okay my one qualm about the pjo episode today, that I just HAVE to address, is that they did not utilize the ingenious cinematic tool that is The Montage enough.

the lotus casino IS A MONTAGE. They are meant to be doing things!!!!! Many things!!!! Playing games and going to water parks and having spa treatments and stuffing their faces!!!! Annabeth plays a sims game!! Percy figures out that they’re stuck!!! Not this they know from the start and get out in twenty minutes business.

like…………. a montage would’ve been perfect, in fact they could’ve kept in the rest of the episode and new stuff they added, it wasn’t even a forty minute episode! Montage would’ve fit PERFECTLY.

That'd be pretty neat to have the wings be a part of the moves, like being held in different positions for flare/fanciness. Or taking into account how the tail feathers swish around when you pirouette. Things would def be more difficult if the pegasus has to hold it's wings in different positions throughout the test instead of just having them folded at their sides.

I was wondering, what languages the Batfam knows and it got me thinking outside of English, my personal headcanon af this all

All of them know ASL, and the Bat code, that is a mix of all of the languages that they know mixed with a ASL coded to be able to be spoken and some codes that make it look like it's a bunch of Bats and Birds communicating

Clicks and Chipping and some other sounds that depending on the animal they are "imitating" it's a different person like Bruce is a Bat, Dick is a bird, Jason is a dog, Tim is a fox, Damian is a cat

Or u can go with the Bat and Bird them because Birds have different types of Chipping like the Sabiá a or the Bem te Ví

Alfred - As a former spy he picked a lot of languages, so let's say that the being known as the not mortal knows a lot, but if the human spy is just a human, then he larned a lot from his time as a spy so Russian, Italian, French, Arabic and Mandarin, after he got his first grandson he picked Portuguese, Romani, Latin, Swedish, Greek, Spanish, Corian and Japanese after Dick, he larned to be open to all kinds of surprises and did some more research on the topic

Batman- At the start of it all, he already knew Russian, French, Italian and Mandarin, then he got to the hole travel for the Bat training and we know he met and trained with the LoA, so he knows the loA dialect, and also Arabic, he just like Alfred larned all of his kid languages

Dick - ( Romani hc even though I love the Brazilian hc as well so why not both in his parents) In the circus he larned the mother thong of a lot of the people there, his mom Romani and his dad Portuguese, he also larned english, russian, spanish, Italian, Greek, French, Japanese, Corian and Swedish he picked a dead language Latin to spite Bruce wen Bruce showed discomfort with magic and it's unpredictably, he picked LoA dialect from Bruce's and Thalia's "I want privacy" tipe of conversations, that Bruce didn't want to send Dick away from him but Dick couldn't hear the matter at hand because it's something (ether person ar confidential)

Barbara - She is there since Dick was, maby even before, she knows LoA dialect by the same conditions as Dick, she knows Romani and Portuguese by Dick sulking in the corner saying things she didn't understand and didn't like NOT understanding, she picked up all of Dick's languages Russian, Spanish, Italian, Greek, French, Japanese, Corian, Swedish and Latin that she larned with Dick also in spite of Bruce

Jason - He at first did know a lot of languages, but he took learning like a fish to water, so he does know Russian, spanish, and Italian he died shortly after starting Romani, but got the basics frome Dick and wen he got revived, Arabic and LoA dialect, and some more as bounding with Steph

Tim - (I have seen some hc of Chinese descendant Tim and it is in my mind sooo) Mandarin, he took classes of Spanish and French, decided to larne Portuguese and Romani because of Dick wen he discovered Robins ID, training with Lady Shiva and larned a little bit of the LoA dialect wen he asked her about it, started do study Arabic wen Bruce was lost in the time streame and Japanese wen he went back to Gotham

Steph - Has larned Spanish and Romani wen Tim was Robin wen they talked and relaxed on calm nights and Tim slipped on to the languages he was focused at the moment, after that she started with Arabic bounding with Jason [because there friendship is incredible] and went frome there one Russian, Italian, LoA dialect, and some more as bounding with Jason and Portuguese came with bounding with Dick

