So... it’s time for CassCainktober 2022. This year idea: make a comic.

It was A LOT of work, but this is the first serious and long comic I’ve made since I was in highshool -over 15 years ago-, and I’m super proud with the result.

Anyway, this is part 1, you can read part 2 here. And also, as a heads up, had to end up everything in a cliffhanger because I was running out of time, but I’m gonna draw the conclusion (which should be shorter).

The Princess comes from a Central American inspired world and the Historian is Chinese.

I bit off more than I could chew in terms of world-building, but I want to get back to this world one day and push more specific design and pattern work.

Hey peeps! it’s been SO LONG since I’ve made a post! 

This is the latest version of Marisol! Yep, yet another version lol. I’ve been reworking and experimenting with her design for years and I think I finally designed the final version. 

I gave her a more cel shading style with her colors/shadows/highlights since Somni, once all vis dev is designed for it, will be a webcomic. The simpler the coloring style is for me to do, the easier it would be for me to create all the pages for the webcomic.

I plan on making a video talking about the evolution of Marisol’s design and how it relates to designing characters. When I finally complete that video, I’ll post it on here.

Spellward Bound is a comic that needs more love! The characters are precious, world building is exquisite, artwork is consistent and quality, and the story has me hooked.

Summary: Matteo’s greatest dream is to become an astronaut, but his chances of actually becoming one are astronomically low. Suddenly, Matteo finds himself teleporting to a strange fantasy realm of elves and magical creatures. The catch? He is now slowly becoming a magical creature himself. Once that happens, he’ll be trapped in the realms of fantasy for good! Now trapped spontaneously teleporting between Earth and The Realms, Matteo sets off on a journey to find a cure for his magical ailment.
