RIP #MichaelKWilliams found dead in his NY apartment today. An actor who gave himself fully to his art, Michael played complicated men so elegantly, you always saw their flaws as our humanity. Few actors ececute with perfection the balance necessary to make Omar Little (@hbo #TheWire), Bobby McCray (@netflix #WhenTheySeeUs) Jimmy (#LackawanaBlues), Leonard Pine (@sundancetv #HapAndLeonard), JackGee (@hbo #Bessie), Montrose Freeman (@hbo @lovecrafthbo) and #ChalkyWhite all important fictional characters in TV History while humanizing the diversity of the Black Experience in American history. His willingness to speak frankly about his personal experiences was inspiring.
