Lanternuary again!
It's that time of year, when the forest of Over the Garden Wall welcomes a fresh crop of stories and art inspired by the Unknown's spooky antagonist. Starting January 2022 and going through February, use the #lanternuary2022 and #lanternuary tags to share that beautiful creativity!
Play in the leaves of a new AU, explore character dynamics, and enjoy the forest's bounty. Give us those delectable Beast tales, some Beast!Wirt (or other Beast!characters), Beastnoch, and Beast-related art. Like last year, only Poetree and Pinescone are excluded (these pairings have their own separate events).
Go forth and succumb to the soil of the earth!

#lanternuary#Lanternuary2022#based off weird idea I had#What if the Beast was not the only Devourer of Hope#In OTGW hope is an energy source#so it would be reasonable to believe that other creatures are capable of eating hope and such#so my theory is#the turtles are minor predator#they roam the land searching for lost souls#they also seem to have the ability to use other creatures as vessels#Black Turtles a minor predator to all creatures of all sizes#rivalled only by the Beast#baby turtles search out edelwood stumps#and eat the dark sap oil stuff#while older turtles search out vessels#anyways the tree remains are feasted upon by smaller turtles#while the main trunk is turned into oil for the Beast's use#just a thought#OTGW
