(11.28.20) 1) woke up early for my usual weekend classes. Was super busy all day that my whole groove was thrown off. Started at 8:50 and literally taught until 17:00 with maximum 90 mins break total. Nothing much happened today except the usual so after work I met up with Jason and had late dim sum for dinner near work. Then we visited a new market that opened early this month and see what options were available. 2) returned home, did 2 loads of laundry while showering and lesson planning. Chynna Dim Sum

Yes, all you dim sum lovers, you could finally eat dim sum AT NIGHT!  What?!  Where?  In Little Tokyo, of all places!  Yea, I'm not too fond of the name, it reminds me too much of Foxy Brown's album, but don't let the name deceive you.  If you, like me, have craved dim sum at night with a cold beer or mixed drink, this is the place to finally fulfill multiple needs.  

Located in the old Yaohan Plaza near 3rd and off of Alameda Street, you could park in the structure and enter the restaurant coming from the Korean market.  The decor is pretty fancy for the average dim sum place and the dim sum too is probably a $1-$2 more than it is in Chinatown or the San Gabriel Valley.  The good thing about the venue though is that it seems capable of holding large parties, it's clean and the servers are friendly.  Their menu has all your dim sum and Chinese food favorites ranging from har gao, bao, shumai, fried squid with spicy salt(?), chow fun, fried rice, pork chops, sauteed vegetables and more.  I ordered sake with my meal and was thrilled because I have never been able to just eat dim sum and drink sake at the same time.  My friend and I really enjoyed our meal and would revisit it again.  The owner was really nice and thanked us on our way out, inviting us to come back.
