This gorgeous 84 lbs boy is at Harbor Shelter in urgent need of the right EXPERIENCED RESCUER who can get him safely out of the shelter and into the rehabilitation he needs. Poor four year old Duke is quite uneasy in the shelter environment since being surrendered on 2/11/20 when his previous owners moved. He’s becoming more stressed with each day he spends in the kennel, and he desperately needs a way back to calm and stability. Duke’s previous owners reported that he was playful and obedient. Volunteers report that Duke has been friendly and playful in the yard and enjoyed being pet! He’s also had a successful off leash meet with a large female dog. (Video below.) Since being at that shelter, however, Duke has been very nervous, especially in his kennel. He is RED ALERT URGENT and RESCUE ONLY due to his kennel behavior, and reported bite incidents that occurred during both transportation and kennel cleaning. Duke needs a hero who has experience with huskies and can give him the support he needs. We believe in this guy and urgently want to see him prance off to happiness and stability!
