Pink Skies and Silk
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jareth x reader
AN: It has been a HOT minute since I’ve actually posted any writing so that’s my bad. Hope some smut makes up for it!
Summary: You’ve been missing your boyfriend and he feels it’s his duty to make up for lost time.
Warnings: AFAB reader (no pronouns actually used), penetrative sex, praise kink, unprotected sex (stay safe y'all), creampie, little bit of possessiveness
The labyrinth was quiet today, it was a stark difference from the usual buzzing of life throughout it. The flowers were finally in bloom after a long and frigid winter. You could never truly get over the beauty of the labyrinth, it was otherworldly. The only thing more beautiful than the labyrinth was your boyfriend, Jareth.
He had been away at meetings all day and the longing for him was obvious. It was likely you wouldn't see him till the sun started setting, so you decided to lounge around the gardens with a good book till then.
Finally when the sky started being painted colors of pinks and oranges did you start making your way back. Upon entering the castle it was clear there wasn't a soul in sight. Not a goblin nor Jareth.
Walking up the cobblestone steps you entered you and Jareth's shared room. It too was empty.
You stripped yourself of the clothes you had worn all day and made your way towards the bathroom. Starting the bath you added a variety of sweet smelling oils and perfumes. As soon as you stepped into the warm water, your body immediately started to release the tension you didn't know you were holding.
As soon as the water started getting cold you reluctantly decided it was about time to get out. You wrapped yourself in the fluffy towel you had set out. Once you were dry you dressed yourself in a low cut silk nightgown. Usually you would save the garment for a night where Jareth would give you his undivided attention and love, however since Jareth was nowhere to be found you decided to wear it just to feel confident in yourself.
Leaving the steam filled room, you found the man who had just been occupying your thoughts lazing on your shared bed in nothing but his trousers. God, he was certainly an enticing sight sitting there reading his leather bound book. Now you were immensely thankful for what you had decided to wear tonight.
Jareth's eyes shot up from his book to meet yours like a predator to prey. The air got caught in your throat and suddenly you felt extremely warm.
Taking a step towards the bed, Jareth sat up a little more, marking the page in his book to soon be forgotten. You decided to let him come to you.
Seeing that you weren't moving anytime soon, Jareth slipped out of bed and sauntered towards you, like predator to prey. The sight of you alone was enough to make him hot, and yet here you were in your short nightgown looking heavenly, he needed you. Your breath started to pick up.
"To what do I owe the pleasure, my love." His voice was low and his hands planted firmly on your hips. Your breath was coming in short puffs as you murmured, "Mm, just missed you is all."
Jareth turned his head as he nipped at your neck, causing you to grip his shoulders. "Well, I'm here now. I believe I should make up for lost time, yes?" He whispered against your ear, causing you to involuntary shiver. All that you could muster was a breathless "Yeah" in his ear.
Finally, Jareth brought his head up to kiss you firmly. The kiss was long and left you feeling light, causing you to push your chest more firmly into his. Just as quick, Jareth pushed into you as well. The hands on your waist started to bunch the silk of your nightgown up higher. You could feel how hard he had gotten through his pants where he was pressing into the soft plush of your stomach.
The temperature in the room seemed to increase tenfold judging by the sweat starting to form on your brow. You pushed impossibly closer to him causing him to let out a low groan. He started to sneak one of his hands down to your thighs, using the other to bunch up your nightgown around your hips. You shifted your hips, starting to get impatient with the aching in your cunt. Jareth squeezed your hip a little to keep you in place,
“Patience, love.” He punctuated his sentence with a sensual kiss to your lips that lasted all too short. Finding that words had started to fail you, you tilted your head up and bit at Jareth’s neck just the way he liked.
Quickly, Jareth turned you both to the side so he could pick you up and place you on the soft cream colored sheets. He slotted his thin waist between your thighs and you arched your back slightly, “Jareth… please…” you whined, the sound was incredibly endearing to his ears. He threads his fingers through your hair, making you tip your head back so he could continue to nip at your neck, groaning as he did so.
He brought his hands down, running along the length of your body before softly rubbing the inside of one of your thighs. You moaned his name in his ear making him grunt and push his lips against you with hot passion. He runs his thumb along your clothed core making you shudder and grip his shoulders before he pulls his head back to look you in the eye and ask, “Is this okay, Love?”
You adored how even after all this time, no matter how many times you both were intimate, he would always still ask for your consent. You immediately nodded your head frantically of course, eager for all he had to give you. Without a second thought, he pulled the edge of your underwear aside to tentatively push his middle finger into your heat. At the sound of your pleasured gasp, he began to thrust his finger carefully but with more confidence that he was making you feel good. Soon he started to add a second finger, curling them and preparing you for him.
After a few moments of soft moans and the wet noise of his fingers entering your cunt, you started getting impatient, his fingers not enough. “Jareth… please… I need you… All of you.”
A devilish smile stretched across his face at your begging as he pulled his fingers from your drenched cunt to suck them clean. Your face flushed at his erotic actions, you reached to pull him closer to kiss him heatedly. He leaned back on his heels to start undoing the buckle of his pants. Once that was undone he got up to remove his pants and boxers altogether. He stood before where you lay completely bare on the bed, like some sort of divine being that came to give you the greatest of pleasures and love.
Without procrastination he got back on the bed, your legs resting on his thighs as they pushed your legs further apart. He strokes himself slowly twice, groaning at the sight of your glistening cunt. He had to resist the urge to plunge his cock into you and fuck you into the mattress, rather he wanted to take his time with you.
“You’re so pretty, all spread out like this.” His voice is tight as he guides the tip of his cock through your slick, bringing the tip to rub at your clit making you gasp out. “Jareth, please, I need you inside me.” You whimpered in pleasure when he finally started to push the tip of himself inside of you. His pace was agonizingly slow as he finally bottomed out, giving you a moment to adjust to his size. Once you give the go ahead, he starts shallowly thrusting, drawing low moans out of you.
Jareth moves his hands to grip at your hips, guiding your hips to meet his thrusts. “Ah, you take me so well Y/N… So good for me.” His chest is covered in a sheen of sweat and you can see the muscles in his stomach and arms flexing as he makes love to you. You cry out in pleasure when he grips the underside of one of your thighs to throw it over his shoulder, pounding deeper into you with this new angle. He brings the hand that isn’t holding your leg down to rub tight circles on your clit causing your back to arch and you cry out his name.
