Yes, among other things, I do think this was a test of sorts. YG didn't seem to have confidence in BB in the days leading up to this, and I do suspect that with this one song and video they were giving BB just one chance to prove themselves... again. To show that they still have “it” and that there is still demand for them. Now? A recent report has YG saying "trust has been reaffirmed" 🙄 Even among VIPs there was a sense of deep uncertainty, not about the success of the song but about what it might mean for the future of the group. What message it might hold.

One of the most telling signs of this lack of confidence was the absence of promotion from YG (which they've acknowledged, as if it's something they're now proud of, praising BB for earning this success "on the merits of the music alone" ugh) as well as the tentative way the members themselves approached it in the days leading up to it, especially TOP, who until the day before shared next-to-nothing about it. Well, Daesung was the exception, with his D'splay vids confirming the announcement, analyzing the release date, and playfully "guessing" the melody (btw did y'all catch him singing the tune to Auld Lang Syne? As if ushering in a new year, and a new beginning)...

Anyway, I'd say they passed the test. With flying colors. And I hope that means we and BB won't be left waiting too long for a follow-up -- for what comes next.

[100518 - NEWS] BIGBANG & SEUNGRI Placed at China QQ Music’s Top 10 List of Digital Album Sales… The Only Korean Artists on the List

[헤럴드POP=박서현기자] SEUNGRI and BIGBANG were placed at China Tencent QQ Music’s Top 10 List in Digital Album Sales of 2018.

SEUNGRI, who was ranked at no. 8 celebrated the good news with his fans. On the 3rd (local time), SEUNGRI held the fan meeting titled ‘FACE TO FANS – [THE GREAT SEUNGRI] in STAR HALL KITEC Hong Kong to meet his local fans.

The fan meeting was held to commemorate the success of SEUNGRI’s first official album ‘THE GREAT SEUNGRI’ in China Tencent QQ Music.

According to QQ Music, SEUNGRI’s ‘THE GREAT SEUNGRI’ was ranked at no. 1 in the annual digital album sales list for 2018. BIGBANG’s ‘FLOWER ROAD’ was placed at no. 2 with 1.55 million copies. BIGBANG and SEUNGRI were the only Korea artists listed on the top 10, proving their unrivaled presence and popularity in China.

The fan meeting venue was filled with approximately 1,500 fans and had various corners from talking to gaming, dance battle, and cake cutting to celebrate the success of SEUNGRI’s album. SEUNGRI and the fans shared the good news together by cutting the cake that read 119,469, which is the number of total sales of ‘THE GREAT SEUNGRI’ through QQ Music.

SEUNGRI performed point choreography moves for the fans himself, leading them to participate in the dance battle. It is said that the scene was amicable throughout, with even young children actively participating. SEUNGRI closely communicated with the fans in Mandarin and Cantonese, which made their relationships more intimate.

SEUNGRI stated, “I’ve been receiving love and support from so many people for the past 10 years”. “We have different languages and cultures, but I’m so happy we can meet and enjoy like this” in Chinese.

He continued, “I would like to tell you that I am grateful, and I promise you I will be with you forever”. “I promise I will return with all members of BIGBANG as one. Will you wait for us?”.

SEUNGRI is currently actively communicating with the public and his fans through his solo tour and appearances on various TV programs. Members of BIGBANG including T.O.P, G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG excluding SEUNGRI are currently serving their military duties.

DreamLog #003: Randolph

First Scene

Mam Cora's house, katabi daw ng Lets do it! Salon. dumaan ako, tapos bday pala niya.. kwentuhan kami konte tapos umalis na ako - - before that, may aattendan daw ako na seminar, nag pack ako ng mga damit ko.. over night lang un pero ang dami kong dala.. inaasar daw ako ni Charm and Danica, tapos naka uniform daw ako na pang high school..

