This is my team for a majority of my journey through . My Starter is my Eevee, Lovie. The outfit I wear is loosely based on Leaf's outfit. The Pokemn that I have on hand during Mewtwo Strikes back are Lovie(Eevee), Primo(Primeape), Dot(Parasect), Lapi(Lapras), Fireball(Flareon)and Sparks(Jolteon)

Lovie's known moves: Dig, Swift, Bite, Reflect and Mimic. She was given to me as a Starter.

Primo's known moves: Low Kick, Screech, Fury Swipes, Mega Punch and Bide. I caught him on Route 23. He evolved just before challenging the Vermillion Gym.

Zippy's known moves: Thunderbolt, Agility, Flash, Body Slam and Thunder Wave. I caught him in the Viridian Forest. He evolved in 'The Battling Eevee Brothers'.

Dot's known moves: Leech Life, Slash, Growth, Spore, Solarbeam. I caught her at Mt. Moon. She evolved during my battle against Lt. Surge's Raichu,

Fireball's known moves: Flamethrower, Leer, Smog, Double Team and Bite. He, along with Sparks and Tide, were given to me by my paternal grandparents. I evolved them immediately.

Lapi's known moves: Ice Beam, Bubble Beam, Mist, Confuse Ray and Body Slam. She was given to me by the president of Silph Co.

(If MB would be a bird Pokémon he would be a Talonflame, a Blaziken or a Moltres for a fire type or a Kilowatterl or a Zapdos for an electeic type- Or if we're keeping him as a bat Pokémon, it's a Noivern or a Lunala like Midnight)

(Blue could be a Riolu or its evolved form, Lucario cuz doggy-)

(Pico will obviously be some kind of reptile Pokémon- I'm in a dilemma of making him a Scrafty, a Krookodile or a Drizzile :/)

(I'm not too sure on what Girlfriend would be, but she could be a Gardevoir or a Ninetails)

(Since HS is added into this, I'll add the rest of the corruptions lol- Both CB and HCB will be two twin Umbreons (shiny form), Noise will be a Banette or a Gengar, Funsie will be a Houndoom and Hunter will be a Sceptile)

Stay or Betray?

I have saw the video of the SDCC trailer of the new Steven universe episodes and this makes me think that what if Lapis betray Steven and the Crystal Gems or Stay and fight along side them.

I imagined that Lapis will betray the Gems, so I drew her using psychic powers against Steven (even though psychic powers is not hers, it’s water). The second page was inspired by the scene of the first Pokemon movie where Ash Ketchum was about to punch Mewtwo but it used psychic powers to stop Ash.

some thoughts on jasper’s fighting style

yknow since i've been playing pokemon a lot lately, i came to think what the gems stats would be, just for fun. what their offense / defense / speed balance would be like... you don’t have to know pokemon btw. the question is just. which gems are more defensive (can take a hit), which are more fast, and which are offensive (can hit very hard)? and i came to an interesting conclusion on jasper.

jasper's offense would probably be her weakest stats.

not because they're not great - they are! she's op, well-rounded and can throw some Very strong punches and lift Very heavy things - but just because where she shines even better is her defense and speed.

like. what’s more op. that she can punch garnet relatively hard and garnet gets back up, or that she can survive everything that’s been thrown at her?

her speed is also frequently underestimated - people acted like she's slower than garnet, but she's not really? with her comet charge, she is much faster. but that speed is harder to control properly, so her 'default' speed is slightly slower.

but she can be absurdly fast - just look at crack the whip. i think jasper moves a little slower when she's stressed... but when she's not too anxious, feeling confident, she has no qualms showboating about how Very fast she is.

basically, if i were to compare her to a legendary pokemon, i wouldn't go with mewtwo or rayquaza. i'd go with lugia. sure, its offenses are impressive, but its *really* there to take every hit you can throw at it + be fast. 

and re: moving slower when she's stressed - it's subtle, but it feels deliberate? 

like... despite being socialized to have a Fight response to stress, her natural instinct is actually to Freeze and observe. jasper is someone who takes action - because she has to be - but there's this slight analytical delay. which it sometimes feels like she's trying to suppress.

i think this is expressed a few times - in earthlings especially. when amethyst whips her and her eyes widen is like the Big Twauma moment... but how she reacts after that, how slow-moving she is and how she tries to cover it up by letting amethyst wail at her while she's recovering, feels like the real giveaway.

you could argue that’s a special exception, she was clearly processing something internally... but i'd argue she 'pauses' a few moments while fighting garnet & smoky too. and also after lapis' speech in a@s, there's a Delay before she really reacts. 

of course, we’ve known since jailbreak she's observant - both of.situations, and the people in it. the difference is really, that’s something she tries to suppress once she’s finally decided to fight (which, as proven consistently in “the return”, “gem hunt”, “crack the whip” and “earthlings”, is not her first reaction to a situation. her first reaction is usually to wait. observe. not fight needlessly).

basically, jasper is someone who, while fast, generally likes to avoid rushing in or fight without purpose. when stressed, she will act, but she also wants more processing time than she gives herself. she forces herself to push through it.

oh and her in cym is like. All This, The Whole Scene. that reinforces it for me. she's very stressed & slow, but trying to push through. that’s her showing more obviously how she feels when struggling to compute.

Well, I never came up with anything for my birthday on my own. A friend of mine suggested that I send them a pairing that I liked each day.