Cass - ASL, English and the Bat code, she is still learning to speak English but is fluent in the other two because one is mostly clicks that resemble a tipe of spoken ASL, after she is fluent in English, all the other languages are going to come in due time, Dick is going to be triled to teach her all of the languages he knows (as he is the most versed in the topic and he is the one that incentives all of the others to larne

Damian - LoA dialect, Arabic, Latin, Greek and English, wen Bruce was trapped in the timestrem Dick thought him Romani, Portuguese and Spanish and after Bruce returned Tim bounding exercise is languages so Mandarin, Spanish, French and Japanese

Duke - [I personally don't know him a lot, but he is a character that I like] He is still learning other languages, but he knows Corian and ASL he larned even before the We are Robin, after that he is still learning the languages that everyone is teaching him, especially the Bat code, so Russian and Spanish Jason is teaching him with the help of Dick and Steph, Alfred and Bruce are teaching him Italian, Japanese and French

As I said, this is a headcan, things that I pounder at night laying in bed, and it just fit well

perrine usually leads the walks in the forest. They know the paths so well, and have a good step. behind them, is usually kingsley and clementine. cole close the group

talking about perrine and cole, usually they carry the bags and important things. 

perrine usually decides when is a good time to stop

“Are we there yet?” “kingsley, we start walking like five minutes ago.”

kingsley have a tendency to fall. they usually have a lot of minor injuries.  perrine always worry for them, so the group usually stops to heal the injuries

one time, kingsley accidentally slaps cole with a twig. they have the twig mark like two weeks before the accident.

remember that headcanon of clémentine loving walking barefoot? well their shoes are uncomfortable to walk in the forest so they´re usually barefoot.

cole and perrine have a huge knowledge about wild fruits and berries, so, they are usually sharing little fruits and eating with the group.

perrine and clementine carries cole and kingsley in piggyback when they are tired.  they have a lot of resistance walking

sometimes they can´t arrive to their destination, so they usually sleeps in the forest. 

kingsley knows how to light a bonfire so they usually have that homework.

perrine and cole usually put rabbit traps and they prepare an cook the animals. clementine picks some wild berries in the vicinity

clementine really enjoy the walks in the forest, because they usually feels that this works as a bonding moment

they sleeps together, involving everyone in a hug and a big larn blanket. they heat each other and sometimes talk until they fall asleep

If I may ask (and while I know it's a really cliched question lol), I was just wondering, what's your favorite thing about Johnny and what inspired you to create Ari/her story? ^^

My monsters university OC was created in 2013, and looked a lot different than her current design. Jenny Larnes was her original design— this design was made into a fandomless original character a few years later (now found on @notjustalittlekid ).

Despite the design changes, my MU OC had the same backstory and exposition— curious and resilient foster kid eager to escape her situation concocts a successful plan to enter the Monster World in disguise.

I wrote with two people @johnny-thejaw-worthington and @jock-jerk-scarer who developed amazing dynamics with my MU OC, as a familial big-brother relationship between Johnny and Ari/Jenny.

Years later, Johnny Worthington returns in Monsters at Work Season 2, and I finally constructed a plot to write for a fanfiction and more art pieces. I revamped Ari/Jenny and start filling in missing pieces that I overlooked as a young creator.

As for Johnny, personally I do love his design. His design seems mistakenly simple, yet is remarkably difficult to draw— especially with his horns and head. The fact that Johnny also runs on all fours from time to time is also a treat to draw, too. Coming from an animal biologist, I’ve always favored drawing animals over humans, or even animalistic features.

Personality-wise, I appreciate that Johnny isn’t completely a flat villain. He’s not necessarily evil, just arrogant with preconceived notions of what should constitute privilege and prestige in the Monster World. But Pixar does add those little touches where you can see that Johnny does have something to lose. He’s terrified of losing, of being anything less than the best.

If Monsters at Work has anything to say about Johnny’s development (so far, at least), he definitely seems considerably more approachable and possess less of an air of arrogance. I’d be happy if he learned his lesson, and matured since his college days.

The Eggs: The children were trained black widow style. They all know hand-to-hand combat and how to use a weapon, but each one has their specialty.

