Post Marathon Recovery: Step one: Eat delicious brunch (Salmon Benedict at Larchmont Bungalow) with fellow marathon buddy (@mireille.sine). Step two: Enjoy delicious ice cream (Chocolate Caramel Potato Chip Cupcake and Stumpton Coffee with Compartes Love Nuts in a waffle cone from @saltandstraw) while strolling through the neighborhood. Step three: Visit awesome Chiropractic Sports Physican (@cappochiro) for a quick session in the compression boots. Step four: Go for a 3 mile shakeout run averaging a 9'23" pace. 26.2 done. Not the best race overall, but definitely finished stronger than I imagined! My legs went into autopilot for the last 5 miles which was a blessing but also a curse. Today was definitely a mind game with a little physical pain along the way. To top it off, I conquered LA with my brother (plus runner friends) and wouldn't have it any other way! Congrats to all the runners chasing 26.2 today, but thank you to all the volunteers, workers, runners pushing each other and the awesome support team of friends!
