She‘s listed as the only #dog and will heal in the comfort of a quiet loving home Bad news 😢the people who adopted Shadow yesterday, returned her to the shelter today. The only reason they gave was they didn’t like her. . We hope everyone know that most dogs would need some time to decompress when they leave the shelter. They have feelings and they are not purses or toys. The Shadow we know is sweet and kind, she loves people and affection. . Please everyone, help Shadow find a home. Shadow is a spectacular 3-year-old who was brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on February 11th by her former owner for no known reason. Weighing 77 lbs, Shadow became an instant volunteer favorite thanks to her sunny disposition and adorable low-rider physique. She walks politely on leash, may be housebroken, and knows how to sit on command. When she met a child walk through the shelter yard, she went immediately into a down position, wagged so sweetly, waiting to be petted. We think she would be an excellent fit for a family. This gorgeous 84 lbs boy is at Harbor Shelter in urgent need of the right EXPERIENCED RESCUER who can get him safely out of the shelter and into the rehabilitation he needs. Poor four year old Duke is quite uneasy in the shelter environment since being surrendered on 2/11/20 when his previous owners moved. He’s becoming more stressed with each day he spends in the kennel, and he desperately needs a way back to calm and stability. Duke’s previous owners reported that he was playful and obedient. Volunteers report that Duke has been friendly and playful in the yard and enjoyed being pet! He’s also had a successful off leash meet with a large female dog. (Video below.) Since being at that shelter, however, Duke has been very nervous, especially in his kennel. He is RED ALERT URGENT and RESCUE ONLY due to his kennel behavior, and reported bite incidents that occurred during both transportation and kennel cleaning. Duke needs a hero who has experience with huskies and can give him the support he needs. We believe in this guy and urgently want to see him prance off to happiness and stability!
