MASTERPOST OF ARGENTINEAN CREATIVES: COMMISSIONS OPEN

We called for argentinean artists, writers, animators, graphic designers and musicians to send us their work to boost them in the international market, and here we all are!

Because of our country's political decline in the hands of a fascist government we are in need of help.

We are in need of visibility and financial aid, so everyone that you see here is open for commissions, and the masterpieces you see are what you can look forward to.

We will update this post every month according to the entries we might get in the future, until the end of June. On the 15th of July there will be another masterpost, hopefully with more people!

Also, we will be reblogging their pieces so stick around and see what they'll do in the future, and please consider reblogging anything you like from us or from them directly, it goes a long way.

Lastly, we're trying to keep it bilingual, so if you see an image that has writing in just one language (or both!), check the ALT TEXT, it will have both spanish and english versions.

Convocamos a artistas, escritores, animadores, diseñadores gráficos y músiques argentines a que nos envíen sus trabajos para potenciarlos en el mercado internacional, ¡y aquí estamos todos!

Debido al declive político de nuestro país en manos de un gobierno fascista necesitamos ayuda.

Necesitamos visibilidad y ayuda financiera, así que todes los que ven aquí estamos abiertes a encargos, y las obras maestras que ven son lo que pueden esperar de nosotres.

Actualizaremos esta publicación todos los meses de acuerdo con la cantidad de fichas que podamos recibir en el futuro, hasta finales de junio. El 15 de julio habrá otro masterpost, ¡esperamos que con más gente!

-La canción del mar

Le sostiene la mirada, preguntándose por las ciaturas que alberga, por los naufragios y cadáveres que reposan en el fondo de sus aguas. Se pregunta si, tal vez, el mar tiene consciencia y los humanos no lo saben, si la melodía de las olas que se estrellan contra las rocas son en realidad palabras que usa para llamar su nombre, diciéndole que se adentre en sus aguas, prometiendo unas rocas cómodas para que su cadáver pueda reposar. -The Sea’s Song

She holds its gaze, wondering about the creatures it houses, about the shipwrecks and corpses that rest at the bottom of its waters. She wonders if, perhaps, the sea has consciousness and humans don't know it, if the melody of the waves crashing against the rocks are actually the words it uses to call her name, telling her to enter its waters, promising some comfortable rocks so that her corpse can rest. The fish stir, fighting for a freedom that won’t come. They will soon run out of oxygen and die slowly and painfully. Kika sometimes likes to pretend that she’s a God and the fish are her dying creation, waiting for the sweet relief of death. She watches the life leave their eyes and says a prayer before guiding the knife into their insides.

When the moon is full and it’s the time when sorrows and regrets suffocate you, Nerea has the impulse to take her car, drive to Gina's house and ask her to give each other a second chance, promising to do things right this time. Es curioso, ¿no? Lo que decidimos poner en nuestra receta define el sabor de nuestra vida. Algunos le echan pasión desbordada, otros apenas un poco de emoción a fuego lento. Están quienes prefieren vivir crudo, sin procesar, tragándose lo que venga como venga, y quienes cocinan todo a la perfección, pero terminan con un platillo que ni siquiera saben disfrutar. Hay quienes se estancan en un mismo sabor porque les aterra probar algo nuevo, y quienes improvisan tanto que olvidan qué ingredientes les hacen bien.

¿Qué es la vida? Cada concepto sobre esta pregunta puede ser muy ambiguo, ambivalente o, de pronto, absurdo y chistoso.

Conozco un dicho que dice que la vida es un juego, y solo necesitamos saber los trucos y las reglas para manejarnos en ella de forma correcta. Pero entonces, ¿qué es vivir? Cierra tus ojos un momento y responde a ti mismo: ¿estás viviendo como quieres? ¿Si tu yo de cinco años te viera, realmente estaría orgulloso de todo lo que ahora eres?

Me aterra el concepto de estar viva. ¿Por qué? Porque sentir, física y emocionalmente, lo que sucede es lo más bajo que hay. Si veo más dentro de mí, me doy cuenta de que soy un complemento complejo de entender y que lo que me hace sentir viva es que no tengo ni puta idea de quién soy. Llevo una vida entera en mi película protagónica, el caos de ser yo, intentando descubrirme. Y cuando al final siento que he llegado al punto máximo para poder decir: HUEVÓN, YA ENTIENDO QUIÉN PUTAS SOY, me encuentro nuevamente con otro pasaje secreto dentro de mí que tengo que descubrir.

