Hello! Hello! Hello!

I'm back at it again! I'm in search for another role play partner.

Let me tell y'all a little bit about myself. My name is Laura (she/her) and I'm 21 years old. My time zone is MST. This spring I will be going into my last semester of college. I work a part time job and I'm probably going to be looking for another one, because rent is expensive. Long story short: I'm a very busy gal! Because of that my love of writing got pushed to the back burner. However I'm determined to turn that around and actually engage in my favorite hobby.

When it comes to my writing, I've been doing it since I was a kid. However I've been role-playing off and on for roughly 8 years. I consider myself to be semi lit, a standard replying ranging from 500-1,200 words. I lean more towards the latter, however am willing to match my partner. I only write with people that are 18+. I do this since I'm an adult and do not feel comfortable writing NSFW topics with underaged people. (That being said I do not generally write smut but like to write about other NSFW topics) As stated above I'm very busy so I can't guarantee a response super quickly. My response time can range from a few days to a few weeks. If that is a deal breaker I deeply apologize. I do try to supplement that with things like moodboards, playlists, tiktoks, memes and general OOC chat!

What I'm looking to role-playing! I'm looking for either Fandom oc x Canon or an Original Plot oc x oc. It is a requirement of mine to double. You play my love interest for me and I'll play your love interest for you. This is non negotiable. I write with mxf or fxf relationships.

Original ideas:

These are going to be very abridged ideas for two reasons: 1. To help bring this already very long ad to an end and 2. It gives us an opportunity to build upon the idea and add to it!

Character A has to return to their home town after a series of unfortunate events that ended with their father dying. When they returns home they reconnects with Character B, their ex. But what happens when their mutual friends dig up secrets about their seemingly quiet town that threatens to put everyone they love in danger. And there is only one thing on A's mind: what if their father's death wasn't natural causes like everyone claimed.

Character A is a trouble maker who was taken in by their dismissive aunt and uncle. A now has to work in the sleepy town where nothing ever happens. That is until they meet Character B, a shinning star in the town. What happens when B's best friend is found mysteriously dead after being missing for a few days and everyone beings to turn against each other attempting to solve the murder.

Character A is a struggling ambitious artist, working in a little town. They paint murals, and sculpt anything to make ends meat. However they have big dreams of going to art school. Character B is a bartender with a carefree attitude and a love for music. The two meet one day at work and really hit it off. But can A risk having a relationship when they know they are going to be going away to school soon?

The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) Announces 2017 Jazz Winners

Judges Include Billy Cobham, Lonnie Liston-Smith, Danilo Perez, John Burk (President, Concord Label Group), And More

April 19, 2018 -- The International Songwriting Competition (ISC), widely recognized as the most prestigious and respected songwriting competition in the world, is pleased to announce its 2017 winners. Created in 2002, ISC received more than 16,000 entries from almost 140 countries. Total prizes include more than $175,000 in cash and merchandise, including a Grand Prize consisting of $25,000 in cash (USD) and over $35,000 in additional prizes.

The Grand Prize winners this year are Nicholas Miller (better known as Illenium), Annika Wells, Kate Morgan, and Michael Biancaniello for the EDM song “Crawl Outta Love Ft. Annika Wells."

Taking home First Place in the Jazz category is Hiroe Sekine (Kiryushi, Gumma, Japan) for the song “Nippon Barre.” Second Place is awarded to Hayley Lam (New York, NY, USA) for “The Unknown Bell II,” and Third Place goes to Mads Mathias (Copenhagen, Denmark) for “I’m All Ears.”

“The winners reflect a wide range of styles within the jazz idiom, “ says Candace Avery, ISC Founder and Director. “However, the common thread in the winners is the depth of songwriting talent displayed. They are extraordinarily accomplished, and we are proud to honor them and celebrate their artistry.”

ISC winners hail from all over the world (61% of this year’s winners come from outside the USA) and range from talented amateurs to seasoned songwriting veterans. The 23 categories include all genres of contemporary music, from Jazz to EDM to Rock to Pop to R&B/Hip-Hop and more.