So ayun na nga, nadaanan ko bahay ni mam.. dumaan ako. Eh bday pala niya .. nung paglabas ko ng bahay, sa tapat ng 4knots, nakita ko si Catherine, ung dark skinned girl na classmate ko, naka-angkas daw siya sa tricycle na naka park, and naka uniform din siya, pero ibang school!!!.. Nag catch up kami, and then nung paalis na ako, dumating ung ibang classmates namin . Sila Jerwin, Elizer, Joniel, and si Randolph. Naka uniform din sila, old HS uniform namin!!!... hndi ko na matandaan names ng iba.. I asked kung gusto nila batiin si mam Cora. And i said pa daw na "bilang president, I say, tara na puntahan natin si Mam Cora!".

So ayun, binati namin siya, may someone na may hawak ng bote ng Sprite tapos nilagyan ng kandila, struggle daw pag sindi ng kandila.. Anyways, nung tapos na, palabas na kami, hawak ni Ran ung bewang ko while nag lalakad kami, tapos sabi niya ihahatid na daw nya ako. Tapos, magka hawak kamay kami na naglalakad. Nung nasa may kanto na kami, naiwanan ko pala ung nga bags ko, so binalikan namin.

Second scene

Nasa apartment ko kami... may mga nakahiwang gulay-gulay sa labas.. pero wala si Karyl.. tapos while nag ku-kwentuhan kami, may kumatok sa gate. Pinuntahan ko.. si mom niya pala yun..

Tapos kwento-kwento siya, asked niya if may umuupa na sa mga katabing apartment ko, sabi ko vacant ung dalawa..

Sumandal siya dun sa lababo nung 2nd apartment. Kwento siya kung bakit nag annullment sila Ran and wife.. tango-tango lang ako, pero hndi ko maintindihan yung kinukwento niya.. parang may other anak si ate before naging sila ni Ran??? biglang dumating ung roomate ko.. si Daesung pala!!!!! HAHA

Tapos, un derecho si mom niya sa apartment, sinalubong siya ni Ran. Ang kalat daw ng apartment ko, mega tupi ako ng mga kumot, ung isang kumot ko pa, ka-print ung umbrella ko na blue haha

Nasa parang resort kami, with family, naliligo ako dun sa make shift na shower area, bamboo ung mga walls, tapos ang tagal ko daw maligo. May time limit pala.. tapos may ate na lumapit sa 'kin while naliligo, ang sabi, 30 mins na daw ako doon. Across the street, may ate na may hawak na papel may nakasulat na 30 mins!.. haha ayun. So, pag tapos ko, balik ako ng room namin, nag pa-pack na yung mga family members ko. Tapos si Ran, dadalhin niya dapat ung mga gamit ko, pero hinila siya ng mother niya.. lakad sila, nauna sila sa  paglalakad, kasabay ko family ko.. eh may isang room pa pala kami na lilipatan (yata?). ako may dala ng susi, so inunahan ko sila na maglakad, nakatingin sa akin mom niya while nag bubukas ako ng susi.. tapos si Ran, sad daw..

Ang weird

Funny story, classmate kami ni Ran since Grade 1, 'till 4th year HS.. hindi ko alam kung may gusto siya sa akin, pero naalala ko, one time, sinabi niya na buti pa daw ung mga nanliligaw sa akin, hindi ko pinsan.. kasi.... pinsan ko siya. 

That was more than a decade ago. Yun.

[NEWS] Ketiadaan BIGBANG Dalam Industri Musik Setelah T.O.P Bergabung Dengan Kepolisian Tidak Akan Lama... Member Lainnya Akan Terus Tampil

BIGBANG tidak pernah berhenti. Meskipun salah satu membernya, T.O.P, akan menghilang sementara dari industri musik karena bergabung dengan kepolisian untuk wajib militernya pada bulan Februari, keempat member lainnya akan terus tampil sebagai unit ataupun individual. Keempat member lainnya, kecuali T.O.P, pernah bekerja pada keadaan yang sama setiap kali T.O.P sibuk syuting film. Meskipun fans untuk sementara waktu tidak dapat melihat tim lengkap dari BIGBANG, namun mereka tidak akan berhenti tampil untuk fans.

