Catching Soap taking pics of you in an airport terminal...
You try to ignore it. Maybe he was taking a picture of the airport in general, maybe it was a selfie- either way, you’re not about to confront a man that looks like bootcamp and protein powder incarnate in the case that he is.
Once boarded, you find yourself beside a kind-looking older woman that lets you have the window seat, the prior incident readily forgotten as you settle in. A flight attendant crouches beside her, but you pay it no mind, too busy prepping your in-flight comforts to watch on while the woman gathers her belongings and vacates the seat.
You lean back, waiting for take-off.
"-here you are, Sergeant- once again, we're deeply sorry about the seating mix-up with your partner- a-and thank you for your service, we hope you'll continue to fly with us."
That snaps you out of your thoughts.
Looking up, you find the man from earlier staring down at you with a pleased grin. After a beat, his head swings back around to the flight attendant.
"Dinnae worry 'bout tha'- just glad it got sorted."
He tosses his carry-on overhead, arms bulging with the movement before he plops himself down into the seat beside you, an exasperated grunt passing his lips. He lifts the seperating arm rest, thick legs spreading out so your thighs touch.
"-um?"
He clicks his tongue and jerks his knee into yours. "Saw ye' looking at me in the terminal, would be a shame t'leave ye' be, aye?"

Toraden (5)
Ramjong is the country's second largest city and the country's former capital. Founded in the 10th century by Prince Hosui Mongh, the city continued to serve as the country's de facto cultural capital after the capital was moved to Toriyang in 1800. The city is famous for its defensive walls, gates and numerous historical monuments, including imperial palaces from the 12th and 15th centuries

ive been meaning to ask, how do you make sure your animation syncs up with its audio?
I don’t, actually 😂 I just keep exporting, throwing it into a video editing app, see if it lines up, and if it doesn’t, remove it and adjust and try again! It’s a slow process but I use procreate and there’s no audio input on there so I just take a rough guess over and over

Lita Albuquerque’s exhibition of new work for Earth Skin, on view at Michael Kohn Gallery, includes several dramatic blue paintings and a huge installation piece on the floor of the gallery that grabs your attention the moment you enter the gallery.
From the gallery-
Beginning her career in the 1970s with works that intimately connected her to the earth, Albuquerque’s artistic evolution envelops the cosmos and the space between it and us. Her work emanates from years of practicing the exact science of Kundalini breath technique as well as automatic writing; both drive a deep investigation and scientific inquiry of who we are as individual beings on this planet. Albuquerque further connects to the exactness of physics by a meditation she, and astronomers, call the cosmic address. These daily practices are at the root of her art, precisely positioning self to cosmos. It is those discoveries she embeds in works of art that permit us, the viewer, to experience the connections she has made between these internal and external worlds.
Thinking about the exhibition, Albuquerque writes: Feet dancing above the earth, dancing with fervor, drumming, the increasing drumming of the feet not fragile on the fragile earth.
The wisps of bodies, like skins falling off their frames leaving the planet, the planet strong and our forms ethereal, the strength of us, our feet, on the fragile earth, the wispy lightness of us, detached from the earth, transforming into space.
The earth strong behind us, propelling us upward, giving us her strength, throwing us in the air, while we fly, never falling, the fierce intensity of our rhythm while alive, and the freedom of release from the earth.
Experiments of intensities of emotions and colors, whirling dervishes’ cyclones, Earth Skin is whispered, “Earth Skin” she whispered.
For PST’s Art and Science Collide, Albuquerque transforms the gallery with a titular installation, Earth Skin. A membrane of decomposed granite fills the space creating the illusory sensation of the earth being revealed below the gallery, as if the concrete floor has been meticulously removed. Accompanying this installation is a new series of paintings revolving around the gestures of the body and ancient marks, like a hieroglyphic code only the artist has a key for. With each gesture, Albuquerque embraces the tactile intimacy of painting, reminding us of the power of capturing and transforming the elusive into the material. This installation invites viewers to explore the shared fragility of humanity and earth.
Two of the paintings, pictured below, include poems referencing fellow artist Ana Mendieta, who was known in part for her “earth-body” work and who passed away tragically in 1985.

For more information on Lita Albuquerque and her work Red Canary Magazine recently published an excellent article that is worth a read as well.

batman: no man's land gallery
[ID: a pin-up of Harvey Dent from the shoulders up. He's staring directly at the viewer with a scowl. On his scarred side, the buildings behind him are destroyed while on the other side, the buildings are glistening and complete. The full moon hangs low in the sky directly behind him. END ID]

Okay so boom. In my head @cinamun‘s HoJay recently had their house appraised and was about to take out a loan to do some small renovations since they're now expecting twins. However, thanks to a real estate mogul friend they got an inside track on market projections for the next few years. Prices are going to be bananas and affordable housing is going to be scarce! So, it was advised that now was the best time to sell and upgrade to a larger home and still find a decent price tag.
So here’s the house they’ll be moving to after they get settled once the babies are here.
36 Bayani Place, Hopewell Hills 5br/4bths 30x20 lot valued at §73,918 Classic craftsman style home with original charm and architecture. House could work on larger lot for added yard space for an additional cost. Especially since they would essentially be looking at the exact same view as their current house.