At the sound of his name leaving your lips in such a way he picks up the pace of his thrusts, low grunts and pants leaving his throat. Your thighs begin to tremble as an orgasm slowly starts to root in your lower belly. “Jareth, just like that… I’m gonna-”
“Cum for me… You’re so good, finish for me sweetheart.” His thrusts started to turn erratic as he worked to bring you to your release. Once that coil in your belly snapped, his thrusts lost all sense of rhythm as he chased his own release. He bottomed out as he released his load into you, painting your insides with his cum. You both stayed like that for a few moments as you rode out your highs, trying to catch your breath.
When he finally pulled out of you, you could feel his hot load leak out of your spent pussy. Jareth leaned back to watch it, completely entranced with the sight before him. He wanted no other to see you this way, he decided now that he was going to marry you. You would rule his kingdom by his side and he would have it no other way.

18+ MINORS AND THOSE WITHOUT AGE IN BIO DNI
warnings: Jareth jumpscares the reader a bit, Hoggle is a bit crass, reader kind of throws themself at Jareth, a few double intendres but they are mentioned in the movie so idk
AN: Happy Valentine's Day! My annual Labyrinth story is here!
"Run the labyrinth he said. 13 hours he said." I muttered to myself as I trudged along through the Goblin City. So far, none of the goblins had come after us. Hoggle trailed behind me, rubbing his hands. I still held his precious jewels but I doubt he cared about them anymore. "What are you muttering about back there Hoggle?" I looked over my shoulder at him, fed up with the noise he was making. Not knowing if the rest of the goblins would jump out because of it had set me on edge.
"What are you going to do if you get to the castle?" He finally asked. I shrugged. "I mean you're leaving right?" I nodded as he sped up to walk alongside me. "But I thought you wanted to do Jareth." I stumbled and Hoggle looked at me, hands out to try to catch me.
"What?!" I exclaimed. Hoggle was wringing his hands again. "Who said anything about me wanting to do Jareth?"
"I just thought..." He trailed off. "The way the two of you interact with each other..." I sighed and gazed up at the castle.
"Hoggle, it wouldn't work. He belongs here in the Goblin City. I have to go back. I should never have said that to my friend." I shook my head, clearing it and banishing all thoughts of the Goblin King out of my head.
"He will probably offer you a way to stay..." Hoggle murmured. "If he did, would you take it?" I shrugged.
"As long as my friend was safe and I wouldn't get turned into a goblin, maybe." My mind was racing. If I could stay, would I? Would I want to be bound to the Goblin King forever? Did I really want to stay? Shaking my head again, I focused on the task at hand. We were at the steps of the castle. "Hoggle, whatever comes next, I have to do it myself right?" He nodded. "Here. Thank you for coming with me." I tossed his jewels back to him.
"You didn't have to do that." He said in surprise. Smiling sadly at him, I started to climb the stairs. I looked back only once to see Hoggle wave at me before turning around and disappearing into the city. Climbing the stairs, I pushed the doors open and entered the empty throne room. Looking around, I saw the clock. Sighing in relief, I looked around for the doorway I knew to be there. There were three doorways behind the throne. Looking from one to the other, I started to worry. I still had time if I took the wrong door but I would have to find my way back to this room if I wanted to preserve that time.
"Think (Y/N). Think." I circled around the throne and stared at the doors. "Which one did Sarah take. Which one leads to the David Bowie impersonator." I closed my eyes and tried to visualize the scene from the movie. "She comes in and it's..." I turned slightly and opened my eyes. The doorway matched what I remembered from the film. "There." Running through, I took in the new maze. Smiling to myself, I walked to the edge and looked out of the staircase world.
"(Y/N)!" My friend called out for me. I waved down to them and took a deep breath, preparing to jump down the center.
"Expecting a song?" The voice made me jump and I turned around, putting some distance between myself and the edge. Jareth was leaning against the wall, playing with a crystal. "You won't get one." I smiled softly at him and shook my head.
"Didn't think I would." I looked over my shoulder and took a step back. I looked back at Jareth as he pushed off the wall. "Besides, you wouldn't get into it too much. I know what to do." He smirked and walked right up to me. We were standing nose to nose when he put his hand on my shoulder.
"Then do it." He whispered before giving me a gentle push. I stepped off at the same time and fell. A new platform materialized under me and I landed carefully, my friend having disappeared again. Jareth entered from a new doorway. "I assume you know what's coming." I nodded and Jareth rolled his eyes. "Then formalities and such." He waved his hand and I tried to stifle my laugh. It brought a smile to his face. "(Y/N)," my breath hitched as he said my name. Maybe Hoggle was right. "beware. I have been generous, up until now and I can be cruel."
"Generous?" I tried to fight the smile that was growing. "What have you done that's generous?" Jareth smirked at me, clearly seeing how amusing I found all of this.
"Everything." There was something about his tone that made me question all of my life's choices until that point. "Everything that you wanted I have done. You asked that your friend be taken. I took them. You cowered before me. I was frightening. I have reordered time, I have turned the world upside down, and I have done it all for you. I'm exhausted from living up to your expectations of me." He circled me. All I could do was watch him. Doubt was growing in me. Doubt that I could say the words. Doubt that going back was what I really wanted. Doubt that I could leave him behind. Doubt I could forget about him. "Isn't that generous?" His gaze softened as he came to a stop in front of me.
"I-I..." I looked around him, desperate not to look him in the eye. "Through dangers untold..." I fought to find something in me that wanted to go back. Something to focus on so I didn't have to make that choice while looking at him. "Dangers untold and hardships...." Jareth watched me, regarding me kindly and curiously. When it was clear I wasn't going to recite my part, he took control.
"Stop. Wait." He held up a crystal, taking a step closer to me. "Look (Y/N). Look at what I'm offering you." His voice had taken on a soft quality. When he didn't continue, I looked away from the crystal, meeting his eyes.
"My dreams." I whispered out. He shook his head but gave me a chance to continue. But I didn't take it.
"I ask for so little." Jareth took another step towards me. "Just let me rule you and you can have everything that you want." He had lowered the crystal, nearly letting it drop as his other hand reached out and gently took mine. His thumb ran over my knuckles, waiting for me to make a decision. I shook my head, the thoughts running rampant as I tried to find any reason to go. "Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave." Jareth whispered, gently pulling me closer to him. "The choice is yours. I've done all I must." Slowly reaching up, I cupped his cheek.
"My friend will return?" He nodded, gently leaning into my touch. "And I won't become a goblin?" He shook his head with an amused smile.
