I've been a ballerina for 16 years now, I take ballet classes six days a week, about 15-20 hours of dance total (technique class, pointe class, rehearsals, once-a-week-jazz) and do about three full company shows a year. I've been the Sugar Plum Fairy twice, Myrtha the Willi Queen from Giselle, the Rat Queen, Clara, and Dewdrop (also twice) from the Nutcracker, the Cheshire Cat, and Hippolyta from a Midsummer Night's Dream, among other roles. Right now I'm practicing for the Witch in Hansel and Gretel and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

there is a graveyard of dead pointe shoes in a big plastic box under my bed from over the years.

after contemplating for MONTHS, i decided to start seriously trying out digital art again. it's a little hard to do rn since all I'm using is my itty bitty laptop and mouse, but i was getting so sick of traditional art that i legitimately stopped caring how hard it was- i wanted to be like the cool art kids 😔