Es como si abres la puerta de un laberinto y, cuando te tomó diez años terminar ese, viene otro más jodido. Qué incertidumbre. Pasé la mitad del laberinto llorando y la otra mitad, molesta con la vida. Estaba cansada de entenderme, de un montón de cosas que no tengo ni puta idea de cómo se gestionan.

¿Dónde estoy? ¿Me perdí? Quiero volver cuando las cosas eran simples: comer cereal los sábados y ver caricaturas… Abro los ojos y estoy aquí, cumpliendo horario para pagar facturas y un psicólogo que me oriente en cómo debo entender la complejidad de mi existencia, las emociones, todo lo que me implantó la sociedad, mis autosabotajes y la necesidad impetuosa de suplir todo lo que no gestiono con algo de sexo o algunos de estos vicios de mierda legalizados a conveniencia que solo me llevan a evitar mi propio caos mental.

Pero… ¿es caos? ¿O es una revelación de nuestra propia esencia y lo definimos como caos por recibir esos comentarios del colectivo que dicen: ERES DEMASIADO INTENSO, ERES DEMASIADO DRAMÁTICO, PIENSAS MUCHO? ¿Por qué no pensar? ¿Por qué debería disculparme por pensar o sentir? Está allí…

First of all, I must say I really adore "Slay The Princess", not just because it's an amazing game, but also, because I'm an aspiring writer, and you guys made it to the top of my admiration list. Your storytelling and worldbulding is in my eyes one of the greatest I've ever seen, and also one I'm aiming for myself (the mix of horror and comedy is just spotless✨️). I trully hope I can one day achieve the level of craft you presented in this amazing piece of art <3

Aaaaand now, after some very much deserved prasing, just one, short question. Are you guys planing to add other languages to the game at some point? I would love to see this game flurish in my country as well... but not many people speak English here 😅

In 10 short days, the game will have full subtitles in the following languages:

Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) French German Italian Spanish (Latam and EU) Brazilian Portuguese Polish Russian Japanese Korean I don't know if we'll be adding more beyond that. Depends on how the new update + console releases affect sales. Localization is also a much more involved process than I originally thought it would be wrt my time and labor, so we might leave it at the above list.

Floyd ( and Veneer ) are canonically Gay coded/ please stop shipping Floyd with women

Alright since I keep seeing Floyd being shipped with women, a post like this needs to be made.

So we don't need to go over how lgbt representation is important and that if you erase that representation, it's wrong right?

These aren't headcanons btw, these are deliberate choices by the character designers and writers to give out these hints of the characters' identities. ( and keep in mind the movie isn't even out yet we have THIS much hints , so probably even more will surface as time goes on )

First, let's focus on Floyd. His voice actor is Troye Sivan. Well known gay musician.

Now, if it were just this one clue, then I would understand dismissing it. But the character designers blatantly give Floyd a design detail that is a reference to his voice actor's homosexuality as well as a hint to the character himself's orientation.

His one earring on his right ear. A clear detail, one he wears both as a teenager, and as an adult.

Now, wearing one earring on the right ear is an obvious reference to how some gay men in real life would wear it as a signal/symbol for their homosexuality

And to back this up even more that these are blatant choices to code these characters as gay, Veneer is the exact same scenario. Gay coded, has a gay voice actor ( Andrew Rennells ) and that's referenced with his earring

The LATAM dub even went as far as ALSO hiring a gay voice actor for Veneer as well. Making it clear as day that the character is gay.

And now for some FaQ

-"But it's not 100% confirmed!"

Stop dismissing gay coding especially if you aren't gay yourself. Sometimes Creators aren't gonna slap you in the face with information so they do ( obvious ) hints such as this.

-"Respect other people's headcanons!"

There's a huge difference between headcanons and erasing a character's canonical identity that was made for representation. How about YOU respect canon lgbt characters?

-"DreamWorks doesn't make gay characters!1!"

Tl;dr please respect the fact that Floyd is canonically gay and stop trying to ship the ONE canon gay member of brozone with women. Thank you.

Some tea from Richard Speight, Jr. about filming Cas’s testament scene has surfaced from DLC6. [x]

nothing cut from script to screen but they added things, such as Cas having to paint the sigil on the door and leaving the bloody hand print on Dean’s shoulder [my note: wbk about the additions during filming. There's still the matter of the spanish dub because the latam dubbing team felt a verbal I love you from Dean, made sense. And a few other lingering questions that have not actually been resolved and we may never know, but I'll go along. If Rich is happy with what was filmed and got to screen in the US, I'm glad. I love 15.18 either way. Rich's comments also goes to show how collaborative making tv is and how fluid the process can be.]

