Actually, it's Michaela. But that's only how my teachers and people that don't know me well call me. Oh, and my parents, if I did something very,very wrong. Then I'm sitting in my room and suddenly my mother yells "MICHAELA" and i know something's up. something very bad.

oh darling, that's so not easy. i have at least 4 different shampoos at home. i think one is with orange; one with rasperry; one with thalassic smell and the last - and to me the best one - with natural herbs that smells like you're outside in summer and the wind is blowing and you smell all the grass and flowers and everything.

Ain't that a kick in the head

This is part 1 of my Captain Swan Secret Shipmate gift. I wasn't sure if i could get anything out today. It is rushed but I really didn't want to leave you without a gift. Happy 9th March LadyMagdalene, Your secret shipmate.

Part 1.

The common hall was quiet today; even with the reclaiming of the Eastern border, the losses of the day had brought few to a celebratory mood. But for those who wanted to drink on a night, where they were sure no more battle would be fought, were welcome to do so. Be it with the sounds of thunder and rain washing away the bloodstains on the grass and dousing the burning houses in the background.

Killian Jones was in need of a drink after having put it off for so long – Come on take a sip, we both know it helps you think better.

Today would be the last day before he’d venture to Her realm, to New York. Regina was quite able when placed in a magic-potent environment and have a wicked witch threatening their hides. They had managed to procure some dried up beans, and along with water from Lake Nostros and Regina’s magic 3 of those beans survived.

“Liquid courage?”

A voice broke through the thunder and the rain and the whirlwind that were Killian Jones’ thoughts. Looking up he found David – although with the return to the Enchanted Forest and the wardrobe change he wasn’t sure if he should be addressing him as Prince Charming now.

“If that explanation suits you.” He drabbled, taking another sip.

He heard David sitting down next to him, a tankard of ale in front of him.

“I’d be the same if it involved Snow.”

Hook snorted, “You actually likening this … quest, to the retrieval of her majesty, your true love? Certainly mate, you are not THAT inebriated.”

A chuckle and a swig of ale, followed by the sound of the tankard hitting the table once again was his reply.

“Just because you’re a pirate and I’m a royal… it doesn’t mean that I can’t hold my liquor.”

Killian’s face turned into a grimace and took another sip. He was a pirate, how could a pirate ever liken to the royal sitting beside him, gain the love the royals shared, let alone have it with his daughter. David might have been joking but he sensed the slip in the mood of his friend.

Yes, he called Hook a friend; it is what nearly a year together in the enchanted forest had transformed them in. The pirate stayed and helped save not only theirs, but their kingdom as well and now… after considerate deliberation, he would be reuniting him with his daughter again. David wanted to remind the pirate that he had heard his confession in the echo cave. He was well aware that when it came to his friend, true love wasn’t far away, that there was hope. But after a day like today, and being who they were and facing tomorrow, he wasn’t going to start on that. He wasn’t going to shake the doubt out of the pirate with just a reminder of his actions, of his words. He was going to tell him the story which Henry had told him was the most epic love story of all time. The story of how Prince Charming and Snow White.

“I wasn’t always royal you know. I used to be a shepherd.”

Killian nearly choked in his drink. Rum, unfortunately not the kind he preferred but it was still better than the ale the prince was drinking.

“You made me waste perfectly good rum with that. Couldn’t you have waited to shock me until after?”

“And miss the look on your face? Doubtful really.” David grinned.

“So marrying the princess made you royal, good for you.”

“Telling a story here mate, you’d do well to listen.”

He raised his hook so David would continue. This time he refrained from drinking, in case he’d get another shocker thrown his way. Rum was too much of a delicacy here, now that the Eastern border has been reclaimed import was possible again. Of course now he’d be off to the land without Happy Endings. He pushed back a sigh, he need to keep hope. Even in the land without happy endings, Hope could make it possible.

“I was a shepherd and, well I had a twin brother, obnoxious type I told you. He was taken by king George and raised as Prince James. He reached an untimely dead and I was ...persuaded to take his place. I met Snow when driving to the castle with my betrothed. She stole from us.”

“The bandit Snow?  Now why am I not surprised… knowing your daughter and all.” He mused which actually earned him a grin from David.

“I found her later, trapped her and told her she could either help me retrieve the stolen goods or I’d hand her over to Regina.”

“A bargaining chip. I am seeing remarkable traits that you’ve carried onto your daughter, mate.” Killian replied, immediately transported to a memory he had revisited often since their last goodbye, and even before. The woman who bested him, tied him to a tree and told him he had to cooperate or she’d leave him to the ogres so they could swallow him whole.

“I saved her from the Queen’s men and after made our way to the troll bridge.”

“You saved her? Despite the stealing and all?”

“It seemed like the honorable thing to do.” David said and once again, Killian was brought back to one of those memories that had been thought about in the past year. Were these signs… could it be?

Killian paid close attention, while gazing at his draft of rum that was nearly finished, how eerily similar some of their experiences were with the women they loved. Love? Yes. Killian wasn’t afraid to admit that.

“Dave… when … when did you realize you loved her?”

David sighed as he swallowed the last of his tankard, how long had they been talking? He couldn’t understand how Killian hadn’t gotten up and wandered off when he droned on about him and Snow.

“I don’t know mate. It was just… there.” He heard him chuckle and Killian glanced to his side, seeing him smile wistfully.

  "It isn't true love until she hits you over the head with something." charming mused, remembering his and Snow’s meeting.

Killian blinked in surprise but couldn’t help the smile that came over his own lips. Because all he could think of now was his Swan on her back, knocking him over the head with a golden compass, besting him once again.

He emptied his tankard, setting it back down on the table before rising and putting a hand on his friend’s shoulder.

“I’ll bring her home. You have my word mate.”

Because for the first time in this past week, he’d begun to hope again.