"Where would you get an idea like that?" He chuckled. "Your friend will return to your world. If you choose to stay, you will remain as you are. With me. If that is what you so choose." Jareth watched me carefully. Letting go of his hand, I reached out for the crystal. "You need to be sure." He warned. I nodded.
"I'm sure." I touched the crystal just as Jareth leaned forward and kissed me. The world around us shimmered as we were returned to the throne room. Jareth pulled away, smiling softly at me. I looked around the room, surprised by the subtle use of magic. A second throne had appeared next to the first.
"For you." He whispered as he watched me take my seat.

Chapter 1. | Chapter 2. |Chapter 3.
Tumblr media
The woman hummed a happy melody, walking around the aisles of the castle. Leah just finished her duties late that night, but she was still full of energy, so she didn't mind staying up until it was almost midnight.
As curious as she was, she found a great and magnificent door in the castle, she assumed it was the throne room. Leah did not recall ever getting in there, she was intrigued by how would it be. It was already late, and the door seemed not completely closed. The aisle was empty and there was no one around, so carefully she got inside the room.
Leah felt cold hitting her body for some reason as she closed slowly the door behind her. She observed the roof was very high and that Goblin stone heads decorated the place, making it a little intimidating. Leah looked at the throne at the back of the room, giving short steps and getting near the stairs of Jareth's empty seat.
She stopped right on the edge of the stairs, deciding whether or not to climb the stairs and sit down on the throne. Maybe she would feel powerful, just like he did. Leah swallowed thickly, thinking about the control Jareth started to have on her. Even if his orders and requests were mundane house chores, his voice and the way he managed to tell them made her feel chills and strange sensations in her body.
"I didn't expect a visitor," a familiar voice talked behind her.
She swallowed thickly and remained still. Jareth's steps got closer and closer until Leah felt the heat of his body near of her own.
"Shouldn't you be asleep by now?" Jareth questioned the woman, getting dangerously close to her, almost breathing into her neck.
"And how are you supposed to know that?"
Jareth smirked against her skin. "Oh, there are a lot of things I know about you, Leah."
Her name fell from his lips like the sweetest thing he ever heard, weirdly liking how it sounded with that deep voice of his. The Goblin king started to walk around Leah graciously and slowly. His presence was intimidating the lady, as he circled her, feeling just like his own prey without anywhere to go.
Maybe she did, but something inside of her was aching to remain right where she was standing, waiting for his next move. Jareth stopped right in front of Leah, standing face to face. He observed her from head to toe and she felt like he was eating her alive with his gaze at that moment.
"You're such a dirty girl," he teased. "And you have behaved badly, entering my throne room without permission."
"I- I didn't know it was your throne room, I'm sorry-"
Jareth interrupted her poor excuse and his hand moved steadily to her neck, applying a little of pressure around her delicate skin. He leaned down, almost touching her lips, feeling her pulse increasing.
"I wonder how you expected me to react," Jareth said darkly.
"I promise I won't do it again, just- can I leave?" Leah breathed out, her chest rising up and coming down due to her breathing and heartbeat increasing.
"I don't think I want to let you go tonight," he whispered and closed the gap between them, kissing her harshly. "You do think about me a lot at night," he said, remembering how she touched herself the past few days with him on his mind.
Jareth bit her bottom lip, searching for her tongue, and he savored the way she easily gave in, moaning against his mouth, letting the king lead the kiss they were now sharing. His hand slowly made its way to her neckline and breasts, feeling her hot skin with his fingertips. Jareth broke the kiss and whispered against her swollen lips.
"You will not escape from me, little dove, and that is an order."
Leah let a moan past her lips. Her mind was screaming for her to leave the room and run away, but her body was aching for him, for Jareth. For his touch. She desired to know what other things he could teach her, what other feelings and sensations her poor, inexperienced self would encounter. Her body was hurting by now; her body was yearning for him so deeply and she felt a pool starting to grow between her legs. And despite everything, she decided to stay. So she kissed him again, desperately, willing to obey his command.
As much as Jareth was enjoying the wet kiss they were sharing, he suddenly pulled away and walked upstairs, until he sat down carefully on the throne, looking at his prey from above. His pants were tight by now, his bulge prominent, aching to be freed. A smirk formed on his lips as Leah watched him with lustful eyes.
"What are you waiting for? Come here," he ordered harshly.
Leah followed his steps, climbing the stairs to stand in front of the Goblin king. Jareth took her hand, making her stand between his legs. The woman shivered with anticipation of what was going to happen and learned she loved the feeling of his skin on her own.
"On your knees."
Leah did as he ordered immediately, dropping her legs to the hard floor until she was facing his crotch. But her eyes never left his beautiful face. The king undid his own pants with fervor, releasing his hard cock, aching to be touched by the woman on his knees.
With a grin, Jareth read her naughty mind, realizing it was a mess and he, proudly, was the cause of that. Leah had nothing on her mind, but lust and longing for him. She felt strange sensations on her body and a weird feeling down her belly when he motioned her to come closer, breathing against his erection.
"I will guide you and you will do as I say, is that clear?"
She eagerly nodded, as submissive and innocent as she was.
"Suck."
He caressed her cheek with his hand, guiding his dick to her beautiful parted lips. She took his tip into her lips, tasting the salt on his sensitive skin. Leah started to give small licks on the tip and trace his veins with her tongue. She went slowly, making sure to keep the image of the powerful king shutting his eyes in pleasure as she went further with her lips parting around his cock and hollowing her cheeks.
Jareth's hand came around the nape of her neck, forcing her to take more of his cock inside her warm mouth. He guided her pace until she knew what he wanted from her. Leah continued, as he caressed her scalp and soft groans left his lips.
Jareth bucked his hips, just to tease, and he felt the back of her throat. She gagged a couple of times, and oh, how Jareth loved the sound of her choking with his dick repeatedly as he fucked her mouth so deliciously like he had dreamt of. He was close to the edge.
Her eyes began watering at the rapid pace he settled on her, taking him as deep as it was possible for her poor throat. The obscene sounds filled the throne room, Leah continuously gagged around his cock and low groans and moans escaped his mouth, until he finally felt the sweet release.
Leah felt him spill his seed inside her mouth, but she continued bobbing her head a couple of times, savoring the bitter taste of his release. Jareth pulled out of her mouth, groaning at the messy look in her eyes and saliva combined with his seed running down her chin. She looked even more exquisite like this.
