Following the end of World War II in Europe and the liberation of Denmark from German occupation in May 1945.

A Danish sergeant, Carl Rasmussen is the supervisors of a group of young German prisoners that are handed over to the Danish Army and sent to the west coast, where they are trained to remove the minesthat the Germans had buried in the sand.

I saw this movie, and personally, is one of my favourite historical movie ever, and I've seen some.

If you're a fan on these kind of movie, please watch it, it's not a famous movie, the director is not that famous either but believe me, it is worthy.

Immediately after the end of WWII thousands of German POW’s, many of them just young boys, were forced to clear the millions of landmines off the coast of Denmark. It was extremely dangerous and as many as half of them lost their lives or limbs. Was this in itself a war crime? Inspired by true events this Danish/German film is intense and thought provoking. The cast is astounding and unbelievably talented. Its clear why this film won so many awards and nominations.

Alemães são forçados a desarmar minas. São garotos e só podem usar as mãos. Rapaz. Estou de boca aberta. É Segunda Guerra? Sim. Mas que história foi essa? Nunca ouvi falar disso. A galera pegou uns moleques alemães. E por ódio no pós guerra. Obrigaram jovens de 14, 16 anos catarem todas. Todas as minas das praias dinamarquesas. Isso foi bizarro. Não estavam nem aí se eram crianças. Drama brutal. Mesmo sabendo dos campos de concentração. Esse diretor é competente. Sabe manter a tensão. Usa planos detalhe. Corta a trilha. Deixa a respiração e os metais. E mostra belas imagens. Consegue segurar o filme. Apesar de ser um filme curto. E já foi notado. Graças aos inúmeros prêmios. Hollywood chamou. Tema da Segunda Guerra. Mas no Japão. Já está rodando com Jared Leto. Todas as atuações contribuem. Os meninos e o sargento. Mandam bem. Existem grupos com menos atenção. Mas Ok. De ruim. A mudança de postura de um personagem. Muito rápida. Aceitei que ele tenha problemas passados. Já que nada foi mostrado. Só apresentado. Li que o diretor disse: “Toda nação tem um lado ruim, obscuro. Pesquisei a da Dinamarca e encontrei isso”. E concluiu: “O filme tem que restaurar a humanidade em nós”. No Oscar 2017. Indicado a filme estrangeiro. Dinamarquês. Mais um vindo daquelas bandas. Estão mandando bem. Merecido. Nos últimos 10 anos. 5 indicações. 1 vitória. “Se eles tem idade para lutar na guerra. Eles também tem idade para morrer”. Te lembra algo?