Pertama, G-Dragon dan Taeyang sedang mempersiapkan perilisan solo mereka. YG mengatakan, “Waktu yang pasti untuk perilisan solo G-Dragon dan Taeyang belum ditentukan, namun solo mereka telah dikonfirmasi. Pengerjaan perilisan solo mereka sedang dilakukan.”

BIGBANG adalah grup musisi-idol dimana membernya dapat tampil sebagai penyanyi solo. G-Dragon selalu mendapatkan kesuksesan untuk perilisan solonya, yang pencapaiannya dapat dibandingkan atau bahkan lebih baik daripada BIGBANG. Taeyang selalu berkonsentrasi pada BIGBANG dan musik. Ia pernah mengatakan, “BIGBANG adalah keluarga saya. Kehidupan saya tanpa BIGBANG tidak ada artinya.” Diperkirakan bahwa Taeyang akan memberikan potensi dan bakatnya dengan melakukan comeback di semester pertama tahun ini.

Daesung akan memulai tur dome solo Jepangnya. Daesung adalah satu-satunya member dari antara grup idol Korea yang dapat melakukan tur dome solo di Jepang. Ini dapat terjadi karena Daesung selalu bekerja keras dengan semangat untuk musik. Daesung telah menunjukkan selera humor dan kejenakaannya dalam acara hiburan TV seperti “Family Has Come”. Konser solonya selalu penuh dengan tawa penonton karena ia selalu menunjukkan keahliannya berbicara dan bakatnya.

Tur dome solo Jepang Daesung tahun ini akan dihadiri oleh total 200.000 fans selama 4 konser yang akan dilangsungkan di 2 kota: Seibu Prince Dome pada tanggal 15 dan 16 April, dan di Kyocera Dome, Osaka pada tanggal 22 dan 23 April. Jumlah fans yang diperkirakan hadir dalam tur dome Daesung ini membuktikan kuatnya fanbase Daesung di Jepang.

Untuk Seungri, belum ada jadwal resmi yang dikonfirmasi. Namun, kombinasi G-Dragon, Taeyang, dan Seungri selalu menghasilkan kesuksesan. Fans memberikan perhatian akan kejutan yang akan diberikan oleh produser utama YG, Yang Hyun Suk, dari keempat anggota BIGBANG.

Oleh karena itulah, BIGBANG tidak akan pergi jauh dari fans, hingga pesan selamat berpisah untuk fans pada konser terakhirnya seperti tidak berarti. Semua member BIGBANG adalah penyanyi solo yang sangat berpengaruh bila dibandingkan dengan grup idol lainnya, bisa dibilang seperti versi penyanyi dari film Hollywood, Avengers.

Kpop: bigbang

Haha! How did i end up here. Sobrang stressed ko na din talaga siguro na kahit yung mga bagay na sinabi kong diko gagawin ever, eto na brad isinasabihah ko na. Nagpapalamon sa sistema. Hindi pa rin naman ako yung tipong mag a-eye liner or bibili ng mga damit nila or gagayahin mga fashion style nila kasi brad sila lang ang makakapag bigay hustisya sa mga weirdo nilang damit. Kaso nakita ko kasi.. well base lang naman sa mga nakikita ko online saka onting stalk and research, grabe yung passion. Grabe yung angas. Saka effort kada kanta every choreography. Hindi lang ng bigbang pati din yung iba. Kaso bigbang kasi ako talagang na starstruck e. Kaya ayun minamahal ko na si gd, taeyang, top, seungri at daesung. Haha. Sa una kinausap ko dn yung mga iilang kakilala kong kpop e, pano sila nagstart ganun, parehas dn e. Nakakatuwa sila magperform e. Parang umaarte din parang movie dn na pinapanuod. Anyway dko naman to pinost or nagrant para ayain dn kayo, gusto ko lang may basahin kapag bored ako at naisipan kong buksan tong tumblr ko. Annyeong! :—)