The king leaned down, cleaning her bottom lip with his thumb and forcing the fluids into her mouth again.
"What a wonder you are," he praised.
She held back a moan, staring straight into his dark eyes. "Did I do well?"
"Yeah, and you're going to do better."

Hello! I have a request for Jareth from labyrinth if that's okay?
Could you write where, similar to Sarah but instead of wishing away a sibling, fem!reader wants to actually be taken by Jareth to his kingdom and they end up falling in love? Like, he shows her around his kingdom because she loves fantasy and makes her his queen? Thank you so much and I hope this makes sense! and please take your time!
“We’re choosing the path between the stars…” (Jareth x Fem! Reader) Labyrinth Fanfic: Part 1
Tumblr media
The only comfort in a world so rotten was a dream, a yearning for distant lands of a fantastical nature. Y/n knew this well. Her life was a nightmare and when she looked in the mirror her eyes were the only bright part left of her lifeless face. Sighing with defeat, she turned from her bedroom mirror and threw her bruised body onto her bed like a rag-doll. Weeping into her pillow she hugged herself as each sob made her breathing ragged. Thunder boomed, and rain beat at the windows of the second-story bedroom. Y/n’s father had left to work, a night shift, giving her a brief hour of peace without fear of a beating before her wretched mother came home from her job to torment her. Y/n rolled over on the bed, facing the wall with her bookshelf, now empty after her parent’s fit of rage where they followed through on their threats to box up and donate all her books. Sniffling, she sat up and reached into the crack between her mattress and her headboard, where she had stuffed her favorite fairytale book in anticipation of her mother and father’s actions.
“Labyrinth…” she whispered. Lightning flashed, lighting up the room momentarily with its cold glow. “Oh if only the Goblin King would take me away like he steals away the child in this book.” Y/n said, managing a smirk (despite the stinging pain from her cut on her lip). “I would do anything to get out of this awful place. But would the King really take an interest in me?” She got up and made her way over to her mirror, leaving the book open on her bed as she examined her face, her body, her posture. She knew she wasn’t hard on the eyes. Y/n had been in countless unsuccessful relationships with the popular boys at her college. But that didn’t mean she was without insecurities. ‘Still…’ she thought, then rushed back to the book. Flipping through the pages she found what she was looking for. The line in the book that might’ve changed her life for good, if only she’d read it out-loud. ‘This is silly…’ but her stomach felt like it was filled with stones as she stared at the words. It was a fairytale, but it was one she truly believed, even if Y/n was reluctant to admit it. Those words had weight. Now… she just had to say them. “I wish the Goblin King would take me away…” She paused, feeling her heart skip a beat. “Right now.”
Lightning flashed again, illuminating her bedroom in its brilliance. Y/n closed her eyes and stood there, waiting. Nothing happened, although when she opened her eyes the lights had gone out. She repeated the words again, this time louder. Still nothing. She said it again and again, until her throat hurt. Eventually Y/n gave up. She left her room and went down the hall feeling blindly for a flashlight on the shelves outside her parent’s bedroom. BANG. CRASHHH! Y/n whirled around stumbling through the darkness back to her bedroom where the loud noise had come from. She flashed her flashlight around her room. The doors to her balcony had flung themselves open, and rain poured in, soaking the ground. She blinked as it hit her cheeks. Y/n grabbed the handles of the double doors and forced them closed. They clicked as she locked them, and only then did she notice the electricity in the air, as though…. ‘As though someone is watching me…’ She thought, heart racing. She turned slowly, trembling. The Goblin King stood there, a few feet away, surrounded by glitter and a dark sweeping cape.
“You… came…” Y/n blinked back tears.
The King flashed her a wickedly handsome grin. “You’re a lucky girl, Y/n. If I hadn’t been looking into my crystal, I wouldn’t have bothered answering a call like yours. You do know that changing the words makes them less effective?”
“Oh… I’m sorry.” Y/n mumbled. “Your majesty, you have no idea—“
“—Jareth, darling, its Jareth.” He interjected, stepping forward into the moonlight that peaked through the storm clouds and reaching up towards her face. Y/n stared up at him with wide eyes as he used his gloved fingers to brush away her tears.
“You have no idea how relieved and grateful I am that you came, Jareth.” Y/n said, blushing nervously as he examined the bruised side left side of her face. She watched his eyes darken with intensity as they observed the clear remnants of her last beating. “I can explain…” Y/n said, wracking her brain for less embarrassing alternatives to the truth of her situation at home.
“No need.” Jareth frowned, as if he understood the truth just by meeting her gaze. “I’ll grant your wish, Y/n, but you must understand once I take you to my palace, there is no returning to this world. There is no turning back.”
Y/n nodded without hesitation.
“Well then, you’ve made your decision.” He smirked. The Goblin King took her hand, and the room around them faded into a blur. Y/n felt dizzy as the light of a setting sun overwhelmed her senses and wind blew her hair back. She found herself overlooking an infinite maze from the highest window in a castle. The sky was coral and amethyst as the sun got lower and lower. Jareth sat across from her, fingering four crystal balls so they spun in circles between and around his fingers. seeing his handsome face in this new lighting took Y/n’s breath away.
“The book doesn’t do you justice…, you know.” Y/n said softly.
King Jareth arched an elegant brow, but said nothing. He turned the crystals into bubbles and let the wind carry each one gracefully away. Finally, after quite some time, he spoke. “There’s a masquerade tonight. I suppose I wouldn’t mind if you should show up…” He said smugly, turning to her.
Y/n smiled. She remembered the masquerades mentioned in the book. “Of course! I’d love to go.”
To be continued in Part 2….

When you read a fanfic, you prefer the ones that directly address the reader, for example: "she takes your hand and lays a soft kiss on it". Or the ones that speak in third person (create an oc??) but don't give a description of the character, so you can feel identified anyway? Like: "she took their hand, depositing a soft kiss on it"?
When it comes to writing it, for me, the second option is much more comfortable and natural, although I don't know if anyone would be willing to read something like that? Akshdhd I'm writing this anyway because it's what keeps me sane right now, but I suppose I could upload it if anyone would be interested in it?
The fanfic is from Labyrinth, 1986. I'm delving into the backstory of Jareth's character, the Goblin city, the fae world, and obviously there's romance.
I'm maybe cringe but I'm free. Thanks for your attention little Goblins, I'd love to read you <3 Oh, I forgot, I'm also doing drawings!!

