🌸 try and wear mainly white! and def try to mix in some pastels! white makes you look more kind and if you happen to meet the loyl white also gives the wife effect, look it up! its real! 💍

🌸 style your hair! make and effort its fun! you could also add some hair glitter/shine and hair perfume! (i'll make a rec list for these soon!)

🌸 this stuff is like, wow, did you just come back from a tea party at a magical fairy garden where it was raining cotton candy?! ☁️ ☁️

🌸 i find this to be like my little lucky charm and i think it actually works, but, bring around a tiny picture of your fave forest animal and its like all animals love you and i seem to always get the compliment that i would be a woodland flower princess that talks to animals! lol and animal lover always radiates the most angelic glow ugh!!! 💞🐇

🌸 make sure you are keepin up with your hygiene routine and the best no.1 tip is to be kind!! the kindest people are the most beautiful. (ofc when people take advantage of this kindness, pull back bc they obvi do not deserve your presence!)

This Lancome x Louvre campaign is so controversial because some might start thinking if this is about how Greek goddess are supposed to look like? But they miss the point when they bring poc and compare them to the Ancient Greek statues.

Like no please don't try to compare models from a company to thousands years old marbles that came from Greece that had different looks and beauty standards.

I talked about the Lancome x Louvre campaign in this previous answer.

IMO it's not just about the beauty standards (also Amanda Seyfried who is not poc also does not look like any of these statues at all). But it's so strange that all models they found to embody the statues look nothing like the statues and also that they are using controversially acquired cultural heritage to sell lipstick and eye shadow.

I find it very interesting that there is some uncomfortable shifting from the audience regarding this campaign and the Louvre comes with new explanatory statements every now and again.

Of course, the statements themselves are pure wind, as is typical of most fashion campaigns and the like. The models say big words about Aphrodite or Artemis, they clearly have no idea what they are talking about.

whats does your go to makeup look, look like? what do you use to achieve it?

my go to makeup look is natural to soft glam, my eyeliner isn’t listed but on an edgier day i will wear a black liner with a smoked water line. dolores haze is an inspiration for my daily makeup especially with those blushed cheeks and red lips. also lana del rey and vintage stars

face: for a more dewy look i love the AOA (shopmissa.com) AQUA primer and makeup revolutions hydrate and conceal foundation + concealer or i use the $1 shopmissa pot concealers. if i want a more natural glow from within look, i will use my dior multipurpose palette but for a more mature sophisticated and lifted look i use my colorpop palette because it is more pigmented. The $1 AOA cream blush is if it’s a low effort day. for powder I use either Maybelline Fit Me or Colorpops No Filter Setting Powder.

lips: i LOVE lipgloss, the NYX lip oil is a berry color with a more oily consistency, unlike many glosses just listed as a lip oil. Fenty HEAT gloss in cherry makes your lips look so poppin, and the dior lip oil is honestly really moisturizing. And let me tell you about that AOA $1 skin salve. It comes in many scents and is really moisturizing + put it anywhere. MAC mini lippies too, i got these in a set from TJMAXX

eyes: i usually keep it pretty light with my eyeshadow with pinks, purplish colors, and cool toned or neutral browns. Listed is the Colorpop Rock Candy cool toned palette, the open palette is from hipdot i got it from ipsy, and once again, another $1 AOA product. These little shadow quads are actually decently pigmented, have cute packaging, and so easy to throw in your bag. on a more dramatic day i tend to do my eyeshadow like lana inspired

eyeliners+brows: i use the NYX jumbo on my inner corner for a brightening effect before i apply highlight there. the creme liner in white and the eyeliner pen are also from color pop. i have one in black but it isn’t listed. i love to use sky high mascara avoiding the bottom lashes for a more natural look. For my brows i tend to go more natural with a colorpop pencil and gel.

runner ups: colorpops BFF mascara in the blue shade, they so many colors but when i want to switch it up i apply it to my bottom lashes. the lancome juicy tubes last so long on your lips because it’s thick yet comfortable. LA colors Glossy Lips gloss + blush up cream blush are sooo nice and you can get them from the dollar store. the AOA $1.88 Super glue holds my lashes so good and it’s cheaper than most glues + better i’ve been swearing by it and the brand for YEARS

Sure! In her makeup bag, Effy has: 

A black eye pencil that she uses for her lids and waterline.  For a drugstore option, I’ve recently become obsessed with the  L'Oreal Paris Infallible 16HR Never-Fail Eyeliner.  For high end, I know people really like the Chanel Stylo Yeux Long Lasting Eyeliner, the NARS High-Pigment Longwear Eyeliner, and the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil.

Green/blue eye pencil.  This is the one she’s wearing in the woods scene in 308.  The original was Barry M’s “bold waterproof eyeliner” in Forest Green.  I don’t think they still do that color, but Oasis Blue looks like it would be pretty close.  For higher end, try NARS High-Pigment Longwear Eyeliner in Bright Cobalt or Deep Green, or the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Mainline, Loaded, or LSD.

A smokey colored eyeshadow palette with greys and blacks.  For drugstore, try the NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Shadow Palette in Smokey & Highlight or the ELF Everyday Smoky Eyeshadow Palette.  For a mid-range option, try the Colourpop Blowin’ Smoke Palette.  For high end, try Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow Palette in Smokey Chic.

Mascara is mostly a personal preference, since what works on one person won’t necessarily work on another. For a drugstore option, try the L’ORÉAL Voluminous Volume Building Waterproof Mascara, the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara, or the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara.  I love the Isehan Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara, which is mid-range priced, but you can only get it online.  For a high end option, the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Volumizing Mascara is a classic, as are Lancôme Lash Idôle, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push-Up Lashes and Benefit They’re Real Mascara. 

Light pink blush.  This one will also depend on personal preference, since which blushes will work for you depend on skin tone, but basically you just want something that gives a light wash of color.  For a drugstore blush, try Milani Baked Blush.  For high end, NARS Blush in Orgasm is always a classic.  If you like a liquid blush, try the NARS Liquid Blush, Glossier Cloud Paint, or Maybelline Cheek Heat Blush.  The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Blush is also supposed to be good.

I’m leaving off base products like foundation and concealer, even though I think she uses them, just because they vary so much from person to person.  What works great for a person with fair, cool toned, oily skin might not work at all for someone who has dark, warm toned, dry skin and vice versa.  But if you want help finding those, I’m happy to make some suggestions also.