TILIN: Tilin in my head and an infiltrator, they tend to be the type of kid who receive hidden information and can get rid of targets if necessary. Silent and deadly, perfect for someone like Quackty that deals with ellegal gambling and might need to silance someone

TRUMP: Trump works in demolitions, the right child to cause a noisy distraction, or not! Depending on what is needed he will have the right pump for the job.

BOBBY: Bobby is what the federation likes to call a "support tool". Jaiden doesn't work directly on the field, while Roier, although capable, tends to cause scenes. That's where Bobby comes in. A child able to assess the situation and dispose of evidence as best he can. He also has training in pyrotechnics.

CHAYANNE: Chayanne is a bodyguard, sent to Philza and Missa to help them with their dirty work. Chayanne is a combat prodigy and has been trained extensively to tolerate pain and fatigue.

LEO: Leo is one of many children trained to specialize in firerms and how to pass unsuspected by cameras.

RAMÓN: Ramón is one of the hack prodigies, having been sent to Fit to help him with his endevors.

DAPPER: Dapper is the gadget guy.

JUAN (Old name bc I feel like one of the many things she will larn is to express herself, with the help of Slime, Mariana and the others) : Juan is the kid with the best aim and knows how to use anything with a trigger and ammo accurately.

TALLULAH: Tallulah is a master manipulator and expert at getting information and dealing with people, both through dialogue and torture. But unfortunately she is not the best child in hand-to-hand combat making her a "low-demand tool"

RICHARLYSON: Richarlyson, like Chayanne, is a child who specializes in protection, with the difference being that he prioritizes the use of his firearm. He also has an implant in his right leg, put there by the federation after an accident in his training. Despite this, Richarlyson has managed to prove himself useful. He is also the youngest of the children.

false king metal sonic would be so tragic because unlike Main Metal sonic who’s always been the tool/weapon by Eggman and nothing else, judging by the backstory for false king arthur, this metal sonic lived a life where he likely have loving parents/guardians and formed friendships while steadily become a proper king to rule the kingdom so of course he’d be absolutely enraged that Sonic comes along being the true king arthur and basically took everything that he worked so hard for in his life from his perspective

truueee, for this version he actually has a full on backstory, plus it's implied merlina may have corrupted the false king in some way to get him out of the way so she could do her plan if I remember correctly, the knights even point out he wasn't this mad of a king before

so for false king metal, he was likely created to fulfill the prophecy by merlin, as sonic wasn't here and there was nobody to fulfill that role, so the best option was to make something to fulfill that role!

Faulse king metal of course had to have some form of actual life and childhood before, making friends, learning how life works, how to be a good ruler, before finally coming to power, and ruling as a pretty damn good king for a while.

But of course, things can't stay the same forever, merlin eventually died, and while false king metal could mourn and move on, merlina could not, resulting in her want to freeze the kingdom in a perminant stasis.

mirlina knows something like metal WILL last forever, after all, he isn't technically alive, the closest he even can get to decay is rust, and even then he might be enchanted so that isn't an issue, so she knows if she does this right she can make this kingdom last forever, but false king metal won't agree with her.

Faulse king metal knows the world will change around him, he was likely already warned of the consequences of his longevity, he's larned to accept it, and he likely wouldn't agree with merlina's plan even if it's just on the grounds of 'you could actually destroy everything if you mess up'

So, merlina needs to get creative, clearly the prophecy wasn't truly fulfilled, faulse king metal doesn't have Excalibur, he wasn't properly chosen, he was placed into this role, so in order to get past metal, she must overthrow him using the true king as a pawn, slowly yet subtly driving faulse king metal mad, she'd rather not have to do this, but in her view it's for the greater good.

faulse king metal was always very bold and prone to outbursts, but as he's driven mad the outbursts become more common, they get worse, the plan starting to backfire when metal resorts to attacking merlina, the summoning if sonic only making it worse as now there's the threat of being replaced by some random copy!

Resulting in faulse king metal as more of as tragic villain, a king created to rule, driven mad by the choices of another, his already existing flaws amplified to the point he actually can't rule properly anymore without becoming a tyrant, only to be defeated and replaced by a complete stranger from another world, the one the prophecy you were made to fulfill was ACTUALLY about.