And here we have Valarian, slithering into the masquerade...
[Valarian] closed the flap of his black leather satchel and turned the small metal lock on it. “I might have a hole in my bag.” “You think?” said the bird. The feathered creature watched the man close his bag and readjust it to hang comfortably at his hip. The black bird stretched out his head, fluffing out his hackles. He cocked his head from side to side then croaked, “I thought that was a sash”. “What’s that?” asked the man. “The strap of your satchel… covered in medals. I thought that was a sash all along. Didn’t realize it was just the strap of your bag.” “Not everything is as it appears,” the man said with a smirk. “How poetic,” said the bird in a dry monotone.

Fic authors self-rec! ✨ When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you’ve written, then pass on to at least five other writers ❤️
Thanks for the tags @bad-surprise and @wyrd-syster
Mine are all from other fandoms, but just in case any Reylos still follow me or your sexual awakening was also Jareth the Goblin King 😂, I'll share my 5 favorite fics that I’ve written w/ all the old shit I made for them:
1. when the moon met the sun in the sky [reylo fantasy au | E | 71k | 20/20] — To date my proudest work, just because it was fun to try and attempt to evoke a Miyazaki-style fantasy world, and the world-building was so much fun.
"Who?" Rey asked.
She knew who. But she didn't know what else to say.
The man called Kylo Ren — Ben, her mind whispered — rolled his shoulders, a tick she'd seen before, a thousand times at least; an echo of a boy she used to know.
He seemed to notice. He took a tentative step toward her. When she flinched in response, he froze.
"Don't do that," he said, soft as a psalm. His dark eyes darted over every inch of her.
"Do what?" she asked.
"Lie."
Tumblr media
2. Boon [reylogan heist au | E | 39k | 12/20] — This is such a niche fic in the first place because it’s a crossover between SW and Logan Lucky, but man, it was so fun and Rey/Clyde are so soft. I’d never attempted to write a heist and I obviously didn’t finish but I still have a fondness for this (permanently? IDK) on hiatus little fic.
“Your jar looks like it’s full of stars,” Sadie said, gaping at it.
“It does,” Clyde agreed. He raised his own. “Time to set them free?”
Sadie nodded, skipping into the night to release hers. As Rey turned to follow, Clyde snaked his good hand around her wrist.
“Follow me.”
He led her around the house, where the night felt denser, darker, somehow warmer. Underfoot, wild daisies swayed in the dying summer breeze.
“Here,” he murmured. She smiled at him, then twisted the top of her jar off. He followed suit. Together, they shook the little bugs free — to fly away, blinking little lights in the darkness; hazy yellow stars they might touch.
Tumblr media
3. Crown Glass [reylo fantasy au | M | 4k | 1/1] — I love this one because it just sort of came into being; a prompt/gift one-shot that took on a mind of its own, but I got to play more with present tense and some high-fantasy elements bouncing around in my brain.
She shouldn’t be able to find it. But she does.
It stands tall, tucked away in the back of the cellar; she weaves through abandoned armor, crusted cauldrons, and shelves and shelves of spellbooks to reach it. It’s old, ancient even; she can feel that, even if she’d never set eyes on it, full-length and ringed in circles of crown glass that shimmer in the gloom.
She reaches out a hand, skimming the surface–
And then a world appears on the other side.
A room, awash in milky moonlight. A desk, buried by books. A bed…
And a man.
She draws her hand back, heart thumping as loud as the magic in her ears.
The world flickers and fades back into blackness.
Tumblr media
4. This is the Sign You've Been Looking For [reylo modern au | E | 29k | 10/10] — My first real Reylo fic and what got me back into writing after years away, so I have to give it credit! Also my first ever AU, and Virgin artist Ben Solo and sign maker Rey were so sweet and sad but with a nice HEA.
"I'm sorry," Rey murmured, drawing close. She could only seem to look at her feet.
He pressed a large palm to her face, tilting her head up to look at him. The music filtering in from the living room was noticeably softer; vaguely, Rey recognized Elton's "Your Song" playing in the background and decided it was a good idea to rest her hands on Ben's hips.
He glanced down at her touch, swallowing hard.
"Don't be," he hummed.
Tumblr media
5. Muse [Labyrinth canonverse fic | E | 82k | 20/20] — I have a lot of Feelings about this fic, but I have to include it even though a part of me wants to edit it into oblivion, haha. I feel like I’ve come so far as a writer since finishing this in my early twenties, but I’ll always appreciate this for how it helped me improve, for how it gave me an avenue to do more with fantasy world-building, and for the nice response it got in a small little fandom.
"Why did you give me the peach?"
He stared at her, his expression unfathomable.
"Are you going to answer me?" asked Sarah quietly.
"You know why I gave it to you," replied Jareth, "To make you forget."
"No," continued Sarah, "I know. That wasn't what I meant. Why did you give me the peach, knowing that I would never be able to leave after taking a bite?"

Chapter 1. | Chapter 2. | Chapter 3.
Tumblr media
Jareth remembered vividly that day when the woman fell to the Underground.
Sitting lonely on the oblong dark table by himself, he had dedicated the last minutes of his day to eat - almost against his will - the well-done dinner the goblins prepared specially for him. Defeated and feeling weak, Jareth spent the last months trying to forget everything about Sarah and her brother. It was ridiculous. How he had become this bored, shattered man on his own. Of course, his own goblins were kind of fools, easy enough to get them to do whatever he wanted, but it wasn't enough. Jareth swallowed a bite of the exquisite steak, and even if it was fair delicious, his mood often shattered down the smallest of the pleasures he still was able to enjoy as a King, including something as mundane as eating.
But that same night, a little old goblin quickly made his way to Jareth, squeaking and muttering unintelligible noises as if trying to say something but couldn't catch any of his babbling.
"What is it?" he questioned, rather annoyed.
"Majesty, Majesty! A woman! She’s fallen into the Labyrinth!"
A woman? He frowned. No, it couldn't be her. Sarah knew how to summon him and it was completely impossible for someone to enter just like that.
"Goblins found her, Majesty! You must come!"
Were the goblins sure it was really a woman? Worst, she might be even human. Jareth hesitated for a moment after remaining silent. He got on his feet quickly forgetting the dinner, scaring away his subject.
"Lead the way," he ordered.
