Tomb Raider Remastered finally got me drawing again 🫡 i didnt wanna post these separately and CWs might be OTT but better safe than sorry. let me introduce tumblr to my secret undying love for the Tomb Raider series, ESPECIALLY the very first game from 1996. the 1-3 remaster was everything i hoped it would be,, 🥹

unsure if i'm making Lara Croft an f/o but i wanted to draw it at least once teehee🤭 i am cringe but i am free. shes so badass, but also has a calm sort of mild cheeky humour to her dialogue, much like my own. shes really smart and functional and independant, and very pretty (in the remake at least.. im not a tits guy regardless but 📐) she was a sex symbol of the 90s but me as an asexual guy theres sooo much more to Lara's character that appeals to me. shes the only fellow British person i would ever date lol

i was shit scared of Atlantean creatures as a kid (i was definitely too young to be watching my parents play it but i loved being involved and challenged, and they let me set my own bounderies of comfort in media i consumed, a good approach imo) but as an adult replaying it, they reaaally fascinate me. the story for TR1 is quite simple but the creature designs and minimal storytelling is phenomenal even all these years later 🤩 so i designed my own Atlantean creature, naturally based off hyenas. i even referenced a hyena skull when drawing it. i never draw like gore or creepy detailed stuff it was a fun change of pace, probably wont happen again but was fun for a one off!

Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft had me enraptured. I had to watch all of her movies (especially Mr and Mrs Smith) and play all the Tomb Raider games...

She was the first action hero female protagonist I had ever seen, so I thought it was just hero worship, but I know better now.

2. oohhh I remember that it was the time when everyone had a asknameofthecharacter or questionnameofthecharacter blog for Avengers and a few more fandoms, so I made a questionbuckybarnes to interact with people and it was extremely goofy and with lots of crack things, no one taking any topic too seriously, and I also made a 'asktothegiantdude' which was half Hurley from Lost half the giant from OUAT since they were played by the same character, nearly at the same time? And then I went and made like ten more blogs but that Bucky has a special place in my heart, because of how much fun we had!

9. well for one I'm aromantic and asexual so Emma probably envies me and I envy her lol but also Emma is way braver than I am, both in battle/adventures and in sharing her opinions without being too diplomatic, but I react more in survivor-mode to trauma while she falls apart. She is very extroverted and I am not, she loves doing things and I'm both lazy and a relax-lover (no it's not the same), I love books she hates them, I was a good student, she's... good at sports, she can easily deal with other people's pain without crying herself to sleep every single time, I share pains and ask for help a little more easily. We are not that similar except for some key components! (like the never-ending optimism and hope)

As a shipper, and I say this with no shame because rp is a game and I play however I want, I wish I could bring Clarke back to explore her with Bellamy and Murphy, which I felt weren't developed as much as they could have been, but she's so hard to write. Same as Kate from Lost? I also had an oc still with Evangeline Lilly as her face that was basically Lara Croft but I never got to write her much as well as my Dragon Age ocs, my Surena deserved a bit of love, but frankly all my lasting wishes are about more shipping for them lol

To be fair until romance is involved into the gendra the character is actually aromantic. Unless the character is saying specifically "I would rather get boned then be here" which is sex repulsed but mot inherently asexual but saying "I would rather be doing anything right now." "Even sex" "Hm -_- Yeaah-" then yeah that's asexual. Even if it's mentionned they have sex unless the character is gushing about how good it is. They're asexual.

I love both the old and the new Lara Croft but for different reasons.

Old Lara is a dream come true, not because of her body (I'm asexual so you can belive me here xD). She's badass and elegant at the same time. Strong and feminine. She seems like a bi queen who is just too good to be true.

I play the old Tomb Raider games when I just want to have fun.

New Lara seems more real. She is a little awkward and insecure. Also very strong but less elegant and badass. More relatable. She is gorgeous and I might have a little crush on her. And I'm pretty sure she's a little gay. If not gay at least bi or pan or something. And I love a good gay.

I play the new Tomb Raider games when I want to get into the lore.

I’ve been trying to figure out who Jeremy Bradshaw reminds me of, until it struck me.

He’s literally Lara Croft from Tomb Raider (specifically the reboots)

Level with me:

They’re both academics motivated by the loss of their father at a young age, birthing a deep- seated obsession for Answers and reject the supernatural (until faced with overwhelming evidence) and are prone to hypocrisy.

Their stubbornness and arrogance makes them difficult to work with, social skills not being “up-to-par”.

They both give off strong Asexual vibes, due to neither showing interest towards others in a romantic way.

Both also give off autistic vibes (on the spectrum, at least) which would explain their lack of social skills.

They have one friend that they’re often at odds with but undoubtedly trust like family (i.e. Vipin and Jonah)

They have suggested mommy issues.

Both are in dire need of psychological help.

But ultimately have hearts of gold to a damn fault and need hugs.
