Ooh, great questions.

My favourite mountain is the only one I've ever climbed - Doldenhorn in Switzerland. It overlooks Oeschinen lake which has some of the bluest water I've ever seen.

For favourite moon, I'm going to have to say Titan which is one of Saturn's moons. It's the only moon in our solar system that has a denser atmosphere than earth, which I think is pretty neat!

I am unfortunately one of those terrible anglophones that can only speak English. I did study French (and a tiny bit of Latin) in school, but I've forgotten pretty much all of it.

I would love to learn Japanese if I had the time, because it's on my bucket list to visit.

below are my rambling thoughts on ships!

xlh/dfqc - what can i say? they're just perfection. it's the perfect mix of slow-burn but with intensity right from the start. i love how insane they are for each other. i love that she makes him a better person (quite literally). and i love that he wants to be better for her.

chidi/rong-hao - i love these two for the same reason i love xlh/dfqc, because in my mind they are the foils of each other. rong-hao is basically a blueprint of what could have happened to dfqc under ever so slightly different circumstances. one of my favourite parallels is that as righteous as dfqc is in the end, ultimately when he was given the choice by tai-sui to destroy the world or lose orchid, he chose to side with tai-sui. it's only that rong-hao interrupted him that stopped him following through fully with going dark-side.

siming/changyuan - i love these two mostly because of how out-of-nowhere their reveal feels. i only found out recently that they have a whole novel together which makes way more sense. but in the show it's dropped in at the eleventh hour "oh, orchid's master isn't around because she ran off with a criminal dragon and now they're exiled at the corner of the universe." i love that for them. i'm really hoping they get their own show one day.

when and how did u get into clj/lbfad :0 and are there other cdramas u recommend in particular? (i’m seeing some of the content on your blog haha)

hi! hi!

i watched lbfad back in 2022 when it was airing on netflix. a fandom friend recommended it to me because we're into a lot of the same enemies to lovers ships. it was my very first cdrama and nothing has ever been able to top it. i've been a lurker in the fandom for a few years, but it's only in the last couple of months that i've dipped my toe into creating works.

as for other dramas... love of the divine tree (which is currently airing) is coming pretty close to my love of lbfad. it's pretty different to lbfad in terms of plot and setting, but the vibes are similar. it's enemies to friends to lovers to strangers to enemies to friends to lovers to enemies to ??? deliciousness.

other cdramas i've enjoyed are moonlight mystique (great start, but kind of lost steam towards the end) and love you seven times (very fun and plenty silly at times).

Hi anon!

He's such a sweet child, and before his father starts trying to remove his emotions he doesn't display any of the callousness or detachment that we see from adult!dfqc (from before his tree of emotions gets revived). He loves music and wood carving. He loves his dad and his auntie.

I think if there had been no war, and his father hadn't removed his emotions, he would've been a great peacetime ruler. So much of dfqc's personality at the start of the show is from nurture rather than nature. And one of my favourite things about the show is watching his personality shift as he relearns how he was a child.

You can use any travel method you like, walking, public transport, so on. You can get an uber but their map has failed so you'll have to give directions. You can travel to other countries and count those libraries but you have to be able to completely navigate from your home without assistance. So you can catch a plane but must be able to travel to and from the airport. No limit on how long it takes. If you know which block it's on or which tram line but aren't sure precisely, but you feel sure you'd find it once you got there, count that as a yes (if you're not sure maybe google it now and see if your plan would work). You cannot rely on asking for directions though, this must be all your knowledge