The little creature guided Jareth to come to the Castle gates, where a small crowd was there murmuring and surrounding the so-said woman, who seemed to lie down on the hard concrete. Once the King appeared, the goblins started to make room for him to get closer to the lady. She was graciously asleep over some piled-up clothes that might have been improvised by the goblins to give her some sort of comfort on the hard ground, and a large beige gown adorned her figure as her chest rose in a calm way, just as the look on her face. How was this possible? He didn't know, but she was right there. He bent down slowly, taking better sight of her.
"Has she been asleep since you found her?"
"Yes, Majesty!" the goblin who guided Jareth said behind his back. "She's been sleeping like a log!"
Jareth came closer, prudent of each one of his moves, noticing a shiny necklace hanging around her neck preciously with a black pearl stone decorating her skin. Fascinated by it, his fingers brushed over the pearl softly. A soft breath went past the woman's lips, her eyes opening wide at the sudden touch. The goblin king backed up a little, letting the mysterious woman sit down in horrid, and before her, the quite grand number of creatures watching her attentively as she moved slowly, feeling eyes over her.
"Where am I?" she panted, looking at the man who looked as human as she did.
"This is the Goblin City, and you're trespassing my kingdom," Jareth explained to her. He was standing tall, towering over her and she looked at him from down below.
"How is it that I am here," she mumbled, holding a cry. Her eyes scanned her surroundings, the unknown place she fell on was strange and she started to feel she was unwelcome there.
The piercing eyes of the man were all scanning the woman, who was kneeling quietly before going to her feet.
"Where are you from?" Jareth questioned her, the globins made enough space around their king and their visitor so she could not escape in case she tried to.
"I- I don't know... I don't remember anything," she stammered, scared of the king.
Jareth tried to go over her mind and thoughts but found nothing, but a blank space and a word that might seem like a name, repeating constantly in her head.
"Do you have a name?"
The woman blinked and swallowed hard before speaking softly again.
"Leah."
Leah.
Leah.
Leah.
Her name was spinning in his head like it was the first time. Jareth took her to the castle after learning he could not read her mind nor find a single memory, which was certainly unusual. However, he felt some sort of compassion in his heart, and the sentiment was strong enough to make him decide to take her with him. Jareth let her settle down in one of the rooms he had and ordered the goblins to take whatever she needed. But as time grew, Leah found herself in debt after not doing more than the bare minimum - such as eating, cleaning her room, reading books from the library, and taking strolls in the city, or at least, what she could see from it.
Jareth wasn't really fond of Leah going out of the castle, but he understood she needed to go out for some time. After two days, she came in very happy of having encountered a new friend. Let's say Hoggle's name was not the best thing to hear for Jareth that day. He still had a bitter feeling over the dwarf, so knowing Leah had befriended him was not good news at all. But he let it slip away, just for her.
Days later, Leah found herself wanting to help in the castle, so she shyly asked Jareth for it. That's another thing he will never forget.
It was, perhaps, the third time in the five days she has been in the castle, that she had dinner with him. Leah normally would be very quiet, but she was right there sitting on the table some feet away from Jareth, asking if she was able to do some of the work along with the goblins.
"Are you getting bored?" Jareth simply asked, a light smirk forming on his lips.
Her face grew hot at his eyes lurking on her. "Maybe..."
"Tell me something you can offer me to have you working around," he told.
"I am interested in cooking, I can learn!"
Leah didn't know a single thing, more than her own name. Jareth tried to read her again after some time, and he just found her hesitant under his gaze. Jareth was very aware he was terrifying and he loved that, mostly because he spent years and years bored and defeated, but having Leah as a companion sometimes was interesting, just like that night.
"You can, certainly."
"Really?" the woman seemed to be taken by surprise.
"If that's what you want, you can go on. The goblins will help you with learning all you want to learn, and you can serve me."
"I will" A smile curled on her pretty face, and Jareth took a great liking to her determination.
He stayed within her thoughts, finding passion and happiness in her head, with so much anticipation of what she would learn. She didn't look past thirty human years, so it was quite curious for Jareth how she lost her memory. Jareth of course would find a way how to do that but decided to wait a little bit more. He got on his feet, his silver plate and the goblet were left empty as he walked toward Leah, who was still in her seat. His gloved right hand cupped her cheek and rubbed it softly with his thumb.
"Why don't you start now, clean the dining room," he ordered.
She felt the heat rising on her, not sure why he was provoking that type of reaction on her body and soul, but his touch, even when the glove was on, felt right and good. And Jareth, of course, noticed this. Leah nodded, holding his gaze, feeling hypnotized by his beautiful and deep eyes. A mischievous smile drew on his face before letting go of her and walking outside the dining room. Oh, she was going to be so much fun to be with.

Powerless (2017) | Chapter 5, "Everything I've Done"
Years after Sarah’s wit and bravery saved her brother and brought the Labyrinth to its knees, her daughter Andie is transported to what remains of that same fantastical place, somewhere she thought only existed in her favorite childhood stories. To find her way back home, she must traverse what’s left of the crumbling kingdom, find a way to set both moments and magic in motion again, and even save the Goblin King, himself. But who will save her from him?
Powerless is a SFW slow-burn romance between Jareth and an original female character. The story overall contains descriptions of fantasy violence, mild suggestive content, and grief regarding family illness. Chapter-by-chapter warnings will be provided as well.
Tumblr media
Summary: Andie and Jareth get acquainted while waiting for help. Jareth offers her an alliance that hinges on her helping him guard the truth of his condition and reclaim his kingdom.
Pairing: Jareth x Fem!OC
Warnings: None
Word Count: 2.9k
Tumblr media
"Do be quiet, they won't hear you," said the voice wearily nearby as Andie shouted again, having scrambled back out of the light when he'd first spoken, her eyes still searching the gloomy subterranean perimeter for the owner. "Even so, this is an oubliette. Do you know what that is?"
Andie faltered. "A… It's a trap, isn't it?"
"Indeed. For those to be forgotten."
"Who are you?"
She was finally able to make out a dark form sitting opposite where she stood, but no details came into focus for the lack of light. It was the most human figure she'd seen here yet, even more so than the half-human Nyle. "I think a better question is who you are," the male voice countered as he stood, making his way over to her side of the cave. "You don't seem to be who I first thought. And how have you come to my labyrinth to fall down a hole?"
Her eyes widened incrementally. "Your labyrinth—wait… You're the Goblin King, aren't you?"