First Place

“Nippon Barre” – Hiroe Sekine – (Kiryushi, Gumma, Japan)

Hiroe Sekine, an accomplished jazz pianist, vocalist, composer, and arranger, studied at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music and has performed at many venues, including the highly prestigious Jazz Concert Series at Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Her debut album, a-mé (rain), was released in 2010 and was selected one of the best 25 jazz albums of the year by the prestigious “All About Jazz”. Her most recent album, “One World One Sun,” was released by Sony Music Direct in 2017. The New York-based Aquarian Weekly magazine chose this album as the best Worldbeat CD of 2017. More recently, nationwide Japanese FM station J-WAVE adopted Hiroe’s arrangements for their station jingle for use on air.

“The Unknown Bell II” – Hayley Lam – New York, NY, USA

Hayley Lam is an award-winning composer who specializes in both contemporary jazz and classical music. She began her studies in music at a very young age, earning her Associate Diploma, ATCL Recital Piano from the Trinity College of London when she was just eleven. She then proceeded to earn her Licentiate Diploma, LTCL Recital Piano and Associate Diploma, ATCL Recital Violin a couple of years later. With a profound interest in contemporary and jazz music, she was awarded a scholarship to further her studies at Berklee College of Music.

With her musicianship compared to as "Stravinsky meets Brookmeyer," she was selected as the Finalist at the Seattle Women's Jazz Orchestra (SWOJO) Annual Jazz Composition Contest for Women Composer in 2016. She is also the Global Music Awards (GMA) bronze winner in the Composer and Jazz Big Band category. In 2017, her piano solo work won the Contemporary Piano International Composition Competition held at Athens. She was also selected as the composer showcase winner of the International Jazz Conference JEN at New Orleans. Her other accomplishments include 2018 The American Prize in Composition, 2018 KMEA Composition Competition Winner, 2018 Semi finalist of Maurice Ravel Composition Competition, and many more.

Mads Mathias is a singer, saxophonist, and composer who was brought up partly in Tanzania and partly in Denmark in a home with 46 musical instruments that he explored from an early age. He began concentrating on playing the piano at the age of seven and saxophone from the age of 11. He played his first gigs as a saxophonist and singer at the age of 14. He later attended the Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, from which he graduated. Since then, he has toured with different bands, among them his own band, Six City Stompers. His album, Free Falling, won him a Danish Music Award for Best New Danish Jazz Artist of the Year.

A la quinta va la vencida. Eso es lo que debió pensar Michael Bay, director de la franquicia de «Transformers» desde el comienzo. «Con cinco ya es suficiente», declaró el creador de «Dos policías rebeldes» y su posterior secuela, cuando le preguntaron si volvería a estar detrás de la cámara una vez más. Él resopló aliviado «pues he pasado diez años de mi vida dedicados a esta saga y ya ha llegado el momento de cambiar y dejarlo, sobre todo cuando estás arriba. He disfrutado con estos rodajes. Con cada nueva película de la saga me he jurado que sería la última. Pero ver los 120 millones de fans alrededor del mundo que acuden al cine para verlas, las enormes atracciones que se construyen basadas en ellas y todos esos niños que me visitan en el set de rodaje gracias a iniciativas como “Pide un deseo”, me impedían retirarme sin rodar una nueva cinta… Esta película ha sido especialmente divertida. Pero, de verdad, que ésta va a ser la última. Así que voy a poner toda la carne en el asador». La carne y los fuegos artificiales.

Y es que Michael Bay es uno de las directores de Hollywood más agresivos de las últimas dos décadas en lo que a efectos especiales y explosiones se refiere, es una de las marcas que caracterizan sus trabajos, incluso los más íntimos, los que pretenden alejarse de las grandes superproducciones, como es el caso de «Trece horas: los soldados secretos de Bengasi», basada en un acontecimiento real. Pero es que él, además, presume de haber logrado las explosiones más estruendosas que uno pueda ver en la gran pantalla.

