ps: i had a lot of fun making this set!! the right-side panels contain translations of the lyrics. all translations are my own and i've tried translating in a way to keep the meaning and essence intact (though personally english translations of hindi songs will always feel inadequate to me). this set is basically a product of @patspran and i screaming in each other's dms about how patpran x bollywood is a very real agenda and @tontawantu 's bad buddy playlist (pls go check it out!!) i love you and i hope you like it, ayesha!! 💛 *yeets away*

Serina Seda: Nicknames She Has For Canon Characters.

NOTE: Mind you, Serina isn't the type to call anyone by their nicknames. She is very formal with a lot of people and with people who she is close with or familial with, her form of affection is calling them by their names.

That said - Ahsoka Tano does have a nickname assigned to everyone so Serina in her company will reluctantly use Ahsoka's nicknames for some of them if they are having a conversation for the sake of consistency (she has given up on trying to correct Ahsoka, it's a lost cause).

Obi-Wan Kenobi - strictly referred to as "Master" or in very special cases - meaning on the verge of death - "Katoyi" which is the Pantoran word for an adoptive parent.

Anakin Skywalker - refuses to use "Sky Guy", that's strictly between him and Ahsoka. In a very familial context she may call him "Kato", which refers to an older guardian who is not quite a sibling. I find this kind of fitting for her nickname for Anakin because Anakin is like Ahsoka's older brother figure and Serina and Ahsoka consider each other sisters so there's that connection.

Ahsoka Tano - often refers to her as "Soka" unless she is mad or concerned than she will use her full name. "Kalode" is the Pantoran term for brother/sister/sibling.

Commander Cody - at the beginning of their friendship, it's "Commander" because she was very worried that she would disrespect him by being familiar but after seeing Ahsoka refer to Captian Rex by his preferred name, Serina started calling Cody by his name. However, once she is taught Mando'a by the clones under her command, she might call Cody "burc'ya" which means "Friend" or towards the end of the Clone Wars when they have been working together and have built a very strong level of trust, respect, admiration and fondness for each other, she might get the privilege of calling him "vod" which can mean brother, sister or comrade.

Captain Rex - It would be "Captain" until Ahsoka starts calling Rex by his name and prompts Serina to do the same. Serina, of course, asks first which makes him very flustered but he gives her permission.

Commander Fox - She has the utmost respect for Fox so she will strictly call him "Commander" when talking to him but because she also spends time around Riyo Chuchi, who talks about him quite often, she starts to refer to him as Fox. She once slipped up and called him Fox to his face - considered high in her Top Embarrassing Moments - but he didn't bat an eyelash.

Padme Amidala - Padme insists that she and Ahsoka call her by her first name when they are not in a formal setting. However, over the years, she will refer to Padme as Anakin's "Shuyo" or just as n affectionate "Shuyo" which means "Sunlight" or "Light of the Sun". He doesn't know what Serina's always calling Padme but by the small, mischievous smile she always wears, he can hazard a guess.

Satine Kyrze - Serina calls her "Her Grace" or "Your Grace" when she first meets Satine, always very respectful and very reverent of her - especially after she see's how the Duchess goes toe to toe with her Master. However, when they grow closer she starts to refer to her by her name. In a very emotional, verge of death kind of moment, she might slip up and call her "Katoya" or even "Kaya" which basically means "Mother/Mom". Also might call her "Lasya" in a very informal , affectionate circumstance which means "Moon".

Riyo Chuchi - Serina and Riyo are quite informal right off the bat because they meet when they are in a situation in which they are the only Pantorans present and instantly bond because Riyo's family also comes from a humble background like Serina's. So maybe "Ri", which also means "Reason" in Pantoran which is a nod to Riyo's attitude.

Rivin Nox - Where to begin with Rivin Nox? "His Royal Pain in the Ass", "Jerk", "Evil with a side of Vulgar"? She could go on but she doesn't honour him with a title. She keeps it impersonal for their first few meetings with "Nox" or any of the as before mentioned. She has only even called him by his first name once and it was a very tense, emotional, cathartic moment.