A soft chuckle danced around the space just as a boot crossed the rim of the light shining down from the opening she'd made high above them. Into view stepped one of the most eccentric looking men she'd ever seen and, even with the oddities in his appearance ranging from his somewhat spiky blond hair and some smudges of what appeared to be eyeliner around his eyes, he could have easily passed for human. Had she not known the truth, anyway. His teeth glittered faintly as he sent a weary, yet Cheshire smile her way. "Now, that is something I've not heard someone call me in quite some time."
"What are you doing down here?"
"All questions I could easily be asking you," he pointed out, eying her closely. She wondered if he was somehow able to see better than she was down here. Then again, who knew how long he'd been down here. Now that she thought about it, his hair looked matted in places, his clothes a bit rumpled, and he appeared particularly thin, though she had no memory of him to compare his present self to. Perhaps that was just the way he looked.
"Well, then maybe—," Andie began, only to pause when she heard a faint echo of her name down the tunnel. She brushed past him to peer up toward the light, where she could now see a pin-sized head peeping over. "I'm down here!" she shouted, cupping her hands around her mouth to project her voice more efficiently.
"Stay there! I'm coming down to get you!" Hoggle shouted and he disappeared from over the opening.
"Yeah, where else am I going to go…," she muttered softly, smoothing a hand through her hair before regarding Jareth again. He was watching her with an amused sort of air and the scrutiny in his eyes unnerved her. "What I was saying is maybe we should both be answering these obvious questions. Since we'll probably be stuck here awhile."
He scoffed a bit. "You've no idea what 'awhile' is, girl."
"I take it you didn't just get here, too," she noted with a grimace.
"Oh, no," he murmured with a slight shake of his head. "No, I've lost track of the years."
Andie's eyes widened. "Years? How are you still alive?"
"Time has stopped in this world. With it, so has the aging process for every creature in attendance," he explained calmly before sitting down on the floor again. "Even you."
"So, you just…"
"Starved without emaciating, withered without withering, oh… Yes. And it was more excruciating than actually dying such a pathetic death." He looked at her wearily. "Sit. You're tiring me further by standing like that."
"Well, excuse me," she grumbled, but sat down nearby. "Why couldn't you just magic yourself out? I'm sure the king of the goblins has some kind of magical ability, right? Or am I relying too heavily on fairytales?"
Jareth chuckled, but the sound was weak. He seemed disgusted by it. "I had that ability, long ago. But that's left me, too, it seems. I'm sure the lack of time progression has something to do with that."
"Why would that have any influence?" Andie asked dubiously.
He seemed worn out by her questions already, though she figured he was probably just worn out, period. "Because have you ever had something remotely in the realm of 'magical' happen while you're standing still? Isn't it always after moving forward?"
"You're getting a bit too existentialist on me, Jareth," she commented.
"Now, is it fair that you know my name yet I do not know yours?"
"I guess not. It's Andie."
"Andie, hm? I've never heard such a name. Short for…?"
"Cassandra."
"Interesting," Jareth murmured, though his bored tone disagreed with that sentiment. "So, Andie, what were your other questions? My memory is slacking with my current state of health, as I'm sure you understand."
She was somewhat suspicious of his manners—Hoggle had made it sound like he was a wild, aggressive thing, but it looked like he could barely move. She half expected him to turn on her at any moment, at least until she figured she might just be his ticket out of here. He was perhaps simply lucky she'd dropped in, pun intended. "How'd you end up down here?"
"I lost my magic directly after the Labyrinth, itself, fell to pieces," he said uncomfortably and she could only wonder why he was telling her this. "Those I presided over grew more rampant and restless and some attempted a mutiny once they felt the scales begin to tilt. I thought it wise to disappear awhile."
"You meant to get trapped down here?"
"Of course not. I took the plunge down here while attempting to disappear, of course," he said irritably before sighing and glancing at the tunnel over them. "Succeeded too thoroughly, I suppose."
"Why are you telling me this?" Andie finally asked. "About your magic being gone and your blunders, why would you give me that information when we've only just met?"
Jareth looked at her pensively before replying, "I need your help. And you must know that it is quite humiliating for me to say that. It is also a leap to trust you with that explanation, as—you're right—I've known you but a few moments in a timeless world. However, I would hope for both our sakes that this is not a mistake."
"What do you need my help for?"
"Well, first for getting out of here, which you've already managed to do just by being here. Also for finding a way to return the Labyrinth to its original form. I need time to move again so I can regain my power and my control over this unpredictable place."
"I'm supposed to help you with that?"
"You seem moderately intelligent," he said with a lift of his shoulders that made Andie want to pummel him. "And you seem to have already won allies. I will need such connections and, this time, they cannot stem only from fear." Jareth's intense gaze moved over to meet hers again as he said his next words. "I will also need you to keep my lack of magic to yourself. Under no circumstances can I afford this information to be divulged. Do you understand?"
Andie met his gaze levelly before looking at her hands and saying seriously, "You know, it's unwise to go on first impressions of people."
"I do not have much choice at this moment. I need someone on my side."
"And what makes you think I'm on your side?"
"Well," he murmured, beginning to become irked but containing it. "You are not not on my side…"
"That is terrible logic," Andie told him. "Awful. You're lucky you've not been killed on that thinking."
"Indeed, but it is true," he groused. "Look, I'm putting a good amount of faith in you, recognize that this does not come lightly—"
"Or with permission."
"Andie," he grumbled.
"All right, all right," Andie muttered. "But make more informed decisions in the future. I may not spill your secret, but I'm not planning on risking my neck to save your skin either. And don't act like you know me, like we're friends. You don't know anything about me."
"And the same applies in reverse," Jareth pointed out. "At least I'm willing."
"Because you want something from me."
"There is no point in denying it, as I've already made that clear. Yes. I want your help."
"Earn it," Andie snipped just as a hidden door nearby swung open and Hoggle entered the oubliette.
"I knew I shoulda gone with ya, are you—" He paled when his eyes found Jareth. "It's you!"
"In the flesh," Jareth said flippantly, shooting a glance toward Andie as he stood. "Having a chat with your new friend. Say…" He paused and looked at her considerately. "How did you come to be in my Labyrinth anyway?"
"I picked up a glass peach, it cut my hand, and then—boom—I was here."
Interest sparked in his eyes and she began to ponder what Hoggle had warned her about earlier. "And how did you manage to come across such a trinket?" he asked softly.
She started to answer and, after catching Hoggle's eye, who was practically begging her silently not to tell the truth, she said instead, "I found it. In a thrift store."
Jareth's eyes narrowed slightly, but he didn't press the subject. "Curious."
