This is going to sound crazy if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure we're in the same faculty. I don't want to dox you or anything, I just think you're cool. I'm a second year so any advice you have for exams would be really appreciated

I edited and resent your ask for the sake of anonymity.

Putting aside the fact that this is a little creepy: use Zotero to help you prepare your texts. I still use this exact same method now, but it was especially helpful in 2nd year for the papers that required commentary/gobbets or syntax analysis. I used to write up my own translation and scansion (if applicable) in LatTeX, then drag the PDF into Zotero and add my whole commentary and notes via the annotation/notes tools. If I was heading to a reading or syntax class, I added in questions I wanted to ask my tutor, too. You can have my (flawed, written 2 years ago) translation of Philippic I.1 above for free—most of the annotations come either from Quizlet or Ramsey’s commentary.

You probably already know the other big tips and resources. Diogenes, Logeion, OSE Online, Legentibus, the main Quizlet sets, etc. are what got me my grades. Good luck with everything—it’s not as bad as it’s made out to be 💕
