The bloater take down to save Ellie is ✨ Terminator Joel ✨ at his finest and one of my fav parts of both games, and this small detail KILLS ME.

When they are hearing the bloater reacting to the sound of her breaking the pipe, right before the wall starts to get smashed in on them you can see Joel shift closer to Ellie and try to throw his arm out in front of her to protect her 😭🥺

LETTERS FROM THE LAST OF US: Waiting for hope

I-- I can't believe I just did that. I. I fucking killed my brother! I killed my brother! I didn't know! I didn't know he was bitten.

That son of a bitch lied to me. He LIED! He put me in danger, and for what? To just end up dead on our kitchen floor!?

It's been 2 days since I killed Gabe. He's starting to smell, but I can't bring myself to throw his body at those monsters out there. He needs a proper burial. That's what Mom would have wanted. It's quiet outside right now. All I can hear is the faint howl of dogs in the distance. Maybe that means help is coming. It has to be coming soon.

Playing Last of Us part 1 again. Still disappointed about part 2

you know, if there is anything positive to take away from the absolute braindead idea that was Suicide Squad Kill the Justice leage, and the way it destroyed the Arkham setting in such a decisive fashion, its that Rocksteady Studios will hopefully serve as a reminder for other game studios that they can in fact go bankrupt when they decide to destroy their own franchises, and unlike movie universes like Disney Star Wars(which has been propped up by disney money even if every single product after rise of skywalker except the mandalorian, has been an abysmal failure financially), it is much easier for Game Companies and franchises to crash and burn permanently.

Harley executing Arkham Batman feels very much like Joel getting his head caved in with a Gold Club, and just like that game, There is no future for a sequel to either game.

There are two differences between Rocksteady and Naugthy Dog.

Regardless what I and many, many others think about the Game, and the way it cratered in sales very, very quickly once word got out about it's abyssmal story, the game did sell astonishingly well in that first period, more than enough to make their money back and then some. Sure as a long term project it effectively killed any future sales on anything except remakes/remasters of the original, but it made a lot of money for the company.

Suicide Squad will most certainly NOT sell enough to make any kind of similar profits.

The bigger difference though, is that though the future continuation of The Last of us as a Gaming franchise is as dead as Joel, Naughty Dog has other franchises it can fall back on in the long term, most notably Uncharted.

Rocksteady has no such franchises. other than one, single obscure FPS from 2006, The company has no other games whatsoever under its belt other than the Arkham Games.

This was their one, single, golden goose franchise, and like so many others in the last 10 years, they arrogantly decided to torch the franchise with no heed to the consequences, assured that fans would just buy it regardless of quality, assured that they could piss in a glass and call it wine, and everyone would drink it and praise it to the heavens.

They will not.

Rocksteady has just committed, fittingly enough, Suicide, and this game will go down, maybe not the biggest video game disaster in history, but certainly one of the most predictable, and avoidable icebergs ever in the industry.

Hopefully, others will take note once the fallout actually sets in, but probably not. We'll probably see more than a few similar disasters unfold before western video game companies take the hint that people are bloody tired of this abyssmal, predictable, and almost always poorly executed form of "Deconstructive" storytelling plaguing modern western storytelling.

Also FYI to the other TLOU a freaks out there… I got this sticker pack on Amazon (I know I usually avoid at all costs but I’m weak sometimes) and I am shocked at how awesome it is! It’s a mix of game and HBO characters some part 1 some part 2 and I LOVE IT 💕 (There were many more stickers this is just a sampling)

I've just begun playing The Last of Us Part Two.

From a design perspective, I really appreciate the clickers (basically any of the infected); they have a creepy appearance and the eerie noise they make adds to the atmosphere. Additionally, I admire the originality of the Clickers as they are unique to The Last of Us universe.

However, from the player's standpoint, I hate them. I find them quite annoying to deal with.

(Being Hunted) Last Of Us Part 2 Ellie x Male Reader lemon.

I’m currently mopping floors in an old abandoned firefly outpost that I just cleared out from infected clickers, these blood stains don’t wash out easily. Suddenly I hear something moving behind me but as I turn around I barely managed to get out of the way of some kind of brick that was flying towards my head, as it shatters against the wall I say to myself “WHAT KIND OF HOME ALONE SHIT IS THIS?!” Then I quickly unintentionally blocked a throwing knife from being lodged right in between my eyes with the handle of my mop. In an utter panic I tossed the mop towards the direction of where the knife came from as I frantically sprinted the opposite direction I tossed the mop. I slip on the wet floor I just mopped & trip over, then my attacker finally showed themselves & it’s a woman around my age.

She points her gun at me asking (“CALMLY”) “WHERE’S THE FUCKING FIREFLY PRICKS THAT KILLED MY FARTHER?!” “W-what are you talking about?!” She cocks her gun “WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?!” “I don’t have time for any bullshit, tell me where your Firefly friends went?!” “Oh FFS, I’M NOT WITH THOSE ASSHOLES!” “That’s Bullshit!” “WHY DO YOU THINK THAT I’M ONE OF THOSE DOUCHES! DO I LOOK LIKE I’M WEARING A FIREFLY UNIFORM?!” “I FOUND YOU THIS FIREFLY BASE!” “AN ABANDONED FIREFLY BASE!” “Well then why’d you run?!” “BECAUSE YOU WERE THROWING FRICKIN BRICKS & KNIVES AT ME!..” she starts lowering her weapon when clicker shows up i then toss dirt into her eyes & makes a break for it, her gun goes off & kills the clicker instantly. As I’m running she catches up to me & I immediately get tackled to the ground by her & she puts me in a stranglehold & starts strangling me as she pins me to the ground. I struggle break free from grip for seems like forever in vain as I start to lose consciousness I struggle to breathe as I pleaded “P-p-please don’t k-kill me..” she finally relented & let’s me go. I start coughing & gasping for air as regain my breath she again wraps her arms around my neck but this time she’s not trying to strangle me she’s just hugging me to comfort me & softly whispers into my ear “I’m so sorry.” She then kisses my cheek then leans her head next to mine I then whisper “if you want, there’s a way you can make it up to me..” she smirks then turns my head to face hers & our lips connected.
