstica – ou ter debate calmo. Pelo contrário, são a afirmação triste de como frenética e perigosamente controlar o movimento feminista moderno está se tornando. A caçada – e indo na direção errada.

Aqueles que não são feministas ferozes quer unidade e igualdade entre os sexos – não a guerra indignado. A violência doméstica é um grave problema desafiador rife em execução. As estatísticas são bem conhecidos, mas a nossa estratégia para lidar com esses dados é assumir a liderança feminista histérica ao invés de acção ainda urgente a calma.

A verdade é que nós podemos discordar dos temas da agenda feminista e ainda estar unidos em nossa luta contra a violência doméstica. O objetivo pacífico da campanha do Laço Branco pode muito bem ser o nosso objectivo partilhado comuns, mas mensagens antagônica está a revelar prejudicial para a causa.

A violência doméstica não é um problema masculino – é problema da sociedade.

Se as feministas tenta se tornar o rosto da nossa luta nacional contra a violência doméstica, nós nunca veremos uma resolução – e isso me faz sentir mal ao meu núcleo.

Estamos em tal crescendo nos encontramos presos em um ciclo vicioso frustrante onde os homens inocentes são repetidamente sendo pendurada para secar. É perda de tempo, queima energia e testes de paciência.

Um painel de TV teatral pode ganhar mais audiência do que produtiva, a discussão esclarecedora, mas o último poderia confirmar que são aliados em nossa missão de importância vital.

Steve Price não é mais a culpa para o problema da violência doméstica da Austrália do que Eddie McGuire. “Aquele que é punido não é que executou a ação. Ele é sempre o bode expiatório”, como disse Friedrich Nietzsche.

Eu sou uma mulher que tem sido em relacionamentos abusivos. I foi mais ofendido com a entrega de Sam Newman de comentários de Eddie McGuire porque eu tenho experiência de vida diferente e desencadeia a outra pessoa.

Nós não todos swot sobre os mesmos períodos de história, antropologia, política e filosofia. Não todos usam as mesmas palavras ou se comunicar em um estilo clonado; nós somos todos únicos. A tentativa de abafar os muitos que são diferentes de você não garantir progresso ou unidade.

O Steve Price contra o concurso de Van Badham foi uma exibição angustiante do feminismo fazendo mais mal do que bem. “Femsplaining” não é melhor do que “mansplaining”; ambos são palavras imaginárias que procuram apenas para aprofundar a divisão entre os sexos. Cathy jovem estava no local quando ela escreveu: “feministas tratar os homens mal e isso é ruim para o feminismo”.

Se uma feminista não pode ter uma conversa razoável sem tentar marcar pontos e descendo para referenciar seus ovários, eu não quero uma feminista representando mim.

Van Badham era frenética, agitado, histérica, turbulenta, fervendo – chame do que quiser, mas se você escolher a palavra “histérico” você não merece carregar o peso do problema de violência doméstica de uma nação em seus ombros.

Nossa batalha contra a violência doméstica é muito crítico nos perder em um labirinto fantasia de língua aceitável. A sociedade não é uma sala de aula de crianças estudando para um concurso de soletração.

Curiosamente, a palavra “histérico” tem sido usado repetidamente esta semana quando se discute a reação aos comentários de Sonia Kruger sobre a imigração. Aparentemente, é apenas um problema quando Steve Price usa a palavra porque as feministas já teve um problema com ele.

apresentador de rádio Meshel Laurie, sem dúvida, tinha boas intenções quando se discute os comentários de Kruger, mas puramente derrama gasolina sobre o fogo para perguntar: “Será que devemos fechar as fronteiras da Austrália para homens australianos? Porque eles assassinar em média uma mulher por semana. ”

Você entra em uma festa em casa, vê-lo já está fora de controle e agitar uma garrafa de tequila e um saco de fogos de artifício?

O movimento feminista pode sentir como eles ganharam assumir Mark Latham, Eddie McGuire e Steve Price, mas muitos discordam. Vemos um tema recorrente e agenda transparente.

Talvez aqueles que organizaram a caça são muito míope para ver as pessoas estão virando as costas e indo embora em massa, unsupportive deste plano sourly tendenciosa. Você não pode lutar pelo fim da violência doméstica, empurrando mais uma agenda sexista do que você pode alcançar a igualdade por bashing masculino.

O respeito pode ser o cerne da luta contra a violência doméstica, mas é demasiado simplista para implicar que está sozinho. Insegurança, ego, má comunicação, crença equivocada de que as relações tóxicas pode ter um final feliz, álcool e abuso de substâncias, problemas de gerência da raiva – estes são os tópicos tecidas na tapeçaria complexa de DV.

No entanto, estes estão sendo silenciados porque o feminismo lançou um show de um homem só e são hellbent em um desempenho histérica.

Somos mais fortes se unirmos nossos esforços e energia.

Estamos mais poderoso se todos nós enfrentar a violência doméstica juntos.

2016 marked a milestone achievement: Bloomberg Media’s ad sales group was honored with 66 industry awards for the year – more than doubling the total for 2015. Congratulations to our highly talented colleagues, who earned accolades in global markets from the U.S. to Europe to Asia!

Just as impressive as the total is the fact that our teams were recognized for an incredibly diverse set of contributions, from creating superior brand content to delivering seamless ad operations to personifying leadership in media.

That’s a testament to the collaborative teamwork that infuses our organization’s efforts; we all win when we work and grow together. Bloomberg Media’s top leaders set the example for that practice, and it shows: Bloomberg Media Global Chief Revenue Officer Keith A. Grossman was named to the prestigious Adweek 50, which honors “the most indispensable executives in marketing, media and tech.”

In addition, Grossman, Bloomberg Media CEO Justin B. Smith and Bloomberg Media COO Jacki Kelley and were all named to the Folio: 100 list, which recognizes leaders catalyzing change across companies and industries - and Kelley was further honored with a Muse Award from New York Women in Film and Television and as an Entrepreneur by Folio’s Top Women in Media Awards, adding to her already distinguished resume as a visionary leader in our industry.

Four stellar members of the sales team – Ellen Bennett, Courtney Carroll, Michele Chicoine and Lauri Niedermaier – were named Folio Rising Stars, while Ben Katz was awarded Folio: 30 Under 30 recognition. Rob Huckin earned Drum Online Media Awards’ Sales Individual of the Year accolade in June.
