Congratulations to my 2nd and 3rd favorite members of the Shadow Court, Isador and Nyra, for fully going 'screw this' and having an endless queer beach vacation if you don't recruit them.

I've noticed something about the Shadow "corruptibles."
The members of the Shadow Court who are truly evil and truly loyal to the Dreadlord have horns. Duchess Xenia, Countess Zathra, Baron Vostraz. Even Duke Erthrax has "horn" like extensions on his armor.
However, "less" corrupted members like Baroness Isador and Lady Nyra do not have horns.
It's also worth noting that Nia and Aerin do not have horns in their dark form either. Though one could argue only corrupted elves can grow horns.
I personally think the more corrupted you become the more your features start to turn monstrous. Your outside begins to reflect your inside.

Do Nerada stones... not make sense?
I have two areas of concern: it does not seem to do what they say it does, and why the hell does Aerin have one in his chest?
1.Nia says, “It absorbs the dark energy in a corrupted person, allowing them to mask their true nature." Aerin seems to confirm that immediately after, when he is very happy to contradict the group on other things. So I'm assuming it's true.
But it... doesn't do that? At least not that well. Aerin is fully, visibly corrupted at that point. Black veins, billowing Shadow and everything. Maybe it hides the magical aura but not the physical transformation? But that doesn't seem super useful.
Maybe it has like, a maximum capacity that the Blade overwhelmed? Maybe it's a kind of 'Shadow battery' and that's why it seems to perpetuate the Shadow in Aerin until it's removed. But that brings me to the next thing.
2.In the TTRPG, Aerin doesn't have a Nerada stone item. Which I think makes sense, because it's fused to his chest. Not exactly 'equipment' like an herbalism kit or ring.
But Isador and Nyra also have Nerada stones! They're wearing them (Isador has a "Gold dipped Nerada diadem" and Nyra has a "Nerada stone necklace"). Why do they get jewelry when Aerin had to have it fused to his body? As a means to keep him in line better, because he's new and a human? Mean prank from the Dreadlord?
What use are Isador and Nyra getting out of the Nerada stones? They're not hiding anything! It serves as an arcane/spell focus for both of them, so maybe the Nerada stone thing is just a perk they no longer get any use out of?
And Xenia doesn't have one, when she was convincingly pretending to be Kaya for quite a while! In a city where literally everyone has magic.
Does a Nerada stone just stop you from fully losing your mind? Is there some other benefit?
Am I fundamentally misunderstanding what corruption is?
I'm trying to make it all make sense, but I am not succeeding! Help!
(Final note not really relevant to this whole thing I just need to put out there- when you get a high res image of Aerin, his scar is like, really lovingly rendered. White scar tissue, red skin, black veins (? I've also read them as cracks), small circular scars that look like burns from embers. Someone had fun at work and I'm happy for them.)