De hecho, en Estados Unidos su característico estilo tan desmesurado ha dejado huella y son cientos de miles los seguidores que acuden fielmente a las salas cada vez que estrena una nueva entrega de «Transformers». En China, incluso, le han bautizado como «bombbay», en un divertido juego con su apellido, para definir su manera de filmar. Quienes han trabajado con él y le conocen de una manera más cercana aseguran que es un hombre controvertido, que posee una increíble confianza en sí mismo y una seguridad a prueba de bombas. Le apasionan los animales y pasó un duro trance cuando su perro «Bonecrusher» falleció durante el rodaje de esta quinta entrega. Pero ¿qué es lo más importante para Michael Bay como director de cine? Y al responder clava la mirada para dar una respuesta clara sin un solo rodeo: «La audiencia, por supuesto».

El juez de su obra

Poco le importan las duras críticas que han recibido la mayoría de sus filmes. Para él, el público, tanto americano como internacional, es el verdadero juez de su obra y, también, significa su prioridad. Así ha sido desde que dirigiera «Dos policías rebeldes» en 1995, que aprovechaba el tirón del actor Will Smith, aunque de esos hace ya más de veinte años.

Bay ha alternado las cuatro entregas de «Transformers» con la dirección de «Dolor y dinero», comedia de mediano presupuesto protagonizada por Mark Wahlberg y Dwayne Johnson, y la ya mencionada «Trece horas: los soldados secretos de Bengasi», un drama militar basado en lo que acaeció en aquella ciudad libia en octubre de 2015.

Según ha confesado, la principal razón por la que se decidió a rodar este quinto (y último capítulo) fue porque tenía doce guionistas disponibles para crear de nuevo un universo Transformer. La cuestión era decidirse por uno. O quizá tomar elementos de varios. Fue finalmente Spielberg (que tiene aún los derechos de Hasbro) junto con Bay quien decidió fusionar los dos textos que más les gustaron y rodar el filme que el director califica como «el más profundo de toda la saga, cargado de aventuras y que cuenta con dos heroínas de gran peso». El filme está diseñado para que cualquiera que desee tomar las riendas de la franquicia de ahora en adelante pueda hacerlo con relativa facilidad.

El consejero delegado de Hasbro, la empresa juguetera creadora del concepto Transformers –es decir, de los muñecos que cautivaron la imaginación de los más pequeños antes de que se adaptaran sus aventuras a la gran pantalla–, desveló en mayo en una entrevista para «The Hollywood Reporter» que la compañía tiene previstas más secuelas: hay confirmada una séptima cuyo estreno está previsto en diciembre de 2019 y un «spin-off» protagonizado por Bumblebee para el año que viene. Eso sí, sin Bay detrás de las cámaras. Pero este programa puede cambiar debido a los resultado que ha obtenido en taquilla. El director ha cosechado con esta secuela un verdadero «Armageddon» (otro de sus filmes míticos). De hecho, ha repetido el fracaso que ya tuvo con la ambiciosa «Pearl Harbor», un chasco memorable, a pesar de contar con una amplio repertorio de caras conocidas.

De momento, el californiano ha confirmado que deja el universo de estas cintas. Ya lo publicó el pasado febrero, en su página web, en un comunicado en el que se despedía definitivamente de la saga, pero, esta vez, remarcando que era una decisión irrevocable y lo hace con un filme en el que la batalla parece definitiva. Dos mundos que se enfrentan por la supervivencia y que tienen como escenario la Tierra. «Unir la mitología de los humanos a la de los Transformers […] rompe con todo lo que habíamos estado haciendo antes», ha explicado Lorenzo di Bonaventura, productor del filme. «Creo que nos ha permitido explorar las cosas que probablemente solo habíamos tratado por encima: la idea del honor, la idea de la lealtad…», añade.

La cinta está protagonizada de nuevo por Mark Wahlberg, que se estrenó en «Transformers: la era de la extinción» (2014) y que tomó el relevo a Shia LaBeuf. En esta ocasión le acompañan Josh Duhamel, Jerrod Carmichael e Isabela Moner. En esta entrega se redefine lo que significa ser un héroe. Los humanos y los transformers están en guerra pero, esta vez, Optimus Prime ya no está. La clave para salvar el futuro está enterrada en secretos del pasado, en una historia oculta que los Transformers no habían revelado hasta ahora y que afecta a la historia inmediata de nuestro pasado. Salvar nuestro planeta depende de una alianza formada por Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg), Bumblebee, un lord inglés interpretado por Anthony Hopkins y una profesora de Oxford (Laura Haddock).