"Indeed," she murmured, not breaking his gaze. He watched her a moment longer before nodding and walking toward the door, ducking low to make his way into the tunnel beyond. She looked down at Hoggle. "Thank you for coming down here."
"Of course, though I might've done things differently had I known he was down here, too," he murmured, casting a sideways glance through the doorway. "Go on."
Andie stepped through the doorway and then straightened up, hearing Hoggle walk out and shut the door behind them. They then began to walk down the tunnel, Hoggle stepping ahead to lead the way. There was something rigid in Jareth's frame that reminded Andie of a caged animal wary of recapture, so she kept her distance. However, the young woman nearly leapt out of her skin when a booming voice shattered the silence only permeated by their footsteps. "TURN BACK."
"YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY," boomed another up where Hoggle was walking.
"Oh, shut it," Hoggle grumbled, ignoring the enormous stone heads. "Don't mind them, they're just False Alarms."
"NO, THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING."
"Now, that's just rude, trying to steer people off course," she accused the last one to shout.
"It's… It's my job, Miss," it said awkwardly, glancing away from her. When it didn't shout again, she cut it some slack, moving along to catch up with Hoggle and Jareth, who had slowed to wait. Jareth still had an air of amusement about him, but said nothing.
After following Hoggle through the winding tunnels of the Underground, they reached the end and crawled out through a small burrow, camouflaged beneath a line of brush. Hoggle turned around to help Andie out and grimaced when Jareth stepped out as well. He leaned toward Andie and whispered, "What's he still doing here?"
She shrugged. "Feels like tagging along, I guess."
"Not fond of my company, Hogarth? I'm offended," Jareth commented patronizingly.
"It's Hoggle! I see at least one thing hasn't changed in this place!" he grumped as he began to lead the way back to the campsite.
Walking ahead to mutter about things Andie only heard bits and pieces of, she walked at her own pace, finding that she'd scraped her cheek a bit when she'd fallen in the oubliette. "Stupid hands," she sighed as she ran her fingertips over the uneven edge of the scrape and winced when it stung.
Ludo was pacing around the camp when they got back, visibly relieved when he saw that they'd come back. Andie couldn't be sure whether he just didn't notice Jareth or didn't have an opinion of him since he didn't react to the addition to their party, but Jareth certainly didn't seem to care for the bumbling giant. Didymus, Leona, and Nyle all had their reactions, however.
"Oh, goodness me, are you all right?!" Didymus fussed as he hurried over to them, his jaw dropping when he saw Jareth. "And where on earth did he come from?"
"Everyone is so shocked to see me, where did you all think I went?" Jareth muttered with a roll of his dual-colored eyes, which soon fell upon the half-goblin nearby. "Nyle. An interesting surprise."
Nyle inclined his head, but the venom in his voice was plain. "Your Highness."
"Indeed," Jareth agreed flippantly, which only seemed to piss Nyle off more. Andie made a mental note to ask him about the Goblin King a little later on, expecting a nicely candid answer from someone with such a sour opinion and not afraid to express it. "And…?"
"Leona," the sphinx said calmly, though her eyes were narrowed with some contempt.
"Ah, yes… You've left your post."
She snorted softly through her stone nose and Andie wondered suddenly if she was only stone on the outside or if some kind of magic made her stone body malleable. She couldn't really say why she kept wondering about these things when none of it made sense, but her brain hadn't stopped trying to categorize and decipher the oddities yet. "So have you."
"The entirety of the Labyrinth is my post, I recall assigning you to the clocktower."
"It was the side entrance to the castle and this place is already so disorderly, it hardly matters."
Jareth arched a brow her way. "You would speak so to your king?"
"I am fashioned to fear nothing and, as such, I have nothing to fear," she said dismissively. "This is what makes my guardianship so absolute."
"Hm," he murmured before shrugging it off. "Fair enough." He appeared to be a mixture of equal parts miffed and impressed. "Say, where might your… A-ha!" He'd sighted the provisions, but Hoggle began to make a beeline toward the stash. "Excuse me, dwarf, you think this wise?"
Hoggle paused and seemed conflicted in what to do next, but ended up slowly stepping away, muttering about being a coward. It was no wonder he wanted everyone to still think he had his magic, Andie noted. He's an absolute bully. She watched Jareth step over and pour himself a cup of tea from leaves Didymus had contributed, which had tasted strangely like cold medicine to Andie, and help himself to the leftover food. Didymus looked to Andie after a moment of quiet had passed in which everyone had cast judgy, aggravated glances toward Jareth and said, "I was thinking, perhaps the Wiseman would have some, well, wisdom for you on how you might return home."
"The Wiseman?" she repeated curiously.
"Exactly as he sounds, milady. Quite wise. And it couldn't hurt to ask, could it?"
"Not at all, thank you for saying something," Andie said with a smile before heading over to sit near the wall, where she'd taken lunch earlier. A patch of dark sky had wandered near and had begun to take over the area of the courtyard and for about a square mile all around. Her fatigue hit her all at once and Andie slouched just enough to gain a stable position and before she knew it, her eyes had shut and she was out like a light.
Jareth was making a point of eating slowly, despite his stomach feeling as if it would gnarl and swallow the rest of his insides at the first sign of nutrients in centuries. The curse of living agelessly while his body's needs and soul's unrest rotted him in a cell was disturbingly potent, as he'd previously had doubts that anything in this world could faze him any longer. It was all he could do not to cringe every time he swallowed another bit of dried meat or sandwich, it didn't matter what he ate or drank from the provisions by the fire, it all felt like lead in his stomach. He could feel eyes on him though, and knew now wasn't the time to show even mild discomfort.
Darkness closed in around them and painted the visible overhead with spiraling stars and an endless depth of black. Jareth listened to the other creatures around the campsite shift and settle into place for the "night," though the cycle of light had been disrupted with the rest of the reality around them. Once he heard stillness fall back over the courtyard, he looked up, surveying the faces decorated by shadows and the flicker of the fire. Jareth glanced away from Ludo and Didymus across the clearing with disinterest, his gaze settling on the dark-haired girl to his right. He stared at her for a long moment before scoffing softly to himself and looking back down to his tea, which he sipped deeply and then nearly choked on, before going off to rest for the night as well, though the last thing he felt the need for was sleep after spending so long in the dark of the earth and his own mind.
It was only forever, he thought to himself with a dismal tinge of melancholy disguising itself as irony and humor. His lips curved without the expression touching his eyes. Not long at all.
