                              TASK 003: MUSINGS GALORE

Welcome to our third task here at thisislakewood! As always, please remember this is completely voluntary, and players don’t need to participate if they don’t wish too. 

Please tag all posts as “lakewood: task”, so everyone here can learn more about the characters each of you have crafted! We look forward to seeing what everyone writes! All posts will be reblogged onto the lakewoodedits page.

This task is something that each player will have to take an in-depth look at television, movie or book characters, mythical creatures, greek mythology, video game characters, and over all personas that deeply reflect the ideals or traits their character has here. It’s a way to find collective muses that we as players can relate to their characters (especially from all our muse-related posts). Players are asked to pick three to five muses to relate to their characters for this task.

Players are encourages to use imagery from Tumblr (make sure if you’re using other character’s gifs that you credit in the tags that they are not made by you. Any needed clarification or simplification on this, please speak to the admins.), create text posts or, find quotes from the linked characters that best reflect the one you’ve created here.

Players can also create detailed text posts, as well as explanation as to why it relates to their character. This will give us a literal ideal to latch onto with everyone’s characters, so feel free to provide as much information as you please!

                             HAPPY NEW YEAR, LAKEWOOD!!

As a present to all of our followers, the admins want to start the year off right with a deeper development of your characters! Below will be the first task for thisislakewood roleplay.

                                                  TASK 001.

In this task we give the player one or the other in terms of options. Learning more about a character doesn’t just come at face value, it comes from the things you don’t see, the things you relate. Safe spaces and personal touches. For this, we’ve created a “hat on a hat” kind of task. Players can choose between the tasks (or if you’re feeling particularly wild, complete both) that you’ve more muse to do.

Players please note:

These tasks are completely voluntary. The primary reason we’re all here is to write, so if you cannot devote time to completing the task, don’t worry about it. It’s our way of aiding players to further deepen each character’s roots into our little town.

                                      HOME SWEET HOME.

Homes are a safe haven, a place where people feel their hearts belong, or terror remains. Homes are where people lay their heads at night, finish their meals, and enjoy time with themselves, or others in their families. For this, we’d like to know where you find your character living in parts of town controlled by majoring cartels (who each hold infinite amounts of wealth in their own right). On each of the families pages (listed under “families”), it does state which cartel lives where, and from that, players can decide where they find themselves. Please note; you do not have to live in the town where your character is associated with the cartel. But we would suggest a bodyguard or two if it’s an enemy end of town.

A second bit to keep in mind, if players are said to live with one another, please reach out to discuss homes (or reblog if someone within your home posts it, and it’s plotted you live there as well.)

The second option is to work on a playlist for your character. It can be a playlist of songs they would listen to, songs that remind you of them, songs that embody them, or a combination of all that. You can post it on Spotify, You Tube or 8tracks, or just add the links to your tracks of choice.

If you wish, include a cover art and a tracklist!