Rich said the scene wasn’t intended to be about Dean’s reciprocation, it was to give Cas his moment to speak his truth, to speak his love for Dean, and Cas didn’t expect an answer back, he just wanted to be heard, wanting Dean to know. [my note: makes sense to me, and it’s what I’ve thought about Cas pov. Cas pov not being the same as audience pov and what the story might need next and what Dean’s needs are. But for that scene, Cas feels complete. It also very much means the emotional story from Dean's side is not resolved. Dean wasn't given his chance yet, by creative design, perhaps because the only way they could get this greenlit at all is if it was only Cas who got to speak. We'll see what happens next.]

Rich saying because they did many takes of the scene with Dean’s emotional reactions, there are shots where Dean is crying more, or crying less. Editing put together different angles from different takes. [my note: the irony that naysayers are already trying to weaponize this to shut down the idea that anything got cut when per Rich himself, the facts on the ground are that the full range of Jensen’s acting for Dean’s response got reduced. No shade on Rich. But let's not erase or deny what was going on with Jensen's acting and how Jensen gave 110% and what wound up on screen was about 80% of whatever work Jensen did. Dean wept more than we saw, even before Dean was on the dungeon floor sobbing. Jensen’s performance as it stands is beautiful and powerful and full of emotion. It has taken an inordinate amount of hate and erasure, which is 100% cynical concern trolling to deny Dean’s feelings for Cas. More shots of Dean crying openly wouldn’t stop it, there’s no excuse for those responses. What’s there is loud enough. Only the most willfully cynical gaze could deny the love and anguish Dean showed.]

Rich said the parallel for John and Mary’s confession in TW 1x07 to 15x18 is a “coincidence” yet went on to talk about the trope of confessing love in a life or death situation and cited Leia and Han Solo among others [my note: it was also used again by an ep Rich recently directed in another piece of media I won’t say so I don’t spoil it. Also I’m laughing about how it seems he answered this. Total coincidence!! And spn 15.18 is like TW 1x07 is like Han and Leia and love confessions in dire situations is a common (romantic) trope. Pls, if anybody is taking away from this some kind of shutdown on creative recognition of the Destiel implications of it all, I don’t even want to know, I’ve had my fill of poor comprehension skills, poor critical thinking, and poor media literacy, oh my god]

Rich saying he was glad Cas’s words meant a lot to queer fans and that he feels it was important and a “bold” move that Bobo and Misha fought for. <3

So that's confirmation from director now, to add to writer intention, both actors, and an EP who greenlight Bobo's pitch for Cas’s testament as romantic. That is canon. That is a lock.

Cas's testament started out carefully padded into an “open to interpretation” zone. We have watched it be eased out of it and into the open.

I’m pleased it's openly acknowledged for what it is...and what I knew it was when the ep aired. I did expect it would be eventually, and would take some time. I’m glad it's here now.

Notes from the two Spanish dubs of Psych:

I finally found a stream for both versions and immediately watched Lights Camera Homicidio in both.

Both versions struggled a lot with the premise of the episode and I have so much sympathy for the poor dubbing script writers. This must have been hell on earth to script. Also the script translator having to annotate everything.

The Castilian version just kept some of the jokes (like Shawn making fun of the name Jorge and using words like "dangerioso") which just makes him look both really idiotic and mean. His main problem is also not that Gus watches a telenovela but that he watches a Mexican telenovela. I guess Castilian Spanish Shawn just doesn't like Mexican people?? One of the few changes I caught is Lassie saying "me gusta tequila" instead of "queso" which is funny as hell.

The LatAm version changed some of those jokes but not all of them. Shawn instead makes fun of Jorge wanting to be called "Jorgito". Instead of saying he learned his Spanish from Love Boat, he learned his acting from Love Boat. He just speaks regular Spanish in the scene where he is supposed to slip into English, which means he just seems really bad at improv and acting?

Neither version changed anything about the bit where he runs out of Spanish words and just says words like "playa" and "cerveza".

This is just because of how Spanish pronunciation works but I always love when they pronounce the names differently like Gus is more like Goose and Spencer obviously becomes Espencer.

I wonder if it felt weird to audiences to suddenly hear a Spanish intro out of nowhere.

I'm not a native speaker so it's entirely possible I missed something.
